(1). A former campaign handler of Ron Paul who has recently deserted, having seen the handwriting on the wall, told the Washington Post that Ron Paul knows he is not going to win the nomination but he just wants to come in a strong 2nd or 3rd in the final nomination. This because, he believes that a strong runner up status will make the Republicans allow him to speak at the nominating convention, in addition to accepting some of his ideologies into the Republican platform. From Paul's perspective I can definitely see his thought process.

If the Republicans humor Ron Paul and allow him to speak at the convention, his speech better be limited to the Federal Reserve and/or downsizing of various departments. They would not be wise to let this loose canon have a microphone for more than five minutes.

(2). The past debate on Monday night from South Carolina hopefully showed Mitt Romney that if he does get the nomination he had better take the velvet gloves off and be in full attack mode ala, Newt Gingrich, who brought the house down at the debates a couple of times with his very blunt plain talking replies. In the final debate with Obama the Republican candidate better be in full agressive mode. Gingrich has shown he will  bloody up Obama, and Mitt Romney would need to leave his country club demeanor behind and do likewise if he is the one.

In sum, we have much to be hopeful for in the 2012 election. With gas prices going up again, sanction problems with Iran in additon to their nuclear ambitions, plus unemployment still stagnant, Obama can run on only demonizing whoever the Republican candidate is. He can't blame congress as he had the majority for the first two years of his illegitimate presidency.

If true-What’s disturbing about this picture?

Posted on News With Views-By Paul McGuire-On January 17, 2012:

In response to the criticism that came against the Clinton White House over foreign-linked contributions, Alvin and Heidi Toffler, the authors of Third Wave and Future Shock, defended the Clinton White House on the basis of a globalist philosophy they embrace.

The Toffler’s said: in a 1997 Los Angeles Times commentary entitled, Hat Passing the Global Economy:

Indeed the concept of foreign-linked funding is necessarily inappropriate is based on the obsolete conceptions of both sovereignty and nationhood. It is base on the idea that states have absolute sovereignty and that nations are closed systems. All of that is coming apart as we move into a global economy.

The Toffler’s go on to suggest that “transnational flows of political influence will increase.” They close the article by declaring, “For good or ill, it is time we recognize, that politics, too, like economics and information is going transnational.” According to the Toffler’s reasoning it is OK for a nation like Communist China to buy influence because we live in a global economy. What this really means is that our democratic republic form of government can be subverted by any foreign agent if they are willing to spend the money. What used to be treasonous is now acceptable, because after all the reasoning goes, “Everything is going transnational.” How many of our elected representatives and lobbying groups acting on the commands of foreign nations who can afford to buy politicians?

Make no mistake about it, this means the end of America as we know it, and the end of “We the people.” For centuries America has been unique among the nations because she has been a democratic republic built on Judeo-Christian values. Now America is being merged into a new form of global governance, which is no longer democratic and built on Judeo-Christian values. Instead of democracy we will be ruled by a secular humanist or occult elite that are building up a new world order, at lightning speed all around us. History shows us the results of what happens when the Illuminati elite rule. The Communist Manifesto was an Illuminati document. In Communist Russia, Communist China and other Communist nations hundreds of millions were killed and suffered under the brutal control of godless totalitarian state. There is a carefully concealed occult connection in the construction of these totalitarian states. The Russian occultist, Madame Blavatsky influenced Hitler, Stalin and the United Nations today. The Golden Dawn, the Thule Society, Satanist Aleister Crowley, the Bohemian Grove, Skull and Bones and countless occult leaders and groups have constructed a high-tech global matrix of power. These occult teachings were promoted by Nimrod during the world’s first global government, the Tower of Babel. They have continued on for thousands of years through the Egyptian Isis Priesthood, the Dionysian cult and the New Age Movement.

As I expose in my 3-DVD series, “Are You Ready for the Coming One World Government, One World Economic System and the Coming One World Religion?” which is available through NewsWithViews.com. This is the game plan of the powerful global elite which runs America under names like the Council on Foreign Relations. It is the Rockefeller plan of global government!

In an article entitled: “The Phony Right-Wing & Who is Selling Us Down the River? – Part 2: Newt Gingrich” by Kelleigh Nelson, Nelson writes:

“Alvin Toffler is Newt Gingrich’s mentor, so we need to take a closer look at what Toffler espouses in The Third Wave. By the way he never mentioned reading the Constitution and for good reason. He wants to be rid of it.

Toffler believes mankind is entering a new system. To the founding fathers in his book, he wrote, “For the system of government you fashioned including the very principles on which you based it, is increasingly obsolete, and hence increasingly, if inadvertently, oppressive and dangerous to our welfare. It must be radically changed… I thank Mr. Jefferson who helped create the system that served us so well for so long, and that now must, in its turn, die and be replaced.”

Gingrich, who swore an oath 10 times to uphold and defend the constitution urges with his mentor Toffler, the very death of the American Constitutional system...“ The Council on Foreign Relations, whose goal is one world government, controls the Democratic and Republican parties. Newt Gingrich is just one more establishment Republican, among many, who are for global government. It is almost predictable the amount of so-called conservative politicians who win the support of Evangelical Christians. But, these “conservative politicians,” are in fact globalists pushing a one world government.

We must remember that the global financial crisis is planned. Its purpose is to bring in a one world currency and a cashless society. The Illuminati slogan is, “Order out of Chaos.” The current global financial meltdown is a manufactured crisis! What is also accelerating is the coming one world religion, which is designed as a control system for the human race. In the Book of Revelation, we read about this one world government, referred to as the Revived Roman Empire and the one world economic system that culminated in mankind receiving a mark of the beast biochip implant.

This one world economic system is ruled by the False Prophet who also heads up a coming one world religion. It is my belief, after years of research, that when the term “sorcery,” is used in Revelation, it is referring to something far more high-tech and sophisticated then how most people translate the Biblical term sorcery today. Sorcery comes from the word Pharmakeia, from which we get the modern word pharmacy which deals with drugs. Legal and illegal drugs, music and the supernatural power to control others, is the usual interpretation.”

I. 10 reasons the U.S. is no longer the land of the free!

Is this America today and, if so, what's wrong with this picture?

Posted on The Washington Post-By Jonathan Turley-On January 13, 2012:

“Every year, the State Department issues reports on individual rights in other countries, monitoring the passage of restrictive laws and regulations around the world. Iran, for example, has been criticized for denying fair public trials and limiting privacy, while Russia has been taken to task for undermining due process. Other countries have been condemned for the use of secret evidence and torture.

Even as we pass judgment on countries we consider unfree, Americans remain confident that any definition of a free nation must include their own — the land of free. Yet, the laws and practices of the land should shake that confidence. In the decade since Sept. 11, 2001, this country has comprehensively reduced civil liberties in the name of an expanded security state. The most recent example of this was the National Defense Authorization Act, signed Dec. 31, which allows for the indefinite detention of citizens. At what point does the reduction of individual rights in our country change how we define ourselves?

While each new national security power Washington has embraced was controversial when enacted, they are often discussed in isolation. But they don’t operate in isolation. They form a mosaic of powers under which our country could be considered, at least in part, authoritarian. Americans often proclaim our nation as a symbol of freedom to the world while dismissing nations such as Cuba and China as categorically unfree. Yet, objectively, we may be only half right. Those countries do lack basic individual rights such as due process, placing them outside any reasonable definition of “free,” but the United States now has much more in common with such regimes than anyone may like to admit.

These countries also have constitutions that purport to guarantee freedoms and rights. But their governments have broad discretion in denying those rights and few real avenues for challenges by citizens — precisely the problem with the new laws in this country.

The list of powers acquired by the U.S. government since 9/11 puts us in rather troubling company.

Assassination of U.S. citizens:

President Obama has claimed, as President George W. Bush did before him, the right to order the killing of any citizen considered a terrorist or an abettor of terrorism. Last year, he approved the killing of U.S. citizen Anwar al-Awlaqi and another citizen under this claimed inherent authority. Last month, administration officials affirmed that power, stating that the president can order the assassination of any citizen whom he considers allied with terrorists. (Nations such as Nigeria, Iran and Syria have been routinely criticized for extrajudicial killings of enemies of the state.)

