I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone today with Sen. Huffines Education Policy director, Lauren who is at the Austin office (very nice lady)

THERE WILL BE TESTING for all those that apply and get the state funding through Education Savings Accounts (ESA) in this proposed "School Choice" legislation.
Now with that said a student has to be in the public school system for an un-determined amount of time to qualify for the funding. (There was original discussion that this would be 100 days and it is not set in stone as of yet).
Now I want you to wrap your head around this home schoolers. Texas has been the best State in the US to homeschool due to our freedom from state mandates and testing. If this "School Choice" bill passes those who choose to exit the public school system to homeschool and buy into the money carrot of (ESA's) are unfortunately NOT aware of the freedom we have been blessed with.
Unfortunately, I feel many will be duped into taking the $$ keeping their child in the system. With this comes control, state mandates, testing and data collection on TEXAS' future homeschool community.
Please do not buy into the "MANTRA" that this $$ is going to parents to "EMPOWER" them to be involved in their child's education.A parent that wants to be involved in their child's education WILL BE!!
With that said I am most upset that the Texas Home School Coalition is throwing future Texas Homeschoolers under the bus.

Now we KNOW that Ted Cruz knows exactly what the duties of the SCOTUS are. After all, Cruz has argued several cases before the nation’s highest court and as a Constitutional expert, Cruz knows full well that the SCOTUS interprets the Constitution were our laws are concerned. It is the job of the SCOTUS to determine whether or not our laws meet Constitutional muster.

The epic meltdown continues.
It used to be that we had to wait for a debate to watch Donald Trump meltdown but now that the debates are over, we are being treated to a daily meltdown by his Trumpness and it shows no signs of letting up anytime soon.
News broke over the weekend that Ted Cruz, it seems, has secured more delegates in Louisiana, despite having finished second there, and due to Cruz’s ability to woo and win over unpledged delegates along with his ability to corral five of the top six delegates regarding Louisiana’s convention rules committee.
When his Trumpness became aware of this fact, on Easter Sunday, he tweeted his mixture of astonishment and anger and threatened a lawsuit over it.
It’s a lawsuit, should he even file it, that he will lose because there is nothing whatsoever illegal about it. It is simply a chess game and Cruz is better at it than is Trump. No changes were made to any rules and Cruz did nothing more than do what any candidate, including Trump should have done. He stayed engaged with the delegates, made his case on policy and substance and won those delegates over.
The same situation is happening in Georgia and now we learn it is happening also in Virginia because, unlike the narcissistic Trump, who thinks it all about him, Cruz knows it’s all about the delegates themselves and Cruz has taken the proper steps to make his case, post primary, while Trump has simply walked away, believing he had those delegates in the bag.

Over the past week or so, I have engaged many of Trump’s blind followers in conversation via social media and in person. I have tried…really tried to get a handle on their low-information adherence to Donald Trump. It hasn’t been easy, or fun, but here are the results of my efforts.
I decided to ask the low-information crowd what the attraction to Trump was all about and why they felt he was the answer to all their various issues.
Me: What is it you’re so angry about that draws you to Donald Trump?
Them: There’s too much corruption in Washington because all the politicians are bought and paid for by big corporations.
Me: And Trump can fix this?
Them: Yes.
Me: How much is Trump worth?
Them: He’s a billionaire.
Me: How did he make that much money?
Them: He’s a successful businessman.
Me: Does he hire people?

Ted Cruz won two states in the March 5th showdowns. Donald Trump won two states in the March 5th showd
owns. Trump’s camp is happy to say they won as many states last Saturday as did Cruz but that doesn’t really tell the whole story, does it?
Cruz won 68 delegates last Saturday. Trump only won 53 delegates that night and that’s a lot more telling than the two to two tie isn’t it?
But even that doesn’t tell the full story.
Trump under-performed in Louisiana. In polls leading up to that state’s primary, Trump held a double digit lead. It was supposed to be an easy win for Trump and while he did win that state…he only beat Cruz by less than four points. It was close. It was a whole lot closer than Trump wanted it to be and a whole lot closer than Trump thought it would be.
Trump also won Kentucky, but in polls there, before the March 5th caucus, Trump also enjoyed a double digit lead over Ted Cruz by a margin of 35-15 according to RealClear Politics. That was a 20 point lead but on caucus night, Trump barely managed to win by 35.9 to Cruz’s 31.6…a difference of only 4.3 percent.
Interesting, but there’s more to be told before we can accurately see the big picture here.

It seems that the dumbing down of America, via decades of liberalism through government indoctrination centers otherwise known as public schools as well as asylums of higher indoctrination, also known as colleges and universities is nearly complete.

Donald Trump, with the highest disapproval ratings in history, continues to win primaries. The question is…why?

