Obama's Power

In a recent discussion about the current state of affairs in America, I came to the realization that our current administration’s power stems, almost entirely, from two things: the mass media and the fact that true American patriots are spread out across the country, with no easy way of uniting together.  I firmly believe that without these two things, President Obama and Co. would have no power to continue to ravage the Constitution and exercise their tyrannical government.

Mass media, in today’s world, essentially controls much of the American populace, through manipulation and sleight of hand. By choosing what news to report, as well as how to report it, they manipulate the American people like puppets. It goes without saying, then, that these same media sources would be an incredible ally to anybody who shares their extremist agenda. Due to his extremely liberal views, President Barack Obama is naturally the perfect man for such a job. Together, over the last five years, and even longer, Obama and the mass media have shaped the “news” that is reported, in order to ensure that it serves to promote their cause.

One conspicuous example of this method of picking and choosing what the public hears is the recent argument over gun control. They have used the horrible shootings in Aurora, CO, and New Town, CT, as a driving force in their unconstitutional push for extreme gun control. However, these same news outlets conveniently failed to mention the fact that, three days later, an off-duty police officer foiled a would-be mass-murderer in San Antonio, TX; or the shooting at an Oregon mall, where the murderer was stopped by a citizen with a concealed carry permit. Or, a few years ago in TN, when armed Sullivan Central High School security officer Carolyn Gudger held a gunman at bay until police arrived. The only casualty was the gunman, who was shot by police officers after refusing to lay down his gun. The overwhelming majority of Americans has never heard of any of these and many other stories of good, correct uses of our Second Amendment rights. The reason why is obvious: the liberal media chooses what to show the American people. The liberal media chooses what many Americans think and believe.

The other source of Obama’s power, while less obvious, is equally important: the lack of unity among true, red-blooded Americans. This is not to say that we are not united in a common goal, a common frame of mind, but rather that the physical separation is where the trouble lies. We see what is happening to our country, and yet we cannot act on it. After all, what can one, five, even ten people do to change a country? As the saying goes, there is strength in numbers. If there were some way, then, for the millions of American patriots to organize a resistance against an unconstitutional regime, imagine the power we would wield. Imagine the difference we could make.

Action plan for the 2014 Elections

I've commented before about the need for us to get on top of the 2014 elections immediately; there are many Congressional districts where good conservatives either have a fighting chance or where a conservative challenger needs to be identified and supported in next year's GOP primaries.  The first step in that process is to assess the 2012 election results and the resulting representation district by district in every state.

In the image below I've done that for my home state of Arizona, which has 9 Congressional districts.  (My apologies if it's hard to read; I'm far from expert at this sort of online thing!)

In the 2012 elections, two formerly Republican districts (1 and 9) ended up with a Democrat representative because the Republican candidate lost votes to a Libertarian 3rd party candidate.  In both cases, the losing Republican appeared to be a fairly strong conservative.  Why, aside from arrogance, ideological perfectionism, or deliberate sabotage, did there need to be a Libertarian candidate in these races?  The GOP committeemen covering this district need to be working with local Libertarian party leaders to gain their backing for good candidates.  Surely Tea Party members in those districts have a role to play here.

In two other races, the losing Republican was a solid conservative who lost by a very slim margin.  With just a little more energetic door-to-door support, these candidates might have won their races.  These districts need to be high priorities for the Arizona Tea Party; we need to work with the local committeemen to get more legs and faces out on the streets to better support these candidates.

Finally in district 4, we have a Republican who won in a huge landslide, but who has a rather poor voting record as a conservative.  This--a strongly Republican district with a moderate incumbent--is a good opportunity for a Tea Party challenge in the next primary.

With some hard work, good candidates, and a little luck, it's conceivable Arizona's House contingent could be turned from a humiliating 5 to 4 Democrat majority to a 7 to 2 Republican majority--and conservatives to boot.  That may be too good to imagine, but anything is better than what we're stuck with now.  We need to take victories where we can get them, and keep trying where at first we don't succeed.

