THE BORDER HAS NEVER BEEN SAFER

That was Janet Napolitano’s testimony recently. She praised her Department’s accomplishments (in other words: boasted in her own) saying that the border “has never been stronger.”

Check it out for yourself in the video and don't be surprised when you get pulled over and it's not law enforcement, but instead it's DHS. The next words you'll hear are everyone please exit the vehicle and keep you hands where we can see them.

And she has evidence to back this up. The number of illegal aliens apprehended by the Department of Homeland Security has never been lower. Obviously, this means that fewer of them are managing to penetrate our border security and arrive in this country illegally. Obviously, we have less to fear than ever before as far as a foreign terrorist getting onto US soil with a plan and a weapon.

But perhaps you can think of another possible implication of the fact that DHS is catching fewer illegal aliens than ever before. Even under the best of circumstances, it would be possible that more illegal immigrants are escaping detection than ever before. How do we know that DHS is really doing its job? Can DHS offer us any way of double checking that this?

I don’t know if Janet Napolitano has an answer to that question. I could understand that it is hard to prove a negative. But there is a further problem. Rather than attempt to give us assurance of that point, DHS has changed their record-keeping to make it even harder to find out if they are really keeping the border strong. Fox News reports that DHS “no longer measures illegal immigrants who get away — only those it catches.”

Got that? Every single suspected or identified illegal alien who is pursued but who evade capture goes unreported and unaccounted for. So while she’s bragging on her record, she has actually made that record less accurate and herself less accountable.

So no wonder Napolitano isn’t bothering to keep records that would give her a clue as to whether or not she was really doing her job. If no attack comes, she’ll brag on her record. If an attack comes, she’ll demand more money and power. She knows from history that we have a long tradition of never actually blaming the people in charge when anything goes wrong.

In the meantime, DHS is out there stopping Americans and interrogating them without cause within a hundred miles of a border. We’re not protected. We’re in prison.

The armies of the Soviet Union, Eastern Germany, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria crossed Czechoslovakia’s borders just before midnight on August 20, 1968 and by the next morning, the streets of all major cities were full of invading troops with tanks.

It has now been confirmed that the goal of the Department of Homeland Security is to purchase a total of 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition.  A portion of that ammunition is hollow point bullets, which have been banned from use in war by international law.  Another portion is specialized sniper ammunition.

In case you have a difficult time comprehending the significance of 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition, allow me to give you a couple of comparisons.  During the height of the war in Iraq, the US Army fired less than 6 million rounds per month.  That means DHS has enough ammunition to supply the US Army for 266.67 months (22.22 years) of intense war.

Currently, the DHS uses approximately 15 million rounds of ammunition every year at their various training facilities.  At that rate, they have enough ammunition for 106.67 years of training.

So ask yourself, what is the justification for the purchase of 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition by the Department of Homeland Security, especially when some of it is illegal to use in war?  Now ask yourself why Sen. Dianne Feinstein is so concerned about private citizens stockpiling ammunition, weapons and using high capacity magazines when the federal government is doing the same time only a thousand times more?

Perhaps the abundance of ammunition goes along with the purchase of ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ MaxxPro MRAP vehicles that are scheduled to be deployed on the streets of America.  The number of vehicles they are purchasing has not been released, but they are part of the 2,717 that have been recently retrofitted by the manufacturer.  The DHS appears to be taking delivery of the armored vehicles through the Marine Corps Systems Command located in Quantico, Virginia.

The scary part of the DHS acquiring MRAP vehicles is that they have been already been spotted in a number of cities throughout the country.  DHS cannot deny their existence since a number of them have been photographed and videoed by citizen observers.  Why would DHS need so many, assuming they are purchasing over a thousand, MRAP vehicles deployed throughout the US, unless they are preparing for a war of some kind?  Now add to that question the fact that the MRAP vehicles are equipped with gun ports.

There can be no doubt that Barack Hussein Obama is preparing for the bloodiest war in American history and it’s going to take place here on American soil.  When?  It has to be prior to the 2016 election, unless he manages to force a constitutional amendment allowing himself to run for a third term.  However, I truly don’t think the amendment will be necessary, because he plans to forcibly take control of the country prior to the election.  Everything points to the conclusion that this is all in preparation for a hostile military takeover.

