Harry Reid elimination of the filibuster rules for presidential appointments means that the three judicial appointments that Obama is making this week will fly through Congress. They are liberals and one is an extreme liberal all with life time appointments . Reid should be ashamed of what he has done to our country and Obama is beyond shame. The DC  court was not backed up, but with these 3 appointments the court will flip way to the left. Now, every executive order, EPA rule or other abuse will be green lighted by the DC circuit, if Obama 's appointments follow their proven liberal beliefs.

This is probably the most damaging thing done to the US to date and a great deal has been done. We lived in a Republic where minority rights were protected, especially by the Senate in the past. Now, with Obama care passed without one GOP vote and rammed through on a technically that avoided any filibuster and now the rules change on appointments the democracy rules, the majority only. This was never intended and until Reid, Pelosi and Obama's imperial reign it was not the case. Those sorry excuses for politicians stated why this should never be done themselves when they were in the minority. Shame on them all and I pray to God America has not turned a corner that we can not come back from that these evil people have done to us all.

They started with the War on coal ,( While making nice with the Iranians who have killed our soldiers and many others), This is going to put 238 coal fired plants out of business and electric rates will skyrocket. This was a promise Obama made and he is planning on keeping. He used the EPA and is using them to go around the intent of Congress and so far, they are allowing him to do it. The crazy thing is plants use CO2 to make O2.

I understand that man contributes about 1%  to 2% of the climate change related emissions, while the sun, ocean and nature is responsible for 98% t 99%. It is hard to understand why would spend Billions and billions on green energy subsidies, then go along with alternative fuel credits and then carbon trading credit scheme, the greatest Ponzi scheme in history. All credits traded go through companies owned in part by Ozone AL Gore and George loved the Nazi's Soros. They will make untold billions off the hood winked people and countries who pay to pollute. What a scam, and the craziest thing is they are getting countries to make laws forcing the purchase of credits that they BROKER for a fee. FOLLOW THE MONEY. Al Gore talks about climate change and yet he will make and has made millions off the process. He knows as much about science as he does about making the internet work, which is not much aside from turning on the PC.

I expect Obama may have the EPA delay the fuel credit fees until after the next election. Remember he said he would like to see gasoline prices the same as in Europe, which is about $8 to $9 dollars a gallon. He may be able to do it if Congress does not grow a stronger spine. 

You see why this is going to hurt the poor and middle class folks. .Currently there is a regulatory assault on all US manufacturing and business by the Obama administration. This has slowed the economic growth to nothing, unless you count part time low wage jobs with a multiplier.

They are printing 80 billion dollars month, which is artificially keeping the stock market and banks happy. They all make money, but the day of reckoning will come, most likely right when Obama leaves office. If the dollar is knocked off it's world currency dominance along with the weakened dollar inflation may make a loaf of $1.50 bread cost as much as a gallon of gasoline and maybe more. Currently, Obama and the democrats are spending more on green and climate control related programs than they spend on Border security, as reported in the WSJ this week. No surprise, as Obama has started granting political asylum to Mexican illegals. Obama has let over 8000 illegals out of jails and essentially given the DREAM act making deportation of minor illegals nearly non existent. Of course, these are democratic, I mean future  democratic voters and will be used as they are addicted to federal aid. Remember liberals and Obama can always spend the money of other people and squander the wealth of America in many ways.

12 billion dollars spent this year on mostly German made windmills and 9 billion on ethanol production. 45% of the WORLD's corn supply is used to make fuel, which really hurts poor people world wide, not just in the US. Plus it takes 1500 gallons of water to make one gallon of ethanol. Then the poor mileage, water in the gas makes engines have problems requiring additives and costing more money. All of this to do what? Save or reduce oil consumption? We now admit to having more oil reserves in just the center part of the US than all of the known reserves in the WORLD. This excludes Alaska, off shore and most of the current oil produced in the US. Add that to natural gas, coal, Hydro and nuclear and wee are sitting on hundreds of years worth of domestic energy. WHY USE ETHANOL , aside from bumping up corn prices? Of course, any gasoline that does not meet the alternative fuel percentage will have to buy fuel credits. YES, technically they can not meet the requirement which is a man made BS requirement to reduce oil consumption!!!!!! Oh yeah, Wall street commodity brokers will make millions , possibly billion trading the credits. These costs will be passed to you and is how Obama will get the European gasoline prices while we sit on hundreds of years of OIL.