I'm in district 5; my representative is a good conservative.  I'll do what I can to help in those other districts where opportunities exist.  I encourage my fellow Tea Partiers to take similar initiative in their own states, identifying districts where opportunities exist and taking action on those opportunities.

Help Wanted: New Generation of Founding Fathers

This is an open letter to a new generation of founding fathers who I hope will stand up and “pledge their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor” to the cause of a restored Republic of the United States of America.  I am asking for leaders to lead; people with wealth, name recognition, and the trust of We the People to lead us into a revival of  the liberty once known by citizens of America.  It is time for a political party to represent the disenfranchised in both political parties and the Independents who have been disenfranchised for a very long time.

Who is right and who is wrong?

I’m a disabled WWII veteran with a story to tell. When I was 17, I volunteered for aviation cadet training. I was enticed by signs with a picture of a P-40 flying into the wild blue yonder.  I took a long written test, underwent physical and mental examination, and produced three letters of recommendation from non-family members. I was accepted and handed a pin that said I was an air cadet. The minute I was 18, I was inducted.

I was told no more air cadets were needed at the moment. That wasn’t the deal. I was told that I’d be sent to college for five months to study navigation and math and then sent to an airfield for basic training. Should I wash out, I’d be made an aircraft mechanic or gunner.  I was sent to England and reassigned an officer’s servant, to make officers’ beds and clean their toilets. I trashed the officers’ quarters. My commanding officer ordered me transferred to the infantry and sent to the front.  No American combat boots with Neoprene soles were available. I was issued a pair of British combat boots with hobnails. The Germans were hobnail boots. On my first night at the front my own troops fired at me. They handed me a pair of American combat boots from a dead soldier.

I told this story to a Tea Party discussion group. I retired colonel responded by stating that during wartime insubordination is a capital punishment offense. Isn’t that what was intended? They sent me to the front wearing hobnail boots.

This story continues.  I wrote the U. S. Attorney General a letter stating that insofar as my income tax was concerned it was unconstitutional. The government put me out of business. He forwarded my letter to the IRS. The IRS illegally taxed me. I petitioned the Tax Court. Four years later my case came up for trial. Before the trial started, the IRS admitted that it had been mistaken. The Court ordered that the mistake be corrected and the case was closed.

The IRS reassessed me and charged four years penalty and interest. The IRS confiscated my money to pay a tax it admitted was mistaken. I appealed to the U S Court of Appeals. The Court ignored the theft of my money and held that federal income tax is constitutional. I appealed to the Supreme Court. The DOJ told the Court that the IRS made a mistake but that it had been corrected, a bald-faced lie. The Court refused to hear me. I complained to the U. S. District Court. The court decided to hear me. The DOJ then told the court that the IRS made a mistake. My money was refunded. Case closed. The IRS went to my bank and took every cent in my bank account.

I’ve given the Tea Party direct quotes from the Bible and my take on what they say. Christians have been quick to correct me. I’m wrong about every last thing I’ve revealed in this Tea Party. Shame on you. You people don’t know whether you are afoot or horseback. You are responsible for your country going to the dogs. You are going to pay for this.

Remember Katrina

(Info Wars) – Guntersville (Ala.) Mayor Leigh Dollar is working with city officials to pass an ordinance that would give police the power to “disarm individuals” during a disaster, a chilling example of how the second amendment is being assaulted via the back door.

I have spent the past week or so doing research to write a blog on the dangers involved in the current government's spending policies and the effect they will have on each of us.  Then I received this email from The Sovereign Man, aka Simon Black.  I will still write that blog at a later date but Mr. Black has stated it so well and with a different approach than I am planning that I wanted to share his comments with you.  The following is the Email I received in toto:

By 1789, a lot of French people were starving. Their economy had long since deteriorated into a weak, pitiful shell. Decades of unsustainable spending had left the French treasury depleted. The currency was being rapidly debased. Food was scarce, and expensive.

Perhaps most famously, though, the French monarchy was dangerously out of touch with reality, historically enshrined with the quip, "Let them eat cake."

