Last year when Tea Party Express rolled into Elko, NV, Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Church had 15 children. Yesterday, the Church family showed up at our tea party rally with mom holding number 16. I really like these people folks. Their kids are well behaved, upbeat and bright.

I asked momma Church the secret to having such an obviously happy family. Mrs. Church said, “We teach our kids they are a blessing to each other”.

The Church family is the kind of salt of the earth good people I have met on all of my five Tea Party Express tours around America. They are not the angry white racist mobs reported in the Obama media.

We did a rally in Salt Lake City, UT and spent the night.

This morning at 5:45am, CNN sent a car to bring me to a studio for a 6:30am TV interview. Yesterday, a producer called me for a “pre-interview interview”. I wanted to take this opportunity of being on CNN to defend the tea party against the left's despicable false charges of racism.

The program producer said they would prefer to discuss my thoughts regarding the Republican presidential field; which candidates are not tea party enough for me. I sensed the producer was baiting me to beat up on Republicans and stay away from the topic of race.

On the TV program, the CNN host had an agenda to trash, minimize the effect and demoralize the Tea Party. I refused to allow her to get away with it.

To the CNN host's displeasure, I even defended the tea party against the false accusations of racism. Arrogantly, the left are relentless in their efforts to portray the tea party as racist and get extremely annoyed when we counter their accusations with the truth.

After my CNN interview, I was back on the Tea Party Express bus for a six hour ride to our next rally in Cheyenne, WY.

Our team includes Gold Star Mom, Debbie Lee. Her son, Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy Seal killed in Iraq. In honor of her decorated son, Debbie founded, AmericasMightyWarriors.org which benefits the families of fallen soldiers.

As we crossed great plains canopied by spacious skies, Debbie asked if I had ever seen a jac-ca-lope which looks like a cross between a jack rabbit and an antelope. I am a city boy originally from Baltimore. So, I was excited about seeing this animal indigenous to the plains.

I parked myself at the front of the bus along side our bus driver hoping to see a jac-ca-lope. After about an hour, my wife Mary joined me. I told her why I was filled with anticipation visually scanning the massive countryside.

Mary said, “There is no such thing as a jac-ca-lope”.

Then, I heard Debbie Lee laughing. I know the Bible speaks against revenge. But, I am planning my perfect opportunity to pay back Debbie Lee.

Former Department of Justice officials are calling for an investigation into current hiring practices, which they say have become politicized under Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama administration.

Pajamas Media conducted an analysis of the resumes of hired individuals in five Civil Rights Division sections. The conservative media outfit was only able to obtain the documents after filing a federal lawsuit in response to DOJ’s 10-month delay in responding to a Freedom of Information Act request.

Based on their investigation, the researchers found that every single new hire — 70 in all — boasted far-left résumés. They found no conservative or apolitical new hires in the Voting Section (16 hires), the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment... (5 hires), the Special Litigation Section (23 hires), the Education Section (11 hires), or the Employment Section (15 hires).

“The Department’s political leadership clearly recognized that the resumes of these new attorneys would expose the hypocrisy of the Obama administration’s polemical attacks on the Bush administration for supposedly engaging in ‘politicized hiring’ — and that everyone would see just how militantly partisan the Obama Civil Rights Division truly is,” wrote former Justice official and Pajamas Media investigator Hans von Spakovsky, explaining why the Department stonewalled FOIA requests for nearly a year.

When confronted with Pajamas Media’s findings, the Justice Department did not acknowledge the ideological discrepancy or the fact that the Pajamas Media had to sue in order to obtain the documents, but instead reiterated its commitment to transparency and that political ideology is not a factor in hiring.

“This administration’s Civil Rights Division has restored the career-driven, transparent hiring process that has resulted in hiring the most qualified attorneys for the job, including attorneys with civil rights experience,” Justice spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa told The Daily Caller. “Actual or perceived political affiliation is not a factor in the Division’s career hiring process.”

“The quality of our new hires, coupled with the our longstanding and dedicated career staff, is reflected in the Division’s robust record of accomplishment,” Hinojosa added. “For example, in Fiscal Year 2010, the Division prosecuted a record number of criminal cases (125), topping the previous record set in Fiscal Year 2009; in addition, the Division has reached the largest monetary settlements ever secured by the Department in both a fair lending case and in a case under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.”

