The Tea Party: Who Are They, Really?

4063683015?profile=originalBarbara is white, sixty-something and writes Christian musicals. She told a mutual friend, “Lloyd is a good guy, but I disagree with his association with the Tea Party.” Shocked, our friend shared Barbara's concern with me. I thought, “Barbara, you ARE the Tea Party.”


My friend Barbara is representative of the mainstream media's despicable evil slander of millions of well informed, decent hardworking Americans who love their country and reject it being transformed into a socialist kingdom in which government controls every aspect of their lives.


Who are these Tea Party people, their profile? When I first began touring the country on Tea Party Express, the attendees were mostly middle-aged whites. Many, trying to be “good people”, voted for America's first black presidential candidate. But, as Obama began implementing his big government socialist agenda, they realized their error.


I was one of probably five blacks in America who did not vote for Obama. When Obama told Joe the Plumber he wanted to “spread the wealth around”, a little voice in my brain said, “Danger! Danger Will Robinson! This guy (Obama) is a socialist!”


At those first tea party rallies when the movement was new, many whites in attendance still felt extremely uncomfortable opposing Obama. Countless times I was told by patriots, fighting back their tears, that their opposition to Obama had nothing to do with his race and everything to do with his agenda. I knew they were sincere.


This is why the mainstream media's relentless slander of these good people, attempting to portray them as mobs of racist violent haters, so infuriated me.


Tea Party attendees are the salt of the earth Americans. They have jobs. They have businesses and families which they bring to the rallies. They love their country. They have kids in the U.S. Military. Many attend church. They do not hate minorities. They do not suppress women. As a matter of fact, many Tea Party group leaders and organizers are women. Tea Party folks want every American who is willing to work for it to achieve their American Dream. Pure and simple...end of subject.


My friend Barbara who fell for the MSM lie that the Tea Party is nothing more than a massive hate group would fit right in if she ever attended a Tea Party event.


When the Occupy Wall Street Movement emerged, once again the MSM slapped the Tea Party in the face by praising OWS as the morally superior Left's answer to the Tea Party. Well excuse me, but no one has been raped, robbed, beaten or arrested at a tea party; all of which are regular occurrences at OWS gatherings.


OWS dumped a bucket of feces in a bank lobby along with numerous incidents of destruction of property.

One point seven million tea party folks gathered in DC to protest Obamacare leaving the park cleaner than when they arrived.


The profile of blacks who attend Tea Party rallies. As I said, when the Tea Party movement first began, I was a rare black face in the crowds. Over the years, more blacks began showing up. Excited and curious, I would interview them,“What made you show up today?”


Interestingly, the blacks in attendance were either entrepreneurs/business people or they served in the U.S. Military and had witnessed the negative effects of socialism abroad.


Foolishly sacrificing principles to court misinformed voters, the GOP has joined the MSM's gang assault on the Tea Party. Their mantra is, “The Tea Party is extreme!”


I struggle to maintain my composure upon hearing low-info idiots parroting the MSM's claim that the Tea Party is extreme. Will someone please tell me what is “extreme” about expecting our government to function according to the U.S. Constitution? What is extreme about not sheepishly going along with government dismantling our God given freedoms and liberty?


Despite being badly bruised and abused from all sides, the Tea Party is the only hope for restoring America back to the vision of our Founding Fathers.


Who are these tea party guys, really?


I suspect millions of Americans who have never attended a Tea Party event love their country – still believe success is achieved via hard work rather than government redistribution – still believe marriage should remain between one man and one woman – believe government does not have authority to override the 2nd Amendment to disarm us or force us to fund behaviors which go against our religious convictions.


If you are one such American, the Tea Party is you.

From Time: Religion can be a source of comfort that improves well-being. But some kinds of religiosity could be a sign of deeper mental health issues.

Seeing their kids more eager to pray than play video games, most parents would shout, “Hallelujah” or whatever their expression of joy. And they should. Research shows that religion can be a positive force in the lives of children, just as can be for adults. “Religion,” says Bill Hathaway, a clinical psychologist of religion and Dean of the School of Psychology and Counseling at Regent University, “is related to the child having a higher sense of self esteem, better academic adjustment and lower rates of substance abuse and delinquent or criminal behavior.”

