Not all Jews are atheists, just as not all people who call themselves Christians truly espouse the faith. Many politicians tell the world they are Christians, but only because of political expediency. An interesting parallel in America today is those who consider themselves to be Christian, but their actions and belief systems will tell you different. Both Bill and Hillary Clinton tell the world they are Methodists, but their actions and lifestyle say otherwise. There is NOTHING Christian about their lives. Bill is a philandering, unrepentant adulterer, while Hillary is an AC/DC (bisexual) lesbian; both of which are counter to the Christian belief system.

You are not BORN a Christian, anymore than you are born a Methodist. It is a conscious CHOICE. Anything else is hypocrisy of the worst kind.

I support the RIGHT of Israel to remain a free state. That does not mean I support atheistic Jews or Marxists.

This documentary film, produced by the Jones e-Global Library, delineates militant atheism in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).

According to Harold J. Berman, a Harvard specialist in Soviet law, militant atheism was the official religion of the Soviet Union and the Communist Party was analagous to an established church. The goal of the Soviet Union was the liquidation of religion and the means to achieve this goal included the destruction of churches, mosques, synagogues, mandirs, madrasahs, religious monuments, as well the mass deportation to Siberia of believers of different religions.

Under the Soviet doctrine of separation of church and state, detailed in the Constitution of the Soviet Union, churches in the Soviet Union were forbidden to give to the poor or carry on educational activities.

They could not publish literature since all publishing was done by state agencies, although after World War II the Russian Orthodox Church was given the right to publish church calendars, a very limited number of Bibles, and a monthly journal in a limited number of copies. Churches were forbidden to hold any special meetings for children, youth or women, or any general meetings for religious study or recreation, or to open libraries or keep any books other than those necessary for the performance of worship services.

Furthermore, under militant atheist policies, Church property was expropriated. Moreover, not only was religion banned from the school and university system, but pupils were to be indoctrinated with atheism and anti-religious teachings.

For example, schoolchildren were asked to convert family members to atheism and memorize anti-religious rhymes, songs, and catechisms, while university students who declined to propagate atheism lost their scholarships and were expelled from universities. Severe criminal penalties were imposed for violation of these rules. By the 1960s, with the fourth Soviet anti-religious campaign underway, half of the amount of Russian Orthodox churches were closed, along with five out of the eight seminaries. In addition, several other Christian denominations were brought to extinction, including the Baptist Church, Methodist Church, Evangelical Christian Church, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Before the Russian Revolution, there were more than fifty thousand Russian Orthodox clergymen, by 1939, there were no more than three to four hundred left. In the year 1922 alone, under the militant atheistic system, 2691 secular priests, 1962 monks and 3447 nuns were martyred for their faith. According to Rudolph Joseph Rummel, professor emeritus of political science at the University of Hawaii, 61,000,000 people were killed under the Communism of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

Due to the militant atheistic campaigns against Judaism, the religion was inaccessible to its followers; most Soviet Jews focused on a national identity, which fueled a mass dissident movement. Marxist-Leninist militant atheism resulted in the administrative elimination of the clergy, the housing of atheist museums where churches had once stood, the sending of many religious people to prisons and concentration camps, a continuous stream of propaganda, and the imposing of atheism through education (and forced re-education through torture at various prisons).

Specifically, by 1941, 40,000 Christian churches and 25,000 Muslim mosques had been closed down and converted into schools, cinemas, clubs, warehouses and grain stores, or Museums of Scientific Atheism.

Education Spending Booms, Results Stagnant 

by Jordan Candler:  We’re just a few days removed from National School Choice Week, which has taken on broader significance during the Trump era. Columnist Star Parker wrote recently on this issue and the urgency of school reform amidst horrible proficiency statistics.

          As Parker notes, America’s financial contribution to education is second to none. Yet none of that additional investment is evident in overall grades. Students here rank 23, 25 and 40 globally when it comes to reading, science and math, respectively. Moreover, she writes, “In the case of our black children, the results are dismal. In the 2015 NAEP math scores, 17 percent of black fourth-graders and 11 percent of black eighth-graders performed at ‘proficient’ levels. In reading, 16 percent of black fourth-graders and 15 percent of black eighth-graders were ‘proficient.’” Minority-filled schools often take the brunt of the effect of our current education system whose structure creates poor results.
          However, according to the Cato Institute, “Our education system’s troubles are not confined to low-income districts — America’s students as a whole lag behind many other industrialized nations on international tests. Government expenditures on K-12 education have more than doubled over the last 40 years (adjusted for inflation), and yet U.S. students’ academic performance at the end of high school is flat. Top-down regulations intended to improve quality instead stifle diversity and innovation. And rather than foster harmony, too often government schools force citizens into social conflict.”
          This is a despicable return on investment. Making matters worse, the people who justify the status quo are demonizing Education Secretary Betsy DeVos for what Parker describes is her “brutally honest assessment about the state of education in our country.” At least the Heartland, where school choice is proliferating, is on DeVos’ side. Parkes adds, “Today, there are 63 different school choice programs across the nation involving 469,000 individuals, according to EdChoice. But total expenditures on school choice programs are still less the 0.4 percent of the $586.8 billion we spend annually on K-12 education.”
          If more of that money can be diverted to school choice efforts — where the results speak for themselves — the return on investment would be so remarkable that education in America as we know it would be completely upended. No wonder elitists are fighting so hard to maintain a system that breeds dependency.   ~The Patriot Post