Former Justice Department official and study co-author J. Christian Adams took issue with the Department’s response.

“It is dishonest to say they hired people with civil rights experience. First, the experience often had nothing to do with the topics they handle at DOJ,” Adams told TheDC. “Most never saw the inside of a courtroom at these internships or time with these left wing groups. Second, work with these left wing groups served as an ideological admission ticket based on what I know [Civil Rights Division chief] Loretta King did in hiring committee meetings. Non-leftists need not apply.”

“Hopefully the DOJ inspector General will be as unkind to her as they were to Bush DOJ officials,” he added, referring to a Bush-era scandal in which the Justice Department came under fire for turning away applicants with far-left résumés.

Spakovsky told TheDC that the reason DOJ representatives’ responses were so vague is because they cannot answer the question.

“They completely avoid answering any of the issues we raised and I think that shows they are unable to do so. The résumés speak for themselves and they show the hiring bias that has been implemented in the division in the last three years,” Spakovsky said.

He added that it will be up to Congress, the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) and the Office of Inspector General (OIG) to get to the bottom of the matter.

“[They] need to do the same identical type of investigation they did of the Bush Administration,” he said. “If they don’t do that, it will be evidence of the partisan bias in OPR and OIG, because how can they justify doing an investigation when these issues were raised during the Bush administration, and not conduct the same type of investigation now when the resumes speak for themselves?”

During the Bush administration’s run-in with similar charges, a great deal of media attention was devoted to the charge of political hiring. Little ink, however, has been devoted to Pajamas Media’ findings. Former Bush Justice Department official Robert Driscoll explained to TheDC that the discrepancy is likely due to a larger failure of understanding about the purpose of the Civil Rights Division.

“It’s depressing, but the story gets no traction because everyone who doesn’t follow the issue closely presumes that, of course its [okay] to hire agenda driven civil rights lawyers because that is what civil rights is about,” Driscoll wrote in an email. “There is no understanding (by most) that you would want non-activists in those jobs. It’s ridiculous, that no one cares, but there you have it.”

CBS Radio Detroit has chosen to portray 9/11 as an attack on Muslims across America, and now the propaganda “ads” for this absurdity have lost a sponsor, Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers, because I called and asked around about the ad in preparation for this article.  This is the same CBS Detroit, which is about to launch a “conservative” talk radio station (with a known liberal as its morning host).  They apparently think conservatives are a gullible bunch.  And maybe they are.  Time and the ratings will tell.

Memo for CBS Radio Detroit’s Deb Kenyon: Muslims Were the PERPETRATORS of 9/11, NOT the “Victims;” Stop Broadcasting Propaganda & Lies Disguised as “Public Service Announcements”

For the last several days, all CBS radio stations in Detroit  (including the highly rated WWJ-950 AM) have been running a “public service announcement,” which says Muslims are “the real victims” of the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks on America, not the 3,000 Americans murdered BY Muslims.  The ad says it is sponsored by Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers and urges listeners to come to local Chevy Dealerships to get a “lantern” to light on 9/11 to honor the Muslim victims.  In the ad, an unidentified Muslim woman tells us how Muslim religious schools around the country have to be repeatedly evacuated because of bomb threats and how Muslims constantly live in fear of Americans.

The ad is a lie.  In fact, Muslim schools were not repeatedly evacuated because of bomb threats and Muslims do not live in fear.  Reality Check: report after report notes that Muslim Schools in America are where hate is taught, where perpetrators are created, NOT victims. There hasn’t been the backlash they claim, and instead, we’ve bent over backward for Muslims.  The Bush administration set up a special division of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Office, just to go after Americans who allegedly commit “hate crimes” against Muslims, and it has prosecuted Americans for merely exercising free speech rights.  And we’ve increased Muslim immigration significantly.