Plus he is cutting 12 brigades out of our military and when all cuts are compete our military will be smaller than pre WWII and some services will be smaller than ever in our history. The was an article published that explained even 60% + of republicans wanted alternative energy and knew that the global warming was happening, etc.,.  I disagreed and this is my response and thoughts below:

I wonder how the questions were structured and where the survey was taken. There are several reports out that state the global temps are down for the last 10 years and a Russian report that states they expect global temps to be lower for 250 years at least.

I think the carbon trading scheme is more like a Ponzi scheme and will enrich the owners of the exchanges, which include Al Gore, Soros and others. I do agree that we should use our 200 to 300 hundred years supply of coal, natural gas, oil to be energy independent ASAP. The US is now the largest producer of oil, passing Russia and we could produce much more that current levels, as our increases have been from private lands and not federal lands. Obama essentially shut down our shale oil production sites, as he reduced them by 2/3tds. We should allow the market place to develop alternative sources without federal tax subsidies, which was NINE billion USD for ethanol alone in 2013. The EPA went around Congress declaring CO2 a pollutant so that they could regulate almost every aspect of our life. The new MACT, Utility Standards which included social costs for the first time and was based on 20 year old data have made new coal fired plants nearly impossible. Obama explained it as saying you can open a new coal fired plant but it will bankrupt you. The EPA is also working to fulfill Obama's promise that under his policies energy prices will necessarily sky rocket. High energy prices hit the poorest the hardest and also cost jobs.    Germany electric rates have gone from $.06 a kilowatt to over .20 a kilowatt as they went more green and into the carbon credit scheme. This has prompted the industry in Germany to warn that he rates are affecting businesses and future growth. Spain went broke going green and it makes no sense until it does make sense, which means we should let industry develop it as needed and allow research at universities with very limited Federal grants.

of course, there are economical green energy like hydro and other low emissions like natural gas and nuclear that we should use now. W should not shut down coal plants and allow incremental improvements vs. all or nothing EPA approach under Obama. 

I requested EPA information under  FOIA relating to the new Utility Standards, but the new standards are out there that include the new social costs. This new formula is like the old accountant joke, when asked what is the answer they shut the door and ask," What do you want it to be"?  This is how many of Obama's czars and agencies answer questions or make regulations. It is ideology not solid science , it is a religion of global climate change, not settled science as Ozone AL likes to often state. People that dissent should not be silenced or punished, as Al Gore has stated. All evidence should be reviewed and so should where the money flows. Investigate Al's and Soros ownership of exchanges, it is estimated as a trillion dollar business! The CO2, which until last year was a useful gas that plants must use to produce O2.

CO2 levels and temps were much higher millions of years ago and there was no man made pollution.

Sea levels have been 300 feet lower recently, geologically speaking during the last ice age where ice was 6 miles deep over much of the present day US land mass. 

Sea Ice is 60% larger this year, as temps drop globally.

Man does contribute .05% to 1 % of the total emissions and much of the pollution control efforts make tiny impacts, but can cost billions while re-distributing the wealth of the west. Obama favors this re-distribution.

Often, only the foreign press will report about this almost religious issue in the west , global climate cooling/warming/change. Those Crazy Russians also reported that they may can explain why so much natural gas is available and seems to continue to grow. They think it is given off by the Earth's mantel , which would mean an essentially endless supply until the Earth's mantel cools off when the planet dies in several billon years.

Maybe some, ( GORE,SOROS and OTHERS) do not want a cheap, clean source of energy? Before just attacking my position, investigate the issue yourself.

They both voted for closure which let the bill go forward for a vote. As Cruz pointed out that would have been the time and place to stop the bill. Instead they voted to let it go to the floor where 51 votes was enough  to pass it. Now they can tell us they voted against the law, but essentially they worked with Reid and it passed. 

The statement below is from Senator Corker TN, ( R). The problem is that Obama has ignored laws, Congress and even judicial decisions. To me he will; use all of the confusion around Obama care, funding and other issues to cover up  his executive orders enforcing the UN treaty without the consent of Congress.