It endangers former FBI Director Comey, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, current Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and the current FBI General Counsel Dana Boente who had previously served as the Acting Attorney General because these men and women had allegedly signed FISA applications that were at best misleading and at worst badly tainted. The Clinton campaign had enlisted figures in the FBI and the DOJ to manipulate an election. Since the end of his disastrous 2016 presidential run Jeb Bush hasn’t been getting much attention from the media. So there Bush was recently, criticizing Senator Marco Rubio... for his low profile in the immigration debate. Bush’s attack on Rubio for abandoning his 2013 stance in favor of a comprehensive reform package that would have provided a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants proved something conservatives have long known: To the mainstream media, bipartisanship means Republicans coming around to Democratic positions. But that still leaves us with the question of how to define leadership.  According to Bush, it should require Rubio to stick to his previous position even if the political landscape has been completely altered over the past five years. Displaying some of the rancor that still lingers from the 2016 race in which the two men effectively sabotaged each other’s chances of winning the Republican presidential nomination, Bush mocked Rubio: “God forbid you actually took on something that was controversial and paid a political price.”  That sounds good to critics of the Republicans who believe their stance against amnesty and demands for border security and the wall President Trump has demanded are inherently unreasonable. SOTU: WE Make America Great Again 

by Thomas Gallatin:  “Over the last year, we have made incredible progress and achieved extraordinary success,” President Donald Trump stated early in his State of the Union address last night. “We have faced challenges we expected, and others we never have imagined. We have shared in the heights of victory and the pains of hardship. We endured floods and fires and storms. But through it all, we have seen the beauty of America’s soul, and the steel in America’s spine.” The president maintained this unified theme throughout his speech, which was more impressive than his speech last year to Congress. He used the pronouns “we” 129 times and “our” 104 times, while referencing “I” only 29 times — that’s essentially the opposite of what Barack liar-nObama practiced — and the unifying optimism was palpable.

          Trump’s speech was also well received by the American public, with a CBS News poll showing an approval rating of 75% among viewers. However, congressional Democrats were clearly having none of it. While historically Republicans don’t stand and applaud statist policies and Democrats don’t stand and applaud free enterprise and individual liberty policies, generally both will stand and applaud clearly bipartisan issues such as good employment numbers and a growing economy. But it appears that Trump Derangement Syndrome has so infected congressional Democrats that it precludes them from even acknowledging objectively good news. They simply sat on their hands and pouted like little children who didn’t get their own way.
          Our Mark Alexander will have more analysis on Trump’s speech later, but a quick observation to note here. The contrast between Democrats and their extreme anti-Trump crusade versus Trump’s sensible, inclusive, positive and pro-America agenda is striking. One wonders if the non-stop rabid partisanship among Democrats and their Leftmedia sycophants — the relentless #Resist campaign against peace and prosperity — is wearing thin on average Americans, especially since Trump’s and Republicans’  accomplishments are proving to benefit the vast majority of the American working class. Trump’s America First realism versus the Democrats’ hard-leftist and globalist ideology may only drive working class Democrat voters toward Trump. Democrats, by being so blindly committed to resisting Trump, are unwittingly alienating what used to be their base. As Ronald Reagan did in the 1980s, Trump is successfully appealing to working-class Democrat voters whose party has left them behind to join him in making America great again. Washington, D.C. (January 11, 2018) Congressman Steve Pearce released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives voted on S. 139, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Amendments Reauthorization Act:

“National security agencies play an integral role in thwarting domestic and foreign threats to our homeland. It is essential to provide these government agencies with the tools they need to keep us safe, however, this cannot come at the expense of the Constitution. We need common-sense protections that uphold the rights and liberties of American’s, while safeguarding our freedoms from overbearing, unlawful government practices. I supported efforts to make simple changes to FISA that would not have limited the government’s ability to collect information necessary to protect our nation from foreign threats. Passing the FISA reauthorization today without the addition of necessary safeguards and warrant requirements does not find the balance our nations needs and deserves.”

