I have been a military wife twice.  I had a brother who was a 1st LT in the US Army in Viet Nam-Purple Heart.

I am old enough to know what is right.  I am wise enough to know what has to be done.   I stand beside my Country today.  I am a Minister and God fearing woman.   I see the handwriting on the wall.  I am praying.

“In two generations we have gone from General Patton telling his troops to grease their tanks with the enemy’s guts to an extensive purge of Navy command officers over a series of raunchy video skits. Slowly but surely we are turning the greatest armed forces into the world, into the most politically correct disarmed forces the world has ever seen.

The USS Enterprise crackdown, like the firing of General McChrystal and the push to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, completely ignore military realities for political objectives. A political military is also a useless military. Stalin’s purges of the Russian Army’s commanders left the Soviet Union completely unprepared for the Nazi attack. And the US military is being shaped along the same lines into a political military overseen by men whose chief credential is that they share the same politics as the politicians whom they serve.

A congressional report now says that the US military has too many white males at the top. Women are being kept out of the highest ranks because they lack combat experience. The report calls on the military leadership to “better reflect the racial, ethnic and gender mix of American society”. Which is code for affirmative action. If we didn’t have enough incompetents at the top, we can look forward to an affirmative action military in which the generals will be there because of the color of their skin or their gender, not because they’re the best at what they do.

The mandate that every civic institution has to reflect the multicultural politics of the liberal elites reflects their determination to impose their vision on the country by hijacking its institutions. And every institution touched by their vision has become functionally useless, incapable of performing even their simplest tasks, but always needing more money. America’s great cities have become sinkholes. The Postal Service is on the verge of extinction. And now it’s the military’s turn. 

Such dramatic overhauls of the military usually take place because it is culturally out of step with the government. Would-be tyrants, such as Turkey’s Erdogan, go after the military because it represents a barrier to absolute power. Others because the military is a barrier to their agenda. Sharon destroyed the once great IDF, purging its commanders and replacing them with political generals in order to push through his ethnic cleansing of the Jewish communities in Gaza, leading to the disastrous performance in the Second Lebanon War. The Democrats may not have anything as ambitious in mind, but they are determined to bring it culturally into line with their agenda. And that will destroy the military as anything other than a politically correct corps that will occasionally show up for UN peacekeeping missions.

The left has hated the American military because it is a vehicle of national exceptionalism:

During the Vietnam War, the Anti-War movement targeted the military as an institution and the soldier as an individual, in order to destroy America’s ability to take independent military action. Despite the abolition of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the left has continued its vocal opposition to an ROTC presence on campus. When a wounded Iraq War veteran spoke at Columbia, he was booed and jeered. Their excuse is that the military “discriminates” against transsexuals. And when that barrier too is dismantled, then there will be something else. It’s not about gays or transsexuals, it’s about a deep rooted ideological hostility to the military. Not because of any specific policy, but because of what it represents as the defenders of a country and an order that the left would like to see destroyed.

The War on Terror began a new phase of leftist terror against the military, with political organizations, the media and lawyers joining forces to demonize and demoralize the armed forces. They had a limited success until Abu Ghraib opened the door to a variety of prosecutions. The message shifted from soldiers as heroes, to soldiers as villains. Washington D.C.‘s message to the military became to be unobtrusive and avoid embarrassing us—while still getting results. From the man in the field to the man in the big office, if you do something that catches the media’s unblinking eye, we will hang you out to dry. The panic that set in after Abu Ghraib kept sending shivers through the establishment. Good men were dragged through the mud to show our good faith, our willingness to burn our own at the stake of public relations.

But the bug was always in the system. Because once the initial fighting was done, Afghanistan and Iraq became political objectives. Turning a mess of tribal warlords and urban religious factions into working democracies became the mission. A political mission laid out in Foggy Bottom by men who never have to go out and die for it. And the men who did, went on dying because it was an impossible political objective. The worse the situation became, the more their hands were tied. Forgotten by the media which once turned every death into a cause, American soldiers are dying in Afghanistan because of Rules of Engagement that are meant to win over the locals. The locals have not been won over, but the graves in military cemeteries keep on growing.