No doubt, Obama is purposely pushing patriotic Americans to a street fight, so you would be playing right into his hands and you will die or be imprisoned. We will loose America for sure. Pick up a gun and you’ll be labeled as a enemy combatant and visited by a Hell-Fire missile sent from above. Your anger toward these communist criminal thugs is righteous, yet misplaced. This cancer that has invaded our government has to be cut out with surgical precision by removing the communists one politician at a time in the voting booth beginning in your local community with the Dog Catcher, if need be. Just make sure the Dog Catcher is a God fearing, Constitution loving, patriot. This is where the real battle must begin. We cannot kill the entire host to get rid of the cancer and a street fight will obviously kill everything. You must take your anger and the fight to the voting booth.

You cannot let the traitorous liars within the media lie to you; that are voting process is so corrupted, it’s no use to vote, that was all by Obama’s design in order to make you feel like you have no choice but to pick up a gun and hit the streets. The only thing that will hit the streets will be your head after it’s blown off. Wise up and turn your anger toward the cure, we still have God and we still have the Constitution and we still have the ability to select our politicians who serve over us. Most of all, we must make this God’s fight. Realize that God dwells in you and we are all brethren, that was Jesus’ real message. America belongs to God and unless he tells you directly to use firearms against Obama’s communist government, don’t do it.

I thought for sure Obama would not be reelected. The next day I felt sick to my stomach, like many of you must have felt. I asked God, what happened. It almost felt like my own Father betrayed me. I was upset and very angry because I worked hard against Obama’s communist regime. In prayer God spoke to me, yes God still speaks to people, he said; “You fought the battle politically. The battle needed to be first fought spiritually.” This is a spiritual battle between good and evil first and foremost, if God be for us no one can be against us. Seriously, you know there is not much time so you must quickly get right with God so that the cancerous political situation can be solved by God.

It’s sad, but never before in my life have I been involved in politics and I personally accept responsibility for the condition of the politicians I let get elected, that is what I have been awaken to. It was a punch to my stomach. It was my fault, no one else’s; all mine. I asked God to forgive me and help me, help get God-loving, honest, moral, constitutional loving politicians elected. Many of us did that in our little city of Costa Mesa, California and you can do it where you live. We now have those kind of people sitting on our city council and in other positions.

If the liberal communist democrat party is in control of your local government find out how they are corrupting and damaging everything they touch and begin shout it from the rooftops, with facts, not hearsay, through an honest media. We still have the ability to be heard via the Internet, just like I heard all the people writing in the comment areas how we need to shoot and kill these bastards. I have no doubt, they are bastards and traitors. These bastards use the word racist against us, lets start using the word traitors against them. WASHINGTON – A ban on assault weapons will lead to “gun confiscation,” Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, today warned the Senate Judiciary Committee reviewing S. 150, the proposed “Assault Weapons Ban.”

In his opening statement, Grassley said that despite banning “assault weapons,” mass shootings will continue and “criminals will continue to circumvent” the law.

He predicted that after these current measures prove ineffective, “then we will continue to debate whether gun registration is needed and it will lead to gun confiscation.”

The senator reminded the committee that criminals do not comply with existing background check laws, and this type of legislation would punish lawful gun owners, rather than prevent crime.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., however, said the plan to ban a certain type of weapon “demeans the argument,” and the bill has nothing to do with confiscation.

Schumer said “all we are doing is extending the success of the Brady law,” claiming the 1993 act that instituted federal background checks “by almost universal agreement, has been extremely successful without any infringement upon lawful ownership.”

Majority Democrats on the committee then advanced S. 150 to the floor of the Senate, with all Republicans opposing the move.

Though Schumer said he supports the Second Amendment and is opposed to gun confiscation, in 2007 he voted against the Vitter Amendment to SA 2774, which would have protected American citizens from gun confiscation in the event of a national emergency.

Additionally, by resisting the Vitter Amendment, Schumer stood against a measure barring the United Nations from registering personal firearms in the U.S.

The specter of gun confiscation over the American people has increased. WND reported Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., in a Senate hearing last week asked Attorney General Eric Holder if an AR-15 might be a better defensive weapon at times than a shotgun.

Vice President Joe Biden several times has suggested in his advocacy of President Obama’s gun restrictions that people who need to defend themselves should buy a shotgun.

To Holder, Graham, said, “Let me give an example,” Graham began. “That you have a lawless environment where you have a natural disaster or some catastrophic event, and those things, unfortunately, do happen. And law and order breaks down because the police can’t travel, there’s no communication. And there are armed gangs roaming around neighborhoods.

“Can you envision a situation where if your home happens to be in the cross-hairs of this group that a better self-defense weapon may be a semiautomatic AR-15 versus a double-barrel shotgun?” Graham asked.