The Bourbon monarchy paid the price for it, eventually losing their heads in a 1793 execution.  But it took the French economy decades to finally recover.

Along the way, the government tried an experiment: issuing a form of paper money. It didn't matter to the French politicians that every previous experiment with paper money in history had been an absolute disaster.

As French Assemblyman M. Matrineau put it in 1790, "Paper money under a despotism is dangerous. It favors corruption. But in a nation constitutionally governed, which itself takes care in the emission of its notes [and] determines their number and use, that danger no longer exists."

Translation: This time is different. We're different. We're smarter. We won't suffer the same fate. TRUST US.

Within a few years, hyperinflation had taken hold in France. A measure of flour that sold for two francs in 1790 was selling for 225 francs by 1795. Everything soared. Carriage hires. Butter. Sugar. Everything.

Naturally, the French government decided to fix this problem by printing even more money, doubling the money supply from 7 to 14 billion units in a six-month period.

When these measures also failed, the French government imposed every control in the book-- price controls, capital controls, information controls, people controls. They confiscated lands, they filled the prisons, they waged genocide against their own people.

History shows there are always consequences to entrusting a paper money supply to a tiny handful of men. The French experiment is but one example. Our modern fiat experiment will be another.

Like the French, our politicians think this time is different. Our central bankers think they're smarter. And they want us to trust them. After all, what could go wrong?

Ben Bernanke, a man who has expanded the Federal Reserve balance sheet by nearly 300% during his tenure as central banker, just wrapped up Congressional testimony downplaying the risks of his own money printing:

"We do not see the potential costs of the increased risk-taking in some financial markets as outweighing the benefits of promoting a stronger economic recovery..."

It's also quite interesting that the Federal Reserve Chairman is discussing the 'stronger' economy, especially when by the government's own numbers, US GDP contracted in the 4th quarter of 2012. Meanwhile the price of everything from food to fuel keeps getting higher.

Simultaneously, politicians in the US are racing to avoid imminent 'sequestration' budget cuts. They've created a problem caused by excess spending, and their solution is to ensure they can keep spending.

The French were in the same boat in the 18th century. During the time of Louis XV, no one could imagine how French society could possibly function if they cut the welfare system or defense budget. So they kept spending... kept going into debt... and kept debasing the currency.

We know what happened next.

The US already must borrow money just to pay interest on the money they've already borrowed. The political elite is dangerously out of touch. This time is not different. Assuming otherwise is really dangerous.

THE OBAMA CRAP JUST KEEPS STACKING DEEPER!
4063667796?profile=original

This is such a 'crock-of-garbage' & lies! Obama is well indoctrinated by the Democratic-crap and doctrine that they all rally around, every time there is an opportunity to gather at the flag-pole! It is evident that he is again experiencing or suffering from selective memory loss. NOW he swears that it wasn't his idea to implement sequestration over one and half (1-1/2) years ago, which is recorded on DVD. The statistics have all been made up by his team of handler's. Just another example of scare tactics to keep the unsuspecting and naive that the sky is falling in upon us again. It's time to round up the support base.

Bull Feces

Will somebody please explain this Sequester "stuff to me? I have several questions.

First, think about this..........

With actual spending going UP, why is the sky falling?

  • Both SIDES!
  • Even though both sides have admitted that the massive, self-imposed cuts will be devastating to the country's economy, neither of them have taken true and meaningful action when it comes to actually doing anything about the impending cuts.

Why, with $15 Billion MORE spending, will the economy die?

Why, with $15 Billion MORE spending,  will hundreds of thousands of jobs be lost?

Why, with $15 Billion MORE spending, will National Security disintegrate?

Why, with $15 Billion MORE spending, will National Parks go down the tubes?

Why, with $15 Billion MORE spending, won't politicians tell the truth?

I smell something!

I am very angry at the Christian community for sitting on their butts because they could not vote for a Mormon. As with many Christians, they are arguing about what the dog has said as opposed to saying "Hey! why is the dog talking in the first place?