Because our governments invested their lives into the implementation of optimistic theories about human nature and democracy. A theory they had to cobble together from bits and pieces, because the reality was too ugly and uncompromisable for them to face. So they lied to us instead. And they lied to the men they sent off to die, so that wells might be dug and generators started, candy handed out to smiling children and elections held in crowded cities. Now the wells have been dug, and so have the graves, and the Taliban are still here, and the Mullahs spread their shadowy wings over the region.

Now two airmen are shot in Germany by a Kosovar Muslim, another child of our efforts to bring peace and democracy. And because German officials do not know enough to lie about what happened, the media winces and uncomfortably reports the truth, while Obama mumbles empty platitudes and PJ Crowley wonders aloud how you go about defining terrorism. That is another one of those political problems. Politicians and their camp followers are very much concerned with defining things, not according to their meanings, but their implications. Defining what happened in Frankfurt or Fort Hood as terrorism would require action. And not the politically appropriate kind.

Politics is about the manipulation of reality, but on the battlefield there is only reality itself:

Political objectives break against such realities, and when there is enough intellectual and cultural distance between the politicians and the soldiers, then the soldiers go on dying. Islam is one of those realities. The Jihadi is not a figment of some right wing blogger’s imagination, as so many of the intellectual influences on the present administration would like to believe. Nor is he a member of some tiny minority that disturbs the peace of an otherwise peaceable region. He represents the hole in the ideal world that sits on antique desks in Washington and Brussels. The blind spot of their politics, their idealism and their faith that the world is becoming a better place. Even as countless politicians and academics have decided on their golden future, a knife comes flying out of the dark places of the past. The unfinished business of history toppling the progressive towers in savagery and hate.

While the next wave of violence was being birthed in caverns and huts, the American military establishment was busy debating how to comply with the political objective of integrating gays into the military. No satirist could have come up with a more absurd scenario in wartime. But life always outdoes the satirist, if he waits around long enough. One day those solemn discussions may go down with Caligula’s horse in the Senate as moments of blinding insanity by the leaders of a great power come completely untethered from reality. They are damning because they represent a terrible disassociation from the military as a means of defending the society, to the military as a representative of the ideals of society’s political representatives.

To the politicians, the military must represent their ideals. And so the military has become the peace corps, the tolerance corps and eventually nothing but a series of defense contracts for Green energy and Global Warming defense. Give this bunch in charge another few years and the key national security objective will be defined as fighting Global Warming and the army will be recruiting environmentalists to promote sustainable living in Afghanistan. The left has never understood why we needed to fight terrorism at all, instead of its root causes, such as globalism, global warming and other things that begin with ‘G’. It is lunacy, but so was the Bush Administration’s deeply held belief that the only thing wrong with the Muslim world was a lack of voting booths.

The underlying problem is that neither administration was very clear on what the military was for. They were and are even less clear on what reality is. They used the military as a vehicle for their ideals and their global vision. The world in their minds is one great line of dominoes and they have a moral obligation to send them flying in the right direction. This childish world-image collides with reality, men die, and still the dominoes go on falling in the game rooms of their minds.

The Muslim world still understands war, a contest in which forces war to impose their will on one another. Their war is one of attrition:

It’s usually some muddled form of democracy, rights, freedoms, unions, multiculturalism, a dim murky mirror image of ourselves. But if the British couldn’t do it after generations of colonialism, what in the world makes us think that we can.

The Muslim world has hated us ever since it learned that we existed, sometimes with the calmly implacable hatred of the other, sometimes with the burning rage of frustrated honor, sometimes hidden behind unctuous smiles, and sometimes with full throated bellows of rage. In this contest we are the weaker party because we hate less. Often we do not hate at all. And like tourists wandering with money in our hands through the bazaars of Cairo, that makes us vulnerable. Our enemies pride themselves not on their strength of arms, their intelligence or competence—but on the strength of their hate. It is a fevered hate that would break itself against our arms, our intelligence and our competence—if we were to actually make use of them.