Holder dismissed the question, calling it a scenario from a “hypothetical” world.

Graham said facing such a threat, he would prefer an AR-15, and he disagreed with Holder’s suggestion that the scenario is removed from reality.

“Well, I’m afraid that world does exist. I think it existed in New Orleans, to some extent up in Long Island, it could exist tomorrow if there’s a cyber attack against the country and the power grid goes down and the dams are released and chemical plants are discharges,” he said.

Holder said, “I don’t think New Orleans would have been better served. … ”

Graham interjected: “What I’m saying is if my family was in the cross-hairs of gangs that were roaming around New Orleans or any other location, that the deterrent effect of an AR-15 to protect my family is better than a double-barrel shotgun, but the vice president and I have a disagreement on that.”

WND reported last month on the events in New Orleans following Katrina’s assault.

There, thousands of weapons – legally obtained and owned – were grabbed from citizens after New Orleans Police Superintendent P. Edwin Compass III announced: “Only law enforcement are allowed to have weapons.”

To make sure the message was loud and clear, the city’s Deputy Police Chief Warren Riley told ABC News: “No one will be able to be armed. We are going to take all the weapons.”

Then they did exactly that.

One man at a post-Katrina meeting assembled in conjunction with the National Rifle Association said: “The bottom line is this. Once they did it, they set a precedent. And what we’ve got to be sure [of] is that the precedent stops here.”

In a series of videos, the NRA documented the weapons grab by police in New Orleans with videos that show them physically taking weapons from individuals, including one woman who was stunned when officers threw her against her kitchen wall because she had a small handgun for self-defense.

The police actions – many of the victims describe the gun confiscation as out-and-out theft – left New Orleans’ residents, who had been prepared to stand their ground and defend themselves from thugs and looters running amok, completely defenseless.

Richard Thompson, president of the Thomas More Law Center, told WND such plans “start smacking of a non-The United States of America” and more of “some Third World country.”

The government, he said, appears to want ever more control over people’s lives, which “is crippling the ability of people to defend themselves … in situations like a Hurricane Katrina where the police were nowhere around and people were taking up arms to protect their property.”

He noted that since the U.S. Supreme Court has determined police do not have a constitutional obligation to protect people from crime, self-reliance often can be the key to survival.

Gun confiscation schemes, then, mean “we’re going to have a citizenry that is helpless in the face of lawless people.” And that, said Thompson, is unconstitutional.

Herb Titus, a nationally known constitutional attorney and law professor, told WND government’s claim always is that such draconian powers will only be used “in an emergency situation.”

But there are so many “emergencies,” he said, that “all of our rights are in jeopardy.”

“It’s typical of the government to do this, typical of this age. You see the government believes it can make the decision for you better than you can make it for yourself. There’s a lot of this from the Obama administration,” he said.

The result?

Government “as our master, rather than servant,” he said.

They knocked on the door and asked to come in. About 45 minutes later, they came away peacefully with three firearms.

California is the only state that tracks and disarms people with legally registered guns who have lost the right to own them, according to Attorney General Kamala Harris. Almost 20,000 gun owners in the state are prohibited from possessing firearms, including convicted felons, those under a domestic violence restraining order or deemed mentally unstable.

“What do we do about the guns that are already in the hands of persons who, by law, are considered too dangerous to possess them?” Harris said in a letter to Vice President Joe Biden after a Connecticut school shooting in December left 26 dead. She recommended that Biden, heading a White House review of gun policy, consider California as a national model.

As many as 200,000 people nationwide may no longer be qualified to own firearms, according to Garen Wintemute, director of the Violence Prevention Research Program at the University of California, Davis. Other states may lack confiscation programs because they don’t track purchases as closely as California, which requires most weapons sales go through a licensed dealer and be reported.

“Very, very few states have an archive of firearm owners like we have,” said Wintemute, who helped set up the program.

Funding Increase

Harris, a 48-year-old Democrat, has asked California lawmakers to more than double the number of agents from the current 33. They seized about 2,000 weapons last year. Agents also took 117,000 rounds of ammunition and 11,000 high-capacity magazines, according to state data.

“We’re not contacting anybody who can legally own a gun,” said John Marsh, a supervising agent who coordinates the sometimes-contentious seizures. “I got called the Antichrist the other day. Every conspiracy theory you’ve heard of, take that times 10.”

