US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle paid tribute to Jenny and her colleagues who are credited with saving the lives of some of those injured in the massacre.

PHD student James Holmes has been charged in relation to the shootings which left 12 people dead.

However, her family has now been plunged into a sense of grief of their own. Jenny was out swimming in a lake close to her home when she is believed to have drowned.

Her husband Greg Pinson and five-year-old son Jack are struggling to come to terms with the loss of a "wonderful mother".

Heartbroken

Her mother Brigid, who was unable to fly to Denver for the funeral, added: "I am heartbroken, it is just terrible, terrible. She was such a wonderful person who was just so full of life and a wonderful mother who loved Jack so much," she said.

"I will miss her so much. Her brothers and sisters went over for the funeral and we had a little mass for her here. She could light up a room when she walked into it."

Jenny studied to be a nurse in Denver in the nineties and decided to settle there.

She was a GAA fanatic and founded the Denver Gaels ladies football club.

The club posted an emotional tribute on its website, describing Jenny as a "loving and devoted mother" and a "proud Meath woman".

"Every team has its ups and downs, its wins and losses ... the Pinson and Gallagher families, the Gaels and our Irish community suffered a great loss. Jennifer Gallagher passed on, leaving a wake of sorrow, sadness and loving memories.

"When you met Jenny she brightened up your day and wanted to know how you were doing. Others always came first in the most natural and sincere way.

"In her vocation as a nurse, she cared for those with most acute needs in the burn unit, the ER and most recently was recognized for her work with the Aurora shooting victims by President Obama. We were all very proud of her"

A special memorial mass is due to take place in Duleek on August 26.

There is a great message here tonight.  And it is for Obama specifically; leading the flock, DYING for the flock, not having the flock do your bidding.

But I want to share a bit about my experience in layoffs, and how that relates to the claim about Romney killing that woman.  In my post-military career, I have been blessed with great jobs.  There are times that being a manager you have difficult things to do.  And, at times, your manager has difficult things to do.  I have had the responsibility to offer recommendations for layoff names.  It sucks.  And, as I’ve mentioned before, my name was recommended for layoff.  So I have the unique perspective being placed on both sides of the fence.  There is an issue that has been totally missed.  So may I share?

When you have to lay off personnel, there is a process to follow.  Not everyone does it exactly the same, but the management team has to decide what positions they can do without to fit a budget.  Then those in the positions need to be notified.  Some companies offer extensions for some benefits to help during transition.  But in all, the employee is notified that the management decision is made, and you have to go.  The management TEAM, not the manager at the top makes the decision.  The first line management team discusses with the next level team, and so on up to the CEO’s direct reports.  Now, the list is approved ensuring that the personnel loss meets the needs for budgetary limitations.  So, if the management team makes the decision, where is the claim against everyone in the Bain group?  In fact, Bain is a financial company that supports other companies.  So where is the outrage against the CEO of the company the man worked for?  Example, Bain didn’t change the name of Staples, or Dominos.  Do you eat Bain Pizza?  Do you get your office supplies at Bain supply?  No!  There is a company that has its own CEO.  Why isn’t that company’s CEO charged like Romney?  And back to me.  My wife has an illness that will be with her the rest of her life.  I got laid off from a government contractor, in part due to the end of the ARRA funding.  So, if my wife had complications with her illness while I was unemployed, should I have sued Obama for letting the ARRA money run out? 

My point is this; the CEO of a company cannot be solely responsible for any actions that occur after a layoff.  If anyone was to succeed in a loss suit, they would have to go after their direct supervisors, and their supervisors.  They are the ones who made the decision.  So why is there no effort to go after the remainder of managers from that company the guy worked for?  Because there is no case.  It is only to rile up people against Romney.  There is no way that Romney could ever be held liable for the woman’s death.  But, if so, Pandora’s Box would spring wide open with thousands of lawsuits against many CEO’s all over the country, even the world.  And, Obama would be right there in the midst as a defendant himself.  I would do that.

suddenly remembered dying, and realized the dog beside him had been dead for
years, as had his horse. Confused, he wondered what was happening, and where
the trail was leading them.

After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall that looked like fine
marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch topped by a
golden letter "H" that glowed in the sunlight.

Standing before it, he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like
mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like gold.

He rode toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one
side. Parched and tired out by his journey, he called out, 'Excuse me, where
are we?'

'This is Heaven, sir,' the man answered.