Indefinite detention:

Under the law signed last month, terrorism suspects are to be held by the military; the president also has the authority to indefinitely detain citizens accused of terrorism. While the administration claims that this provision only codified existing law, experts widely contest this view, and the administration has opposed efforts to challenge such authority in federal courts. The government continues to claim the right to strip citizens of legal protections based on its sole discretion. (China recently codified a more limited detention law for its citizens, while countries such as Cambodia have been singled out by the United States for “prolonged detention.”)

Arbitrary justice:

The president now decides whether a person will receive a trial in the federal courts or in a military tribunal, a system that has been ridiculed around the world for lacking basic due process protections. Bush claimed this authority in 2001, and Obama has continued the practice. (Egypt and China have been denounced for maintaining separate military justice systems for selected defendants, including civilians.)

Warrantless searches:

The president may now order warrantless surveillance, including a new capability to force companies and organizations to turn over information on citizens’ finances, communications and associations. Bush acquired this sweeping power under the Patriot Act in 2001, and in 2011, Obama extended the power, including searches of everything from business documents to library records. The government can use “national security letters” to demand, without probable cause, that organizations turn over information on citizens — and order them not to reveal the disclosure to the affected party. (Saudi Arabia and Pakistan operate under laws that allow the government to engage in widespread discretionary surveillance.)

Secret evidence:

The government now routinely uses secret evidence to detain individuals and employs secret evidence in federal and military courts. It also forces the dismissal of cases against the United States by simply filing declarations that the cases would make the government reveal classified information that would harm national security — a claim made in a variety of privacy lawsuits and largely accepted by federal judges without question. Even legal opinions, cited as the basis for the government’s actions under the Bush and Obama administrations, have been classified. This allows the government to claim secret legal arguments to support secret proceedings using secret evidence. In addition, some cases never make it to court at all. The federal courts routinely deny constitutional challenges to policies and programs under a narrow definition of standing to bring a case.

War crimes:

The world clamored for prosecutions of those responsible for waterboarding terrorism suspects during the Bush administration, but the Obama administration said in 2009 that it would not allow CIA employees to be investigated or prosecuted for such actions. This gutted not just treaty obligations but the Nuremberg principles of international law. When courts in countries such as Spain moved to investigate Bush officials for war crimes, the Obama administration reportedly urged foreign officials not to allow such cases to proceed, despite the fact that the United States has long claimed the same authority with regard to alleged war criminals in other countries. (Various nations have resisted investigations of officials accused of war crimes and torture. Some, such as Serbia and Chile, eventually relented to comply with international law; countries that have denied independent investigations include Iran, Syria and China.)

Secret court:

The government has increased its use of the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which has expanded its secret warrants to include individuals deemed to be aiding or abetting hostile foreign governments or organizations. In 2011, Obama renewed these powers, including allowing secret searches of individuals who are not part of an identifiable terrorist group. The administration has asserted the right to ignore congressional limits on such surveillance. (Pakistan places national security surveillance under the unchecked powers of the military or intelligence services.)

Immunity from judicial review:

Like the Bush administration, the Obama administration has successfully pushed for immunity for companies that assist in warrantless surveillance of citizens, blocking the ability of citizens to challenge the violation of privacy. (Similarly, China has maintained sweeping immunity claims both inside and outside the country and routinely blocks lawsuits against private companies.)

Continual monitoring of citizens:

The Obama administration has successfully defended its claim that it can use GPS devices to monitor every move of targeted citizens without securing any court order or review. (Saudi Arabia has installed massive public surveillance systems, while Cuba is notorious for active monitoring of selected citizens.)

Extraordinary renditions:

The government now has the ability to transfer both citizens and noncitizens to another country under a system known as extraordinary rendition, which has been denounced as using other countries, such as Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Pakistan, to torture suspects. The Obama administration says it is not continuing the abuses of this practice under Bush, but it insists on the unfettered right to order such transfers — including the possible transfer of U.S. citizens.

These new laws have come with an infusion of money into an expanded security system on the state and federal levels, including more public surveillance cameras, tens of thousands of security personnel and a massive expansion of a terrorist-chasing bureaucracy.

Some politicians shrug and say these increased powers are merely a response to the times we live in. Thus, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) could declare in an interview last spring without objection that “free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war.” Of course, terrorism will never “surrender” and end this particular “war.”

Other politicians rationalize that, while such powers may exist, it really comes down to how they are used. This is a common response by liberals who cannot bring themselves to denounce Obama as they did Bush. Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), for instance, has insisted that Congress is not making any decision on indefinite detention: “That is a decision which we leave where it belongs — in the executive branch.”

And in a signing statement with the defense authorization bill, Obama said he does not intend to use the latest power to indefinitely imprison citizens. Yet, he still accepted the power as a sort of regretful autocrat.

An authoritarian nation is defined not just by the use of authoritarian powers, but by the ability to use them. If a president can take away your freedom or your life on his own authority, all rights become little more than a discretionary grant subject to executive will.

The framers lived under autocratic rule and understood this danger better than we do. James Madison famously warned that we needed a system that did not depend on the good intentions or motivations of our rulers: “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.”

Benjamin Franklin was more direct. In 1787, a Mrs. Powel confronted Franklin after the signing of the Constitution and asked, “Well, Doctor, what have we got — a republic or a monarchy?” His response was a bit chilling: “A republic, Madam, if you can keep it.”

Since 9/11, we have created the very government the framers feared: a government with sweeping and largely unchecked powers resting on the hope that they will be used wisely.

The indefinite-detention provision in the defense authorization bill seemed to many civil libertarians like a betrayal by Obama. While the president had promised to veto the law over that provision, Levin, a sponsor of the bill, disclosed on the Senate floor that it was in fact the White House that approved the removal of any exception for citizens from indefinite detention.

Dishonesty from politicians is nothing new for Americans. The real question is whether we are lying to ourselves when we call this country the land of the free.

Those Tea Party extremists

On Sunday’s NBC Meet the Press, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that he sympathized with the American people’s frustration with Congress. He went on to say that it was due to the “obstructionism on steroids” caused by the Republicans and the extremist Tea Party.
“I hope the Republicans have learned their lesson” Reid continued. The debate on the extension of the payroll tax deduction was “a disaster” for the Republicans (http://bit.ly/yzZa5x).  In that debate, the president and the Democrats proposed, and finally received, a two month extension. The Republicans proposed, and folded on, a one year extension. The problem here was that the liberals, supported by the main stream media, control the dialogue. Somehow, wanting to extend a tax deduction for a full year was turned into a bad thing for the American people and only wanting to extend a tax cut for two months was the more reasonable position.
Harry went on to say that the art of legislation was negotiation and compromise. So, it is the Democratic position that if they propose further spending or a new program, and the Republicans don’t want it at all, it is our responsibility to compromise. That assumes that the creation of the program is a given, it is really just a matter of working out the details. It is further assumed that if the Republicans don’t fall in line, we’re being obstructionists. It is more “extreme” that one party, and the president, will continuously increase spending and grow government at the expense of liberty than it is to attempt to prevent it.
Reid continued by stating that the Tea Party’s influence has been “really bad for this country” (http://bit.ly/yzZa5x). With the national debt currently at $15,241,210,000,000, and over $5 trillion of that added since Obama took office, it is inconceivable how he can consider that good for the country. And, as if that wasn't enough, Obama has asked Congress to authorize another $1.2 trillion raise in the debt ceilling. But, he, and his liberal compatriots do. Because they control the debate, it is the Tea Party and our desire to return this country to our founding principles, small, sound and accountable government that is labeled “extreme”.
By contrast, it is these same liberals that sympathize with the Occupy Wall Street movement. That wave of protestors are supported by the American Communist Party, SEIU, big labor, and socialists. The OWS has a basic Marxist message empower the government to redistribute wealth from the producers in this country to the recipient class.