The no-gun list is compiled by cross-referencing files on almost 1 million handgun and assault-weapon owners with databases of new criminal records and involuntary mental-health commitments. About 15 to 20 names are added each day, according to the attorney general’s office.

Probable Cause

Merely being in a database of registered gun owners and having a “disqualifying event,” such as a felony conviction or restraining order, isn’t sufficient evidence for a search warrant, Marsh said March 5 during raids in San Bernardino County. So the agents often must talk their way into a residence to look for weapons, he said.

At a house in Fontana, agents were looking for a gun owner with a criminal history of a sex offense, pimping, according to the attorney general’s office. Marsh said that while the woman appeared to be home, they got no answer at the door. Without a warrant, the agents couldn’t enter and had to leave empty- handed.

They had better luck in nearby Upland, where they seized three guns from the home of Lynette Phillips, 48, who’d been hospitalized for mental illness, and her husband, David. One gun was registered to her, two to him.

“The prohibited person can’t have access to a firearm,” regardless of who the registered owner is, said Michelle Gregory, a spokeswoman for the attorney general’s office.

Involuntarily Held

In an interview as agents inventoried the guns, Lynette Phillips said that while she’d been held involuntarily in a mental hospital in December, the nurse who admitted her had exaggerated the magnitude of her condition.

Todd Smith, chief executive officer of Aurora Charter Oak Hospital in Covina, where documents provided by Phillips show she was treated, didn’t respond to telephone and e-mail requests for comment on the circumstances of the treatment.

Phillips said her husband used the guns for recreation. She didn’t blame the attorney general’s agents for taking the guns based on the information they had, she said.

“I do feel I have every right to purchase a gun,” Phillips said. “I’m not a threat. We’re law-abiding citizens.”

No one was arrested. Most seized weapons are destroyed, Gregory said.

“It’s not unusual to not arrest a mental-health person because every county in the state handles those particular cases differently,” Gregory said by e-mail. “Unless there’s an extenuating need to arrest them on the spot, we refer the case” to the local district attorney’s office, she said.

Not only did the White House disavow the GOP’s 10-year budget plan put forth by House budget chief Rep. Paul Ryan, the White House will not release its budget until early April, a pattern true to the form displayed over Barack Obama’s time in office.

White House press secretary Jay Carney verbally attacked Ryan’s budget, saying it would punish middle-class Americans, cut taxes on the wealthy, and “the burden is doubled or even tripled on everyone else.”

Carney claimed Ryan’s “voucherization” reform of federal programs, including Obamacare and Medicare, “does nothing to deal with the fundamental problem, which is rising health care costs, but actually exacerbates that problem.”

These statements are in direct conflict with Obama’s heavily publicized attempt to convince the public he is trying to work with GOP legislators, which includes dinner with a group of GOP Senators, lunch with Ryan and two visits to Capitol Hill.

The real hope is that Obama’s efforts will boost his poll ratings, which have fallen noticeably since Obama tried to stop sequester cuts to the 2013 federal budget through demonization of their effect and by impugning the GOP’s motives.

Ryan’s plan is actually a reduction in spending, and does not cut federal spending at all.  “On the current path, we’ll spend $46 trillion over the next 10 years [but] under our proposal, we’ll spend $41 trillion,” Ryan wrote in a Wall Street Journal article. “On the current path, spending will increase by 5 percent each year. Under our proposal, it will increase by 3.4 percent.”

The GOP would be well advised to proceed at their own risk with every one of their senses on full caution mode.

The current Oval Office occupant has displayed disingenuous intent on more than one occasion and there is no real evidence to assume that his “charm offensive” is anything other than a change in tactics.  The destruction of his political opposition remains the underlying strategy.

It isn’t a matter of whether the government bureaucrats and politicians understand the phrase “shall not be infringed” or not, but rather a matter of they don’t acknowledge the basic tenet of the Constitution or any of the Amendments in the Bill of Rights.

The reports are coming more frequently now. Karl Rove is taking aim at the TEA party. Conservatives in congress are being attacked on all fronts, most disturbingly by other Republicans. Establishment Republicans move repeatedly to the left. And the media, well the media has been going after us like rabid wolves since the dawn of time. The battle lines have been drawn. The first shots have been fired. We are at war with our own party.

