- In 1975 the United States had by far the highest private home ownership in the world with 64%. Besides newcomers to the workforce, college students, the young and the scarcely-educated, virtually every American with gumption could own** their own home after a few years of renting.
2. In 1975 the “suspect” home loan rate stood at roughly 0.24% or only about one in every 404 loans. Before 1977, the usual and customary down payment had long been 20%. These suspect loans granted at 3% down payment or less were not only exceedingly rare, they were typically granted to veterans with jobs and great credit working their way through college under the GI Bill.
- In 1985 the suspect home loan rate had risen to roughly 0.51% or about one in every 196 home loans. Something small had changed . . . . What?
- In 1995 the suspect home loan rate was roughly 14% or about one in every seven home loans. Something big had changed . . . . What?
- By 2005, just two years before the financial meltdown, about the time of widespread PUBLIC realization that sub-prime home loans were causing huge problems: the suspect home loan rate was roughly 34% or more than one in every three home loans. Something enormous had changed . . . . What?
- Between item #2 and item #3 above, in 1977 two things had changed. The Community Reinvestment Act was passed in 1977 (CRA ’77) by the Carter administration and Democrat’s House and Senate. For the first time in history home loan lenders were forced to knowingly make bad loans to unqualified would-be home buyers.
- Wade Rathke, a lieutenant of George Wiley, (more on this later) in 1977 with the passing of CRA ’77 created the Arkansas Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) which was a “test organization” (more on this later) with two commandments from Wiley, Richard Cloward, and his wife Frances Piven (more on all of them later) in 1975, following up on this TRIO’s expressed desiderata for their followers to expand their endeavors (more on this later) into 1. Voter registration and 2. Home lending. Arkansas was chosen because of the existence in that small state of an up-and-coming young politician (the lieutenant governor elected in 1976, Bill Clinton) and his wife were very compatible with the TRIO’s politics.
- Between item #3 and item #4 above, in 1977 six major things had changed. ACORN had been approved of and expanded to all 50 states. The ACORN acronym had been switched to a new meaning: Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Voter registration activities which had elected their candidate in Arkansas were now expanded to the entire country; and their overload-the-CRA ’77-law campaign that had already doubled the suspect loan rate of the whole nation just by their efforts in Arkansas was likewise a nation-wide campaign.
- Bill Clinton, the ACORN candidate, had been elected governor of Arkansas for 12 of the next 14 years.
- Clinton had become the ACORN president in 1992.
- President George H. W. Bush who prevailed on 45 of his 46 vetoes did not veto a big bill he was largely in favor of. His veto was needed for a small part of that bill which added in an expansion of CRA ’77 to federal mortgage agencies Freddy Mac and Fanny Mae.
- President Clinton used his Presidential powers to expand CRA ’77 in 1993 by huge regulatory fiat.
- President Clinton out-maneuvered the Republican Congress and got CRA law expanded twice during 1995. By the way, President Barack Obama was an ACORN lawyer for two years before and after this time, browbeating home mortgage companies and banks into making knowingly unwise loans to undeserving unqualified home loan applicants. He was known for also getting ACORN contributions simultaneously.
- Between items #4 and #5 only one major change took place in CRA ’77 but it was huge! Bill Clinton was now popular again and he was able to get a steroid version^^ of CRA ’77 passed in 1998.
- The changes after the CRA steroid version was passed in 1998 were no longer just quantitative but hugely QUALITATIVE as well. To wit:

- It became easier for ACORN to push for $440,000 homes after 2000 then it had been to seek $110,000 homes in 1990.
- Not having a job; having only food stamps to declare as “income” and having horrific credit ratings were no longer a problem in buying very expensive homes.
- Across the Southwestern United States even illegal aliens were able to get CRA-guaranteed treatment from ACORN.
- Many of these CRA loans were now being made to EVEN LESS qualified loan applicants than before. A large percentage of these loans were now granted at 0% down payment.
- To repeat, by 2005, suspect home loans had risen to 34% of all home loans.
- In November, 2003 James Stack of Investech.com began running a chart of the Housing Industry Bubble in stocks within the home-building and financial industry and discussing the danger to the economy from the sub-prime lending crisis. The Stack Housing Industry Bubble showed a 1400% increase. Housing prices had been booming for well over a decade.
- By early January, 2005 (less than 14 months later), the Bush administration had become seriously concerned about this problem. Their bill to repeal virtually all the most dangerous provisions of CRA legislation was defeated by Congressional Democrats.
- Bush would make a total of 19 speeches about the sub-prime lending process and seek to change CRA legislation for the next 30 months. Finally, in July, 2007 a full two years and a half after the Bush administration had begun trying to change CRA law, a very weak bi-partisan bill was passed by the Congress.
- That new law would prove to be way too little, way too late . . . but it would definitely help avoid much of the worst potential consequences of the sub-prime lending crisis. While the Obama administration was passing on the lie about Bush, conservatives, and the free market causing the financial meltdown (“driving the car into the ditch”), one honest and thinking man within the administration, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner recognized the truth and spoke it. In mid-2010, Geithner praised Bush for his efforts and eventual success in passing the July, 2007, anti-CRA law. Geithner said that Bush’s actions prevented a decline into a much worse recession and especially for an all-out plummeting of home prices.
- As mentioned the new law helped but proved too little, too late to turn things totally around . . . and the financial meltdown hit us hard.
- On at least 206 occasions, President Obama has used the “car (economy) in the ditch” metaphor implying that he and the Democrats and especially the Progressives within both parties had nothing to do with the problem. This is a lie. For 34+ years the Progressive laws have violated the free markets and forced low-down payment and no-down payment loans which must be granted to totally Undeserving and Unqualified home loan applicants.