Even Congressman Bill Owens (D-NY23) said that the Occupy Wall Street movement was “just like the Tea Party” in their protests at a town hall meeting at SUNY Canton in October. This is despite the fact that there have been numerous violent confrontations with police, rapes, assaults, drug use, thousands of arrests and a near universal disregard for private property rights at the OWS protests and not one arrest at any Tea Party event. Yet, we are the extremists?
Harry Reid thinks the Tea Party is dying out because the economy is getting better. First, the economy is not getting better. When Obama was sworn in, the unemployment rate was 7.6% (http://bit.ly/z9CwEg).  It is now 8.5% (http://bit.ly/eT9opV)  and has been over 9% for the majority of Obama’s presidency. The Democrats controlled the presidency, the House of Representatives and the Senate for the first two years of his administration. They were able to force through every progressive policy they wanted with a total disregard for the Republicans or the American people. So, despite all of the rhetoric, despite the $785 billion stimulus, cash for clunkers, Obamacare, green job initiatives, the take over of GM, etc, the unemployment rate is still higher now than at Obama’s inauguration. Yet, because the progressives and liberals control the message, we’re told “the economy is getting better”, the Republicans are “obstructionists” and the Tea Party are the “extremists”.
Harry now says his agenda for next year is creating jobs. So far, no less than three times, the president has stated that creating jobs was his top priority. If the liberal progressive agenda was ever going to work to create jobs, the unemployment rate would be lower now than when he took office. It isn’t. Their agenda doesn’t work and won’t work this time.
On being “obstructionists”. Between the House, the Senate and the president, there are 536 people that can pass laws coercing 300 million Americans at the threat of punishment to comply with their mandates. This process should be hard. It should be slow and deliberate with much debate and thought and consultation with us, We the People. If that means we need to be obstructionists, all the better.

A Tea Party Next Step

The Tea Party marches were an uplifting and highly successful National effort. Now that our president is moving toward dictatorship and the OWS are so lauded, thanks to the media, fresh Tea Party Marches may be thwarted by OWS infiltration. The media, the dictator and the dems, like Nancy Pelosi blame the Tea Partiers and the Republicans for the Nation's problems, which THEY actually caused. Our Tea Party Marches need to be stepped up with Tea Party Parades. Volunteer groups must get together and Parade with flags and drum music. As a youth, in gym class and ROTC in college, I learned to march Right, Left, Right and Left face, Right Face, About face. Our parading with flags will catch the eye of the Nation. The large flags will show our citizenship and the drums and bugles will show that we are patriots.  Tri corner Patriot hats are available on the internet. We could wear these hats. If we are attacked our flag poles will be handy. If we all parade together we will be able to do something as a group, that OWS can't, so they will not join in. We will become more physically fit and show that we are deeply concerned for our Nation! Every city and town would have to have a Tea Party Volunteer to organize the parading in their area.  I will volunteer for my area of Maryland. Lets prepare to show America what the Tea Party actually stands for - The Constitution and Bill of Rights.  Competent Presidential Management, Smaller Government and Individual Rights.

Please let me know what you think!

Health Care REform - The True Savings

The article below was written by Paul  Krugman, Nobel Peace Prize winner in economics.Maybe he knows what he is talking about. It needs reforming; not destruction.

My wife and I were thinking of going out for an inexpensive dinner tonight. But John Boehner, the speaker of the House, says that no matter how cheap the meal may seem, it will cost thousands of dollars once you take our monthly mortgage payments into account.

FUNDAMENTAL ERRORS IN THE CONSTITUTION

THAT ONLY YOU CAN FIX

THE STATES AND THE PEOPLE

The Constitution was created by the States and the People.  It formed a Federal Government of specified and limited powers with all other responsibilities left to the States and the People.

But who will keep the actions of the Federal Government from expanding beyond those specified by the Constitution?  It is certainly not the President, Congress and the Court.  It is in their personal interests to expand their roles, regardless of their Oaths to support the Constitution.  The history of the past two centuries certainly proves this point.

Today, we must face the obvious.  The only parties that can limit the powers of the Federal Government are those who created it, the States and the People.

THE FOUNDERS INTENTION

Originally the Senate was to be the States House.  Each Senator was selected by his State’s Legislature.  His first responsibility was to keep Federal role from expanding into those left to the States by the Constitution.  This arrangement was destroyed by the fundamental error of the 17th Amendment.  Electing Senators by popular vote left the States defenseless against the Unconstitutional expansion of Federal powers.

Congress was to be the Peoples House.  Each Representative was selected by constituents of his District.  His first responsibility was to preserve the Individual Liberties of his constituents from infringements by the Federal Government, thus leaving to the individual most of the decisions that directly impact his life.  Unfortunately, political realities have intervened to sabotage the essential link between Representative and Constituent.

MONEY TALKS

The fact that the Constitution authorizes pay to Senators and Representatives from the Treasury of the United States is another fundamental error, although innocent in appearance.

Senators whose first responsibility is to check expansion of Federal powers into those relegated to the States, should logically be paid by the States whose interests they are charged with defending.  We all serve most dearly the hand that signs our paycheck.

Representatives whose first responsibility is to resist Federal encroachment into Individual Liberties of their constituents should logically be paid by the constituents they represent.  We all serve most dearly the hand that signs our paycheck.

With their pay coming from the central government, they become creatures of the Federal Government with a built-in motivation to preserve, protect and defend their paymaster.  It can be no other way.

MONEY SCREAMS

With the advent of television, the cost of a Congressional reelection campaign is near a million dollars and the cost of a Senatorial reelection campaign can reach ten to twenty million dollars.  Most approach the office with the hope of serving more than one term, and of perhaps making the office a well paid and influential lifetime career.  Their future influence and prosperity therefore requires them to make fund-raising for reelection their primary activity; ahead of preserving the Individual Liberties of their constituents and ahead of checking the expansion of Federal powers.

Even if you are a patriot determined to protect and defend the Constitution, you must begin by hustling for reelection money or you will not remain in office.

Lobbyists representing the largest corporations and unions will be your best friends and will help you with your fundraisers.  With this access they will lobby against regulations and taxes that could destroy their industries and their union influence.  They must have a Washington DC presence to defend their interests because they know the Federal Government has the power to destroy them.  But having established contact they will also exert their influence to obtain tax breaks (over 60,000 pages of them), industry subsidies and regulations that favor their interests.  They will convince you that these measures are in the public interest and in return you will be well positioned for the next election.

The cost of reelection and the necessity for large corporations and unions to defend their interests creates the dominant web of corruption that is endemic to our institutions of government.  While serving your reelection, this arrangement also preserves, protects and defends the corrupting influence of large corporate and union interests.  It leaves small business neglected and leaves Individual Liberties and Constitutional Limits on the power central government ignored.

STATES AND THE PEOPLE TO THE RESCUE

  1. Repeal the 17th Amendment, thereby returning the appointment of Senators to the State Legislature.  This will restore the ability to the States to resist expansion of the central government authority beyond that specified by the Constitution.  It will also eliminate the need for the costly reelection campaigns that presently corrupt the Senate.
  2. Provide Federal financing of all election campaigns for the House of Representatives with equal funding for both incumbents and challengers.  Place a limit of $200 on all contributions to Congressional election Political Action Committees (PACs), so PAC activities do not completely dwarf those of the actual campaign.
  3. Require payment of Congressional Representative Salary and all office costs by the constituency represented.
  4. 4.  Eliminate all perks hitherto provided by the central government, free air travel and limousines as well as subsidized health insurance and retirement benefits.  Any and all perks must come exclusively from the States and the People.