Wow, Obama will not speak to the republicans and will shut down the government before budging on the terrible train wreck called Obama care, but he praises Muslims and bends over backwards to speak with the Iranian President/Mullah.

That just does not seem right, much less Presidential for an American, but then Obama has contempt for the Constitution, 1st and 2nd Amendments, our judicial and legislative branches and selective US laws. On second thought, Obama reaching out to others while stiff arming fellow Americans does not surprise me.  

Sad times for America and I think the most divisive we have been since 1859. The President that promised to be transparent and bring everyone together has done just the opposite in every aspect of our country.

President or should I say King,  Obama has declared November Muslim Appreciation Month. After the horrible tortures and murders of Christians in Kenya and over 83 churches torched in Egypt by the Brotherhood. His offer to shake the Chief Murderer in Iran is rejected, so he calls him. The country that finances world wide terrorists, actively develops a nuclear bomb, calls for the elimination of Israel and the US to bring the end of the world , continued  world wide continued Islamic  terrorism, the recent trail of a Islamic doctor in the Us military that murdered 13 plus people. Add the fact that virtually no US or foreign Muslims openly protest and contest world wout the Muslims the US saved around Serbia? No , nothing.

So, our tone deaf leader, Obama, thinks now is the time to praise and recognize the Muslims? Really? Maybe he just likes rubbing a once super powers face and fellow citizens face in the dirt or salt in our wounds?   

Regardless, it is terrible timing and tone deaf.

The House passed a bill to continue to fund America, except for Obama care. The President goes around every day saying the GOP wants to shut down America. Obama could tell Reid to accept the bill and not shut down the government, but he will not. He has used the bully pulpit every day to fool Americans, because he thinks we are fools.

Continue to push Obama Care, the largest tax in the history of the world, 21 taxes, which was rammed down America's throat. Most selling points were lies and it will decimate the greatest health care system in the world.

Use every crisis and murder to get registration and ultimately ban most, if not all guns.

Sign the UN Small Arms Treaty to seek to neutralize the Second Amendment.

Use the EPA rules to execute Obama's war on coal and energy prices. Bypass Congress and declare the CO2 we breathe out as a pollutant. They have added social costs and a lower than possible CO2 limit from coal to kill any future plants. Germany's green program has driven up kilowatt costs from .06 to over .20 cents today, which is badly hurting industry in that country. Spain is broke from their  green program and Obama wants that for America too. While our energy costs are lower today, Obama's objective will be to make them skyrocket. This will break America and further kill off US jobs.

EPA rules make Coal fired plants come up to the latest standards if they upgrade, which means no upgrades and eventual shut down of the plants. Coal costs .03 to .04 per kilowatt and provides 45% of our power.

The EPA may delay the alternative fuel related tax that will sharply drive up gasoline prices until after the next election. We could be energy independent and stop buying middle east oil and the indirect funding of radical Islam and terrorists. This is never discussed in the press.

Global temps are down for the past decade and the Russians say it will continue for 250 years. This year Artic ice is up 60%.

Perhaps it was Obama's plan to cut our military and cede back superpower and world influence to the Russians?

Other than his book, The Dreams of my Father, we have few clues why he wants to see America shrink in the world. I guess it is to punish America and the west for the sins of our Fathers, as Obama and his Father perceived them.

The wealth re- distribution Ponzi scheme of carbon credit trading from the US and the West is one way to cut America down to size.

I doubt Obama will ever tell us what he intended.  

Obama has had the EPA write new and never before used regulations that start his war on coal and Americans. While he may hesitate attacking foreigners, he has no such issues declaring and waging war on American energy and our citizens. After all, how do you put America in its place? One great way is to drive up energy costs, killing jobs while you say how you want just the opposite, which is Obama's game.

AS Obama said, you will be able to open a coal fired plant, but you will go bankrupt. That is all related to the new Utility Standards and the new emissions limit related to coal use. First, Obama had the EPA rule CO2, literally the air our of your mount and what plants use to make oxygen is a pollutant. Now, limiting the amount of CO2 to lower than possible for a coal fired they will not build a new one. If they improve one it must be brought up , so that will kill them.