Trump voters simply don’t give a damn about the issues and they don’t give a flying rat’s ass about Trump’s complete, total lack of substance or lack of any articulated plan to accomplish any of the myriad of things he says he’s going to do should he become the president.
Trump voters also don’t give a crap regarding the fact that poll, after poll, after poll shows him losing in November to whoever happens to become the liberal/socialist nominee.
To Trump’s Trump-drunk, low information voters…absolutely none of what should matter…matters at all and don’t blame me for calling his voters “low information voters because those are exactly the sort of voters Trump himself is reaching out to in this election.

With Thursday night’s debate in Houston Texas, Donald Trump made one thing absolutely crystal clear…that he’s a thin-skinned, inflamed egress on the southbound end of a northbound baboon.
Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio seemed to have taken the advice I set forth earlier in the week, and for the most part, put their petty differences with one another aside and went after Donald Trump to exposed him as the liberal/progressive agenda backing anything but a Conservative candidate that he is.
Throughout the entire debate, Trump steadfastly refuse to provide a single direct answer to a myriad of direct questions and once again, failed to provide a single element of substance to support any single campaign promise he’s made.
Not only that, but mister anti-illegal alien was finally outed, for the world to see, as having hired illegal aliens during the building of Trump Tower and for having had been fined a million dollars by a court for doing so.

Just as weighty as the decision as to who should nominate our next Supreme Court Justice is how any nominee will view Constitutional theory or how that person will interpret the Constitution.
Along those lines, there are five basic theories of Constitutional interpretation. Generally, those theories are as follows: (1) the text and structure of the Constitution, (2) intentions of those who drafted, voted to propose, or voted to ratify the provision in question, (3) prior precedents (usually judicial), (4) the social, political, and economic consequences of alternative interpretations, and (5) natural law. There is general agreement that the first three of these sources are appropriate guides to interpretation, but considerable disagreement as to the relative weight that should be given to the three sources when they point in different directions. Many interpreters of the Constitution have suggested that the consequences of alternative interpretations are never relevant, even when all other considerations are evenly balanced. Natural law (higher law, God’s law) is now only infrequently suggested as an interpretive guide, even though many of the framers of the Constitution recognized its appropriateness. Persons who favor heavy reliance on originalist sources (text and intentions) are commonly called “originalists.” Persons who favor giving a more substantial weighting to precedent, consequences, or natural law are called “non-originalists.” In practice, disagreement between originalists and non-originalists often concerns whether to apply heightened judicial scrutiny to certain “fundamental rights” that are not explicitly protected in the text of the Constitution.

Are they SURE of this? I mean, Trump has a very long history of making deals with big corporations to finance his projects from hotels and casinos to golf courses and shopping centers and let’s face a certain fact that is being completely ignored by the Trumpers…that being that Donald Trump IS a big corporation.
Trump can’t be bought.
Trumpers will tell you at the drop of a hat that Trump can’t be bought like other politicians. That he, because of his wealth, is above all that but, again there is something which Trumpers routinely, religiously ignore. Trump is the guy that BUYS politicians and their political favors.

As we settle into a new year, 2016, an election year, once again Obamacare rears its ugly 
and unaffordable head.
With more and more state Obamacare exchanges dropping like flies, those that remain are scrambling to alter their coverage plans and none of that scrambling is either good for the general populous nor is it making coverage any more affordable.
Both Blue Cross and Blue Shield along with Humana and others have removed more than 2 dozen of their previously offered Preferred Provider Organization products off the market and out of Obamacare over the last several months of 2015 as the cost to them of offering such services was unsustainable. And while this initially seems to make healthcare through those providers somewhat more affordable, the reality is that with less options for individuals, there becomes fewer places where the individuals can obtain care…fewer doctors providing care and longer wait times to receive care.
Another move touted by the Obama regime is the higher and stiffer penalties employed in 2016 for not signing up for socialism. This, they say, will force more people into the socialism system and thus lower rates for all however, at $625.00 or 2.5% of their annual income, the increased tax penalty may well not be enough of an incentive, especially for young, healthy Americans, to drag them into the pool. Even if they qualify for subsidies, paid for by other people’s money at rates of only $100.00 per month…it would still cost the young, healthy American $1200.00 per year for socialismcare as opposed to a one-time penalty of just $625.00.
These issues are, of course, just the tip of the iceberg…