This will not eliminate all Washington corruption.  Nothing can.  But it can help free our government from dominance by corruption and put the States and the People in effective control of the Federal Government as the Constitution intended.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalm 1:1

We will be reminded over the weekend of the Greatnes of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His accomplishments are numerous and his influence seemingly immeasurable. The youngest to receive the Nobel. An award of great notice until recently trifled in popular recognition with the selections of Barack H. Obama (2009) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. (2007). Maybe when Beowulf returns, we can scratch their names from the trophy case! His orations cast him amongst the world's preeminent Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan and William Faulkner [Delivered one of the world's great speeches for his Nobel Prize. Talk about deserving what you get!]. His writings have become required reading in universities and high schools throughout the US. Dr. King was never elected or appointed to public office yet, his influence was tremendously impacted legislative leaders. His leadership gave courage to Republican Senators and Congressmen, at the time the minority party, to push through legislation overriding America's "Jim Crow" laws. They won't show this in school but, this is the outcome of the vote:

The original House version:

  • Democratic Party: 152-96 (61%-39%)
  • Republican Party: 138-34 (80%-20%)

Cloture in the Senate:

  • Democratic Party: 44-23 (66%–34%)
  • Republican Party: 27-6 (82%–18%)

The Senate version:

  • Democratic Party: 46-21 (69%–31%)
  • Republican Party: 27-6 (82%–18%)

The Senate version, voted on by the House:

  • Democratic Party: 153-91 (63%–37%)
  • Republican Party: 136-35 (80%–20%)

Al Sharpton claimed on his show that Democrats supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Doesn't seem like the Democrat Party was as influenced by Dr. King as the Republican Party. Al Sharpton won't tell ya that. Painfully, the labor entrenched public schools fail to teach history and excel in teaching revisionist history. Community organizers in the classroom have no problem miseducating children and adults on voting rights. Often, minorities are told that without the 1964 Civil Rights Act they would not be able to vote in the United States. The Patriotic teacher would take the opportunity to advise that all minority voters are protected, since Reconstruction, under the US Constitution's 14th Amendment. The union teacher--the most to lose from an educated minority populus--without shame provokes the paranoia of the student by affirming that the 1964 Act "guarantees" the right to vote and that only one Party--the Democrat--will protect that right. Irresponsible? Yes. Effective? Yes. When corraling a people is essential, one's methods are never questioned. I suppose Rev. Al has been miseducated enough to know that it was Herman Cain that first accused Blacks of being brainwashed and not Malcom X. Today's Ron Paul is yesterday's Malcolm X.

What others won't disclose is that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a rewrite of President Dwight Eisenhower's 1957 Civil Rights Act. The common denominator for each: Lyndon Baines Johnson. The 1964 Civil Rights act enforces the constitutional right to vote, confers jurisdiction upon the district courts of the United States of America to provide relief against discrimination in public accommodations, authorizes the Attorney General to institute suits to protect constitutional rights in public facilities and public education, extends the Commission on Civil Rights, prevents discrimination in federally assisted programs, establishes a Commission on Equal Employment Opportunity, and other purposes. Nowhere in this act does it give you the right to vote. The Radical Republicans in 1868 satisfied that barrier. So what of this 1957 Act? It prohibited intimidation, coercion or otherwise interfering with the rights of persons to vote for the President and members of Congress. The Attorney General of the United States "may" [sic] institute actions, including injunctions and charges of contempt of court, with fines not to exceed $1000 and six months imprisonment. There are also extensive safeguards for the rights of accused under this statute. Federal judges were permitted to hear cases related to the act with or without juries. Not being able to vote in most of the South, blacks were also excluded from juries. President Eisenhower was bitterly disappointed with the bill. He advised that he wanted a stronger and more enforceable piece of legislation, "I wanted a much stronger civil rights bill in '57 than I could get, But the Democrats . . . wouldn't let me have it." Why is the "may" so important? Three letters: LBJ. Let's explore why the Father of the Great Society supported the 1957 Act. The Senate Majority Leader advised:

"These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again."

The Senate leader, Lyndon Baines Johnson, was a Democrat, and recognized that the Civil Rights bill traveling through Congress, would rent his party in two: right wing Southern senators and liberal West Coast senators. Don't worry LBJ! I think we have the picture. The real reason was ambition. LBJ knew he would run for President someday. He needed a bill that was pro-civil rights to appeal to potential allies of the Democrat Party and weakly enforceable that he may keep his Majority Leadership and maintain appearances with the strong Southern contingency. The public, at a loss of confidence, became less supportive when Eisenhower openly admitted that he did not understand parts of the bill. Score one for LBJ! By the way, who signed the 1964 Act? Eisenhower? Nixon? Kennedy? Nah, it was the uppity Negroes best friend: LBJ.

"Weel about and turn about and do jis so,

Eb'ry time I weel about I jump Jim Crow."

I must applaud the Democrat Party. They are so wise. More than 400 state laws, constitutional amendments, and city ordinances legalizing segregation and discrimination were passed in the United States between 1865 and 1967. Western states routinely passed discriminatory legislation against Asians and Native Americans, passing 51 Jim Crow laws, 12 percent of the nation's total. Outside the South, California passed more Jim Crow laws (17) than any other state in the country. Jim Crow induced Blacks to leave the South for The Warmth of Other Suns. In 1910, the African-American population of Detroit was 6,000. The Great Migration, and immigration from eastern and southern Europe, turned the city into the country's fourth-largest. By the start of the Great Depression in 1929, its African-American population had climbed to 120,000. More than six (6) million Blacks left the South. The economic tragedy is simple to relate. By 1910, it is estimated that Blacks owned fifteen (15) million acres of land in the South. Modern African-American rural landowners possess a total of approximately 7.7 million acres of land, less than 1% of all privately owned rural land in the United States, valued at $14 Billion dollars. Think about how much wealth and inheritance was lost thanks to the Jim Crow Economy. How's that Union job at Hostess working for ya? Through intimidation and later, dependency, the Democrat Party convinced 90% of Black America that a single political party could protect them from "the evil doings" of the Radical Republicans, the greed of corporations and their shareholders and the "ever enduring" stigma of slavery. I can hear the Jim Crow Dems speaking, "Listen, we aren't talking about race but I know the Republicans brought it up and they don't want to apologize. They were always against you."

The term Jim Crow is believed to have originated around 1830 when a white, minstrel show performer, Thomas "Daddy" Rice, blackened his face with charcoal paste or burnt cork and danced a ridiculous jig while singing the lyrics to the song, "Jump Jim Crow." Theologian Howard Thurman described "Jim Crow" laws in this manner to his daughters:

"The measure of a man's estimate of your strength is the kind of weapons he feels that he must use in order to hold you fast in a prescribed place."

You see the Dems were just having a little fun expressing how different whites were from blacks. Yeah, the DEMs pulled out some other stereotypes to keep the party going with sleight of hand "You see, wese gonna shows you what the Republicans be thinking about you really!" Ever building the case for a second class status in the Republican Party composed of a racially disdaining group of elitists, the DEMs pulled out all of the stops by adding some characters from their psychological warfare cabinet: Sambos, Coons, and Zip Dandies. By the way, Black conservative, when were you last called one of these names by your smitten and irate Democrat brethren? Yes, even Dr. King suffered such expresson from Black leaders of his day. All in fun of course!

Dr. King was an ordinary man who made extraordinary decisions that produced exceptional results. While we rage in battle over the fact that Dr.King was a registered Republican, he no doubt felt an allegiance towards the Democrat Party. Author Stephen Oates, Let the Trumpet Sound: A Life of Martin Luther King, Jr, wrote, "I feel someone must remain in the position of non-alignment, so that he can look objectively at both parties and be the conscience of both—not the servant or master of either." However, his body may have been in the Republican Party with his father, Martin L. King, Sr. but his mind was on the Democrat Party. Dr. King, Jr. always made it clear that he was not Dr. King, Sr. In part, Sr. King agreed with the elders of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference that it was ok for Jr. King to be a national or even regional leader. However, the black clergymen agreed that he needed to stay out of "Atlanta's business". Let me be the first to report to you that Men of the Cloth are still men. They were jealous and cautious of Dr. King's popularity and influence. Jr. King referred to them as an "envious old guard". They did not want him changing things in Atlanta proper. In an attempt to quell the massess, the established Negro Leadership, I'll refer to them as Atlanta's Talented Tenth a la W.E.B. DuBois, had an agreement with the established white leadership, including Mayor William Hartsfield and Police Chief Herbert Jenkins. The agreed with a gradual and peaceful process of desegregation in the BIG ATL. Each group agreed that Jr. King was a threat and decided to keep him out. This propelled King Jr. to search for a "liberal" white brother in the battle to put down the pretentiousness of political correctness and execute moral leadership. He saw that in John F. Kennedy.