We have a communist regime in the White House and if these communist criminals should happen to succeed in disarming law-abiding citizens, you know, the Patriotic Americans who would give their lives so the Christians can comfortable sit and preach fluffy words in freedom and without fear. If the communist regime succeeds, they will come after the Christians first, that is their ultimate goal. Any political talk from the pulpit should be, we Christians need to neuter Obama, not try to work with him. I used to push for impeaching Obama but then we’d end up with Biden and I’m afraid that would be far worse.

Do the Christians realize that Christians and Communist will never live in peace together, I don't care how much you trust in God to protect you. Have you ever noticed it's always the living that trust and believe God will protect them. Do believe that any of the people murdered by a communist regime trusted in God to protect them? Let's ask them what they think about trusting God. Oh wait, we can't. Because some communist or criminal dirt bag had a gun and they did not.

The Christian community is completely confused on what real trust in God actually is. As far as I am concerned the Christian community has utterly failed to stand watch over our Constitution and protect the rights of all citizens under it's jurisdiction. Yes, I am also guilty of the same thing, but I’m now working to reverse the outright destruction of our Constitution. The Constitution has become my Bible, so that should explain where I’m coming from. The Bible is not the supreme law of America as many Christians believe, the Constitution is the supreme law and that’s by God's design. However, George Washington said, “it is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible. The Christian community better get it through their heads, as opposed to a bullet, the Constitution is what gives them their courage to actually spend time with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Let same Christians preach this non-issue crap in Iran and lets see what happens. If any of you Christians are offended by my words, get over it. I’m more offended that many Christians sat on their warm pews and allowed a Communist to be re-elected. Romney may have not been the best for America, but at least he wasn’t a communist and hell-bent on destroying America.

Nero Obama

The Emperor Nero, had a compulsion to be in front of crowds of people who worshiped him like a Movie star or Rock star today. He was a crowd pleas-er and anything that went wrong during his 13 years as Emperor was always someones fault (like his predecessor or the Senate) other than his. In fact Nero had a secret kill list of those that plotted against him and would get the people behind him before doing away with them.

Nero, only put people in charge of things as a front, he needed to control everything. so the people he appointed were unqualified or yes men.

Nero also devalued the money in Rome. By secretly having the silver dinar's infused with copper to pay for his building projects (Stimulus or Investment of Infrastructure). Gee, just like today where we have Quantitative Easing by printing more money. The effect that Nero had was people lost faith in the money they earned. Are we on the same road?

Finally the people woke up, and Nero ended his own life (with the help of a aid).

How do you think Obama will be remembered long after we are gone? Remember while Nero was alive everyone thought he was wonderful. Except St. John when he wrote "Revelations."

An idea to unite the right and stop the enemy.

OK, everyone who hates obama, and I'm convinced that's around 75% of the population, wants him out but the so-called republicans are divided, right? Some like me think a third party is the way to go, others want to stick with what I call the Titanic of politics, the GOP.

Someone tell me why this wouldn't work to bring the conservative thinking people together:

The establishment republicans run their candidate as usual. The New Tea Party, or something like it runs a truly conservative candidate, ala Col. Allen West, or Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, or Dr. Ben Carson the neurosurgeon.

Here's the catch. *The stated policy of the conservative party is that they will run as hard as they can to win over America. All true conservatives like me will be able to vote for someone who hasn't been selected by the likes of Boehner and Rove. The GOP can run their typical unelectable candidate, Dole, McCain, Romney. Two weeks before the election if the conservative party isn't in contention based on a mutually agreed upon polling service, they pledge to swing their votes over to the Republicans and withdraw their candidate! That way, no votes end up going to supporting the likes of this hunk of garbage we have in there now and all of us can unite behind one candidate while still voting our conscience.

Now, if that sounds too unreasonable, or if you can't get on board with that, we are truly doomed because right now the left is rolling over us and the Constitution like a bull dozer.

We need something bold. Why not this? If you agree that it's worth a try, please spread it around. I'm so sick of liberalism and it's tentacles, not to mention islam while I'm at it. Liberalism is at the heart of the vast majority of our decline!