Today, I contacted both CBS Radio Detroit and Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers, who confirmed that CBS Radio created a public service announcement to remember the victims of 9/11.  But none of the Chevy Dealers, including their advertising agent, had ever heard the ad, which was created by CBS Radio Detroit group chief, Deb Kenyon to honor a current Detroit Muslim employee she declined to name, as a victim of 9/11.  Chevy dealers I spoke with were entirely unaware of the ad and flabbergasted that their dealerships were associated with this outrageous ad (except dealer Mike Savoie, a wimp who refused to comment–might upset his Muslim clients?).  They wanted people to come to their dealerships to remember the 3,000 Americans who were murdered.  After a long discussion in which she initially told me that “everyone is entitled to their opinion in America” in the public service announcement, Barb Mozer, of Mozer Media, which places ads for Metro Chevy Dealers, told me, this afternoon, that the Chevy Dealers would be pulling the ad.

But the ad might continue anyway, because CBS Radio Detroit chief Kenyon–who, again, is creating a new conservative talk radio station–personally created the disgusting ad with a Muslim employee and she’s very “proud” of it.    Check out this e-mail discussion I had with Kenyon and let her know, if you live in Detroit, whether this will endear you to her new “conservative” talk station:

I’m writing to ask about the very offensive “Muslims were the real victims of 9/11″ PSAs that are running throughout the Detroit CBS radio group. As you know or should know, the ad features the voice of an alleged Muslim woman claiming that Muslims are the real victims of 9/11 because allegedly, Islamic school were evacuated repeatedly since 9/11 (something that isn’t documented anywhere as the ad admits because it just didn’t happen), and because Muslims “have been forced to live in fear” ever since. The ad then asks people to go to metro Detroit Chevy dealers and ask for a peace lantern to light up on 9/11. The ad is outrageous, and if I had a show on your station, I would run this ad and then rant and rave about it to your listeners.

I understand from your WWJ Sales manager, Bruce Stoller, who has not heard the ads, and from other officials I spoke to today at WWJ, that this highly disturbing ad was your idea, and that you wanted to do this to “reach out to the victims of 9/11 ten years later.” HUH? Deb, 3,000 AMERICANS–not Muslims–were murdered because they are Americans. 19 MUSLIMS were the PERPETRATORS. This is how you reach out to victims??? PUH-LEEZE. Bruce Stoller said that you not only dreamed up the ad and the idea of the lanterns, but that you approached the Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers to sponsor the ad. What were you thinking? I’m now going to write about this and urge people to boycott the Chevy dealers over this, so you just hurt your advertiser by pulling them into disgusting political correctness.

Why did you do this, Deb? Is it the position of CBS radio that Muslims are the real victims of 9/11? If not, why the heck are you running this ad? Why did you approach advertisers and get them in on this absurd, liberal, PC message? And yet you are running a “conservative” radio station? Hilarious. You must think conservative listeners are very gullible.

Even if there were others (and there aren’t–this one ran frequently), would we let Nazis cut spots about the 10th anniversary of World War II? Apparently, CBS Radio Detroit boss Deb Kenyon would. (She copied Dom Theodore, a consultant to Glenn Beck, and the program director of the new “conservative” talk radio, on her response. He’s the one who picked a liberal to host the only local show on the station, the morning show.)

Of course, Kenyon did not respond, nor would she name the employee or any Detroit Muslim school allegedly “repeatedly evacuated because of bomb threats after 9/11.” It never happened.

BTW, I don’t believe we’re getting the full story here. One of CBS Radio Detroit’s biggest advertisers is Yahya Basha, a Syrian Muslim doctor who does breast exams and who has been cited by the FDA in a warning letter. (Get your breasts checked there at your own risk . . . if you’re a moron.) He was on the board of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and headed the American Muslim Council until it was shut down by the federal government for fundraising for HAMAS and for its executive director’s planned murder plot on then-Saudi Crown Prince Abdulllah, after being paid to do the job by Muammar Qaddafi. Basha recently settled a lawsuit after he fired his General Counsel after he learned that she was married, had children, and was a Jew. Basha (who is a Republican and who frequently met with President Bush) is an extremist and he pays CBS Radio Detroit big bucks. Cha-ching!

The six commissioners of the Federal Election Commission are being tasked with a Constitutional question: Can a foreign-born citizen run for President of the United States?