A. Following the “War on Poverty” and “Great Society” initiatives of the Lyndon Johnson administration, in mid-1966, Richard Cloward and Frances Piven, two neo-Marxist sociology professors from New York’s Columbia University who admitted being inspired by the Watts Riots and the writings of Saul Alinsky, published an article in The Nation magazine entitled The Weight of the Poor: a Strategy for Ending Poverty. The article suggested that by “overloading” the nation’s newly expanded welfare system and using poor citizens as storm troopers . . . a financial crisis could be brought about forcing the then-dominant Democratic party to see that a GNI (Guaranteed National Income) law be passed and thus POOF! In one fell swoop ending poverty. This “overload the system and create orchestrated chaos” plan has been much discussed by the left-wing and become known as “Cloward-Piven Strategy” or “C-P Strategy.” The suggested Saul Alinsky tactics within this strategy included “street theater" demonstrations and “making them live up to their playbook.”
B. In 1967 Cloward and Piven and a Black militant Marxist, George Wiley, created the NWRO (National Welfare Rights Organization) to put C-P Strategy to work. They were able to put four million new recipients onto the New York State welfare rolls and almost double that many onto the nation’s welfare rolls between 1968 and 1970. A huge number of these additional welfare people lived in New York City.
C. Between 1968 and 1975 the NWRO had placed over eight million new welfare recipients on the rolls in New York State and almost sixteen million new people onto the rolls. A virtual two year long recession from early 1973 to January 1975 hit the stock market with its biggest losses since the Great Depression. In 1975 NYC went bankrupt and was bailed out by the federal government. New York State teetered upon the edge of bankruptcy.
D. Even though a GNI was never seriously considered in Congress, Cloward and Piven and Wiley declared “victory” in numerous speaking engagements and in print. They advised their followers to move into voter registration and housing. Wiley’s lieutenant Wade Rathke (who’d been sent to Arkansas in 1970 by the NWRO) had been assigned the task of creating a C-P strategy for a future campaign. Between President Carter; the Democratic Congress in 1977 and Wade Rathke’s creation of ACORN in Arkansas that task was successfully completed.
E. In 1993, shortly after being elected to his first term, President Bill Clinton oversaw the creation of the Motor Voter Bill (called by many “a superhighway to voter fraud). ACORN which had been pushing for loosened standards of proof for voters for 16 years was represented at the signing ceremony by Richard Cloward and Frances Piven standing directly behind his desk while he signed the new law.
F. Corruption was rampant, Democratic leaders like Barney Frank and especially Fanny Mae head Franklin Raines (who it's believed personally profited over $150 million from the scandal) maintained over and over throughout the period from 2004 to 2007 while speaking about Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac that these were solid investments for the public. Anyone who dared to point out the dangers was castigated and demagogued as a racist or non-patriotic person. Today more than three million potential new foreclosures are about to be added to the housing market. Even one foreclosure in a neighborhood can devastate the local home values. Fanny’s and Freddy’s future is still very much in the air.G. Only one honest voice has come out discussing about 1% of this very serious and critical matter: Timothy Geithner.

The truth about these matters is not only of great financial import but also critical to the awareness of the American voters. ** Just exactly what is so wrong with renting homes and apartments^^ anyway? What tiny percentage of today's college students, other young people, high school dropouts and other scarcely-educated people, (the people who typically have bad credit, no credit or are inexperienced) and the people without jobs earning themselves at least $40,000 yearly or more can be counted upon to pay off ANY mortgage loans they'd be given?
If they can't put down even 10% down payment, what are the chances they'll ever actually own their own homes rather than the bank owning it? The whole CRA thing was a huge Ponzi scheme based upon the idea that housing prices NEVER go down . . . which is patent nonsense. Of course IF housing prices NEVER go down, then these people who are getting home loans which objectively they do NOT deserve will indeed make a profit . . . so this is a share-the-wealth project as well. But, of course, no investment grows to heaven . . . home prices routinely drop, that is reality. Renting is a time-honored tradition of the young, of students, of low educated people. Many of them end up owning a home later . . . but once the government prohibited free market loan evaluations, everything becomes irreparably corrupted.