So if your child is immersed in scripture after school and prays regularly throughout the day, you may breathe a sigh of relief.  She’s such a good girl. My boy is okay.

Or maybe not. Your child’s devotion may be a great thing, but there are some kids whose religious observances require a deeper look.

For these children, an overzealous practice of their family faith — or even another faith  — may be a sign of an underlying mental health issue or a coping mechanism for dealing with unaddressed trauma or stress.

Therapists in private practice report that they are seeing children and teens across a range of faiths whose religious practice can be problematic. The amount of time they spend praying, or in other acts of spiritual practice, is not as important, they say, as the quality of this devotion, and whether it helps the children or instead isolates them and undermines their schoolwork and relationships. Children with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), for example, may rigidly repeat holy verses, say Hail Mary’s or focus on other rituals less out of a deeper sense of faith but more as an expression of their disorder. “It looks positive but could be negative,” says Stephanie Mihalas, a UCLA professor and licensed clinical psychologist.

Such ritualistic behavior, she says, may also reflect a child’s way of coping with anxiety, and in reality could be no more spiritual than fanatical hand washing or dreading to walk on cracks. “These kids fear that if they don’t obey their religious rules perfectly,” explains Carole Lierberman, MD, a psychiatrist in Beverly Hills, “God will punish them.”

Some children suffer from scrupulosity, a form of OCD that involves a feeling of guilt and shame. Sufferers obsessively worry that they have committed blasphemy, been impure or otherwise sinned. They tend to focus on certain rules or rituals rather than the whole of their faith. They worry that God will never forgive them. And this can signal the onset of depression or anxiety, says John Duffy, a Chicago area clinical psychologist specializing in adolescents. “Kids who have made ‘mistakes’ with sex or drug use,” he says, “may have trouble forgiving themselves.”

Such fastidiousness to religious practices may not seem so harmful, but extreme behavior such as delusions or hallucinations may be a sign of serious mental illness. Seeing and hearing things that are not there can be symptoms of manic-depressive, bipolar disorder, or early onset schizophrenia. But parents may be less attuned to such unhealthy behavior when it occurs under the guise of faith.

It’s not unusual that children in families where marital discord, harsh discipline, abuse, or addiction are present, perform rituals for protection. If they know their parents approve of religion, says Lieberman, “they try to be good little children and stay below the radar of the family chaos or parents’ rage.” Or, as Mihalas has seen, some children push their already observant parents to be even stricter, fearing that catastrophe will strike otherwise.

When does religiosity raise these red flags? The crucial test focuses on how the kids are functioning in the rest of their lives. Are they doing well at school, playing sports or music, socializing with friends? If so, then their faith is probably a source of strength and resilience.  If, however, the religious practices and rituals seem to be overtaking their daily lives, and displacing their normal activities, experts suggest taking steps to understand what’s triggering the focus on faith. source – Time

Though the numbers and nomenclature might differ subtly depending upon the respective branch of the military, the following is a guide with respect to the assemblage of soldiers:  a squad consists of 8-13; a platoon is made up of 26-64; a company, 80-225 and is commanded by either a captain or major; a battalion has from 300-1300 under the auspices of a colonel; a regiment or brigade is comprised of 3000 to 5000 and overseen by a brigadier general; a division has 10,000-15,000 and is guided by a major general; 20,000 to 45,000 comprises a corps (pronounced “core” not “corpse”, Mr. President) and is commanded by a lieutenant general.  There are four distinct categories which rise above those listed and drift into military esoterica, but for the average person these are terms we hear frequently and this outline provides a reference.

Janet Napolitano has established the equivalent of a “Corps” in less than four years. It must be one of those “just add water” type things.  Experience:  nebulous. Qualifications: negotiable.    Mission:  suspect.  Goal:  domination through intimidation.  Demands:  Itchy trigger finger and a bully complex.