The Constitution strictly forbids anyone but a “natural-born citizen” from becoming president, but it does not restrict candidacy. Now, the FEC won’t either.

Guyana-born New York attorney Abdul Hassan would like to file papers, take campaign contributions, and collect federal matching funds for his candidacy. Two draft advisory opinions from the FEC may let him do just that – even though he can never be sworn into that office.

Hassan had posed four questions to the commission.

1) As a naturalized American citizen, will Mr. Hassan be considered a “candidate ” or “person ” running for President under the Act?

2) As a naturalized American citizen, is Mr. Hassan eligible to receive presidential matching funds under the Presidential Primary Matching Payment Account Act?

3) As a naturalized American citizen, will Mr. Hassan violate 2 U.S.C. 44Ih(b) if he solicits and receives contributions for his presidential campaign?

4) Is Mr. Hassan required to comply with the Act’s provisions regarding expenditures, contributions, record keeping, and reporting?

The opinions state that he can be a candidate, can collect campaign contributions and would be required to disclose his campaign finances to the commission. The difference between the two opinions is the question of whether or not he may receive federal matching funds for his campaign. Draft A forbids him from collecting the matching money and Draft B sidesteps the question as “hypothetical”.

Why Hassan is pressing this issue, with full knowledge that he will not win the election and even if he did, could not be president is not immediately clear. It could be the slippery-slope approach that liberals take when attempting to erode the power of the Constitution. Before long, the FEC may be questioning the definition of “natural-born” or “citizen”. It would only take a single challenge to his candidacy to open a legal case that would ultimately end up in the Supreme Court.

The Constitution does not define “natural-born citizen”. That term is defined in section 8 of the United States Code of  Laws. This challenge could open up the question of whether the U.S. code is an accurate or Constitutionally-acceptable definition. Semantics are the tool of the left and they may be at work to change the application of a fundamental clause in the U.S. Constitution.

This is not the first attempt to circumvent the natural-born citizen requirement to be president. More than 20 amendments to the Constitution have been proposed to change the requirement. Perhaps the most famous being one that was intended to allow Henry Kissinger to serve as President.

The FEC could vote on the opinions as early as Thursday and for either opinion to be accepted, four of the six commissioners must agree.

Public comments must be submitted by Noon on Wednesday August 31st, 2011. Those wishing to comment on the Draft A or Draft B of the Draft Advisory Opinion 2011-15 should follow these directions:

1. Comments must be in writing, and they must be both legible and complete.
2. Comments must be submitted to the Office of the Commission Secretary by hand delivery or fax (202) 208-3333, with a duplicate copy submitted to the Office of General Counsel by hand delivery or fax (202) 219-3923.
3. Comments must be received by noon (Eastem Time) on August 31,2011.
4. The Commission will generally not accept comments received after the deadline. Requests to extend the comment period are discouraged and unwelcome. An extension request will be considered only if received before the comment deadline and then only on a case-by-case basis in special circumstances.
5. All timely received comments will be made available to the public at the Commission’s Public Records Office and will be posted on the Commission’s website at http://saos.mctusa.com/saos/searchao

The Fellowship of the Right-Wing

Barak Obama may indeed be the Messiah.  He has certainly worked a political miracle in the last  2 years that has astounded many Americans. He has worked a healing miracle as the myriad bone cells that make the skeletal tissue of America, fractured and splintered, have knit themselves together. The breaks have been replaced by tissue that is not only healed, but stronger than before. The coalescing of The Fellowship of the Right Wing is a miracle because the nature of the conservative individual is stubbornly independent.

The Tea Party, The Conservative Patriot Resistance, The Red Stampede, the Resurgent Right, whatever you want to call it, is the ideological combination of disparate thinking, lifestyles, regionalisms, religions, and talents. Conservatives have never been followers of charismatic individuals. But we are followers of the heady principles of Liberty and of Constitutional government. Most of us will freely follow God, but we bristle when we are asked to follow a man. We question and vet, and we may treat a leader "pretty ugly"  if he is hypocritical or destructive. We reject the self-serving and duplicitous who wear the Conservative label on their sleeves, who follow some lesser star such as power or notoriety.  We trust only leaders who follow the highest, Divine Authority. We are headstrong, self-governing, free-thinking and we have contempt for government interference and the fawning sycophants who worship the god of the state.