'Wow! Would you happen to have some water?' the man asked.

'Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right
up.'

As the gate began to open, the cowboy asked, 'Can I bring my partners, too?'

'I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets.'

The cowboy thought for a moment, then turned back to the road and continued
riding, his dog trotting by his side.

After another long ride, at the top of another hill, he came to a dirt road
leading through a ranch gate that looked as if it had never been closed. As
he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and
reading a book.

'Excuse me,' he called to the man. 'Do you have any water?'

'Sure, there's a pump right over there. Help yourself.'

'How about my friends here?' the traveler gestured to the dog and his horse.

'Of course! They look thirsty, too,' said the man.

The trio went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned
hand pump with buckets beside it. The traveler filled a cup and the buckets
with wonderfully cool water and took a long drink, as did his horse and dog.

When they were full, he walked back to the man who was still standing by the
tree. 'What do you call this place?' the traveler asked.

'This is Heaven,' he answered.

'That's confusing,' the traveler said. 'The man down the road said that was
Heaven, too.'

'Oh, you mean the place with the glitzy, gold street and fake pearly gates?
That's hell.'

'Doesn't it make you angry when they use your name like that?'

'Not at all. Actually, we're happy they screen out the folks who would leave
their best friends behind.'

Sometimes, we wonder why friends forward things to us without writing a
word. Maybe this explains it:

When you're busy, but still want to keep in touch, you can forward emails.
When you have nothing to say, but still want to keep in contact, you can
forward jokes. When you have something to say, but don't know exactly how,
you can forward stuff.

A 'forward' lets you know you're still remembered, still important, still
cared about.

So the next time you get a 'forward,' don't think of it as just another
joke. Realize you've been thought of today and your friend on the other end
just wanted to send you a smile.

What is America’s mainstream republican leadership in the RNC or the Mitt Romney presidential campaign afraid of, by not letting Sarah Palin take the podium?

Are they in dread that Sarah Palin will wow the convention and America by drawing from her deep well of passionate and fervent feelings for America’s families suffering in the heartland? Does the Romney campaign feel somehow skittish that she will make a better case against Obama’s growing nightmarish handling of America’s economy and his intentional goal to undermine the U.S. constitution, than Romney or Ryan can? There are a lot of questions but no real honest answers available.

One answer to this lingering campaign non-commitment, is a petition supporting Palin speaking at the convention. You can sign and circulate it, to show your support for her continued conservative leadership and need to speak at the upcoming GOP Convention. Supporting her is a matter of principle not political gamesmanship. Let your principles and voice be heard.

After all, Governor Palin’s leadership has been, and continues to be genuine, principled, and unselfish. She has forgone the insider politics as usual approach, and instead has embraced the Tea Party’s inclusiveness and grassroots focus on conservative issues and solutions that have been neglected by the glad handing backroom political deal makers of either party.

So forgive Sarah Palin if her tireless campaigning for the past several years has been to build a new sense of political, social and fiscal issue empowerment that translates into real grassroots power. It seem that since the epicenter of power has shifted from Washington D.C., the liberal pundits and certain GOP elected officials have decided that Palin’s commitment to grassroots political power is both something to be feared as well as neutralized.

Now is not the time for Romney and Ryan to head into a presidential campaign battle with their fingers crossed hoping that Palin’s conservative supporters will somehow transfer their support for her to the GOP team, because of Ryan’s vice presidential selection.

This notion misses the point completely. Leadership and rallying troops is not like trading horses. This is not a time for political games playing. President Obama has launched an all out assault upon the American Constitution, and he has shown that he will take it apart piece by piece, with executive orders as often as he deems necessary. In battle, you don’t leave a field general at home in war, because you fear her command leadership will outshine you. This is war for America’s future not a beauty contest!

After this presidential election has long been logged into the annuals of digital history, those who will inherit the results of this election will either live in a nation severely economically and constitutionally diminished or a nation rescued from the brink of socialism and biblical principle abandonment.

In 1976, then, Governor Ronald Reagan understood the need to fight to preserve an America, 100 years from then.

At that time, President Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan had fought for the presidential nomination, which President Ford won. Instead of being bitter about the political combat and preventing Reagan from taking the convention podium, President Ford offered Reagan the opportunity to speak to an America that was in crisis.

Reagan’s speech added to the energy of the convention and helped to set into motion a new and refreshed vibrancy within the conservative movement.