Cliches and isolated instances aside, the military is a well-run organization and overseen by disciplined and highly educated personnel steeped in general and advanced principles of management in addition to military strategy.  Its commanders oversee expenditures which comprise approximately 20% of the country’s budget, excluding immediate and unforeseen needs of war, and the decisions which must be made involving life and death would make the average CEO certain to have an ample supply of Depends nearby.  In short, the responsibility and impact of the military on and for our country is immense.

I do not reference the military industrial complex as the cavalierly sardonic liberal who fails to understand the very reason they can run their mouth is because of the bravery and sacrifice of generations who served, and instead state it as such in order to describe its scope, for in addition to the 20% of the national budget, there are civilian contractors who benefit as well from the needs of the military regarding assets that are researched, developed, and ultimately procured, and those roots seek water in so many aspects of the economy one would need a flow-chart of unimaginable proportions to  begin to comprehend how integral the military is to commerce specifically, and of our lives in general.

It is no accident that our country has the best military in the world, because it is the end-product of decades upon decades of refinement, filled with practices which further tradition, and as an entity writ large it is to be admired, not only for its ongoing defense of the country but as a catalyst for spurring research, technology, and commerce.

Qualifications: negotiable.    Mission:  suspect.  Goal:  domination through intimidation.  Demands:  Itchy trigger finger and a bully complex.  She has amassed a personal army at the largesse of Mr. Obama, who has insulated her from scrutiny and allowed her to dismiss Congress and stare down oversight members with the glare of an executioner and the cold blooded demeanor of a reptile.  She now controls 2700 MRAP’s, which stands for Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, used principally in Iraq and Afghanistan to protect soldiers from IED’s, or improvised explosive devices more commonly known as roadside bombs.  Of the 10,000 such vehicles manufactured in the last four years at over $500 million apiece, she has managed to acquire over 25% of them for “domestic use.”  Additionally, as an amendment to last week’s commentary that erroneously stated she had amassed over a billion hollow point rounds of ammunition, that number now stands at over two billion, enough to wage a conventional war for a mind-warping 26 years.

Something is wrong here, people.  Something is radically, fundamentally, and severely flawed.

Certainly, inner city crime remains high and those statistics skew more wildly thanks to the ineptitude of flaming Rahm Emmanuel, but, 2700 MRAP’s?  For what, roadside bombs in Topeka?  A ten man militia group in Laramie?  How about the hollow point arsenal?  The military can’t use hollow points because they are deemed too inhumane for war.  Something grotesquely sinister is afoot and it is targeting US citizens while Mr. Obama is fixated upon disemboweling the military, stripping it of resources as of this writing, and determined to slash its budget.  Police departments are back-ordered on ammunition requests for up to a year and are being forced to barter among themselves, yet there’s no let up in the accumulation of lethal force at “Homeland Security”, a misnomer which grows with every passing day, for it has been elevated and armed to wage a domestic war against citizens with such enormous resources that the military and police would arguably be neutered.  Aside from the ominous and chilling amount of assets at her disposal, where have oversight committees been while this gruesome arsenal has grown?  She didn’t acquire this hideous amount of armament and ammunition overnight, so Congress was, either, sniveling and scared to challenge the administration or was comatose.  Neither is acceptable.

Don’t we already have a National Guard?  There is no fathomable purpose under any scenario whatsoever wherein the usage of military assets by this “corps” is intended to produce anything fruitful or protect citizens, and instead, it smells sinister to a point that it rivals Nazi Germany in its scope and ultimate potential.  There is no logical explanation that is acceptable, even when Napolitano deigns to snarl at Congress.  The training of the brown shirts cannot compare to the readiness and sophistication of the military, and there cannot be a war strategy, unless the interpretation of conflict is to attack and control innocent citizens. The omnipotent arrogance of the Director as an extension of the executive branch portends unthinkable doom, for law enforcement and martial law differ greatly.  Soldiers?  Hardly.  Just because I wear a #4 Green Bay Packers jersey down at the park, it doesn’t make me Brett Favre.