Given past baggage in former Vice-President Richard Nixon's and Senator Kennedy's background, he saw the latter as a better Presidential choice. He went as far to say that he planned on endorsing him in 1964. It would have been the first time that King, Jr. had endorsed a candidate. The affinity and adoration the two had in public discourse is questioned in the Presidential actions of Kennedy. According to the National Black Republican Association, Kennedy, lauded as a proponent of civil rights, voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Senator Al Gore, Sr. He was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, in order to undermine Dr. King, through his brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy, had the civil rights leader wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist. Clayborn Carson et al, The Papers of Martin Luther King, Jr: Symbol of the Movement, January 1957 – December, 1958, captured the thinking of many modern conservatives, especially Black, that call themselves Independents, with this quote from Dr. King, Jr.:

Actually, the Negro has been betrayed by both the Republican and the Democratic party. The Democrats have betrayed him by capitulating to the whims and caprices of the Southern Dixiecrats. The Republicans have betrayed him by capitulating to the blatant hypocrisy of reactionary right wing northern Republicans. And this coalition of southern Dixiecrats and right wing reactionary northern Republicans defeats every bill and every move towards liberal legislation in the area of civil rights.

He, like many of his day, had given up on the Party of Lincoln and surrendered to the Party of Jefferson Davis to promote and produce results born of universal truths. The road well traveled may have produced the catalysts needed for victory. However, is it the change of promise idealed by Frederick Douglas and Booker T. Washington? Or have we produced the field of dreams envisioned by Karl Marx, WEB Dubois and lawyer, revolutionary politician Vladimir Lenin? You thought I was going to say Barack Obama didn't you? Dr. King felt the pangs of success and failure within and without his race. He felt the tremors of success from within and from without his political party. Considering the icon requires an earthened look at his influnces and what has come to pass for the sake of America. .

Many of our bretheren have been duped and made afraid to exit false modern movements because of their duplicity of thought. Dr. King was already a leader of a multi-racial, American populist cultural movement that sought vindication and legislative remedy for the racial injustices of society. Movement leaders that coerced Dr. King to attend the 1963 March on Washington needed him more than Dr, King needed them. They were a school of American liberalists seeking approval and a means of fully infiltrating the Black community. American liberalists composed of unions attempting to cover years of discrimination with a zealous oureach to Black workers, left leaning.community organizations and alternative lifestyle proponents needed an icon to hitch their wagon. Fashioned by radical thinkers like Sol Alinsky, the organizations sought validity, acceptance and empowerment from a traditionally conservative yet abused community. Each had their own agenda but could mask their threats in the universal suffrage of Black Americans. I can imagine people sitting in a dark, musty room smoking cigars and agreeing to support one another because each has what the other needs.

"Yeah, I was born this way like you were born Black. Gay Rights is the same as Voting Rights!"

"A Living Wage. Listen, all you are missing is a piece of the government. Help me get the living wage and I will help you with affirmative action."

"You know your people, eh excuse me, I meant, "Our people" are struggling with the church stopping women from controlling their bodies. You help with abortion rights, eh I mean Women's Rights then, we'll be down with the cause."

What did we receive in return: Detroit and other modern urban metrolpolitans! Some alliances prove more unsightly than the treasures of the cause pursued.

Detroit is a Socialist city teetering on the edge of cultural bankruptcy. "So what does this have to do with Dr. King, Ken!? You know I am already mad at you for not bowing down and worshipping at the image of the Great Civil Rights Leader." Firstly, we have enough rock remaining to build a statue for Booker T. Washington, Harriett Tubman and Malcolm X. Secondly, you don't spit in te wind and you don't ask the Communist Chineese government to build a statue of Dr. King. Amazing what American Union Labor won't volunteer to do! Finally, it's sited near the FDR statue (All Blacks love FDR!) and is facing the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial. Who was in charge of putting this plan together? I

digress. While he preached of a colorless society, his leanings towards liberality secured a sense amongst the Black electorate that vigilante politics was an acceptable framework of voting. Vigilante politics is composed of three principles: (1) racial preference; (2) party preference and (3) economic preference. Personal Responsibility is one the most laudable tenets of conservatism. The term personal, at least in its Old French origins, yields no wiggle room for the faint at heart. During the 14th century, the term meant "pertaining to self". The German playwright Johann Wolfgang von Goethe advised, “Let everyone sweep in front of his own door, and then the whole world will be clean." This is not the case in liberal politics. Vigilant electors feel the need to elect not "from their own" but "from their own kind". Hence, while affirmative action is sought in employment and contracting, it is frowned upon in elections. If a white man that shares your belief and possesses the skillset to govern is running against a black man that shares your belief and lacks the skillset to govern then, you choose the latter rather than the first. Your budget may suffer and mandates made law but "at least he's got my best interest at heart." The second is party preference. It does not matter! There is only one party that understands what I've been through so I must choose that one. Principles are unimportant, only Party really matters. Last, economic preference. When given the choice of supply side and demand side, always choose demand side economics. To the vigilant electorate, there will never be enough goods because a few people that produce them are hoarding them. We need our stuff and we need it now. When I am unable to be satisfied, I believe that the goods maker should be punished. Raise his taxes. Create rules that will slow-up his success. Since I am so poor and weak, I will demand that the government act as my agent and force the producers to meet my need. That'll show'em!

For urban America, vigilante politics has ruined budgets, economic growth and taken liberties from families and individuals. A Great Case for this is Detroit. I will succinctly consider each of the Vigilante points in establishing the failure of such governments. Mayor Dave Bing, Democrat, had advised his popolus in December 2011 that the city was experiencing some spending pressures but nothing they could not handle. After an audit, the city was only in the red by $67 million . By January 2012, there are concerns that the city may not be able to meet May 2012 payroll. Who's responsible? Detroit governs by way of a strong mayoral system. All tickets are punched by the Big Cheese in the leather chair. However the budget is approved by the city council. Let's get over points one and two at once. The council is all black and all are Democrats. Apparently, there are no other races living in Detroit and certainly, no Detroit City Republican Party exists. Point three: economic preference. You would hope in a tremendous area of trade and factory production that many members of your city council would understand and promote supply side economics where possible. You would hope there is no dependency on government at all with its ports and huge involvement in domestic and foreign trade. Tcha, you know what? No! Mind you, Motor City councilmembers are compensated at $73,000 per annum. Our first guest on Vigilante Elections: Charles Pugh. Elected President becomes he received the most votes, what a qualifier, Pugh was a television journalist and radio personality. All the signs of a fiscal policy hawk. The electorate chose him despite a late campaign controversy when he acknowledged that he was struggling financially and his $385,000 condominiium was in foreclosure. I understand, things happen. Guest two: Gary Brown, former Deputy Police Chief. Public Safety. Great! Financial Strength: Part of a $8.4 million whistle blower's suit against Detroit. He won. It gets better! Guest three: Saunteel Jenkins. Foreclosure. Jenkins owed $167,000 on her mortgage and decided to walk away. Three years salary and it's paid off. Guest four: Kenneth Cockriel, Jr. Former Wayne County Commissioner. He must now how to manage a budget. Well, he is also the son of a self-proclaimed Marxist-Leninist! Well Ken, apples do fall from trees! Yeah, but this one bounced back! He served on the committee that awarded Van Jones "The Maurice Sugar Voice for Justice Award" for "Human Rights Activists and Green jobs Advocate". Yeah, that Van Jones!