^^ Another way to look at this is that CRA legislation was class warfare against the upwardly mobile middle-class. These are the people who invest in rental properties. If no one rents what happens to these people? What happens to upward mobility? What happens to the American Dream? This is the classic "Broken Windown Fallacy" where this category of taxpayers is made "invisible" so that they can be abused to the benefit of people who do not pay taxes. This definition of anarchy in my Webster’s College Dictionary: “theory that regards the absence of all direct or coercive government as a political ideal.” Hello! This is anarchy? How Ridiculous! Continuing with this definition, “and that proposes the cooperative and voluntary association of individuals and groups as the principal mode of organized society.” Convention comes up with this bad joke as anarchy—sustainers sustaining La La Land. Constitutional government described as anarchy is 180 degrees off course. The world has gone whacko!
On Tuesday, July 12, 2011, a red letter day in history, I viewed Glenn Beck, the man of the hour, addressing the Knesset, Israel’s legislative assembly. Glenn said that he sees people as just wanting to live their lives without official interference; it’s the power structure that brings about chaos. His words brought to mind my dictionary definition of anarchy.
I’ve never heard Glenn mention astrology. My astrological chart shows Saturn, my learning planet, to be angularly aligned with Pluto, the generational planet, in what is called a trine. This alignment means that I would know the subtle workings of the universe. I would be able to slowly make fundamental and irrevocable changes in my life and others lives.
The day before Glenn’s speech, on July 11, 2011, I learned that the UN, the US, the EU, and Russia were meeting to decide the fate of Israel, without Israel’s participation, because Israel had not worked out a suitable agreement with Palestine. What!
Glenn Beck told his Knesset audience that Israel and the western way of life were in grave danger. The prophet Habakkuk, toward the end of the Old Testament, lamented, “O Lord, how long shall I cry and thou wilt not hear! Even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!
Glen tells us to look within for our answers. Jesus said to first seek the kingdom of God. There is a distinction between the Habakkuk’s kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God. There are omissions in the kingdom of heaven. Everyone is included in the kingdom of God. There are no boundaries in man’s spiritual domain. Why a promised land exclusively for Jews? That’s Old Testament theology. It didn’t work; it doesn’t work. The reaction is godless socialism. Palestine is socialist. America is on the brink of becoming a socialist state.
All religions are welcome in Israel. Not so in socialist Palestine. Why is the world on Palestine’s side? It isn’t. It is the freaks in control. Jesus came to save the world. He was crucified. We have yet to learn the distinction between the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God. The kingdom of heaven is dimensional. We are still fighting holy wars. Jesus was everyone’s messiah. “You should read “What’s the Matter with Kansas” & “Deer Hunting With Jesus”. Both are great takes on a working class, anti-intellectual, redneck culture that has been convinced to consistently vote against their own best interests. I listen to my own father, who has been the victim of layoffs from corporate merger after merger, who’s had his retirement fucked, who’s lost money on wall street – he’s done everything he was ‘supposed’ to do. He joined the military, went to college, had 2 kids, bought the house, invested & saved his money, worked his fucking ass off all his life & he still has squat to show for it. Now as a man well into his 60s he’s feeling the wrath of age discrimination, he’s finding his skills becoming outdated & his pay & benefits today (for the last 10 years) are lower than what they’ve been in the last 30 for him. Living the american life he finds his health failing as he’s a lifetime smoker with a growing waistline.
He’s the prototypical uncultured, red-blooded american male. He slathers his streak in ketchup, votes conservatives down the line, and wants the good old days before the women, blacks and fags took over. He’s a flag waver, supports his troops, and fends for himself. He’s always bitching about how much money corporations have to spend bc of regulation & about how the upper class need a tax cut. Nothing in the world makes him angrier than “socialism” & the so-called welfare state. Working people getting needed services bothers him tremendously because a few extreme token examples get painted as degenerate leeches by the likes of AM Radio & Fox News. ANd then he’ll turn right around & support corporate subsidy for just about anything from corn to oil – b/c it “stimulates jobs” and it “trickles down”.
He refuses to recognize that we as a nation spend more money at the beckoning of corporate America than we even begin to touch what we spend on our own citizenry through what he claims is “welfare” or infrastructure. He’s a working class guy who’s been fucked by the system all his life. He still puts his suit on with a kind of sad pride, every day, & goes to work downtown to phone-monkey job nowadays. He’s doing a job any body could do but he likes to pretend all his education & experience has gotten him somewhere. He’s deluded about what America’s exceptional way of life has brought him personally as he is deluded about what the world is like at large. So he denies global warming, blames the unions, blames teachers & other government workers, blames regulation, blames the EPA & the FDA, blames those struggling to make it in this world, blames the blacks, blames the immigrants, blames everyone & anyone but those at the top.
He’d rather blame fellow working people trying to grab a piece of the pie, rather than blame the crooks who deprive us all. Because somehow – be it by gender identity, racial identity, national identity, he thinks his class, his type belongs at the top. He’s the top dog! But he’s not. He’s a nigger, i’m a nigger, muslims are niggers and mexicans are niggers, teachers and steel workers, and farmers too. To people like the Koch Brothers, we’re all niggers and my dad can’t see that. This is an us vs them game and people like my father are fucking deluded as to what side they’re on or can be on one day. Somewhere deep down inside, he admires those at the top – he wants to be them & even though he knows he’ll never be one of them, he likes to pretend.
He goes to his Applebee’s, Red Lobster & Outback & bitches about all the blacks there. I think this is important to note – it’s indicative of his whole perspective. He is the same CLASS of people as these folks, he’s spending roughly the same amount on dinner as them, but thinks things are going to hell because they are there. He doesn’t get that he IS THEM. He’s the same fucking class, in the same fucking boat. He’s got relatively the same education level, roughly the same pay checks, living roughly the same way of life. But he’s been convinced to fight, to hate, to dislike his own class of people & to admire & defend the class that basically owns & controls his life & all our lives. He has been perfectly trained to rail against the ‘other’.
Against feminists, environmentalists, labor movements, racial minorities, immigrants, public sector workers, union members. These people aren’t HIS brothers & sisters – they are his enemy. He’s so busy hating “otherness” that he doesn’t realize he is them – and we’re all getting fucked by the same small group of people at the top. This is the same thing as him blaming unions & the welfare state. He has been indoctrinated through the years to fight amongst, to disagree with, to blame, & sometimes to outright hate people in the same boat as him. Not only kiss the ass of, but actively defend & fight on behalf of those who would take everything away from him, his wife & his family if they could make a buck on it – because he believes in an American dream & a way of life that simply doesn’t exist. He talks of freedom of those who have all the capital, but he doesn’t worry about his own freedom. He doesn’t worry about the freedom of his neighbors.
All he see’s as those liberal that take away rich people’s money are the same people telling him where he can & cannot smoke and that he should put his seatbelt on – so liberals must “hate freedom!”. Those damned reading elitist liberal communists! He has been convinced, as have many Americans – to hate their own & to defend their masters. To squabble over our petty & even cosmetic differences, rather than to unite on our common interests to fight for proper pay, benefits, rights as a consumer & as a worker, & for a clean environment. This is what happens when you have a class of people who were never taught to think for themselves, who act like reading is for fags, who are more willing to listen to hot heads like Beck & Limbaugh than to read any kind of political theorists, scientists, or economists.
This is what happens when you close your mind & you become one who’s always looking for that “other” to hate & to blame for your problems rather than to look at yourself or open your eyes to the bigger picture. People like my dad are willing to accept AM radio, Fox News talk shows, & even Fwd chain emails as official sources, & then single-handedly ignore any material the talking heads on these shows didn’t point him to. Because you can’t trust anyone but them! The ability to critically think, verify, discern the credibility of sources, to do the damned research yourself, is completely lost on these folks. That’s what these fucking Tea Party & GOP talking heads hope for. They hope to god that their lies they spew get echoed in the public sphere so often that it becomes reality. That people are too dumb or too lazy to verify what they spout.
This makes it so that people who are trying to get real shit done have to waste our time correcting mis-truths & disinformation just to garnish the slightest bit of public support to make progress anywhere. People don’t realize how dangerous this shit is. Right now the economy is & had been in the shitter. People are scared. People have lost their jobs & they’re angry. They have organized & mobilized into this populist “tea party”. They even think it’s a real grassroots org & dismissing the fact that they’re being led by billionaires & a corporate media. These are the angry masses that will eat up any scapegoat that their “leaders” feed them.
We’ve seen this in history before. I’m not trying to evoke Godwins Law or anything but i see a lot of correlations between the right-wing disenfranchised populist uprising here in America & a lot of what people experience in Wiemar Germany. There was a lot of angry people, scared about the loss of their jobs & an economy in bad shape. Those angry, uneducated people were looking for someone to blame. They didn’t care if they sided with a political party that would be responsible for fucking them over & destroying their democracy, not to mention the massive harm they would do to other groups. No, all that mattered was they found leaders who pretended to have answers. People like quick & simple answers & fixes, certainty & shared anger.
That’s what the Nazi Party gave them. That’s what the Tea Party/Fox News/AM Radio & portions of the GOP are giving this right wing uprising too. Anything intellectual is ignored or met with disinformation & a general air an superior anti-intellectualism. Everywhere I go: home to my parents, at work in the break room, flip on the tv, browse the internet – i see the same message: “My opinion is better than your facts”. This approach is rooted deeply in ignorance & anger most of the time. When the populace stops listening to those with brains & ignores factual information, & opts for those that shout opinions, we got a problem. The Tea Party would be an extremely powerful force if they had a politician that was worth a damn. Every time they have someone who is charismatic, they’re an obvious idiot or crook.
If somebody comes along who is charismatic & honest the US is in trouble bc of the frustration, disillusionment, justified anger & the absence of any coherent response from liberals. What are people supposed to think if someone says ‘I have got an answer, we have an enemy’? There it was the Jews. Here it will be the illegal immigrants from Mexico, the Muslims, teachers, unions, Planned Parenthood, NPR, & blacks (you can toss in atheists, homosexuals & liberals too). We will be told that WASPy private sector males are a persecuted minority. We will be told we have to defend ourselves & the honor of the nation. instead of fixing problems that truly affect the all of the working class, the nation will be convinced to support legislation that will further protect & consolidate power for the corporate elite.
All those privacy rights, the voice we have in our government, & due process checks & balances that protect us all? Those things just get in the way of security & stability. The right-wing that supports these parties & leaders get hurt too, just in a more subtle way – they give away their rights & are too stupid to realize what they’ve done to themselves.