I have received countless expressions of concern for my well-being for writing critically of this administration, which speaks volumes about the air of fear and intimidation upon with Mr. Obama and his minions pride themselves.  The last I checked, I still live in the United States and am entitled to First Amendment protection regarding freedom of speech.  No threats have been made toward the circus people in the White House, and all predictions and extrapolations are based on empirical data.  Calling someone an inept ideological puppet is not prohibited nor is pointing out that someone’s wife dresses like she works in a Filipino hump-hump bar, and there is no violation of law for explaining that a pointed head fits nicely in a dunce cap.

The reality is that the spine of the country for years has been the military, which could easily be complemented by achieving energy independence.  Obama is intent upon gutting one and steadfastly refuses to develop the other while building a “citizens army” of unprecedented proportions.

Where did this guy come from, and what is his game?  Too me, it’s all too “transparent.”

Are America’s treasured National Parks being co-opted

Led by the New World Order under the guise of designating them World Heritage Sites, thus allowing foreign troops and United Nations agencies to take over our country in a soft coup d’etat? A blogger has photographed heavily equipped armored vehicles carrying the “Special Response Team” logo in and around the Great Smoky Mountains National Heritage site in Gatlinburg, TN. (1) ”It is a deadly serious piece of equipment never before used inside the US until now,” says the blogger “Sherrie” who then adds, “The vehicles don’t come more heavily armored.”

Sherrie has put up several pictures of these in-country tanks which she said she saw on and near Interstate 75 when she was traveling back roads near Winchester, Richmond, KY, and lists Rt. # 627 as an area of interest. “This spot is (around) the US Army Chemical Depot” which covers 14,000 acres in Kentucky backwoods,” the blogger says on the video which the Liberty web site is putting up for general viewing. She mentions chemical weapons involving 523 tons of nerve agents and shows aerial photography of train tracks going up to several buildings in this compound! “I’m not sure what they are,” she says, positing the notion of a possible FEMA camp in the Kentucky woods.
Now in addition to sighting of MRAP vehicles, “Sherrie” tells readers that “Russians were stopping and questioning people in the Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain Parks region.” She quotes a high ranking individual in a local area state militia organization who she says she trusts as being truthful. The scenario developed when these apparently foreign troops wearing DHS uniforms with the Eagle insignia tried to enter Tennessee from Kentucky. “They were NOT Americans. . .appeared to be Russian or Eastern European!”
The Tennessee State Guard is being formulated as part of the 22 state Governors’ Militia Organization of volunteers which answers only to the Governors, not to the Federal government. (2) What has developed is the confiscation of equipment belong to National Guard Units nationwide. Trucks and other equipment sent to Iraq are not being replaced or returned to the states by the federal government because it is “too expensive” to transport the vehicles and equipment back into the country. This has prompted 22 governors to form State Militia Units paid for by the states and thus kept out of the reach of the federal government. (2)
Has the Division of Homeland Security partnered with the United Nations One World military apparatus with a sleight of hand operation known as World Heritage Site designation? The observant blogger lists these US treasures also as being so designated: Statue of Liberty, Everglades, Mammoth Cave, Yellowstone, Yosemite, all former National Parks. Folks, this designation and UN involvement coincides with the ten region DHS map of the United States! Has this under-the-radar give away of America already taken place, thus allowing the constitutionally prohibited onus of foreign troops being stationed on American soil? What is your Congress doing about this?

Economist Admits 'Mismatch' Between Greenhouse Gases and 'Not-Rising Temperatures'

The Economist has been fairly consistent in its stand that carbon dioxide emissions from man-made sources are the chief cause of global warming. But in an editorial this week, it sounds less certain.

Global warming predictions haven’t panned out as predicted in the past decade, but the why is a bit fuzzy, the magazine admits.

Greenhouse gas emissions have soared during the past 15 years, the magazine notes, with 100 billion tons of carbon having been added to the atmosphere between 2000 and 2010. Still, both air and ground temperatures during that time have remained virtually unchanged.

In fact, the editorial notes, surface temperatures have been at the bottom of the projected range of various models since 2005. If they remain flat, they will actually begin to fall below projections shortly.