There must be someoone on the Council will management experience taht will lend itself to a supply side economy with limited government. The good people of Detroit must be crying out for smaller government and lower taxes especially after all of the pain of GM and Chrysler being bought out by Obama Motors. Guest five: Brenda B. Jones. She's the former President of Communications Workers of America. Member of the NAACP and the Michigan Coalition for Human Rights. She can certainly recognize a special interest. She also served on the committee that awarded Van Jones"The Maurice Sugar Voice for Justice Award" for "Human Rights Activists and Green jobs Advocate". Yeah, that Van Jones! Guest six: Andre Spivey. A Morehouse Man. Like Dr. King. He did not serve on the Van Jones Committee. However, Ponsella Hardaway did. Why does this matter? Hardaway is the Executive Director of MOSES. Spivey sits on the Board of MOSES. It is the Metropolitan Organizing Strategy Enabling Strength and its purpose is to act on issues that have a systemic impact on the quality of life in the community and social justice. They believe in the Equitable allocation and distribution of public funds. MOSES, not the one played by Charleston Heston, is affiliated with Gamaliel Foundation. Barack Obama was trained by the Sol Alinsky-founded Gamaliel Foundation. This is the Foundation that is fighting against Wisconsin legislation that would make it illegal to pay a person to sign a petition. Wow, a Christian organization fighting for Voter Fraud. No collection here! This church is paying! Guest seven: James Tate. his campaign material made it very plain: PRO-UNION! He understands teh importance of unions. Guest eight: Councilman Kwame Kenyatta faced foreclosure and walked away in 2008. He had more important things to do like meet with Venezuela's envoy to the United States, Ambassador Bernado Alvarez Herrera. He was joined by JoAnn Watson (she will be our last guest), Brenda Jones, Kwame Kenyatta, Martha Reeves and Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to discuss how to expand his country's programs that help the poor. By the end of the evening, the Detroit councilmembers had convinced the Ambassador that they were the needy ones. The Ambassador announced a new program to extend the free eye surgery begun by Cuba to the US Midwest. O goody, have a pop and a smile! The Cubans with the help of the Venezueleans are bringin their health program to our shores. It's probably covered under ObamaCare! Who else was in attendance to celebrate the outpouring of help from one socialist nation to a socialist city? Howabout the International Action Center (IAC). Per the website: "The IAC strives to draw from the leadership, connect the struggles, and bring together communities of color, women, lesbian, gay, bi and trans people, youth and students, immigrant and workers' organizations in order build a progressive movement for social justice and change. Ultimately it is our goal to work towards the liberation and freedom of all peoples living in the U.S. and around the world. IAC defines itself as an "anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist" organization." Just what the motor city needs, a people committed to shutting it down. Not finished! Howabout Latinos Unidos / United de Michigan (LUUM)? While their site is no longer operative, it was once reported that their goal was "to inform about the inhumane raids, home intrusions, racial profiling and other atrocities perpetuated by the Federal Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (FBICE) upon our immigrant communities in Michigan and throughout the US". Maybe that is why Detroit is a sanctuary city. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Detroit has got to be the exception to the rule. There has to be someone on the Council that understands that liberal good intentions inflate costs and expenses for a city. Michigan's preliminary review found that the city had failed to adjust annual budgets in the face of declining revenues and/or increased expenditures, has recurring fund deficits of more than $100 million and failed to file an adequate or approved Deficit Elimination Plan. The state says the city has budgetary shortfalls that could lead to a negative cash balance as early as April, 2012.There must be someone that understands the kinetic framework of free markets and seeks only the best for small businesses America's wealth creation machine. Uh Uh! Our final guest: Jo Ann Watson. The Michigan activist is an unrepentant socialist. She has sponsored more than 1,000 bills. Her bonafides include serving as Executive Director of the Detroit NAACP, Public Policy Liaison for Congressman John Conyers and Co-Founder of the Coalition for Health care Equity. She presented her book Reparations to Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama. She is sponsoring two Detroiters to study Medicine in Cuba and then, return to provide care to the City. She has a relationship with the Pro Cuban/North Korean Workers World Party. From June 14-17 2009, the Moratorium NOW!-initiated People's Summit was held at Grand Circus Park, Detroit, MI. A "tent city" was built at the location, and protesters camped there for four days of "Active Resistance, Political Discussion and Strategizing for a “People's Stimulus Plans” and an “Economic Bill of Rights” for Working People and the Poor." Moratorium NOW! is a Workers World Party-front organization. Do you really believe that these vigilante politicians have the citizens best interests in mind. I doubt it sincerely.

The Civil Rights Movement and the Dr. King icon are inseparable. How we see him will be based on which cultural philosophy we subscribe. If a modern American liberal (socialist, Marxist, communist, etc.) then, you will refer to his commitment to Theodore Roosevelt's preference for human welfare over property rights, Woodrow Wilson's call for limited government through government expansion and federal control, Franklin Roosevelt's Second Bill of Rights, John Kennedy's dreams of eradicating the human condition through government welfare and Lyndon Baines Johnson's welfare and bust legislated programs. Union leaders and race-baiting community organizers will point to his convictions on voting rights, gay rights, abortion rights and government entitlement. If a conservative, like his neice Alveda King, you wonder how the liberals were able to high jack the symbolism of universal, unalienable rights granted every man by his Creator from the iconic speaker. You can not recognize such a liberal Dr. King from all of the made for TV movies! You refer to his dire need for a multi-racial approach to harmonizing protests of injustice even as his bretheren lose faith in his "human race" concept. He expounded upon American values to include the vision of a color blind society in his 1963 speech "I have a Dream". His inspiration for one of the most beloved speeches in human history: Archibald Carey, Jr.'s address to the 1952 Republican National Convention and Prathia Hall's speech at the site of a burned-down church in Terrell County, Georgia in September 1962. We will be reminded that he was a great civil rights leader as evidenced by his efforts on the 1965 Montgomery Bus Boycot. The transit boycott of National City Lines, owned by General Motors, Standard Oil of California, Firestone and others is endeared by union leaders and race organizers as a political and social victory. As a conservative that appreciates the beauty of free markets, I recognize the brilliance of the financial starvation of a major corporation that monopolized city services due to a local government's decision to pick a winner. It really goes to show that the greatest threat of the Movement was not political or social but economics. Bet your child won't hear that in history class!

Nearly fifty years after his death, Dr. King is an enigma to many who only know the broad strokes of his life.. Doesn't the Poor People's Campaign of 1968 reveal flashes of Occupy Wall Street brilliance. Weary from his shunning by radical blacks, leftists community organizers and egalitarian sympathizers, he attempted to broach the immorality of war appropriations and Jim Crow segregation with federal government intervention. His frustration with an America that was not reacting quickly enough to a crisis led him to trust a political and economic philosophy that would not offer the Utopia sought or preferred. Dare say, maybe it was the only one available as literary critic Lionel Trilling once asserted.

In the United States at this time Liberalism is not only the dominant but even the sole intellectual tradition. For it is the plain fact that nowadays there are no conservative or reactionary ideas in general circulation. This does not mean, of course, that there is no impulse to conservatism or to reaction. Such impulses are certainly very strong, perhaps even stronger than most of us know. But the conservative impulse and the reactionary impulse do not, with some isolated and some ecclesiastical exceptions, express themselves in ideas but only in action or in irritable mental gestures which seek to resemble ideas.

Resist the impulse. Isn't this a tenet of non-violence? There were those that used his gift and his grace to increase in the daily lives of Americans prescribed general welfare and subsidy. A southern gentleman and scholar, grounded in the radical conservatism of his heritage and yet transformed in his "weary years" to a liberal icon without much clout amongst those that shaped his very image. In the end, American liberalism co-opted the Civil Rights Movement, the Black Economic Power Movement and our Political Aspirants. It also failed its greatest Peace icon.