It is not that we lack the ability to defend ourselves. It is that we lack the understanding and the will. Our leaders aspire to a purity of ideals that transcends self-interest, and such Gandhian austerity is another form of death. To say that we would rather die than defend ourselves is to commit suicide. To place a society’s ideals above its survival is folly, as the society’s doom is also the doom of its ideals. And those who do this are no longer following ideals, but a peculiar and fanatical faith of their own that compels them to die rather than spill a drop of the enemy’s blood. But there is a more commonplace form of folly, to define reality narrowly by those ideals and to send men out into the trenches to die for them. After doing it a few too many times, Europe decided that it would no longer send men off to die for any reason, and then was forced to do it anyway.

Now the civilized world has decided that it will not send men off to die except for wholly unselfish reasons, pure ‘good of other men’ reasons, sanctified by the blessing of the UN and the international community. Good and pure ‘feed the starving children’ type reasons. No more greedy warmongering or cynical landgrabbing. We are now a good and pure people who rarely kill, and if we kill, it is only because we have absolutely no other choice. Why we would rather die than kill, and often do.

But war is selfish, not altruistic. It is a selfish decision to take the life of another, rather than our own or that of our loved ones or our fellow men. Its nobility comes from that very selfishness, a selfishness rooted in kinship and friendship, rather than the abstract ideals which so often come down to nothing. If we are to fight, then we must be selfish. If we are to win, then we must be realistic. Politics has no place on the battlefield. The only thing worth fighting for is ourselves. Our land, our homes, our survival. It is one thing to fight side by side in alliance with friends, but fighting wars to reform enemies is the worst sort of foolishness. We can try to transform our enemies, but then they will transform us also as well. By trying to win over Islam to our way of life, we have given it great influence over us.

To avoid casualties, we have become cleverer weaponsmiths, devising ways to avoid facing that bullet. But that cleverness often seems like cowardice. To avoid suicide bombers, Israel built up walls and border defenses. And then the terrorists began to shoot rockets over the fences. So Israel built and deployed, ‘Iron Dome’ a counter-rocket system. And after all this effort, Israel is still under siege because the enemy is still there. An enemy that Israel could easily defeat, if its leaders had the political will. All the clever technologies create a space age ghetto, surrounded by enemies who were once enclosed, but with each retreat, are the ones doing the enclosing.

The rest of the free world is cleverly building its own ghettos, dividing so that the conquerors will have an easier time of it. Worrying over the morals and ethics of their actions. Purifying its armies to reflect its ideals of tolerance, co-existence and surrendering before the first shot has even been fired.

For now the First World has the best soldiers and the worst leaders. And it would have almost be better if it were the other way around. The generals who are the interface between the two have become politicians. The armies rot, go unused or misused, and the enemy passes right around them. We can’t win if we don’t fight, and we aren’t fighting. Not for ourselves anyway. For the purity of our ideals, and for some notion that everyone is entitled to a voting booth, birth control and microfinance, but not for ourselves. And until we start fighting for ourselves, until we find leaders who want to defend a country, rather than a set of ideals, then we will go on spending the lives of our soldiers for nothing and the future of our civilization for a tin penny prize.”

“Reaction from Hispanic leaders suggests President Barack Obama’s charm offensive with Latinos in the run-up to the 2012 election may be falling flat.

Polls indicate that far fewer Hispanics say they’ll cast their vote for the president than did so in 2008.

One prominent observer of the Latino community, syndicated columnist Ruben Navarrette, Jr., is calling on Hispanics to launch a third-party movement to ensure their interests receive genuine representation rather than political pandering.

In a USA Today op-ed on Thursday, Navarrette stated that Latinos are increasingly disillusioned with Obama’s promises to push immigration reform.