I try not to be unnecessarily confrontational, but when there is an
"obvious" contradiction concerning this community's mission I must 4063682723?profile=original
speak up. The fact this nation is in a struggle for it's future and
literally for it's life, unity of purpose is "power". Now anything or
philosophy that bring "suspicion, opens old wounds, causes division"
needs to be confronted. If I felt this community was just a "smoke
screen" for a "hidden agenda" such as justification of the
"Confederacy and everything it stood for" I would become one of
it's most outspoken opponents. That being said there are elements
within this community that are wolves in sheep's clothing striving for
acceptance and legitimacy by attempting to be "apologist" for the
Confederate cause. Throwing mud on the Union's response to their
rebellion as "aggression",and Abraham Lincoln the oppressor. This
has been the whole "engine" for the perpetration of hate and
atrocities from reconstruction until this day...With our movement
they are able to "Hide in plain sight"...I say stop making excuses for
this behavior and call it what it is "Racism". I refuse to believe the
lie of the MSM that this is the true nature of the "TEA PARTY
MOVEMENT"...but when I see portraits of Nathan Bedford Forrest the
father of the KKK posted, and out of context quotes from Abraham
Lincoln portraying him as a tyrant and aggressor, what can I say? As
a minister of the LORD the only thing I can say to those in the
community that hold this position...REPENT!!! YOU LOST THE
STRUGGLE BECAUSE OF BEING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF

When I first signed on at the "Tea Party's" offical answer to "Facebook"...I was immediately introduced to the part of the community call "SOUTHERN GENTELMEN"... we immediately entered into at first a heated exchange.. they said I was "confused" and "misinformed" by "Nothern" propaganda" and they made an attempt to be polite and said I was "idealistic".The subject matter is to real, and relavent I'm not being idealistic at all...but as real as this sensitive topic can be...picture the antagonists in your view of history President Lincoln vs Jeff Davis...one man's hero is another man's villain. Karl Marx is as far from Lincoln as anyone can be Barack Obama could not tie the man's shoe... Lincoln's legacy is History we in just over 165 yr have become the most prosperous and powerful "Unite States" and unquestionably the youngest and most powerful nation the world has ever known. That being said we arrived at this point because of victory over the worst form of terrony .... S L A V E R Y. The use of human beings as a "carpet" to stand while arguing the Geo/political fine points of states rights is wrong not a skewed view, but rather the truth this is the way you explained it. You can not reduce human suffering to the"inconsequential" subtext of the confrontation. That is about as real as it gets...The problem is if it is wrong now it was wrong then...Our form of Government was maintained and the Union secured...we have stumbled and strived and come this far by faith,and repentance as nation,and most of the Lord's churches that still hold to his word. I'm expressing how it feels from the "Mirror image" of our history same "Mirror" but the refection is "reversed"...the time of the "Grand ole South" maybe a "paradise" lost to the slave owner, but 'a walk through hell for the slave". Emotions will always run high on both sides of this "Mirror" that happens to be "OUR" nation. Sorry I can't join in with you and your fellow Southern Gentlemen who long for a return to that "glorious time"...I've come this far by faith leaning on the LORD. Trusting in his HOLY WORD HE"S never failed me yet. The Apostle Paul writes "Forgetting those things that are behind, I press forward to the high calling of GOD in CHRIST JESUS"...in detail it all boils down to a "Heart Issue" the LORD spoke through his prophet Jeremiah "The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Who can know it? I the LORD try the heart I try the reins and will JUDGE every man according to his doing". So that puts your "Motives" off limits to me or anyone else it is the exclusive domain of the LORD. ONLY remember JESUS agreed with what HE gave to JEREMIAH when HE said "JUDGE NOT LESS YE BE JUDGED"...but also said "YOU JUDGE A TREE BY THE FRUIT THAT IT BEARS" only the actions of a man can be judged that gives us our rule of law founded on the WORD OF GOD. Our motives and hidden agendas are between the individual and the LORD if they are in line with HIS WORD and principals great, if not our arms are to short to "BOX" with GOD.

How has it come to this?