     I know, we're not allowed to say that anymore. There's nothing new about using militaristic terms to describe political struggles. Although we are discouraged from doing so, even as the left continues the practice. Sara Palin is blamed for the shooting of Gabby Gifford just because Palin's staff drew crosshairs on a map. We are endlessly attacked and derided for using any word or phrase that could be seen as aggressive, no matter how commonplace. When you think about it, it's really a brilliant ploy, even if it is weaselly and two faced. How are we supposed to fight a war effectively when we aren't allowed to acknowledge that we're fighting a war? We see how well that worked in Korea. We soften our language to placate the leftist whiners and soon our thoughts follow suit. We let them pull our teeth and then wonder why our party becomes filled with moderates with no bark and no bite.

     Yet these RINOs are always happy to attack conservatives. Recently John McCain went after Rand Paul and Ted Cruz for having the nerve to do the jobs that they were elected for, and Karl Rove casts blame for election losses on the TEA party that should rightfully fall on him and his ilk. Not only were many of these unelectable Republicans that he cites as examples of TEA party interference moderate establishment types, most of them were funded by Rove.

     These are the same people what will nod enthusiastically when the left tells us that conservatism is a relic followed by only a small margin of the population. They'd have us forget how Barry Goldwater sparked the conservative movement by standing by his conservative ideals. And that Ronald Reagan energized the country and won two landslide Presidential elections, not by reaching across the aisle, but by refusing to compromise his conservative principles. They'd have us ignore how conservatives in D.C. have received support unprecedented in this generation by proudly advancing the conservative banner. Moving to the center hasn't helped us with Mitt Romney or John McCain. And it hasn't helped us with the 99% of Rove's candidates who lost their elections. Or with the others who refuse to fight the left once elected. No, the problem isn't that the Republican party has moved too far to the right, it's that the party is only now starting to move back to the right.

     And we're not immune from delusions either. I don't know how often I've been told that we need another Ronald Reagan to swoop in and fix things again. It's time to burst that bubble. As good as the rising conservative stars are, there isn't another Reagan. There never will be another Reagan. We're on our own. But before you slip back into the post election depression that we've all been trying to climb out of, remember that we're not wandering blind in the wilderness as some would suggest. Our message isn't falling of deaf ears, it's just been watered down by the moderates. Fiscal and social conservatism, commitment to shrinking government and growing the economy, encouraging personal responsibility and liberty, defending and following the constitution, are policies that have been proven right by history. These are the issues that will bring us victory in this civil war. These issues are our best chance of winning in the 2014 elections, as well as the big one in 2016.

     The establishment RINOs care only for their own power base. They're more impressed by the institution than the constitution. At stake in this war is the very soul of the Republican party. Just as in the overall war at stake is the very soul of America. Victory is our only option.

Some of you know that I am a dilettante in the field of what I call “Sociological History”.  All that really means is that I don’t have a degree in the field, but do try to study and learn from it.

 Sociological history is the study of the effects of society on governments and the world at large.  Something the governments of all ages tend to ignore, particularly those that are driven by the urge to power.

Most of the signs of the collapse of any culture are micro rather than macro.  It is not the riots and sit-ins that tell the tale.  One of the first signs is the populace’s loss of faith in their law enforcement and court system.  Think of Eric Holter and the 4^th, 7^th , and 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Think about the inroads the DHS has made from its beginnings as an information gathering agency.  Others are the inflation of the currency particularly coupled with increased taxation and increases of the ration of the productive to those on the public payroll and the debt being greater than the country’s Gross National Product.  Laws that attempt to sweep back the tide such as drug or pornography laws that can’t actually work and are seldom enforced.  Governmental attempts to outlaw certain sexual behaviors done in private between consenting adults such as prostitution, etc.  Does any of this sound familiar?

However the crowning thing in all of this that signals the near total collapse of ANY culture is RUDENESS.  A loss of consideration for others in minor matters.  A loss of gentle manners is more significant than riots.  This symptom is most serious in that the individual never thinks of it a sign of societal death, but as proof of his/her/their strength.

Once this last symptom becomes wide spread it has never been stopped short of the death of that culture.  Am I saying we don’t have a chance?  Actually, I am not.  You see, just as the health industry has progressed to the point of literally resuscitating the dead or near dead patient, we have developed a mechanism to revive our culture.  That mechanism is our unique and tested Constitution.  IF and I repeat, IF we can force our governing, elected officials to obey the rule of law for this country we can regain our unique cultural heritage.  If we cannot … we shall go the way of the various French ‘Republics’ and monarchies; of Marxism and Communism, even of the ancient Greek republic.  I wonder if we have the guts to do this.  As for now I despair.  I see even organizations bragging about being rude and crude, to say nothing of some elected officials that have been elected officials way too long.