“America’s largest minority needs to take a cue from the Tea Party movement and start an insurgency challenging both political parties—the one that takes them for granted and the other that writes them off,” he wrote.

In a Tuesday speech in El Paso, Texas, Obama indicated the border was secure and called for immigration reform. He charged Republicans would “want a higher fence. Maybe they’ll need a moat. Maybe they want alligators in the moat.”

Frustrated Latinos in Arizona have formed a nonpartisan “Tequila Party” movement. The group, whose primary objective is boost the Latino voter turnout in 2012, was created by a self-identified Republican.

“We believe the immigration issue has been used as a political football, and as a result of that we think it is time for politicians to work harder for the Latin vote based on issues that are important to us,” the TequilaPartyTour.com website states.

There are rising indications that Latinos may not be as susceptible to Obama’s political courtship as his advisers apparently assume. Following Obama’s speech, the nation’s largest conservative Hispanic organization, Somos Republicans, released a statement that it is “skeptical” the president “has a real intention of fixing the problem.”

Analysts have long acknowledged that Hispanics tend to share the GOP’s socially conservative agenda. But Latinos say they are deeply offended by Republicans’ support for deporting illegals even when it means breaking up families.

In March, the 6,200-member San Antonio Tea Party elected the nation’s first Hispanic tea party president, George Rodriguez. Rodriguez tells Newsmax that many Mexican-Americans remain vehemently opposed to illegal immigration and amnesty.

“Immigration has rules and we have to play by the rules,” says the 62-year-old Rodriguez, whose work for the Reagan-Bush Justice Department included a stint at the erstwhile Immigration and Naturalization Service.

“We must maintain the rule of law.”

Rodriguez tells Newsmax that many Tejanos—the ethnic term many Latinos in Texas prefer—are frustrated with President Obama’s political pandering and lip service on the topic of immigration reform. But he also chastises Republicans for the attitudes they often bring to the debate over immigration.

“I’m tired of Republicans being so condescending to Hispanics in trying to win them over,” he says. “Just tell the truth. And quit talking to us in Spanish. We speak English just fine.”

Rodriguez’s comments suggest a rising frustration among Hispanics with both political parties. That sentiment could make it more difficult for President Obama to bring them back into the fold, ultimately benefitting the Republican nominee in 2012.

The struggle over whose agenda is better for Hispanics reflects their growing power at the ballot box. The Census Bureau reported earlier this year that the Hispanic population in America is growing faster than expected. It reported the U.S. Hispanic population grew 43 percent, from 35.3 million in 2000 to 50.5 million in 2010.

Hispanics tend to vote heavily Democratic. Obama’s immigration-reform pledges helped him win 67 percent of the Hispanic vote in 2008 -- despite the fact that his GOP opponent, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, was thought to have a strong appeal to the Hispanic community.

Obama apparently has good reason to fear Latino support could waver in 2012. A recent poll by Latino Decisions and ImpreMedia showed Hispanic approval of Obama remains high at 70 percent. But the poll contained a worrisome sign that no doubt alarmed the president’s political advisers: Only 43 percent of Latino voters said they planned to vote for Obama next year.

One reason Obama may be in trouble with this part of the core Democratic constituency: The flagging economy continues to hurt Latinos. Jobs are even more important to Latinos than immigration reform, many experts say.

Republican leaders say it’s obvious that serious immigration reform can’t occur until the United States gains control of its southern border. They say Obama’s transparent effort to exploit the issue politically—after all, Democrats ignored immigration reform when they controlled both chambers of Congress—is actually hurting the interests of Hispanics.

Ken Blackwell, the former secretary of state for Ohio who is considering a run for the U.S. Senate against Democratic incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown, is staunchly critical of Obama’s politicization of the issue.

“The Obama administration has been a total disaster on the issue of immigration and border security,” Blackwell tells Newsmax. “This is a political ploy so flimsy and transparent in its insincerity that those who he would naturally be allied with are saying ‘Enough already.’