It is with great horror that I have discovered that living babes are ripped from the wombs of their mothers and left laying on cold metal tables, like garbage, fighting for life, struggling to keep breathing. This reality has stripped me of my tolerance, of my willingness to try to understand the view of a lib. All of you must reach this point. They don't have a view, they do not  have a utopia view, they are evil, they are sick , they are twisted! We have enabled them and we must end that! They did not manage to get us where we are today by following the laws, they did it and are still doing it by breaking the laws. The time for peace is over, there is no law , you all need to understand that. The time to fight for what is right has come, the time for you polite and caring attitudes towards these libs has come. Yes, you are polite and you are caring! You don't want to break their laws, you don't want to cross their boundaries, well, they crossed yours and mine and if we want to take back our lives, take back morals and values , well, you are going to have to break their laws, just as they did ours. I want to be very clear here, for those who believe in right and wrong you can only have one attitude , hot!  Libs are evil incarnate, you are for all intents and purposes fighting Satan! My tolerance ended today, it ended with the fact that they condone and protect the murder and torture of living , breathing babes! I mean living breathing babes that some piece of slime decided it did not want to live! I'm sorry , but, I know many of you were already aware of this and still you talk , still you will not cross their boundaries! Well, either you put aside your selfish security or you are defeated, not just in this life either, in the next as well. The time for forceful action is here, has been here for years and we have done nothing. We are too busy being politically correct! So, go ahead , call me radical, tell me not to say what is true, kick me from here! I don't care, You are either hot or you are cold and there is no in between! And every babe that dies from this day forward, every babe I cannot save, their blood is on my hands and your hands! Of all the issues we have today, there is one I have not seen here, the murder and torture of helpless babes! I have lost faith with man, with myself, I turn to God now and only there will I find truth and I pray salvation. We are all sick , twisted and demented! We make excuses for our lukewarm actions, at least the libs are hot in their pursuit of satans work! Understand this, because libs are hot in their satanic believes they are succeeding , because we are luke warm or cold we are failing! The time to forcefully end the horrors being perpetrated by libs was yesterday! I am going to run hot, I'm done with pretending like I fight for good, I am going to fight for good! So, all of you, think long and hard on this, why have the libs, evil incarnate been successful Because they broke Gods Law and mans Laws and as long as you keep trying to follow the laws of the libs , you will fail.  You are either hot or you are cold! I expect this post will be deleted, it is not politically correct and I am telling you to cast off mans law, fight to preserve Gods laws! The war is here , you will not win it working within the confines of the evil, you must break their evil laws or bow to them and be one of them!

My tolerance has ended, my lukewarm attitude is gone , I am hot, I will fight for God's laws! I am a sinner, but, I am a sinner who has faith in our Lord's laws , I fight to protect those laws on a personal level , I will now fight to protect those laws on a universal level, I will lose, I am but one , but, I will die in peace knowing I fought for our Lord!

So many of you profess to be Christians, can quote scripture word for word, I cannot do that, but, I do remember some of the scriptures, and this  one "So then because thou art lukewarm ... I will spue thee out of my mouth - Referring, perhaps, to the well-known fact that tepid water tends to produce sickness at the stomach, and an inclination to vomit. The image is intensely strong, and denotes deep disgust and loathing at the indifference which prevailed in the church at Laodicea. It may be remarked, also, that what was threatened to that church may be expected to occur to all churches, if they are in the same condition; and that all professing Christians, and Christian churches, that are lukewarm, have special reason to dread the indignation of the Saviour." Admins, go ahead, kick me! I will no longer participate with the lukewarm  , I am looking for those who are hot.

The torture and murder of innocent babes

God does work in mysterious ways. I have just discovered that the people of this nation condone the murder and torture of innocent babes. The horror of that, the reality of that, has left me cold and disdainful of mankind, ripped away hope, laid to ruin my belief that people have any goodness in them what so ever. At this very time , this very second, a friend reached out to me. My horror and disgust of mankind still remains but hope returned. There are a few out there yet who believe in love, compassion , loyalty, God, right and wrong. My battle against those of you who murdered and torture innocent babes will continue, but, at least I know you are not the rule , you are the exception. So, a little seed of hope. Do expect to see me soon planned parenthood and do expect me to take forceful action, do expect me to be willing to go to jail fighting for the life of innocent babes, do expect me to feel disgust for the evil that libs are - that does not change. What did change is there is a little seed of hope that all is not lost and that all mankind are not the epitome of evil. I am supposed to pray for the evil that you libs are but I am human and cannot. My prayer would not be for God to have mercy on your evil , my prayer would be to end your evil in this life and the next. That's right libs, I have sinned, you disgust me, I cannot pray for you, I want to see the end of your evil. God will be most unhappy with me, I am sinning, I judge you libs. I judge you as evil. I will fight your evil with every fiber of my being! May God forgive me and have mercy on my soul for the hate I feel!