In Defense of Ugly War

4063435359?profile=original

January 15, 2012

"It is well that war is so terrible -- lest we should grow too fond of it." *Robert E. Lee*

They're dead, kaput, blotto, room temperature, pushing up opium poppies. DEAD!  Hey, maybe good old American brand urine helps to ward off blow flies and dung beetles. Really, how does a young Marine peeing on a guy he has just killed make the dead guy any more dead? Frankly, Marines, having won a victory in combat, marking that victory with a group leak on the bodies of their vanquished enemies is about six degrees more virtuous than anything you would see at at university frat party.

The images of four, young  United States Marines piddling on the carcasses of Taliban soldiers has seemingly ignited a firestorm of indignation across the globe. I assert that the "indignation" is feigned; a pathetic attempt by high-level politicians and media twits to appear politically correct and oh, so apologetic to Afghan sensibilities. Inwardly most Americans are cheering the act of young men who just won a victory in battle behaving like young men who just won a victory in battle.  The "sadness" expressed by John McCain is a load of hooey. Leon Panetta's knee-jerk call for a probe  into the urinating incident is political posturing from an administration sympathetic to our Islamic extremist enemies.  I don't need to go into the depth of depravity and danger presented by Taliban goons. I am simply defending young men being young men.

The Marines in question won a death defying fight against foes who would kill them in an instant, and their mothers, and their children if they had any, and would enslave their wives if they happened to live in Afghanistan. But above and beyond the victory over a depraved group of enemy combatants, this was the act of soldiers making the point that their enemies suffered a final and ignominious defeat.

Some have called this an "act of desecration."  The word "desecration" infers that something sacred has been violated. There is nothing sacred about the Taliban whom were justly taken out by our Marines. These young Marines were desecrating nothing.  They were simply warning others that an ugly fate awaits those who defy American forces.  The apparent ugliness of peeing on the bloody remains of an enemy is actually a pretty good deterrent to future acts of aggression by an adversary. Good old American brand urine may actually, in the long run, save lives.

Robert E. Lee stated that "It is well that war is so terrible -- lest we should grow too fond of it." It is a good thing that war is ugly. The sanitized and tentative war fought, not to win a decisive victory, but to minimize civilian casualties, is also the protracted, expensive, bloody, destructive, futile war.

Let victory be what it is, especially victory over a particularly venal enemy. Our military servicemen and women are in what is called "combat" on a regular basis. That means that there are grotesquely bad guys out there who will use any and all means to kill them, including strapping an explosive belt on a child and sending said child out as bait to the good guys who have an instinctive compassion for children. Islamic extremists use American tolerance and compassion against our soldiers, and our system of government.  When those bad guys kill our good guys, they will not only urinate on the bodies of dead Americans, they will drag them through the streets, separate their heads from their torsos, light them on fire, hang them from bridges, and pull them to pieces before a delighted audience of women, children, old men, and video cameras which will then upload the images of dismembered Americans to be broadcast on Al Jazeera and Youtube.

War necessitated by the actions of national enemies from whom the United States must be defended is not immoral. Men and women who fight and kill in the name of their country are not committing wrongful acts. They are conducting themselves morally within the framework of national conflict in a contest between good and evil, freedom and oppression, life and death. It is not wrong to fight to win an authentic war, in all its blood, dirt, pain, and intensity. It is wrong to pretend that war is not war. Brothers and sisters, we are at war. Marines marking a victory by humiliating further their adversaries, dead and living, by urinating on their corpses is no more than an exclamation point to the sentence of death to barbaric and bloodthirsty foes.

Did American’s Loose Their Will For Liberty?

Could this be true in America today?

Posted on News With Views-By Pastor Roger Anghis, NewsWithViews.com-On
January 15, 2012:

“I have seen over the last 50 years a growing lack of willingness of the population to be involved in current events. My late step-father forced me to keep up on current events. He was a legal immigrant from Greece and served in WWI and WWII. He almost never talked about his native country because they had gone so far to the left. His new home was America and that’s what he talked about. He told me the proudest day of his life was when he received his citizenship. He knew from experience that the average citizen had to pay attention to what government was doing or the government would begin to ignore the people and do what they wanted to do. We are there!

Citizens no longer pay much attention to what our politicians do and because of that we have lost many of the rights and privileges that our Founders spilled their blood for. I remember thinking to myself about hearing some of the things that government was trying to do and thought that that could never happen in America. Then I woke up. It not only could, but it was happening right before my eyes. When I began to study how this was happening I found that most people no longer pay attention to what Washington is doing.

There used to be a day when men and women conducted their lives and businesses with honor and integrity. A man’s word was his bond. I’m old enough to remember the tail end of those days. One of my grandfathers only had a 4th grade education but he was a licensed, self taught electrician and engineer. He designed and installed all the irrigation systems 20 mile on each side of the Grand Coulee Dam, which he helped build. He never worked off a written contract. It was a hand shake. Many of his jobs were in the tens of thousands of dollars but he was never given the ‘short end of the stick’. Even the people he dealt with were honest people.

America has been known as the land of opportunity to the world. America always has been and will continue to be the land of opportunity as long as we, the American people continue to demand that our politicians, business owners and individuals alike live by the character examples set out by our Founders. It is only those character traits that will keep America the land of liberty. Without an honest character there can be no true liberty.

Here are a few quotes from the Founders concerning character and how they placed a man’s character above everything:

Andrew Jackson - Any man worth his salt will stick up for what he believes right, but it takes a slightly better man to acknowledge instantly and without reservation that he is in error.

Benjamin Harrison - The indiscriminate denunciation of the rich is mischievous.... No poor man was ever made richer or happier by it. It is quite as illogical to despise a man because he is rich as because he is poor. Not what a man has, but what he is, settles his class. We can not right matters by taking from one what he has honestly acquired to bestow upon another what he has not earned.”

Daniel Webster - I apprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe... Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger.

James Madison - ‘We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for Self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to The Ten Commandments of God. John Quincy Adams - Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.

George Washington - “Associate with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for it is better to be alone than in bad company.”

John Adams - “Judges, therefore, should be always men of learning and experience in the laws, of exemplary morals, great patience, calmness, coolness, and attention.

Their minds should not be distracted with jarring interests; they should not be dependent upon any man, or body of men.”

Noah Webster - “In selecting men for office, let principle be your guide. Regard not the particular sect or denomination of the candidate—look to his character.”

Patrick Henry - Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is impossible that a nation of infidels or idolaters should be a nation of freemen. It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains. A vitiated state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom. No free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue; and by a frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.

Sam Adams - He who is void of virtuous attachments in private life is, or very soon will be, void of all regard for his country. There is seldom an instance of a man guilty of betraying his country, who had not before lost the feeling of moral obligations in his private connections.

These men would have not stood for a member of the House of Representatives making the statement that they pay no attention to the Constitution when they write bills as did Rep. Pete Stark, a Democrat from California, did a few months back. Those words should have caused him to be arrested and tried for treason. No one did anything.

Our Founders designed a government that was to remain small. They knew that a large central government would end up being very controlling. We have allowed our government to become what our Founders did not want and even warned us about. Little by little we have allowed the government to encroach into our lives. They tell us what kind of food we can eat. They tell us when, where and how we can worship our God. They tell us what kind of cars we can drive. They tell us IF we can build a house on the land that we own. They tell us how big that house can be. All of these things were not part of the plans of the Founders. They were actually the things that they fought to be free of. They did not believe that any of those areas should be controlled by government.

The Tenth Amendment to our Constitution states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” Deciding whether we should drink raw milk or pasteurized milk was never a part of the government’s definition of responsibilities, but they have taken that responsibility. Our First Amendment was designed to keep government out of our religious activities but now they tell us that we can pray here but not there and it has to be this kind of prayer and you can’t mention the Name of Jesus in it either. The government has no right nor does it have the authority to make that kind of a law, but they have taken that authority. But we’ve allowed them to take away our rights. We have seen our legislators grabbing a little more power with every session. I view every bill Congress proposes. I see one party, Democrat, that continually introduces bills that tax more, encroach into our lives more, regulate our private lives and our businesses more and push for a socialistic society. One person was talking to Ted Kennedy and stated that communism has never really been successful. Kennedy looked at him and stated: ’That’s because they haven’t had me to run it.’