Ronald Reagan reminded the convention attendees and America that in 2076, no one at present would know what kind of a world Americans will inherit. He said, “Will they look back with appreciation and say, ‘Thank God for those people in 1976 who headed off that loss of freedom, who kept us now 100 years later free, who kept our world from nuclear destruction’?... This is our challenge; and this is why here in this hall tonight, better than we have ever done before, we have got to quit talking to each other and about each other and go out and communicate to the world that we may be fewer in numbers than we have ever been, but we carry the message they are waiting for.”

Sarah Palin is carrying the message that millions in America’s heartland are waiting for. An election is won with more than a focus on numbers and budgets or hundreds of millions of dollars spent on television attack ads.

It is won in the grassroots campaign trenches found in Ohio counties and Pennsylvania coal fields and in the farmlands of Iowa, Indiana and Illinois and in the kitchens of homes in Texas, Colorado, Michigan, Florida and so many others. Sarah has been in the trenches and has worked tirelessly for the election of Tea Party backed conservative leaders like congressman Allen West of Florida, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky and New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez, and many, many others.

Let her remind America at the convention, of the fierce urgency of now. As President Ronald Reagan eloquently stated, “Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith."

Sarah is keeping the faith for everyone in the nation’s heartland for the present and America’s future.

1. His economic plan would cost America 1 million jobs in the first year. Ryan's proposed budget would cripple the economy. He'd slash spending deeply, which would not only slow job growth, but shock the economy and cost 1 million of us our jobs in 2013 alone and kill more than 4 million jobs by the end of 2014.¹

2. He'd kill Medicare. He'd replace Medicare with vouchers for retirees to purchase insurance, eliminating the guarantee of health care for seniors and putting them at the mercy of the private insurance industry. That could amount to a cost increase of more than $5,900 by 2050, leaving many seniors broke or without the health care they need. He'd also raise the age of eligibility to 67.²

3. He'd pickpocket the middle class to line the pockets of the rich. His tax plan is Robin Hood in reverse. He wants to cut taxes by $4.6 trillion over the next decade, but only for corporations and the rich, like giving families earning more than $1 million a year a $300,000 tax cut. And to pay for them, he'd raise taxes on middle- and lower-income households and butcher social service programs that help middle- and working-class Americans.³

4. He's an anti-choice extremist. Ryan co-sponsored an extremist anti-choice bill, nicknamed the 'Let Women Die Act,' that would have allowed hospitals to deny women emergency abortion care even if their lives were at risk. And he co-sponsored another bill that would criminalize some forms of birth control, all abortions, and in vitro fertilization.⁴

5. He'd dismantle Social Security. Ironically, Ryan used the Social Security Survivors benefit to help pay for college, but he wants to take that possibility away from future generations. He agrees with Rick Perry's view that Social Security is a "Ponzi scheme" and he supported George W. Bush's disastrous proposal to privatize Social Security.⁵

6. He'd eliminate Pell grants for more than 1 million low-income students. His budget plan cuts the Pell Grant program by $200 billion, which could mean a loss of educational funding for 1 million low-income students.⁶

7. He'd give $40 billion in subsidies to Big Oil. His budget includes oil tax breaks worth $40 billion, while cutting "billions of dollars from investments to develop alternative fuels and clean energy technologies that would serve as substitutes for oil."⁷

8. He's another Koch-head politician. Not surprisingly, the billionaire oil-baron Koch brothers are some of Ryan's biggest political contributors. And their company, Koch industries, is Ryan's biggest energy-related donor. The company's PAC and affiliated individuals have given him $65,500 in donations.⁸

9. He opposes gay rights. Ryan has an abysmal voting record on gay rights. He's voted to ban adoption by gay couples, against same-sex marriage, and against repealing "don't ask, don't tell." He also voted against the Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which President Obama signed into law in 2009.⁹

10. He thinks an "I got mine, who cares if you're okay" philosophy is admirable. For many years, Paul Ryan devoted himself to Ayn Rand's philosophy of selfishness as a virtue. It has shaped his entire ethic about whom he serves in public office. He even went as far as making his interns read her work.¹⁰

If there was ever any doubt that Mitt Romney's got a disastrous plan for America—he made himself 100% clear when he picked right-wing extremist Paul Ryan as his running mate. If we continue to act like if it is not perfect and catered to me then you are absolutely right... we are lost. Look we are a group of people that work our ass off to pay taxes for others to sit at their computers on college loans and welfare to pump our the crap that keeps us sunk. Why not offer you input so as to help pave the path rather than complain about the potholes."

COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !!

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.



Your laws ignore our deepest needs,

Did anyone notice the illegals will be in line ahead of you for a job at lower wages ?

I'd like to write a short note of outrage about Obama's legalizing a few million illegal aliens with a wave of his wand. If he is sworn to defend the law, how can he therefore violate the law and get away with it? Can he be challenged in court by the US citizenry over this brazen act where the executive branch has acted unilaterally and bypassed Congress?...Without regard for the law or the security of this country (have illegals been given health inspections; been screened for criminal or drug records) and the well-being of its citizens (accepting them as citizens may drive down wages), Obama snatches 3 benefits for his drive to power: (1) he bypasses the effect of the Supreme Court's rulings that were unfavorable to his eggheaded illegal reforms (namely, allowing police to request documentation) practically in one fell swoop; (2) he appeals to the "minority" vote during an election year; (3) he gains a potential few million votes from grateful illegals (who shouldn't be here in the first place) for his party that will surely grow exponentially in upcoming years, with more illegals clamoring for amnesty...I'm also surprised that more strong, impassioned voices have not been raised in far greater numbers over this devilish doing. What organizations and movements are out there that can help solidify opposition against this despotic move from the current administration? I'd like to join in concrete action against it. I look forward to hearing from my fellow Tea Party members on this subject, whose well-informed wisdom and opinions I respect.  

If I were assigned the chore of writing Mr. Romney's acceptance speech at the upcoming convention, it might go a little something like this:
  My dear fellow Americans, I humbly accept the faith you have placed in me to be your candidate for President of the United States of America.
The daunting challenge we face is perhaps the most important in all our history. America is badly wounded, my friends. There have been fifty plus years of snowballing
 liberalism, interspersed with periods of nominal conservatism, during which the Left only paused to catch their fetid breath and plan for the next assault.
 That assault during the past four years has been nearly fatal to democracy. We are dead broke, and owe more money than a hundred generations could ever pay.
 The present sad administration has run up more debt than all 43 of its predecessors did in our 230+ year history. The President has simply bought up whole constituencies,
putting it all on our tab, for future generations to deal with.
The proverbial "can" has been kicked to smithereens, and lies broken and battered in the gutter. In my opinion, and in the opinion of people whose job it is to know these things,
there remains little time for repair.
  Let me say a few words about what brought us to this low ebb in our erstwhile glorious history: liberalism. Liberalism, sometimes referred to as Progressivism, and its evil sibling Socialism,
are the scourge of Western Civilization. Western Civilization, btw, is the acme of world civilizations, contrary to what most of us have been taught in the secular, revisionist, progressive,
socialist swamps our schools have become. Just about everything you see around you is a product of the greatest minds of Western Civ, as well as the greatest music, poetry, literature,
science, and the visual arts. This is not to brag unduly, or to discourage others, but it also should not be forgotten, or omitted, due to oppressive PC. But back to Liberalism.
  Are there extant pejorative words adequate to describe what the Left have done to America?  Rock and Roll began (ca. 1954) the task to despoil music in the West. Typical of liberalism, suddenly,
in music, you didn't have to think any longer, just feel the primitive rhythms. No one younger than 60 in America even knows what popular music before rock was like. You could Google "All The Things You
Are," to get an idea. People like Alan Ginsberg, Kerouac, and other incipient hippies had a go at finishing off literature and letters for the masses.
It would be easy to go on and on, but it suffices to ask you to take a look around you as you leave this, or any other room. Fat, slovenly, undressed even for a run to the out house people, tattooed slobs
who know all the execrable TV shows, but stumble like the bumpkins they have become if asked anything at all about American History, let alone world history.
  But the shortest proof of how far we've fallen is quickly shown when you take a look at the crooks, misanthropes, psychotics, intelligentsia (LOL!), and aspiring tyrants who have been elected to the highest offices in the land!
They didn't get there by themselves, you know. I don't know if there exists anywhere near the 50+% it will take to elect a real, live, thinking, accomplished, sober, bright, patriotic American such as myself and Rep. Ryan, but
if not, you might soon introduce yourselves to those chains with which the risible Joe Biden (What, me worry?) threatened the miserable throng in VA. (If they weren't miserable, would they have assembled to hear such a clown?)