This should never have been allowed to happen. We should be using force to end the murder and torture of babes! We are as guilty as the evil that perpetuates this. I don't want to see one comment about making change peacefully, not one damn word! Not One! This is an issue in which we should be following God's laws! It is our duty to fight this with all due force! We have been allowing the murder and torture of babes! Enough! Libs are the children of Satan, they are evil! I will no longer be tolerant! I will no longer try to understand their way of thinking! They are sick, demented , twisted creatures of evil! My time to fight has come, my time to prove my faith to God and all that is good has come. I will not stand by and allow innocent babes to die in agony because the evil law of man allows it. Every babe that dies this agonizing death , that has died this death, we let it happen and God will judge us for it! I will not follow man's laws , I will follow God's to whatever end that brings. Planned Parenthood Official Endorses Right to Kill Babies Born Alive

Sadly, you read that headline correctly. From The Weekly Standard:

Florida legislators considering a bill to require abortionists to provide medical care to an infant who survives an abortion were shocked during a committee hearing this week when a Planned Parenthood official endorsed a right to post-birth abortion.

Alisa LaPolt Snow, the lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, testified that her organization believes the decision to kill an infant who survives a failed abortion should be left up to the woman seeking an abortion and her abortion doctor.

To be clear, sponsor of the bill Republican Rep. Cary Pigman has said his interest in the bill is “solely and strictly to provide care for that infant that is born alive, following any procedure, that it receives full and appropriate resuscitation.”

But Snow thinks politicians shouldn’t be the ones to decide “what constitutes the best medically appropriate treatment in any given situation.” Needless to say, the lawmakers were absolutely stunned:

"So, um, it is just really hard for me to even ask you this question because I’m almost in disbelief," said Rep. Jim Boyd. "If a baby is born on a table as a result of a botched abortion, what would Planned Parenthood want to have happen to that child that is struggling for life?”

"We believe that any decision that's made should be left up to the woman, her family, and the physician," said Planned Parenthood lobbyist Snow.

Rep. Daniel Davis then asked Snow, "What happens in a situation where a baby is alive, breathing on a table, moving. What do your physicians do at that point?”

"I do not have that information," Snow replied. "I am not a physician, I am not an abortion provider. So I do not have that information.”

Rep. Jose Oliva followed up, asking the Planned Parenthood official, "You stated that a baby born alive on a table as a result of a botched abortion that that decision should be left to the doctor and the family. Is that what you’re saying?”

Again, Snow replied, “That decision should be between the patient and the health care provider.”

“I think that at that point the patient would be the child struggling on the table, wouldn’t you agree?” asked Oliva.

"That’s a very good question. I really don’t know how to answer that," Snow said. "I would be glad to have some more conversations with you about this.”

Of course Snow doesn’t elaborate on what exactly she means by “decision,” or rather how the baby should be killed, but she certainly seems to be taking a page from the Kermit Gosnell playbook—hence the type of questioning she received and look of utter shock on many of the lawmakers’ faces.

If a baby is born alive and thus becomes the patient as Rep. Jose Oliva suggests, the pro-abortion mantra ‘my body, my choice’ completely falls apart—since it’s not her body anymore, it's no longer only her choice. 

But perhaps most disconcerting about this video, and as Carol points out, is the “complete absence of any apparent discomfort at the prospect of post-birth abortion -- in other words, infanticide.” Planned Parenthood's position is not just extremely disturbing, it's absolutely abhorrent.