Before you get all over me about ‘bashing’ the Democrat party let me state a few things. First, I used to be a Democrat. I came from a long line of Democrats. But I paid attention to what they were doing and after Jimmy Carter realized that the Democrat party was NOT out for the benefit of the American people. It was for power. Power for the Democrat party. Second, the Democrat party has allowed itself to be taken over by socialists. Norman Thomas, a socialist who ran for president six times under the Socialist Party of America made this statement: “The American people will never knowing adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened. I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.” (Emphasis mine)

How did this happen? The same way we had 70 members of the Democrat Socialists Party in Congress in 2008. All but one of them are in the Democrat Party. Sixty nine of them in the House of Representatives, where all the spending bills originate and one Independent in the Senate. We voted them in because we did not look at their character. We did not pay attention to who they are or what they stood for. We have an avowed Marxist in the White House. Don’t write me letters about that either. I won’t read them. He says he’s a Christian but the so-called Christian church he attended for twenty years taught Black Liberation Theology, which is now where in scripture and has its foundation in Marxism. He cancels the day of prayer at the White House yet holds celebrations for the muslim holiday Ramadan. Christians don’t celebrate muslim holidays while ignoring Christian holidays.

America must wake up. America must begin to hold their elected officials accountable to the Constitution. America will no longer be America if, in this next general election, we don’t begin to make some changes in Washington. Big changes! The NDAA bill passed and signed into law effectively eliminates our Fourth Amendment. Ninety three Senators voted for that bill. All ninety three should be impeached for violating the Constitution. Obama should be impeached for signing it. But nothing has been done. Now Congress is working on an even more dangerous bill, “Enemy Expatriation Act.” Google it and see what you come up with.

Our nation was founded on individual freedoms, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Today the federal government is attempting to control us from the cradle to the grave ignoring the federal governments constitutional limitations. They tell us that we have to buy insurance, what kind we can buy and what kind of coverage we will have. If we are too old, you won’t get the medical care you need. That is NOT the America the Washington, Adams and Jefferson established.

re we seeing the last of the American experiment simply because people are too lazy to demand moral people of high character be elected? Yes! Will that trend continue? I hope not. I hope that what Obama has done to America and the threat to our great nation has become so obvious that we will look more closely at those we put in authority over us. If we don’t we might as well turn out the lights because it will be over.

I cannot help but think about what Daniel Webster said concerning the integrity of our nation. “I apprehend no danger to our country from a foreign foe... Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter. From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger.” (Emphasis mine)

The fate of America is in our hands.

The Tebow Effect

4063435088?profile=originalDenver Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow is an unapologetic, outspoken born-again Christian.  No politically correct, careful not to offend anyone, skirting around the issue of his faith for Tebow.  When interviewed after winning a game, Tebow says, "First, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

Numerous pro athletes are Christians.  None have been so innocently bold about expressing their faith as Tebow.  It is as if when Tebow entered the national stage, he never got the memo sent by the left stating that God is banned from the public square, and anyone who dares speak of God will be branded a religious nutcase.  Tebow simply loves Jesus and sees no reason to hide it.  Thus, the left hopes that Tebow fails as a quarterback and a role model.

Oh, I just got a thought.  Wouldn't the mainstream media be celebrating and rallying around Tebow if he proclaimed that he was in love with and planned to marry a fellow teammate?  Imagine the major TV network bidding war for the rights to broadcast the wedding nationwide.

Meanwhile, the left has deemed Tebow proclaiming his love for Jesus offensive.  A blogger called Tebow the most polarizing figure in America.  Several TV shows promote homosexuality.  Another TV show promotes Islam.  And yet, Tebow mentioning Jesus is considered polarizing.

Tebow is not polarizing/dividing people.  Tebow is bringing people together.  Remarkably, Tebow fans are all races, ranging in ages from eight to eighty.

Folks, I am telling you.  There is something uniquely special about this fine young man, Tim Tebow.  Cultural rot is eating away at our country like a terminal cancer.  Our boys aspire to look and act like thugs.  Women are dressing themselves and their daughters without modesty.

Unintentionally and, I believe, unknown to him, Tebow appears to be leading a movement toward a miracle cure: returning Christian values and principles from many years of exile.  More and more pro athletes and politicians are boldly speaking about their faith on national TV.  We are witnessing the birth of The Tebow Effect.

Tebow is making it cool to be a "good guy" again.  He has sparked a national dialog in the secular arena regarding faith.

Christian broadcasting networks do a wonderful job.  But rarely these days do we see anyone speak as comfortably and as matter-of-factly about his faith as Tebow in "secular" settings.  Tebow is not trying to start a movement, nor is he trying to offend.  The kid is simply being himself, and people are following his example.

God is so awesomely cool.  The Bible says God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise.  Who could have imagined that God would use something as foolish as a twenty-something-year-old kid, playing football, having fun, and being himself, to inspire millions?

Tragically, many Americans have accepted incidents of terminating a sixty-year tradition of opening their town's spring festival or city council meeting with prayer because one person complained.  Many have accepted their children being forced to say "happy winter break" because "Christmas" is declared to have offensive religious connotations.  At secular events where prayer is allowed, clergy are cautioned to refrain from using the name of Jesus for fear of offending someone.  Yes, the left has done a pretty good job of intimidating Christians into not honoring Jesus in secular settings.

Then, along comes this superstar football player cheerfully spouting the name of Jesus all over the place.  The anti-Christian crowd who thought they had us Christians securely under their thumb are furious.  Who does this Tebow guy think he is, and does he know the rules?

I believe that Tebow is passively leading us back to a time when all things Christian were not attacked, demeaned, ridiculed, or made fun of.  Many years ago, secular companies produced movies like Boys Town, in which Father Flanagan was the hero.  Nowadays, though, can you name a recent movie produced by a secular company which features Christians in a positive light?  Remember the grief Mel Gibson caught from the anti-Christian community for following the biblical account of events in producing his movie, The Passion of The Christ?

When I was a kid, my family loved watching the Red Skelton TV comedy show.  Skelton would end every show saying, "Good night and may God bless."  Today, letters from a few non-Christians claiming to be offended would prompt the show producers to instruct Skelton to cease ending his show with a "prayer."

Tebow represents a paradigm change -- a new sense of freedom to say "Praise God!" in secular settings.  I love it!

The 2nd district has been split.  the mostly unpopulated  (conservative) part of the 2nd has been redistricted to become the 1st.  John Koster is now running pretty much uncontested there.

The remainder of the 2nd district mainly liberal is still needing someone to run against Rick Larson.  Any ideas?

I Pee On Dead People

Pissing on Corpses – I wish our President would have the guts to tell the world this:

Don’t make me come over there! When we land, we are going to shoot anyone and everyone who resists us. We are going to piss on every corpse, and then were going to take a dump in your city hall, right on the Governor chair. We are going to teach your people to smoke cigarettes and love Rock N Roll. We are going to take all the minerals out of your soil, drain all your oil reserves, drink all your water, eat all your food and take anything of value back to America.

We are going to take your currency and burn it in the town square, drink all your alcohol and teach birth control to your society so ‘your people’ will come to the point of extinction in one generation. Then we are going to teach English to everyone in your nation and make them dependent on America for everything, including the air they breathe. But of course we won’t stop there. We are going to fill your streets with hundreds of thousands of bicycles ridden by students from the LDS Church. They’ll go to every door, ring every bell, then I’ll send in the Baptists ….and that is only the first wave of our troops.

So…. If I were you, don’t me come over there! Got it! Any questions?"

If America would have taken a position like this along time ago we would have saved a lot of lives. I guess everyone has forgotten the term: 'DON'T TREAD ON ME'