What is the point in this? – Seems like its just spreading stereotypical hate against middle-america… Whether it be true or not.
What about the closed minded liberal who completely disregards everything said from the other side, as lies…. who classifies everything that comes from Fox as lies… and classifies everyone who watches/listened to fox and am radio as racist, bigoted, homophobes…. What about those people. Do they have the right to just generalize all those who disagree with them, whether they be factually incorrect, or just misinformed. Should these people be hailed as our saviors?

No it’s not stereotypical hate against middle America. The point of this? It’s actually pointing to a very sad fact about how some people think. The point, Greg, is that the only thing thing you ever hear coming from the people they listen to who spew hatred from the extreme “conservative” media are complaints, and attacks. They’re not offering solutions that would help ALL Americans. - Do you believe that you will be a recipient of the Social Security funds that you have paid into the system?
- Do you believe that the government will in any way give you financial support in your old age?
- Do you believe that you will have subsidized medical care in old age in the form of Medicare?
- Do you believe that you will be able to retire at the age of 65?
- Do you believe that the current social models of retirement homes, assisted living facilities and extended-care medical institutions will be available to you in your late years?
- Do you believe that you will have to depend upon your family or faith congregation to meet your old age needs?
- Do you believe you will have the means to live independently in your old age?
- Do you believe that the current debt crisis and addiction to spending on the part of the federal government will turn upside down the entitlement programs that have been available to elderly Americans since FDR?
This is not a test. And I don't really care how you answered these questions. But I hope that I have caused you to reflect upon the future for Americans just now entering their 50s and 60s.
I am a late Boomer, born in 1961. I have had the gut feeling (knowledge) since about 1989 that I would not be a part of the Social Security generation. I frankly don't believe the projections that Medicare will become insolvent in 2024 and Social Security in 2036. I think it is around the corner. There will be an upheaval in the immediate future, whether gradual or sudden, that will completely alter the lives and expectations of the American aging class.
I put a post on Twitter yesterday that said "Are you ready to be part of the generation who disengages from government dependence?" The next tweets followed: "Are you ready to become the generation who will be self-reliant in old age? Are you prepared to work as long as you can? Are you prepared to find support in old age the old fashioned way, through family and church?"
This to some is horrifying. No safety net? No government to care for those who have no church or willing family to help them as they age and contend with illness and impending death?
This is the reality check of the century and our thinking and approach to life as elderly people will require a drastic reset if we are to survive past this point.
The victories of Socialism via Obama, and decades of a burgeoning government and the dependence of individuals thereon, are made downright tragic by the effect of the assault on families and churches that have left so many of the Boomer generation alone, and faithless. In the 1960s couples started to shrink their families and chose to bear few or no children. Children are traditionally the most reliable form of security to aging parents. Many have chosen not to marry and as families of origin die out, they are left alone. Churches and strong congregations remain, but many individuals have abandoned the faiths of their childhood and lack the essential ties to a church family that are often a compassionate and effective source of support for the elderly and lonely.
Our children have a little time to adjust to a life style of total self-reliance. As far as they're concerned, the sooner the reset occurs, the better. But for the Boomers and those entering their 40s, we are in for some pain.
My plan is simply to:
- Stay healthy and be in charge of my own wellness
- Keep working indefinitely or until illness or accident takes away my ability to do so
- Always have a little savings in the bank
- Have home storage which includes food and other essentials sufficient for at least 6 months
- Live each day with the understanding that I will have to take care of my own needs now and throughout my old age and when I am unable to care for myself I will have to lean on my children and on my church
What is your plan?