The Fellowship of the Right Wing has come together, thanks to the great physician, (oops, I just puked a little in my mouth) Barak Obama. Conservative activist groups, PACs, think-tanks, blogs and news outlets, social networks, community and neighborhood liberty groups, and the new conservative political class has inundated the American scene.  I am chin-deep in the activities of the Right Wing, and I can tell you that my 'friends', 'followers', fellow activists, conservatives, Republicans, bloggers, campaign workers, and ideological soul mates are the cream that has risen to the top of political activity. Secure, educated, actualized and accomplished men and women who have a deep love of America, a love of the truth, and an appetite for freedom are enmeshed, cells in a protective tissue, healing and growing, that will cover the deep wounds of a brutalized nation.

Barak Obama has assaulted the nation with his socialist policies and inept handling of military, social, and economic challenges. But he is just one face on a many-headed dragon. He is a failure, the worst president in American history. But he, like an infection or an injury, has signaled the healing cells within the healthy body of America to rally to attack their invaders; all the social and political diseases that define the Left.

Yeah, this is not just synapse soup, but metaphor soup as well.

Mary and I left our home in Central Florida at 5am. We flew/traveled 12 hours to hook up with the Tea Party Express bus in Oakland, CA. After a quick shower and wardrobe change, we arrived in Napa, CA where I performed at the tour launching fund raising VIP gala.

Still on east coast time, I awoke at 5:30am for our 11am Napa Tea Party. Napa is absolutely beautiful. I do not drink. But, my wife Mary throughly enjoyed sampling the local wines.

One such patriot I met today at our Napa rally is author, Robin Bohr. Robin's husband Mike got tired of her yelling at the TV. He suggested Robin write a book.

Robin penned, “Tea Party: American Revolution 2.0”. It is the compelling history of average Americans entering the political arena for the first time.

After Napa, we traveled three hours to do our rally in Sparks, Nevada. Then, we traveled three hours to Winnemucca, NV where we spent the night.

Our bodies still not totally on west coast time yet, we are on the bus headed to Elko, NV, our first rally of two today. Our second rally is in Salt Lake City, UT, four hours away. The mountains and spacious skies are breathtaking. I think I will sing, “America the Beautiful” at our Elko rally.

Please, please, please understand, as we said in the 60s, “where I'm coming from”. This article is NOT about bashing homosexuals. I have homosexual family and friends whom I love very much.

However, I found David Gregory's attack on Michele Bachmann for comments she made regarding homosexuality to be extremely disturbing and offensive. Bachmann is a Christian and simply compassionately espoused the biblical point of view.

Just as Muslims live by the Quran, Christians strive to live by the Bible. Here are a few Bible quotes about homosexuality.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act;...”

Rom. 1:26-27, "...for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, ²⁷and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts...”

Whether you agree with the Bible or not is irrelevant. My point is Bachmann did not “make up” her take on homosexuality. It came from a holy book considered sacred by mega millions worldwide.

So, when Gregory beat up on Bachmann, he was really attacking Christians and the Bible. But, most disturbing was Gregory's arrogant bullying and implicit threat to all who disagree.

In effect, he announced: We, the media, have declared homosexuality normal; period, end of subject. Anyone of you Neanderthals daring to suggest otherwise will suffer the consequences.

Would Gregory have been so aggressive interviewing a Muslim presidential candidate about their beliefs? I suspect not.

Most Americans accept homosexuals and are repulsed by anyone abusing them. However, America's acceptance of homosexuals is not good enough for the left. The left wish to bend our arms behind our backs until we cry “uncle”, proclaiming homosexuality to be normal.

Even home improvement and cooking TV programs feature a high number of homosexual couples disproportionate to the population. Clearly, many TV producers have an agenda to normalize the homosexual lifestyle.

My dad has been in Christian ministry as a pastor for 50 years. Dad said he is being pressured to embrace the Gospel of Homosexuality. He added, “Those of us who disagree are being pushed into the closet.”