“Congress could be least productive since 1947”

Three of the first four paragraphs of this “headline news” story focus on attacking the Republican majority in the House of Representatives for the recent lack of legislative success.  This is obviously typical of the “progressive” Party Pravda, which never misses an opportunity to parrot messages being dictated by the George Soros funded Media Matters via Valerie Jarrett and the White House.

Statistics are being manipulated and misrepresented by partisan hacks posing as journalists: “Just 61 bills have become law to date in 2012 out of 3,914 bills that have been introduced by lawmakers, or less than 2 percent of all proposed laws,” or “In 2011, after Republicans took control of the U.S. House, Congress passed just 90 bills into law.

It might be statistically true that “Congress is on pace to make history with the least productive legislative year in the post-World War II era,” but to so strongly insinuate that this is the fault of the House Republican majority, as Davis, USA Today, ABC News and Yahoo News do is a lie.  Utter fabrication…pure unadulterated fiction.

Where the article fails completely (that is if you are seeking factual information rather than “progressive” propaganda) is in the “reporting” of why those numbers are so abysmal.

The United States Senate, under the extreme, partisan, rigidly ideological, failed “leadership” of “progressive” Democrat Harry Reid, has blocked, obstructed, ignored or refused to allow a majority of House passed bills to even come to a vote in the U.S. Senate.

How is any bill passed by the House ever to become law if it is completely blocked from discussion or vote in the Senate?

The reason so many people believe the House is to blame for this situation is the lies spread by institutionalized “progressive” shills like Yahoo News, Susan Davis, USA Today, ABC OTUS News and their ilk.

Should the 112^th Congress come to be “defined by partisan divisions and legislative failures”, the blame will rest squarely at the slumping, rounded shoulders of Reid and his “progressive” co-conspirator currently occupying the Oval Office.  The “progressive” Democratic Senate majority has not even passed a budget in three years.  They even voted down the one that came from the Oval Office 97-0.

This is a clear dereliction of duty by the “progressive” Democratic Party.  Thanks to the utter failure of their “progressive” policies, the one and only card left for them to play is using Saul Alinsky style smear tactics against the right attempting to blame the right for problems caused by the left.  This has been the modus operandi of “progressives” since they seized control of the Democratic Party.

The most egregious of lies propagated by the institutionalized “progressive” left is the one put forth by Nancy Pelosi during the TARP debate.  On September 28, 2008 Pelosi placed the blame for the economic collapse entirely on George W. Bush and failed Republican economic policies.

The 2008 financial collapse was a direct result of failed “progressive” social engineering in the U.S. housing market.  For decades the U.S. has had nothing remotely resembling a free market in residential real estate.  Instead, “progressive” big government created monstrosities Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac controlled over half of all U.S. mortgages.  For twenty years, Conservatives warned about the systemic risk Fannie and Freddie posed to the financial system but they were constantly thwarted by the left.  To this very day, the institutionalized “progressive” left denies the essential part Fannie and Freddie played in creating the housing bubble and causing the financial crisis.

Even at the height of the housing bubble, as the extent of the damage was being revealed, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd were still seeking to increase Fannie and Freddie’s role in a market already fettered by “progressive” big government interference.   On behalf of a well-heeled constituency in her congressional district, the liar Nancy Pelosi continued insisting Fannie and Freddie keep the housing bubble going, pushing for their insurance limits to be increased from $417,000 to $700,000 per loan.

Whether in the area of journalism or politics, once the facts are in members of the institutionalized “progressive” left prove themselves to be nothing more than bold faced, willfully deceitful psychopaths unfit to serve in the public arena.

“WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A group of former U.S. intelligence and Special Forces operatives is set to launch a media campaign, including TV ads, that scolds President Barack Obama for taking credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden and argues that high-level leaks are endangering American lives.

Leaders of the group, the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc, say it is nonpartisan and unconnected to any political party or presidential campaign. It is registered as a so-called social welfare group, which means its primary purpose is to further the common good and its political should be secondary.

In the past, military exploits have been turned against presidential candidates by outside groups, most famously the Swift Boat ads in 2004 that questioned Democratic nominee John Kerry’s Vietnam War service.

The OPSEC group says it is not political and aims to save American lives. Its first public salvo is a 22-minute film that includes criticism of Obama and his administration. The film, to be released on Wednesday, was seen in advance by Reuters.