“A radical Islamist group which claims a presence in nearly 50 countries is so confident it can help establish a global Muslim government — or caliphate — that it distributed a draft constitution during a recent conference outside of Chicago.
It calls for the death penalty for apostates and for creating a government department dedicated to jihad.
The latest Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT) gathering drew more than 300 people to a DoubleTree Hotel ballroom on June 26.
Although it is officially committed to nonviolence, HT preaches a virulent brand of hatred for the United States, and for Western democracy in general. Its alumni include such violent Islamists as Khaiid Sheikh Mohammad, mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, and the late Iraqi jihadist Abu Musab Zarqawi.
At the conference, activists portrayed Islam as the only real force in the world standing up to the United States and the West. With Soviet communism gone, the West is now confronted with the threat posed by Islam, said a speaker identified as Reza Imam.
"And they see the return of Islam," he warned.
At the conference, HT activists distributed a brochure detailing how the Muslim state would be governed. The document is “to be studied by Muslims while they are working to establish the Islamic State that will carry the Islamic da’wah [proselytizing] to the world,” it says. The document would govern “the Islamic State in the Islamic world” and does not target individual countries.
The pamphlet, entitled “Khilafah State Structure: Introduction to the Constitution,” contains charts illustrating how a caliphate government would function along with a draft constitution.
“Those that are guilty of apostasy from Islam are to be executed according to the rule of apostasy, provided they have themselves renounced Islam,” says Article 7. Moreover, “if they are born as non-Muslims, i.e., if they are the sons of apostates, then they are treated as non-Muslims . . .”
The caliphate government would establish an “Internal Affairs Department” which would include a division of “Apostasy.”
Waging jihad would be a top priority for the government. The caliphate cabinet includes a senior-level “Private Secretary” for jihad. The “Military Department,” which appears to be a cabinet-level agency, would be headed by a “Field Marshall,” who appoints a “Director of Jihad,” his second in command. Included within the Treasury department would be something called a “Department of Jihad.”
Articles 51 through 55 of the draft constitution would establish an “Amir [military leader] of Jihad” who would supervise holy war-related activities in government agencies.
The group believes that this year’s revolutions in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Syria, and other states offer Muslims an opportunity to throw off the shackles of Western colonialism.
A flyer for the conference appears on the HT website: “Will the Muslim world rid itself of Western colonial interference? Will these events lead to the application of Islam and the re-establishment of the Khilafah [caliphate] State?”
Arab rulers are pretending to be legitimate leaders just as Soviet Communist Party leaders used to do, Imam told the conference.
While HT has struggled to win followers in the United States, its name has come up in connection with several recent terror-related arrests.
Farooque Ahmed, 34, was arrested last October and charged with plotting to blow up Washington, D.C., metro stops and a D.C. hotel frequented by members of the military. Authorities found HT literature when they searched Ahmed’s suburban Virginia home. In April, he pleaded guilty to terror-related charges and was sentenced to 23 years in prison.
Antonio Martinez, a 21-year-old Muslim convert who also goes by the name of Muhammad Hussain, was arrested in December and charged with plotting to blow up an Army recruiting center near Baltimore. He reportedly followed the teachings of Omar Bakri Muhammad, a Muslim Brotherhood member who founded HT in England.
HT seeks to re-establish the caliphate that had existed during the Ottoman Empire, abolished by Turkish leader Kemal Ataturk in 1924. Once it is in place, “our problems would disappear and the forces of Satan would be pushed back,” Abu Atallah said. Once the caliphate is established, the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem “would be taken back from the Crusaders [Israel],” Atallah said.
Audience members responded enthusiastically to the attacks on the United States and quoted writings from columnist Patrick Buchanan portraying Islam as ascendant and the West in decline, interrupting speakers time and again with shouts of “Takbir” and “Allahu Akbar.” The speakers responded by joining the chants themselves.”

“At a meeting of the David Allen Lewis “Eschatology Club” a year ago in Springfield, Missouri, where I was the featured speaker, I was told by the organizers that in the previous monthly meeting, Pastor Don Jones made a disturbing statement about President Barack Obama’s plan to Islamicize America.
Jones went to one of his orphanages in Haiti after the massive earthquake there and met with a senior UN official, who said Obama had told him that the US would be a Muslim country by 2016, or by the end of his second term in office.
While that may seem far-fetched, it is not beyond the realm of possibility. First, Obama’s biological father was a Muslim— which makes the President a Muslim. His stepfather was an Indonesian Muslim who raised Obama as a Muslim in a mosque and madrassa (Islamic religious school) in Indonesia until age 11. His halfbrothers in Kenya are Muslims.
My wife Rachel, who is a radio and TV monitor in the Arabic language for Israel Radio in Jerusalem, has picked up many broadcasts indicating that the Arabs see Obama as a Muslim. In one broadcast prior to the 2008 elections, the Saudis claimed that “we will have a Muslim in the White House.”
Another Saudi broadcast said: “Obama’s job is to terminate the Shiite threat [Iran] and the Jewish threat [Israel]. And if he cannot do this, he should pack his bags and go home.”
America has always been a Judeo- Christian nation, but demographically at least, this is no longer true. While there are more than 250 million Christians in the US, the 6 million Jews are now outnumbered by Muslims who total about 20 million (9 million Iranians who fled after the fall of the Shah, 7 million Arabs and at least 3 million black Muslims, with the remainder being from Somalia and the former Yugoslavia).
Numerically, the Jews are now no. 3 or 4 along with the Hindus in the US, whose population is about the same as the Jews. According to Obama’s Inauguration Day speech, America is a “Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu” country. Numerically, he is right. So much for Judeo-Christian America.
In the June edition of Israel Today, I wrote about the worsening conditions of the Christians in Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. International investment in Egypt has all but dried up since the Revolution. What international (Christian) corporation will invest in a country, which is killing and ethnically cleansing its Christians? So the Egyptian economy appears doomed to collapse, which would create fertile ground for a takeover by the radical Muslim Brotherhood.
This would leave 70 million Muslims in Egypt in dire poverty.
The same applies to other countries in the Middle East that could be taken over by Islamic militants. In the case of Syria, the ruling Muslim Alawite sect will probably share the same fate as the Christians. This could lead to a flood of Arab Muslims to greener pastures in the West.
The Bible says Egypt will be a desolation and Egyptians will flee to other countries because the nation will be uninhabitable for 40 years (Ezekiel 29). If the official Syrian newspaper Tishrin is correct in saying that 600,000 Palestinian refugees and Syrians will march on the Golan Heights to reclaim their land, then a war with Syria is inevitable, which means that Syria will be a desolation as well (Isaiah 17).
The result could be tens of millions of Muslims fleeing to the US and Europe. President Obama would welcome these “brethren” on humanitarian grounds, and in effect, America would become a Muslim country.
I was just convicted and given a three-year jail sentence in Switzerland for helping defeat a plan to build minarets at the nation’s mosques by a 57 percent majority.
But the Muslims in Switzerland are already returning with a new minaret initiative. They are tenacious in their plans to Islamicize Switzerland and Europe. Why not the US?”