Has the left won? Are we afraid to quote the Bible's rebuke of homosexuality?

Think about this folks. According to the left, if you disapprove of men sodomizing each other and women performing cunnilingus on each other, not only are you a “hater”, you are deemed mentally ill; diagnosed as homophobic and in need of treatment.

During his Bachmann interview, Gregory kept referring to homosexuals as “Gay Americans” in an attempt to make disapproval of a “sexual behavior” the same as discriminating against an ethnic group; African, Hispanic and other Americans. The left reinforces the theme, calling opposition to the homosexual agenda “bigotry”.

Black Civil Rights groups are offended by the left comparing their struggle to that of homosexuals.

I state again, “I have homosexual family and friends whom I love very much.” However, loving them does not mean I must submit to dictatorial pressure from the media to embrace the homosexual lifestyle as being normal.

To get their way, the left always distorts the discord, portraying all opposition to equal the extreme evil.

For example. Americans welcome “legal” immigrants with open arms. We oppose “illegal” immigration and all the crime and stress on our welfare system which comes with it. The left brands anyone seeking to protect our borders extremist, anti-immigration and racist.

If you believe elementary kids should not be forced to celebrate Gay Pride Day and not be encouraged to experiment with homosexuality, the left numbers you among the minority of nut cases seeking to harm homosexuals.

Regardless of the issue, the left via their liberal media enforcers, slanders the opposition, painting them to be haters and extremists. Former Obama supporters turned off by his unfolding socialistic agenda are suddenly, “redneck racists against a black president”.

Patriots, I realize all of you are not Christians and my purpose is not to force my faith on anyone. This article is not about whether homosexuality is right or wrong. It is about the liberal media throwing down the gauntlet saying, “Hey, you Christians had better get with the program regarding the normalcy of homosexuality, or else!”

The liberal media usurping ultimate authority to enforce their “ultimate consensus” on an issue, destroying anyone who dares think otherwise, is a serious assault on our freedom.

      I believe another way to cut costs in the budget without truly hurting the wrong people is to go after the right people.  Illegal immigrants are a massive drain on many institutions in this country.  Healthcare, education, our courts and prisons, housing, jobs and many more that probably could be named all suffer due to the lack of enforcement of our immigration laws by our politicians.  Allowing lawbreakers access to what law-abiding citizens pay into with their hard-earned money is simply just wrong.  When you allow this to happen, it's no wonder why this country is going bankrupt.  You cannot continue to take out more than what you put in. Before you know it, you are basically robbing Peter to pay Paul and sooner or later, the well will run dry.  

      One way to work towards solving this problem is stop offering incentives for people to enter the country illegally.  Anyone who is not a legal citizen of this country should not be allowed ANY benefits whatsoever: no free money, no free or subsidized housing or healthcare, no free education, no Medicare or Social Security.  NOTHING AT ALL.  There is something wrong with this picture when people who don't basically pay into the system get to receive benefits from this same system.

      Another thing, no more anchor babies.   If you come here illegally, it's not our fault you have a child so don't expect us to pay for it in any way.  No free benefits at all.  Sorry. It may sound hateful but there is nothing hateful about wanting to be able to support all the poor people and children that we already have in our country who by the way are legal Americans.  When illegals drain the limited resources that we have in place, soon those citizens who legitimately need the help can not receive it.  I know too many people who need the help yet can't receive anything.  Of course, i don't only blame this on illegals, because I know that there are many Americans who abuse these systems in place to help those in need.  Root out fraud, corruption and waste and that will also go a long way into helping us save possibly billions of dollars alone per year.

I believe that many of our problems today that arise from our monetary woes in this country, if tied in together, could go a long way into helping us resolve these woes.  For instance, rather than cutting programs like Welfare, Medicare, Social Security, Veterans benefits, etc., if only we went after all the corruption, fraud and waste in these programs, these efforts would go a long way in saving probably  millions, if not billions of dollars being thrown away.  Simply by cutting funding to these programs, it is only those that truly need them who will be hurt.  Those who don't will still be reaping what they don't need or deserve.