Reject Hagel

Gentlemen:

I am sending you this message today in strong opposition of Chuck Hagel's nomination as Secretary of Defense.

Despite Hagel's exemplary service in the U.S. military, it is

  • his anti-semitic remarks about Israel,
  •  his willingness to talk to our enemies,
  • his naive and dangerous "nuclear zero" policies and
  • his lack of leadership experience

that make him a very poor candidate for the role of Secretary of Defense.

America needs a strong, unflinching leader who not only understands the different world arenas and their unique challenges, but possesses the necessary skill set to walk the delicate balance and make the difficult decisions that could impact us all.

In my opinion, Chuck Hagel is not the right man for this key role,

and I urge you to strongly oppose Chuck Hagel's confirmation as Secretary of Defense.

Erosion and the Constution

Erosion of the Constitution

I will begin by allegorically defining erosion.  The Grand Canyon was formed out of solid rock by water over eons of time.  Water ‘eroded’ a small obstructing hill into a chasm over a mile deep. Erosion may be insidious, but it is also ruthless.  A term that might be applied to the power mad in Washington of today.

Many people refer to FDR’s New Deal as the start of the erosion of the Constitution by our government.  I submit that it began much earlier than that.  Take a look at Grant’s administration and his use of carpet baggers during the Restoration following the Civil Was.  I could take you on a long and boring walk through many presidencies, but being the kind and gentle soul I am I will spare you that tedium.

So how about some things closer to our time?  OK that should be easy.  Let’s start with the Supreme court hearings during the Carter term.  The media began to make an epithet of the phrase “Strict Constructionist” when referring to candidates that believed the constitution means just what it says.  Skipping over many other worthy examples we come to what, in my opinion, is the single greatest practicing threat to the constitution the so called “Patriot Act” that ended with the formation of the Department of Homeland Security.  This “act” was envisioned by Bush as way to imprison foreign terrorist whether on our soil or some one else's.  You see the constitution strictly prohibits the incarceration of American citizens without that little thing called Habeas Corpus.  Basically that is the right to appear before a judge.  It does not so protect our non-indigenous enemies, nor should it.  The case could be made that it doesn’t even protect a foreign national committing a lesser crime on our soil, but we habitually and rightfully extend that courtesy to them.

Now the Department of Homeland Security (Insecurity?) has decided that our mental property is not a Constitutionally protected asset to the point of saying that they have the right to search and seize your Emails, thoughts committed to hard disc, Text messages, listed phone numbers and anything else they deem ‘potentially subversive’ without either probable cause or a warrent.  Particularly if it is within one hundred miles of ANY border.  I wonder who decided to stop at the one hundred mile point?  Why limit themselves?

In addition we are now subject to spying from the skies by our own government and threatened with murder for being in the company of a non convicted suspected person.  The CIA and FBI has taken the right to open our mail, listen in on our conversations, invade our homes without warrants and on and on and on.

A Constitutional Republic?  Not lately.  I submit to you that most of this is caused by you and me.  We have allowed the country to be taken over by the power hungry politician that is much more concerned with keeping his/her POWER than governing in a constitutional manner.

“Parents are very sensitive to any issue that seems to be anti-American – that blames democracy for some sort of trouble in the world,” he said.

A Texas mom became outraged after she discovered a Facebook photo of her child wearing Islamic garb.

The lesson on Islam was taught in a world geography class at Lumberton High School.