“Mr. President, you did not kill Osama bin Laden, America did. The work that the American military has done killed Osama bin Laden. You did not,” Ben Smith, identified as a Navy SEAL, says in the film.

“As a citizen, it is my civic duty to tell the president to stop leaking information to the enemy,” Smith continues. “It will get Americans killed.”

An Obama campaign official said: “No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have, and it’s clear they’ve resorted to making things up for purely political reasons.”

Obama has highlighted his foreign policy record on the campaign trail, emphasizing how he presided over the killing of bin Laden, as well as how he ended the war in Iraq and set a timeline for winding down the war in Afghanistan.

However, Obama has come under sharp attack from Republican lawmakers who have accused his administration of being behind high-level leaks of classified information.

They have pointed to media reports about clandestine drone attacks, informants planted in al Qaeda affiliates and alleged cyber-warfare against Iran that Republicans say were calculated to promote Obama’s image as a strong leader in an election year.

The White House has denied leaking classified information.

The president of Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund Inc, Scott Taylor, is a former Navy SEAL who in 2010 ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for a congressional seat in Virginia.

Calling itself “OPSEC” for short - which in spy jargon means “operational security” - the anti-leak group incorporated last June in Delaware, a state that has the most secretive corporate registration rules in the U.S.

It also set itself up as a nonprofit organization under section 501©4 of the U.S. Tax Code, allowing it to keep donors’ identities secret. Spokesmen for the group declined to discuss its sources of financing.

Several group representatives say their main motivation for setting up OPSEC was dismay at recent detailed media leaks about sensitive operations.

In an interview, Taylor denied OPSEC had any political slant. He described the group as a “watchdog organization” but added that the current administration “has certainly leaked more than others.”

OPSEC spokesmen said the group has about $1 million at its disposal and hopes to raise more after the release of its mini-documentary, entitled “Dishonorable Disclosures,” which aims, in spy-movie style, to document a recent spate of leaks regarding sensitive intelligence and military operations.

Following the film’s release, OPSEC’s spokesmen said, the group expects to produce TV spots on the anti-leak theme that will air in a number of states, including Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Colorado, North Carolina and Nevada - key battleground states.

Fred Rustmann, a former undercover case officer for the CIA who is a spokesman for the group, insisted its focus on leaks was “not a partisan concern.” But he said the current administration had been leaking secrets “to help this guy get re-elected, at the expense of peoples’ lives.... We want to see that they don’t do this again.”

Chad Kolton, a former spokesman for the office of Director of National Intelligence during the George W. Bush administration who now represents OPSEC, also said the group’s message and make-up are nonpolitical.

“You’ll see throughout the film that concern about protecting the lives of intelligence and Special Forces officers takes precedence over partisanship,” he said.

Responding to criticism about the president taking credit for the bin Laden raid, an Obama campaign official pointed to an interview with CNN last month in which Admiral Bill McRaven, commander of the raid, said: “At the end of the day, make no mistake about it, it was the president of the United States that shouldered the burden for this operation, that made the hard decisions, that was instrumental in the planning process, because I pitched every plan to him.”

“I think Admiral McRaven knows more about the President’s role in the bin Laden operation than this group,” the campaign official said.

The California Supreme court’s ruling of “In re Marriage Cases” established the constitutional right of same sex couples to marry.  Proposition 8 , known as “California Marriage Protection” was voted on by the “Majority Consent of the Governed” in California’s 2008 November state elections and overturned, through “Constitutional Convention” amendment, California’s Supreme court “judicial legislated constitutional right” of same sex couples to marry.  

The people of the United States can exercise “Constitutional Convention”, as well, through two thirds of state legislatures and amend the United States Constitution without the approval of the U.S. president. 

I don’t know what the requirements are in California, but apparently, those requirements were met and the people of California overruled the California Supreme Court.  On August 4, 2010, Proposition 8 was yet overturned by the “Federal” Judge, Vaughn R. Walker, who himself is gay, in the case
Perry v. Schwarzenegger claiming that it violated both the Due Process and Equal Protection clauses of the United States Constitution.  An injunction was issued preventing the enforcement of Proposition 8 and a stay to determine the suspension of the ruling pending appeal, however, On February 7, 2012, in a 2–1 decision, a Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals panel affirmed Walker's decision declaring the Proposition 8 ban on same sex marriage to be unconstitutional On June 5, 2012, by a majority, the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals refused a petition for rehearing “en banc and stayed the ruling again pending appeal. On July 30, 2012, another petition was filed for “certiorari with the U.S. Supreme court requesting a review of the case and a response is due by August 31, 2012.