“And those of us who have been pushing for a more aggressive and clear establishment of an immigration policy that is based on making sure that we radically reduce the number of illegal immigrants, are saying this is nothing more than another Obama flim-flam,” he adds.

Even some pro-immigrant organizations blasted the president’s speech as vacuous and blatantly political.

The New York Immigration Coalition, for example, released a statement that: “The President’s speech today was, unfortunately, much ado about nothing; his expressions of support for immigration reform sound like empty promises to immigrant communities since they’re not backed up by action.”

The sharpest GOP criticisms, by contrast, were triggered by the president’s characterization of the border as more secure.

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said the president’s speech was out of touch with the reality of life near the U.S.-Mexico border.

“The President is not giving the American people a complete picture of security on our border with Mexico,” said McCaul.“While we have more resources, the border is more dangerous.”

Unfortunately for Obama, the statistics he cited in support of his view the border is safer than ever stand in rather sharp contrast to recent news headlines:

• The day before the president’s El Paso speech, a group Mexican marines stumbled upon Zeta cartel members along the lake on the Mexico-Texas border where American David Hartley was gunned down while jet skiing with his wife Tiffany in September. A fierce gun battle this week left 12 cartel suspects and one Marine dead. More than 20 guns, including several assault rifles, were seized after the shootout.
• Just days after President Obama gave his speech, two border patrol agents died in Maricopa County, Arizona, after their SUV was struck by a freight train while they were pursuing a group of suspected illegal immigrants.
• Arizona state Attorney General Tom Horne said Wednesday the United States should designate the Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. Two administration officials rejected that proposal, however.
• Steven McGraw, the head of the Texas Department of Public Safety, told Congress the drug cartels are as barbaric as al-Qaida. In the past 16 months, he said, there have been 22 murders, 24 assaults, 15 shootings, and five kidnappings in Texas directly related to the cartels.
• On the Friday before Obama’s speech, three illegals were indicted for the second degree murder near Rio Rico of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. Terry was a member of an elite tactical squad combating violent robberies in the area.

Blackwell tells Newsmax that Republicans may have an opportunity to capitalize on the growing Latino skepticism toward Obama’s promises on immigration.

“I think there really is a window of opportunity for Republicans,” he tells Newsmax, “because I don’t think the president is going to work himself out of the economic tailspin.”

“If you listen to the passengers and crew who flew on American Airlines Flight 1561 last weekend, there’s no doubt about what happened on their harrowing trip: A Yemeni man shrieking “Allahu akbar!” at the top of his lungs more than 30 times rushed the cockpit door twice intending to take down the plane and kill everyone on board.
 


The clammy, sweaty lone male passenger exhibited classic symptoms of what Middle East scholar and author Daniel Pipes has dubbed “Sudden Jihad Syndrome”—a seemingly random outbreak of threatening behavior or violence by a hysterical Muslim adherent who had not previously exhibited signs of Islamic radicalization. It took at least four men to tackle and restrain Rageh Ahmed Mohammed al-Murisi.  “There was no question in everybody’s mind that he was going to do something,” passenger Angelina Marty told the San Francisco Chronicle.
   

And no, that “something” did not mean enlisting his fellow flyers in a midair flash mob performance of the “Hallelujah Chorus.”
    


Not everyone was so grounded in reality. Bleeding-heart sympathizers seriously speculated that al-Murisi had simply mistaken clearly marked lavatory doors for the clearly marked cockpit door (because, you know, it’s normal to shout“God is great” repeatedly just before relieving yourself as your plane is about to land). Some federal authorities and media whitewashers proclaimed that al-Murisi’s motives were “unknown.”
    


If only al-Murisi had been screaming phrases from the Constitution. The Selective Motive Determination Machine—the same one that rushed to pin the Tucson massacre on the Tea Party, the GOP and Fox News without a shred of evidence—would have kicked in to full gear.
 