Sequester: And now, the rest of the story

Subject: Some interesting info on how the sequester came about. Note the author!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Obama’s sequester deal-changerBy Bob Woodward, Published: February 22Bob Woodward (woodwardb@washpost.com) is an associate editor of The Post. His latest book is “The Price of Politics.” Evelyn M. Duffy contributed to this column.Misunderstanding, misstatements and all the classic contortions of partisan message management surround the sequester, the term for the $85 billion in ugly and largely irrational federal spending cuts set by law to begin Friday. What is the non-budget wonk to make of this? Who is responsible? What really happened? The finger-pointing began during the third presidential debate last fall, on Oct. 22, when President Obama blamed Congress. “The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed,” Obama said. “It is something that Congress has proposed.”The White House chief of staff at the time, Jack Lew, who had been budget director during the negotiations that set up the sequester in 2011, backed up the president two days later.“There was an insistence on the part of Republicans in Congress for there to be some automatic trigger,” Lew said while campaigning in Florida. It “was very much rooted in the Republican congressional insistence that there be an automatic measure.”The president and Lew had this wrong. My extensive reporting for my book “The Price of Politics” shows that the automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors — probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.Obama personally approved of the plan for Lew and Nabors to propose the sequester to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). They did so at 2:30 p.m. July 27, 2011, according to interviews with two senior White House aides who were directly involved.Nabors has told others that they checked with the president before going to see Reid. A mandatory sequester was the only action-forcing mechanism they could devise. Nabors has said, “We didn’t actually think it would be that hard to convince them” — Reid and the Republicans — to adopt the sequester. “It really was the only thing we had. There was not a lot of other options left on the table.”A majority of Republicans did vote for the Budget Control Act that summer, which included the sequester. Key Republican staffers said they didn’t even initially know what a sequester was — because the concept stemmed from the budget wars of the 1980s, when they were not in government. At the Feb. 13 Senate Finance Committee hearing on Lew’s nomination to become Treasury secretary, Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.) asked Lew about the account in my book: “Woodward credits you with originating the plan for sequestration. Was he right or wrong?”“It’s a little more complicated than that,” Lew responded, “and even in his account, it was a little more complicated than that. We were in a negotiation where the failure would have meant the default of the government of the United States.”“Did you make the suggestion?” Burr asked.“Well, what I did was said that with all other options closed, we needed to look for an option where we could agree on how to resolve our differences. And we went back to the 1984 plan that Senator [Phil] Gramm and Senator [Warren] Rudman worked on and said that that would be a basis for having a consequence that would be so unacceptable to everyone that we would be able to get action.”In other words, yes.But then Burr asked about the president’s statement during the presidential debate, that the Republicans originated it.Lew, being a good lawyer and a loyal presidential adviser, then shifted to denial mode: “Senator, the demand for an enforcement mechanism was not something that the administration was pushing at that moment.”That statement was not accurate. On Tuesday, Obama appeared at the White House with a group of police officers and firefighters to denounce the sequester as a “meat-cleaver approach” that would jeopardize military readiness and investments in education, energy and readiness. He also said it would cost jobs. But, the president said, the substitute would have to include new revenue through tax reform. At noon that same day, White House press secretary Jay Carney shifted position and accepted sequester paternity.“The sequester was something that was discussed,” Carney said. Walking back the earlier statements, he added carefully, “and as has been reported, it was an idea that the White House put forward.”This was an acknowledgment that the president and Lew had been wrong. Why does this matter?First, months of White House dissembling further eroded any semblance of trust between Obama and congressional Republicans. (The Republicans are by no means blameless and have had their own episodes of denial and bald-faced message management.)Second, Lew testified during his confirmation hearing that the Republicans would not go along with new revenue in the portion of the deficit-reduction plan that became the sequester. Reinforcing Lew’s point, a senior White House official said Friday, “The sequester was an option we were forced to take because the Republicans would not do tax increases.”In fact, the final deal reached between Vice President Biden and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) in 2011 included an agreement that there would be no tax increases in the sequester in exchange for what the president was insisting on: an agreement that the nation’s debt ceiling would be increased for 18 months, so Obama would not have to go through another such negotiation in 2012, when he was running for reelection. So when the president asks that a substitute for the sequester include not just spending cuts but also new revenue, he is moving the goal posts. His call for a balanced approach is reasonable, and he makes a strong case that those in the top income brackets could and should pay more. But that was not the deal he made.Read more from PostOpinions: Bob Woodward: Time for our leaders to delegate on the budget Robert J.