In 1978, Congress enacted FISA to provide a statutory framework that governs how government agencies may gather foreign intelligence, obtain authorization to conduct electronic surveillance or physical searches, utilized trace devices, and other activities. Following the attack on September 11, 2001, Congress put the USA PATRIOT Act in place to enhance investigation tools that government agencies can use to achieve their mission of thwarting foreign threats. This act and subsequent acts amend FISA to broaden the government’s ability to obtain information about potential threats.

Rep. Pearce cosponsored an amendment called the USA Rights Act, which alters the FISA reauthorization bill to limit the scope of information that the government can collect on U.S. citizens without a warrant. This amendment ensures any information collected is in specific regards to a surveillance target. It continues to allow the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to use information collected under Section 702 as it relates to foreign threats, while prohibiting warrantless backdoor searches on American’s communications.

President Trump is expected to swiftly declassify a controversial memo on purported surveillance abuses. The release is likely to come Friday morning, Fox News is told.

The FBI and the DoJ are panicking, working furiously to obfuscate and confuse before the bombshell memo is released. The bottom line is that the underlying documents in the memo are FBI and DoJ docs. They are sweating because finally the American people are going to get a glimpse behind the curtain, and it’s a MOAB.

The Memo is underpinned by documentary evidence that the DoJ and the FBI have provided. The DOJ provided FISA documents and FBI investigative documents,. Good analysis on that here.

Hoisted on their petard, there is no Trump Russia scandal (Trump wasn’t even in politics prior to the ’16 election). But there are numerous Democrat scandals (not to mention the Clinton/Russia Uranium One pay-for-play crime) that we haven’t even touched upon ….. yet.

The best commentary I have seen on this is from the Wall Street Journal columnist and former George W. Bush speechwriter Bill McGurn. He said the FBI is using the Col. Jessup argument from A Few Good Men with the FISA memo, they believe the American people “can’t handle the truth.”

“The FBI is accountable to we the people, the Congress, not the other way around,” McGurn said on Wednesday’s Special Report panel.

WILLIAM McGURN, WALL STREET JOURNAL: I think the FBI’s argument is ridiculous. For one thing, they’ve shifted the argument. They used to say it was sources and methods. Now they’re saying basically that it would be material embarrassing to us. This is the Col. Jessup argument from A Few Good Men. The American people can’t handle the truth. I think people need to see.

We have two big questions over all of this: did Donald Trump collude with the Russians to steal the election in 2016 and did the FBI and DOJ put their fingers on the scale? Now, remember this is also Christopher Wray, in his testimony for confirmation, spoke about how he couldn’t give Congress information because it was classified. This gets us backward. The FBI is accountable to we the people, the Congress, not the other way around

White House ‘to release’ secret memo on FBI

A Republican-drafted memo alleging FBI bias against US President Donald Trump will be released on Friday, a senior White House official says.

Mr Trump is expected to declassify the document and send it to Congress for release, according to US media.

The FBI has voiced “grave concerns” about the release of the memo, which is expected to have redactions.

It reportedly says the FBI misled an intelligence court to obtain a warrant to spy on the Trump election campaign.

Democrats say the memo is a ruse to discredit a federal inquiry into links between President Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia.

The four-page document was compiled by staffers for House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes, a member of Mr Trump’s Republican party.

Everyone agrees Sarah Huckabee Sander’s job as President Donald Trump’s press secretary is a difficult one, and maybe one of the most stressful in his administration. She has been a warrior, taking on a group of Trump-hating journalists who have one goal; namely, to report fake news and help the Democrats try to destroy Trump.

One of the worst, CNN’s Jim Acosta, is a buffoon. Trump said to his face, “You’re really fake news, in fact, I’m changing the name to very, very fake news.” Acosta has been a whiny baby ever since, and his Twitter feed reads like an employee of the Democratic National Committee.

Sarah Sanders has had numerous “run-ins” with the fake news hack during press conferences, but now, we find out she blasted him right before the president came out to sign an important bill.

Twitchy reports, “Sarah Sanders was very clear on the intent of this bill signing, and that it was not a presser, however, Jim Acosta decided to be a big baby and make a spectacle of himself anyway.”

Acosta didn’t like Sanders telling him to shut his trap and how the bill signing was not for reporters to ask questions. He told the press secretary that he would ask questions if he wanted to, which is not the “proper etiquette” for reporters assigned to the White House, and Acosta knows it. So does Sanders, and she is fed-up with Acosta and his bullying tactics.

As Trump was leaving the bill signing, Acosta shouted out a question about Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who the president had excoriated in a tweet which said, “Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office ‘begging’ for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!”

So, Sarah stood up for herself, and poor whiny Acosta tweeted out the major slap down he gave her, writing, “Prior to this moment [sic], @presssec issued a warning to me. She said if I asked a question of Trump at the bill signing ‘I can’t promise you will be allowed into a pool spray again.’ Sorry Sarah.. we won’t be intimidated.”