Abortion is legal in this country with the right of a woman to have an abortion being upheld by the courts on the local, state, and federal levels. And that must be kept in mind by those on both sides of the abortion issue for while this is not an article on the moral or religious rights and wrongs of abortion, it is an article about how what should have remained a states issue now has become a federal issue as our taxpayer dollars are being used…and have been used since 1970…to aid Planned Parenthood in their performing of almost half a million abortions a year…of performing one-third of all U.S. abortions.
Planned Parenthood…America’s premier abortion mill…and the very group that actively lobbies against abstinence-only education in our nations public schools…has always had a somewhat dubious reputation as its founder, Margret Sanger, believed that blacks and the poor were “unfit” to reproduce…and basically founded it as a way to ‘eliminate’…if you will…the black race in America. Now bringing the word ‘dubious’ to a new level, Planned Parenthood is under the microscope…they claim…for just trying to help women who want to ‘donate’ fetal tissue for legitimate medical research. But nothing could be further from the truth as Planned Parenthood is being paid monies for the organs it takes from aborted babies…directly contradicting the very word they use…’donated’…meaning given for free.
This is what veterans need now. This is how you can help us. We need a healthcare account funded by the VA for veterans that the veteran could buy non-VA healthcare with. This is how we are going to make that happen: with the following letter. Tell people to join us here, get their copy of the following and send it to their congressmen and senators. The best thing you can do is actual paper, envelope and stamp. If you must, e-mail is better than nothing at all.

As you know our nation is losing twenty-two (22) veterans everyday to suicide. We are losing untold hundreds due to incompetence of the Veterans Affairs healthcare system. Much has been said about this nationally. Congress seemed to act quickly with the Veteran’s choice card issued under the Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act. However, it is anything but a choice. Veterans are now finding out they cannot choose a doctor; they have little choice as to when their appointment is to be. Veterans are not being paid for mileage as is required by law. Many of the appointments are many miles beyond the absurd distances they are required to drive already to get care. An increasing number of vets are not getting any care under this new system because there are no doctors “signed up” or “in the system”. Vets are still waiting because the VA still has to first diagnose a “need” then try for month to fill the appointment. Moreover, to add insult to what is great injury, veterans are having to pay for the appointments as the VA is delaying payment to the provider, and the vet is made responsible for the VA’s nonpayment. Veterans are finding out there are far too many hoops to jump through for this new program to be in anyway effective. But then that was the point wasn't it? The Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act was a political ploy to make the American people think our leadership cares for America’s veterans. It is clear you do not. The VA is spending millions of healthcare dollars on advertising and website development to convince the American people they care about vets. It is clear you do not. This letter is not to tell you how I want you to vote or act as my elected representative. It is a demand. I am demanding you, this day, draft legislation to give American veterans a healthcare account that they may buy their own health care insurance with. The VA hospital system is out of date, out of touch and out of control. It would take hundreds of years to fix the VA and many thousands of American veterans will die waiting for you to fulfill the commitment we as a nation agreed to. It cost the United States approximately $750-$900 to cover a veteran under the current VA hospital system. Those numbers are most likely much higher. Create legislation that will put this money into an account, much like the VA education funds, and let vets buy their own healthcare. Place no restrictions on it save that they can only spend the funds on health insurance, i.e. HMOs or PPOs. Also allow insurance companies to cover and entire family if they can as a way to be competitive. Many families do not pay as much to cover all of their members as the VA spends to cover just one vet. Let them have the whole $750-$900. The current chain of VA hospitals can bid for these funds like any other healthcare provider. After all if VA healthcare is so much better than civilian health care as they say, then vets will overwhelmingly choose the VA hospital system. Give them real choice; give them real healthcare, now!