Obama wants no short term fixes, FANTASTIC! - Then why the heck are you folding again, and reducing our starting amount of deficit reduction from 4 Trillion to 2 !
It appears that Obama has just outflanked you once again. I am all for long term responsible politics but let's get something straight; the longer the term of the fix the higher the amount we are going to demand. If anything Mr. Boehner you should be raising our demand from 4 Trillion to 6, not reducing it! The longer Obama wants to draw this out the higher the amount of the reduction MUST BE!
Obama is very proud of his slick double talker and most of the time he is impressed with himself. He acts as if he has something to offer when in fact he is pulling one over on you. There is absolutely nothing Obama has to offer, which is why he does not operate with concessions in mind! It is He who has dug himself into a hole, not us. We are merely trying to get him out of it and that is going to cost him! Listen to what Dumbo has just said to the media - he just told them that he wants to get as much as he can, and you tell him that we are reducing our demand!? That even sounds like something President Carter would have said.
Here is the deal: The LONGER THE TERM of deficit reduction THE HIGHER THE AMOUNT will be! We do not negotiate the rate of reduction, but if Obama wants a longer term deal then give it to him and raise the amount!
You folded the last time and he still pulled one over on you, don't fold again! Deficit ceiling and reduction is not negotiable! If Obama wants a long term deal then lay it out for him, tell him how many years we'll give government to get the debt wiped out, and if that comes to a 2 Trillion per year then tell him we'll give him the short, or long term. 2 Trillion (per year) for short term, and 4 Trillion (per two years) for the long term. End of discussion!
If Obama wants to reduce the amount from 4 Trillion to 2, then we'll give it to him, in half the time - Amen!

As the pressure mounts on the economic front and in the debt-ceiling debate with the loyal opposition, President Obama is becoming more and more comfortable unabashedly piling up “Frequent Liar Miles.” Mr. Obama is now well set to fly non-stop around the globe for the next 84 years. Allow us to present some of the low-lights of our mendacious Liar-in-Chief’s recent utterances: the big picture about the Debt-Ceiling argument according to Mr. Obama is that he says he believes “in a balanced approach.” That single lie should, in all honesty, be worth about a three hundred normal, old fashioned cross-my-heart-hope-to-die-lies while crossing all ten fingers behind your back . . . but propriety demands we only count it as one puny lie, alas!
Of course, Mr. Obama when a senator told us that the attempt by then President Bush to raise the debt-limit indicated an ineptness in government . . . so Mr. Obama talks to the American people out of both sides of his mouth . . . often at the same time . . . but that’s not surprising anyone anymore . . . just par for the course. President Obama most definitely does NOT believe in a balanced approach. Mr. Obama is the most radical occupant ever to sit in the Oval Office. He has displayed tunnel-vision and one-track loyalty toward rapid expansion of government at any cost. Where is Mr. Obama’s ballyhooed “balance” with regard to energy policy? As you can verify in the links below: he has sworn in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle that his energy policies will “bankrupt the coal industry”; and will “necessarily cause electricity prices to skyrocket” . . . is that balance?

And make no bones about it, energy costs and the cost of DEpendence upon foreign oil is a big part of our economic woes and our debt and spending woes.
He has taken $787 Billion from the taxpayers to create a stimulus program that produced one job for every $678, 000 in subsidies but refuses to consider leaving the taxpayers holding their own money and allowing the free market to create jobs for, oh say, $180,000. Is that the balance he’s talking about? He has given us the most swollen bureaucracy in the history of the country producing one new government job for every 2.3 jobs lost because of the subsidies’ negative effect on the economy . . . surely he’s not calling that “balance.” Rajjpuut is feeling so UNbalanced by all the president’s lying that in this blog he’s only been able to deal with one among all the recent false Obama output . . . Ouch! Mr. Obama believes we can spend, borrow, and tax our way to prosperity . . . that is surely the product of an UNbalanced mind, eh? Speaking of UNbalanced minds . . . .

According to charges raised by Black freshman Florida Representative Alan West, Obama’s attorney general and incompetent-in-chief, Eric Holder, on April 2, 2009 (was he writing this speech on April Fool’s Day?) in Cuernavava, Mexico, told a Mexican audience about a "major new effort” to deal with the violent Mexican drug cartels.
I would like to thank the Mexican and U.S. experts who have worked so hard on this issue. On our side, Secretary Napolitano and I are committed to putting the resources in place to increase our attack on arms trafficking into Mexico.
Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail.