On Wednesday, a San Francisco judge denied al-Murisi bail. Unburdened by the paralyzing prissiness of political correctness, federal prosecutors noted that “Allahu akbar” was the same refrain invoked by the 9/11 hijackers over Shanksville, Pa., and by the would-be Christmas Day bomber over Detroit. Not to mention Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Hasan, the Frankfurt, Germany, jihadist who killed two U.S. airmen on a bus in March, the young Portland, Ore., Christmas tree lighting bomb plotter, every last suicide bomber across Europe, Africa, South Asia and the Middle East, and every last evil al-Qaida beheader broadcast on video over the past decade.   


So how, despite a massive transportation and homeland security apparatus, did al-Murisi get into this country and get on a plane? He had no keys, no luggage, $47 cash, two curious posted checks totaling $13,000, and a trove of expired and current state IDs from New York and California—where relatives said he had not notified them that he was coming. He is young, male, brought no family with him, had no job or other discernible income, and hails from the terror-coddling nation of Yemen. Yes, the same Yemen that is Osama bin Laden’s ancestral home, harbors al-Qaida operatives who are burning the “torch of jihad,” and is deemed a “special interest country” whose citizens warrant increased scrutiny by DHS when they cross the border illegally.   


As I reported last month, a federal watchdog revealed that TSA’s counterterrorism specialists failed to detect 16 separate jihad operatives who moved through target airports “on at least 23 different occasions.” Neutered by Islamophobia-phobia and an “overtime over security” mentality, our State Department consular offices’ and airline security bureaucracy’s stance toward the al-Murisis slipping through their snaking lines is:

At least the heroes of Flight 1561 who refused to sit silent learned the proper 9/11 lesson. “I swore to myself that I would never be a victim” after the 2001 attacks, passenger Larry Wright, one of the men who brought al-Murisi down, told reporters earlier this week. The only effective homeland security begins and ends with a culture of self-defense. Just as there are no atheists in foxholes, there are no “see no jihad, hear no jihad, speak no jihad” delusionists on airplanes with Allahu akbar-chanting flyers beating down doors.

“In the aftermath of the Osama bin Laden raid, the White House couldn’t get its story straight. Facts were either wrong, or few and far between. But now, a concerning admission by Defense Secretary Robert Gates shows one thing was flowing: information leaks. In fact, there have been so many leaks that the SEAL team that carried out the raid now fears for its safety.

“We are very concerned about the security of our families – of your families and our troops, and also these elite units that are engaged in things like that. And without getting into any details … I would tell you that when I met with the team last Thursday, they expressed a concern about that, and particularly with respect to their families,” Gates toldan audience of Marines at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

Then he dropped this bombshell: “Frankly, a week ago Sunday, in the Situation Room, we all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden. That all fell apart on Monday, the next day.”

Later, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Geoff Morrell confirmed Gates’s concerns to CNN: “He was indeed voicing his concern about the breakdown in operational security after the killing of Bin Laden. Anonymous sources revealing secret information about the tactics, training, and equipment of covert forces put at risk our ability to successfully mount similar missions in the future.”

Because of the loose lips, Gates said the DOD is looking into ways to “pump up the security” for the elite team.”

“Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders gave a speech last evening in Nashville at the Cornerstone Church, reproduced, below.

James Freeman Clarke (1810-1888), was an American theologian, philosopher, author, and abolitionist. He also became one of the first American scholars to study and write about Eastern religions, including, notably, Islam. Freeman Clarke’s  1883 “Ten Great Religions,” includes this  remarkably compendious assessment of Islam—a most fitting introduction to Wilders speech:

The religion of Mohammed is the exact opposite to that of Greece. If the Greek faith was inspired by humanity, variety, and freedom, that of Islam taught unity, submission, and the absolute sovereignty of one God. Every Mohammedan was the servant of the one true God, and his mission was to convert the world to Allah and to his prophet.