Obama signs bill that protects makers of genetically engineered crops from federal courts

President Obama approved a temporary spending bill this week that averted a  government shutdown but also riled a slew of groups that say one provision  protects Monsanto and other makers of genetically modified seeds and crops from  federal courts.

The so-called Monsanto Protection Act essentially requires the Agriculture  Department to approve the growing, harvesting and selling of such crops, even if  the courts rule environmental studies are incomplete -- undermining  the  judicial review system and posing potential health risks, critics say.

The biotech rider was included in spending bill HR 933 and signed Tuesday by  Obama, despite White House protests and at least two petitions, including one by  the group Food Democracy Now that got more than 250,000 signatures.

Who would you hire?

I asked a simple question to a few people involved with hiring processes, interviews, or helping other find jobs.

Who would you rather hire between #1&2 and #3&4.  Why?

1. A man who worked in a similar field that you are hiring for.  This person worked in the field for 7+ years and was let go about 18 months ago.  He has only applied and looked for jobs that are at or near similar pay and prestige.  While looking for a job he was lived off of food stamps and unemployment. 

2. A man who worked in a similar field that you are hiring for.  This person worked in the field for 7+ years and was let go about 18 months ago.  He has applied and interviewed with many businesses and while he has yet to land the job he wants he found a job working as a stock-man at the local hardware store.  This man has been receiving food stamps to help with the salary that was lost but isn't living just on them. 

3. A man who is 18 months out of college that is strictly applying for the job that he got his degree in an has not even applied to any other positions.  He might also be living on welfare and food stamps or solely on parents. 

4. A man who is 18 months out of college that has found a job working as a burger flipper at McDonald's and has quickly made his was way to trainer.  He is back living with his parents who still give him a little help but also require him to help around the house pay rent and actively looking for a better job. 

 

What are you 2 hires? And if you are a 1 or 3 what are your reasons for not going to any and every place that has a “hiring” sign?

Example #1: Vice-president of a university cafeteria and catering company.

(This response was before the 2012 election to put a comment in perspective)

I would choose #2 and #4.

#2 because he is not lazy and even though he wants the BIG job, he willing to do what he can to support his family and himself until he can land that job. He apparently is motivated to work even though he hasn't found the type of job he was let go from. Even though he might be receiving some Government assistance, he isn't totally living off the government. I want a hungry manager, not a lazy one.

#4 Same reason as above, wants to work, isn't totally living off his parents and will do what it takes to make some money that he "earned" and is still looking for that job that is went to college for.

This scenario mimics our current presidential runoff, one wanting to give more to people not wanting to work, while the other is trying to make it better for those who truly want to work and create more jobs rather than printing more money for “those who want it”.

Example #2: Director of career services at a top university according to the Princeton Review.

2 & 4. I always appreciate the person who, despite challenges, keeps moving forward and continues to be active by working wherever they can. Sure, it may be out of their field of choice but it allows them to keep forward momentum plus helps to bring in some money.

It helps a person from having large gaps on their resume as well.

Inaction breeds doubt and fear

Example #3: Director of alumni communications at a top university according to the Princeton Review.

#2 and #4 are the ones I would prefer to hire

In both of these situations, the info indicates that #1 and #3 are unwilling to humble themselves, even in order to help themselves. Food stamps and unemployment are meant to be short term options. I know there are jobs available if you are willing to swallow some pride. I have much more respect and business confidence in someone who will exhaust all options before putting someone else out.

Example #4: Process manager at a Fortune 500 company responsible for interviewing and hiring many co-ops.

I would pick 2 and 4 because each shows signs of being self-sufficient. It's easier to get a job when you already have one. It shows being a self-starter.

Example #5: HR specialist in a top school district in Texas.  First to see and evaluate an applicant’s résumé.

2 for sure, and 4 for sure.

Pay and prestige are good in a job, but more importantly is responsibility to yourself, to your family, and to your society.  Waiting around for the "perfect" job shows that you have an attitude of entitlement.  I think that you have to earn what you get, and you sometimes have to do whatever it takes to survive until the time comes that you have earned the next phase in life and employment.   Taking the life (job) that is present at the moment while working toward the perfect one shows an attitude of commitment, maturity and responsibility.