Holder, of course, recently lied to House Chairman of the Oversight Committee Dan Issa and said he had no knowledge of the badly bungled “Operation Fast and Furious” which altered the Bush game plan in “Project Gun Runner.” Holder admitted to only learning about Operation Fast and Furious seven weeks after its role in the deaths of two Americans (one Immigration agent and one Homeland Security officer) was going viral on the internet.
Project Gun Runner, which was in effect when Obama and Holder took office, was an ongoing sting operation which caught Mexican and Americans in the middle of transacting arms deals and arrested them. The ill-conceived and badly botched Operation Fast and Furious (OFF) actually allowed the purchases of tens of thousands of weapons to take place and attempted to follow the guns into Mexico. Of course with almost no variance, once the guns crossed the border, all trace of them was lost unless they wound up at the scene of a crime . . . as they did in the deaths of the two American officers. Mexican officials are enraged, as they suspect that the sharp recent rise in deaths on their side of the border was exacerbated by OFF weapons. They claim that thousands of Mexican citizens may have died from bullets sprayed from OFF weaponry. If you’ll re-read the Holder quote above from April, 2009, you’ll notice that it appears that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and President Obama were aware and complicit in the creation of OFF as well.
Besides its obvious stupidity, OFF featured Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Holder’s Justice Department deliberately withholding information from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF or just ATF) which had been conducting Bush’s Project Gun Runner so that the ATF spent huge amounts of time trying to piece together information already in the hands of the other three federal departments (such as the identity of the arms traffic ringleaders in Mexico and the U.S. Was this by design? It appears to be so, because it took ATF a long time to figure out that OFF was dramatically different (and flawed) from Gun Runner. Once ATF discovered this the agents in the field began to howl like stuck pigs about the foolish operation. Of course, right now the ATF is turning tons of documents proving all this to Chairman Issa’s Oversight Committee even while Holder and the Obama administration is trying to push the blame upon the ATF and stonewalling Issa’s committee. Notice: not only does it appears that OFF began not later than early April, 2009, notice that in the link above on the second video clip which is President Obama meeting with Mexican President Felipe Caldero`n and answering a reporter’s questions by referring to “gun tracing” initiatives. It appears that President Obama was in on this from the start. Ah, lying, it gets contagious doesn’t it?
Rep. Allen West has revealed all this and added:
"Eric Holder has to be brought before an investigative committee and if those charges are warranted he needs to be held accountable but at least the President needs to realize that Eric Holder needs to be removed from the Department of Justice or else I believe President Obama is complicit and in approval of the actions of his Attorney General."
The $64,000 Question is, of course, WHY? Why was Operation Fast and Furious created? Why was the temporary head of ATF never replaced by the Obama administration? Why was temporary ATF Director Ken Melson and the entire ATF deliberately kept in the dark about what exactly OFF was and what was going on in OFF? Why was Holder referring to "Project Gun Runner" in his speech; why would he publicly alert anyone about a sting project created by the Bush administration? Why was OFF designed to allow weapons to get all the way into Mexico where we have no jurisdiction? Is there a logical answer to these questions?
The problem solving principle known as "Occam's Razor" (lex parsimoniae -- "the simplest explanation requiring the least assumptions is most likely the correct one") holds the likely answer to all these questions. Melson was left in charge of the ATF and he and the ATF were not kept current on exactly what OFF was because they were being set up as scape goats. Even as late as last week, the ATF whistle-blowers who'd been complaining loud and long about what was going on in OFF and about the change in emphasis and tactics were still referring to OFF by its name under the Bush administration (back in the days when it worked and made logical sense) "Project Gun Runner." The purpose of all this: to give Obama data backing up the left's claim that 90% of the guns owned by the Mexican Drug cartels came from American gun sales. Obama has long been promising the anti-gun fringe of his supporters that he would outlaw automatic weapons . . . apparently thinking that the best way to do this was by helping the Mexican drug cartels get their hands on thousands of automatic weapons -- your tax dollars at work corrupting the world!
Let's see how long it is before the mainstream/lame-stream media begins to cover this boondoggle and the cover-up!

Americans Join the Fight:
By April 15, Tax Day 2009, Americans were ready to fight back. Hundreds of thousands took to the streets across the country in what were called Tea Party protests. I was invited to speak at Tea Parties all across South Carolina. Thousands attended and audiences roared with approval when I was introduced as the senator who fought the bailout bill, the stimulus bill, and wasteful pork-barrel earmarks.
The isolation I felt in Washington disappeared as I realized millions of Americans were willing to stand and fight with me. They demanded Washington stop spending, stop borrowing, stop increasing the debt, and stop the government takeovers. They even demanded term limits for congressmen and senators! These freedom loving Americans were my real colleagues. They convinced me to keep fighting the Washington establishment, despite the pain and long odds of success.
On September 12, 2009, a national tea party was held in Washington. Numerous conservative organizations and grassroots groups came together for an event on the National Mall that came to be known as 9/12. Hundreds of thousands of Americans came to protest the healthcare bill and the expansion of the federal government. I was honored to be asked to speak at the event. Before speaking, I spent most of the day mingling among the crowd and talking to people from all over the country.
Many of the marchers encouraged me with comments like: “Thanks for fighting, we’re praying for you, and what can we do?” These people were not partisan ideologues; they were afraid for their country and seemed almost desperate to stop Washington from pushing it over a cliff.
The 9/12 rally convinced me there was something deeply spiritual about what was happening in the nation. Call it a revival of the American spirit or an awakening of the American conscious – whatever their motivation, it was far deeper than political ideology. One lady who rode on a bus all night from South Carolina simply said, “I’ve never done anything like this before, but I had to do something.”
Many in the crowd were clearly motivated by their faith, but they were not in Washington to ask the government to promote religion or morality. Their concern for our country’s future seemed to have awakened their faith and stirred a sense of patriotism, civic responsibility, and a call to action. They knew their rights and freedoms came from God, not government, and they believed an expansive, debt-ridden government would destroy freedom in America.
Despite this incredible show of support for conservative principles on our front porch, Republicans in the Senate continued business as usual. At our weekly Republican Policy lunch on the Tuesday after the historic 9/12 rally, there was not even a mention of what happened within a few feet of where we were sitting. At the end of the meeting, I stood up and said, “Friends, we have talked of the need for a ‘big tent’ Republican Party. Well, that ‘big tent’ came to Washington last weekend and invited us to join them. They want all the things we say we believe in: less government, less spending, less debt, and less taxes. They are not going to embrace us until we embrace them.” I looked around the room. Silence. No comment.
Trying to change the Senate is akin to paddling up Niagara Falls. I was discouraged and tired of beating my head against the marble walls in Washington. Debbie and I struggled for many months about the decision to run for re-election in 2010. I didn’t want to spend another six years in Washington with the same people I’d been with for the last six years. Many wonderful people serve in the Congress from both parties. But too few believe in constitutional, limited government. Even fewer have the courage to stand for the proven principles of freedom when they are faced with demands from those who want more from government.
I can honestly say I have fought with all my strength and put it all on the line. Today – Election Day – I will find out if Americans have answered the call. What has happened in America over the last two years has been truly stunning. From the conflicts and drama behind the scenes in Washington to the revolutionary awakening of the American people, the battle for America’s soul is a story every citizen should know. And it is the story I tell in this book.
This is my personal story and it is written from my vantage point as a U.S. Senator. It is not intended to suggest in any way I was a central figure in this great American awakening. Millions of Americans led this effort and no one person or group can take credit for the historic changes that occurred in the two years leading up to Election Day 2010.