After the Fourteenth Amendment was enacted, the Constitution also protected rights from abridgment by state leaders and governments, even including some rights that arguably were not protected from abridgment by the federal government. In the wake of the Fourteenth Amendment, the states could not, among other things, deprive people of the equal protection of the laws. What exactly such a requirement means has been the subject of much debate, and the story of the Equal Protection Clause is the gradual explication of its meaning.

A Judge in Hawaii recently refused to overturn the state’s constitution banning the recognition of same sex marriage.  The judge, and rightfully so said, we have a “democracy” that the people follow and that he could not legislate such changes to the state’s constitution from the bench.  He’s is so right.  The case now goes to, guess where? It goes to the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals. 

Folks, the same sex marriage isn’t about a “constitutional right” or “equal protection under the law or due process”.  The issue is about, just who determines and who has the last say in what those rights are and if “equal protection and due process” on any certain issue exists in the first place? 

From prior experience, apparently, the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals judges thinks that the judicial system has the last say.  The Hawaii judge disagrees.  He has ruled that, We The People, have the last say through “Constitutional Convention” and he is right, because if the Fourteenth Amendment protects the rights of the people from “abridgment by state leaders and governments, it most assuredly protects the right of the people to “self-govern” from abridgment of the Judicial system as well.  If it doesn’t then, in reality, all we really have governing us is a socialist totalitarian type government. 

The question is, How do We The People, ensure our right to self-govern when a governing authority, the Federal Judicial system in this case, becomes "destructive" to our most basic foundational right to self-govern and over reaches its' authority to impose its' own set of ideology and values on to the people when those governing authorities are supposed to be "For the people,of the people and by the people"? Perhaps "We The People" should insist that all elected officials follow the precedent that our liberal U.S. President and several state governors has already set in opposing and refusing to enforce existing laws in support of same sex marriage,and refuse to acknowledge or enforce any ruling of the Federal Judicial Court System that clearly usurps authority over the Will of the People's and infringes upon our most foundational right and freedom to self-govern afforded to us by the United States Constitution.  It clearyly makes sense to me.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will deliver the keynote address at the Republican National Convention in Tampa later this month, while Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) will introduce Mitt Romney.

“I’ll try to tell some very direct and hard truths to people in the country about the trouble that we’re in and the fact that fixing those problems is not going to be easy for any of them,” Christie told USA Today in an interview announcing his speech. He said he will describe his experiences in New Jersey as evidence that “the American people are ready to confront those problems head-on and endure some sacrifice.”

"As governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie has proven how bold Republican leadership gets results. He has fearlessly tackled his state’s most difficult challenges, while looking out for hardworking taxpayers,” said Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, in a statement announcing the governor’s selection.

In terms of importance, the keynote speech is seen as second only to the speech of the presidential or vice-presidential nominee. It was the keynote speech in 2004 at the DNC that propelled Obama into public view, which should emphasize the importance many attribute to the keynote speaking slot. 

Christie is a very popular figure in the GOP. Some have even gone so far as to nick-name him a "rock star of the republican party." His popularity has not however been enough to stave off complaints about his being picked for the keynote position. These complaints have revolved around others who certain conservatives
believe are better suited to speak at the convention, namely, one Sarah Palin.

The former governor of Alaska remains a Tea Party favorite, but still seems to be out of place with the GOP establishment. Some have discussed the idea that perhaps Palin is simply too conservative for the establishment of the Republican Party, and so some conservative bloggers have cried out to 'Let Sarah Speak.' 

Palin is seen by 'grass-roots' conservatives as an electrifying figure that would excite the party base. Her not speaking at the Republican National Convention is seen by these same conservatives as a signal from the party establishment that they do not truly represent their interests in Washington. Some see her not speaking as a signal that party officials are not comfortable with the former governor.  Whatever the case, Palin fans are certainly upset.

“As I’ve repeatedly said, I support Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in their efforts to replace President Obama at the ballot box, and I intend to focus on grassroots efforts to rally independents and the GOP base to elect Senate and House members so a wise Congress is ready to work with our new president to get our country back on the right path," said Palin in a statement to Fox News’s Greta van Susteren.