Well, sorry for Jimmy, but Trump’s press secretary has all the power over the CNN hack. If Sarah Sanders decides to oust Acosta from the White House pressers, and she can, it would be utterly devastating to his career. So, yes, he is a fool by saying “we won’t be intimidated.” Anyone with half a brain should be intimidated since having a coveted seat at the White House pressers is the golden ticket for a political journalist.

“We get it, Jim. You don’t like some woman telling you what to do, but at this point, it’s painfully clear that it’s time to let it go and stop with the theatrics and drama. And you know if they do indeed ban Acosta from the press pool he’ll b*tch and moan and moan and b*tch about it for weeks (months) on end and play the media martyr he so desperately wants to be,” added Twitchy.

Sanders will expel Acosta and ban him from White House press conferences. Whether CNN retains that coveted seat is the only question.  If they do keep the seat they will replace Acosta with another one of their hacks who hates Trump.

Whether he is ousted immediately or within the next few weeks is anyone’s guess, but he knows full well there are rules. Sarah Sanders is not someone who strikes me as not backing up her word. I believe she will make good on her “promise” to Acosta.

This isn’t “censorship” either. Acosta is everything that is wrong with the media today. If he wants to play politics, then he should style himself as a “pundit,” someone who is giving opinions on the news. Instead, like so many others, he claims to be an unbiased reporter.

Jim Acosta has been one of the worst reporters, called out by the president himself. He may have won that “battle” by shouting his lame question but make no mistake, Sarah Huckabee Sanders will win the war, and Jim can kiss his career goodbye.

{ townhall.com } ~ The perky little Chickadee with a black cap and deformed beak that I’d been trying to keep alive died a few days ago, the same day the 7.9 magnitude earthquake jolted me and fellow Alaskans out of bed.

I knew it was only a matter of time.

It mattered not that I’d been doing everything possible to accommodate the cute little guy’s needs by pulverizing nuts and seeds to make it easier for him to swoop up and swallow food with his crossed-sickle beak.

Even without deformities, it’s tough for these birds, indigenous to Alaska, to survive the long and cold winters with daylight in short supply and 18-hour nights. They must eat constantly during daylight hours to regain the 10 percent body weight they burn each night staying warm.

The poor little guy died as a result of chain migration when a couple of opportunistic migratory birds called Redpolls visited our feeders and came back with their extended family. Hundreds of them. 

Unlike Chickadees, Redpolls refuse to assimilate. Rather than sharing feeders by politely grabbing seeds and eating them elsewhere, Redpolls swarm, attack and overtake feeders, gorging themselves until the food is gone. And the next day the cycle repeats itself.

It is impossible for them to coexist. The more feeding stations I set up, the more they gorge, taking from the birds that belong here and draining my birdseed budget.

These incorrigible birds have no interest in assimilating and contribute nothing to the rest. I have absolutely no control, though, because they have wings, and the skies they navigate, no borders.

This reminds me of the current debate happening over immigration. House Minority Leader Nancy Pulosi (D-Calif) said in a statement she released January 26 that President Trump’s immigration reform framework is “cruel” and part of an “unmistakable campaign to make America white again.”

Besides being toxic and divisive, Pulosi’s statement is downright ignorant. While I personally disagree with Trump’s proposition to offer a pathway to citizenship for those here illegally, his proposal has nothing to do with skin color.

Discontinuing the ridiculous Visa Lottery Program, which invites people from countries all over the world, including those with known terrorist problems, is a no-brainer. Likewise, building a border wall and ending the preposterous chain migration program is necessary for our country’s survival. 

According to Conservative Review’s Daniel Horowitz, “Overall, 97 percent of the four million individuals on the visa waiting list are chain migrants whose sole claim to an immigrant visa is family ties.” He reports in December 2017 alone, a beneficiary of chain migration targeted Harrisburg, Pennsylvania police in a series of shootings. On the same day as that terrorist attack, another chain migration recipient was sentenced in a Harrisburg federal court for material support to ISIS while a female Pakistani here on an F43 visa was charged with laundering Bitcoin to raise money for ISIS.

Unless Immigration is fixed it will only get worse. Case in point:  Europe’s migration crisis, an ill-advised goodwill gesture that invited a sudden eruption of non-assimilating refugees that essentially upended the lives of citizens, drained resources and generally wreaked havoc on the local population.

Americans are generous, but like me, they have their limits. If Redpolls had the desire to get along with all the other birds, there’s little I would not sacrifice to accommodate them. Lord knows I’ve tried. Similarly, our country has always welcomed legal immigrants to share in our national wealth and opportunity. But, it requires a willingness on everyone’s part to live up to our nation’s motto, “E Pluribus Unum,” out of many, one.