Well, a little over a week ago, in an article here in The National Patriot, I brought up voter fraud as one of two ways we Conservatives could lose this midterm election.
One liberal friend of mine was frothing over the article.
Joe Fortenberry claims that “in person” voter fraud, the type that could well be stemmed with voter ID laws simply doesn’t exist and he went ballistic over it…typing his comments on social media in ALL CAPS…and being vile in the process.
His reasoning, the typical liberal response when confronted with voter fraud and voter ID laws was that it doesn’t exist because virtually nobody is being prosecuted for it.
If nobody gets prosecuted…it doesn’t exist.
Sometimes I take a good hard look at the past and I can see how it can repeat itself. Where I was born and growing up in a city and province where I experienced a strange pattern of events and normalcy.
I am an American citizen by choice. I took the test and aced it. I wanted to have the right to vote in this nation that is now home to me.
Being born in Montréal, Québec, Canada as an English and school taught French person can give someone a strange sense of reality. While growing up, my city was under the war measures act of Canada; the first ever in its history.
It started with the ‘Fronte de Libération du Québec’ (FLQ) wanting to take over the province. The terror ran from approximately 1963 to 1970. Bombs in mailboxes were common and influential English speaking people were targeted.
They kidnapped two influential people. One was British Trade Minister James Cross who was eventually freed in a deal with the kidnappers, while the other hostage was Pierre Laporte who was executed. It was ironic that the French person lost his life.
I have seen and lived through armored tanks on the streets and curfews. I have seen fear on the faces of people and terror in their eyes.
The Parti Québécois eventually replaced the FLQ because more people thought that a peaceful political party could be more effective than the violent FLQ. Then, the Bloc Québécois became the official party of Québec’s predominately French population. There are other variations to political groups now in Québec, including the Québec Liberal Party.
The English population in the province of Québec has been cut more than in half over the past thirty years. The English speaking are now bi-lingual and signs are all in French. Many of the English have migrated to the neighboring province of Ontario.
Now, in 2013, I am faced with being an American (for many years now) and seeing signs of people wanting to fight for freedom, which seems to me, to be dwindling in the USA.
There are constant threats as to the constitutional rights of citizens. America is badly divided.
I can relate to the situation here in the US easily. I have endured a very evolving situation in the country of my birth; particularly in Montréal.
There are major differences between the parties in America. The Democrats are liberal and Republicans are conservative. At least, that is what they are perceived to be.
There are only the two significant parties and an option to be an Independent voter. I am a registered Independent.
In Canada there are many parties and I believe there should be more options in the US, however, not yet. That could spread the vote out between Republicans and Conservatives. There really is a difference. I can see it with the people I interact with.
This country must have a leader who will stand for the freedoms of the Constitution of the United States. We need a change of power and it must be a change that rules against the NWO and Islamists trying to take over our country.
There are camps in many states that let Jihadists practice to kill us. That should be abolished or we will become as other countries have. Islam brought them backwards. Change is supposed to make things better. I no longer like that word.
The dealing of the IRS is a disgrace to modern America. I say, abolish the IRS in favor of a ‘fair tax’.
I was born with a Jewish father and a Christian mother who converted to Judaism and then went back to her Christian upbringing when my dad died. I am not religious. I am kind of an in between person who grew up thinking that religion was parties at relative’s houses. I celebrated both. I believe that this nation was built on Judeo-Christian beliefs and certainly not Muslim based beliefs.
My conviction is that Muslims have no right to practice in Jihad camps in America. They want this country to be a Sharia law (Islamic law) based Muslim country and will stop at nothing to try to do it. I am committed to stopping this.
If everything that I have witnessed while networking and watching conservative news happens according to the possibilities I see, Islam or the NWO will be our choices. Starving sick people will make a choice. To stop this from happening, the people of America cannot be divided.
I lived through political unrest during my life and never thought that when becoming an American citizen, I would live to see a country rumble again. I am feeling it in my bones. I will be relentless in trying my best to make America whole and free once more.
We are not a free people when government spies on us and lets our Constitution be decimated.
I am only human but I know right from wrong. The theme in this country is wrong. We must change that. We must unite or divided we will fall. Let us take back America!

Obama’s administration has produced the greatest ever reliance on the state in US history. Never have Americans had the option of being so dependent on welfare programs as today.
What is welfare dependence and what does it deliver to the despot or dictator. If a person becomes lost in the vacuum which is non-work, they lose a number of basic but fundamental freedoms. Life as a non worker is one of marginalization, ones sense of value is lessened, and you lose self confidence and independence. Your choices become increasingly limited as the financial trap is set. You don't get to choose your clothes as you can't afford. You can't choose your food as you can't afford and you don't drive the car you want as you can't afford. However, you can get welfare assisted clothing, food and even a mobile phone thanks to the great leader. The great leader provides for you as you have no other choice. You don't have the freedom that comes with earning a living wage.
What frightens a welfare slave? Well what frightens everyone? Having things taken away, no money, food, totally losing everything? The strategic benefit for the despotic regime is that you provide the things. You control everything! You control fear! Someone disagrees with, you take away the things. You blame dissenters for the problems and the fact that no ambition can be fulfilled. They don't believe so they are anti-progressive, an enemy of everyone. After all if they succeed the great leader will not be able to give you things anymore. One day a citizen wakes to find they have no say, choice or chance.
When a person works and chooses their work destiny is based on their effort, their determination and inherent drive to succeed. America is about the chance to succeed without limits. You can drive a Bentley, wear Hugo Boss or eat at any restaurant you choose if only you work for it. That is not unfair. The successful did build that.
The nice liberal term of art for Socialism or Marxism is now social justice. Lets face it its redistribution by any other name. This holds “there should be no disparity in society between the rich or the poor, the lazy or productive”. Its utopianism at its most naive and simply results in mediocrity. The famous comment from Soviet Workers “While they pretend to pay us we will pretend to work” defines its danger.
Conclusion, socialism isn't about social welfare, social care, social justice or even concern for your fellow man. Its a delivery model for power; its a methodology by which you make an underclass without power or hope. What socialism presumes is that a small elite of theoreticians know better than the majority and therefore, democracy doesn't work as the voters are just not competent.
Our danger, once you reach the level when a majority of the populace is totally dependent on the benevolence of a great leader, and his bi weekly check. Then democracy fails and we become a dictatorship.
Obama and his key advisor's are socialists, and they do think they are the smartest in the room. We have a great leader in waiting.