I. Five Reasons to be Optimistic About America’s Future!

“I am very optimistic about America’s, as well as the world’s, future. We are in a unique part of world history that has ideas and worldview clashing in such a way where there is no way to escape the onslaught of progressive paganism except to engage it head on. World War I and II brought this unique time into full view of, well, the world. Back then it was a literal war. It was so in-your-face that you couldn’t escape the reality of it. There was literally no where to hide from the destruction and if there was, there was no easy way to get there.
We live in a similar world today, but instead of massive physical wars (there are plenty of wars going on now, but not on the scale of the early 20th century) we are engaged in a war of ideas. The battle has been mainly waged in the classroom by Secular Humanism in an attempt to brainwash children into continuing the Secular cause. These so-called Secular trained Progressives have infiltrated all areas of our society and have changed our country from within with us being the willful recipients of their “change.” We were only willful because their changed happened so slowly we almost didn’t notice it. All of that is changing now. The disgusting fruit of this change has put a sour taste in our mouths and we now realize it is in no way nutritious and we want something better. I believe Americans are willing to fight these so called intellectuals at their own game and force them out of their closet of lies.
My optimism has encouraged me to come up with a short list for why we should be looking forward to our future and not depressed about it.
1. There is nowhere to run. This is a good thing. We must take a stand and fight or become complacent and accept the inevitable. I believe America’s history shows we never stand down from a fight that threatens our very freedoms. The first settlers to America were able to flee Europe for a better life. We should be thankful they made that decision. Europe is a decaying mess. Europe suffered as a result of that exodus. Americans have nowhere to run that provides for more freedoms than we already have. The only thing to do now is to fix the problems here. The mother of invention is necessity. The mother of worthwhile change is nowhere to run. The reason for America’s success in wars up through WWII was that we had something to fight for. We have something to fight for today.
2. Democrats and specifically Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama. To win a fight you need a truly awful villain. You need a villain you just love to hate and we got that in Nancy P. and President Obama. The amount of lies and double-speak these two have engaged in over the past 4 years is almost unbelievable. The Democrats take advantage of the internet whenever possible to push their Socialist agenda but always forget about it when telling lies. These things always come back to haunt you. In this day and age the idea of your sins finding you out isn’t a remote possibility. We know about it instantly. The plethora of evidence of the lies these two have told are so numerous it isn’t funny, but it has built a fire in our chest.
3. The Republican Party. I have already made a list of why today’s Republican Party stinks but they were very useful to us during the Bush years and not in a “they did such a great job way.” The Republicans have so far acted just like the Democrats. They have been so aligned with the Liberals in their spending and political correctness that they have awakened Conservatives from our complacency. We know the Republican Party has been no friend to Conservatism for the past decade or so. They have been buddies with Democrats in destroying our nation, but now we are wise to their act and are currently in the process of eradicating our closet Communists.
4. The TEA Party participants, Ron Paul, and Sarah Palin. Love them or hate them, these people have been a blessing for Americans. They have been on the offensive and aren’t afraid of the media. Americans love a good fight and Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, and the TEA Party participants have been winning almost every battle. The sleeping giant is awake inside America and we want our country back. The media can’t keep up. At every turn it tries to defame and destroy these people and at every turn the media ends up looking like a whining baby. Every day, we are rallied by these men and women to understand our history, Constitution, and laws and participate once again as “We the people…”
5. Elections are held every 2 years. Sometimes it seems like an eternity, but 2010 showed us that we can stop the destruction with our votes. 2012 will show us that we can reverse the destruction. We can keep voting until Congress, the President, and every politician understands that being voted in once is not a lifetime job with benefits. Every politician must be held accountable and with every election I believe that will be made known across the nation.
America is not done yet. Our collapse is not certain unless we stay on our current path. I believe Americans are clamoring for individual responsibility and they will fight until they get it back.”

“Last night, President Barack Obama and U.S. congressional leaders failed to reach agreement on a deal to raise the nation’s debt limit.
Meanwhile, it has been more than 800 days since the U.S. Senate passed a budget, liberals in Washington are pushing for higher taxes, unemployment is soaring, the deficit keeps growing, and America is careening toward an economic future as the Europe of the West.
That’s a future of crippling debt, spending, and permanently high unemployment that some in Congress are trying to avoid.
On Saturday, Speaker of the House John Boehner (R–OH) pulled the plug on a debt ceiling increase that would have raised taxes in exchange for reductions in spending. It was the right move. Tax increases are the last thing America needs as it struggles with 9.2 percent unemployment and stagnant job growth.
But America’s dismal economic reality–and the policy of taxing and spending–are facts of life the Obama Administration would like America to accept, along with their explanation of why growth has been so slow to date.
On yesterday’s Meet the Press, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner insisted that tax increases are necessary (though he used the code words “raising revenues”) and trotted out a long list of reasons why recovery has been so slow, including high gas prices, terrible weather, local governments making cutbacks, and the Japanese earthquake. What’s more, Geithner said that the President is “being too hard on himself” over America’s frustration with the economy and said that “we don’t have the ability, because of the overhang in housing and the problems in the financial system, to do—to engineer artificially . . . a stronger recovery.”
In other words, “It’s not our fault, don’t blame us, and get used to it.” The Heritage Foundation’s Mike Franc says that the White House’s defeatist tone likely will likely fall on deaf ears as Americans demand a future of growth, not decline:
It’s a message of resignation. Yes, it says, we’re doomed for economic decline no matter what, but trust us to manage it more gracefully than anyone else.
But Americans will likely stand athwart such defeatism and say “Stop!” There is no need, they will say, to tolerate European levels of unemployment. It’s an increasingly easy sell: Jettison the President’s European-style economic policies, and you jettison European-style unemployment.
The reality is that Americans need not resign themselves to the future that the White House would have them embrace. Flawed policies are holding back the U.S. economy, and there is room to grow if the government gets out of the way.
As Heritage’s Bill Beach explains that, “Based on our talents, resources, and capital structure, the economy should be growing now at 4—5 percent. That growth rate would produce over 250,000 jobs per month…enough to reduce the unemployment rate.” But because of big government policies, we’re not realizing those gains.
Washington can start on the path toward liberating that entrepreneurial capacity by making the right decisions on the debt limit. Higher taxes aren’t the right direction; cutting spending is.
Heritage’s James Sherk and Rea Hederman write that “Creating a hostile or favorable business climate is a policy choice . . . The tax and regulatory burden is a policy choice made by the government. If America creates a French-style social welfare state that erects barriers to entrepreneurship, then America will also get French levels of unemployment.”
America doesn’t have to be France. It doesn’t have to carry a European-style debt and tax burden. But the White House and congressional leaders must choose to enact policies that reject a European-style future.”

Although many Congressmen and most Senators are millionaires, no one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay for retirement. While politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.
Monday on Fox news, they learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if other news networks will broadcast it. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop?
Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.
This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on. This is an idea that we should address.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States."