Islam saw God, but not man; saw the claims of deity, not the rights of humanity; saw authority, failed to see freedom,—therefore hardened into despotism…

Speech by Geert Wilders, Cornerstone Church, Nashville, 12 May 2011:

Dear friends from Tennessee. I am very happy to be in your midst today. I am happy and proud to be in this impressive church.

My friends, I am here to speak words of truth and freedom.

Do you know why America is in a better state than Europe? Because you enjoy more freedom than Europeans.

And do you know why Americans enjoy more freedom than Europeans? Because you are still allowed to tell the truth.

In Europe and Canada people are dragged to court for telling the truth about islam.

I, too, have been dragged to court. I am an elected member of the house of representatives in the Netherlands. I am currently standing in court like a common criminal for saying that islam is a dangerous totalitarian ideology rather than a religion.

The court case is still pending, but I risk a jail sentence of 16 months.

Last week, my friend Lars Hedegaard, a journalist from Denmark, was fined because in a private conservation, which was recorded without his knowing, he had criticised the way women are treated in islamic societies.

Recently, another friend, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff, a human rights activist from Austria, was fined because she had criticised islam’s founder Muhammad. She had said that Muhammad was a pedophile because he had married a 6-year old girl and raped her when she was 9.

Unfortunately, there are many similar cases.

I am especially happy to be in your midst because here I can say what I want to say without having to fear that I will be dragged to court upon leaving this church.

My dear American friends, you cannot imagine how we envy your First Amendment. The day when America follows the example of Europe and Canada and introduces so-called “hate speech crimes” which is only used to punish people who are critical of islam, that day America will have lost its freedom.

My friends, let us hope that this never happens.

Last week, we celebrated Liberation Day in the Netherlands. We celebrated the liberation from the Nazi occupation in 1945. Many American soldiers, including many young Tennesseans, played a decisive role in the liberation of the Netherlands from nazi tyranny. We are immensely grateful for that. Young Americans gave their lives so that the Dutch might be free. I assure you: The Dutch people will never forget this.

Unfortunately, however, the Europe, which your fathers and grandfathers fought and died for is not the Europe we are living in today.

I travel the world to tell people what Europe has become. I wish I could take you all on a visit to my country and show you what Europe has become. It has changed beyond recognition as a result of mass immigration. And not just any mass immigration, but mass immigration driven by the dangerous force of islam.

My friends, I am sorry. I am here today with an unpleasant message. I am here with a warning. I am here with a battle cry: “Wake up, Christians of Tennessee. Islam is at your gate.” Do not make the mistake which, Europe made. Do not allow islam to gain a foothold here.

Islam is dangerous. Islam wants to establish a state on earth, ruled by islamic sharia law. Islam aims for the submission, whether by persuasion, intimidation or violence, of all non-Muslims, including Christians.

The results can be seen in Europe.

Islam is an ideology of conquest. It uses two methods to achieve this goal: the first method is the sword. Do you know what figures on the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a country where Christian churches are banned and Christians are not even allowed to wear a tiny crucifix? There is a huge sword on that flag, just below the Islamic creed. The message is clear. Without the sword islam would not have been able to spread its creed.

The second method is immigration. Islam’s founder Muhammad himself taught his followers how to conquer through immigration when they moved from Mecca to Medina. This phenomenon of conquest through immigration is called al-Hijra. My learned friend Sam Solomon has written a perfect book about it.

I had a copy of Sam’s book sent to all the members of the Dutch Parliament. But most of them are worse than Saint-Thomas in the Bible. Thomas did not believe what he had not seen. Most politicians refuse to believe the things they see before their very eyes.

In Europe we have been experiencing al-Hijra for over 30 years now. Many of our cities have changed beyond recognition. “In each one of our cities” wrote the well-known Italian author Oriana Fallaci shortly before her death in 2006, “there is a second city, a state within the state, a government within the government. A Muslim city, a city ruled by the Koran.” – end of quote.

How did the Europeans get into this situation? It is partly our own fault because we have foolishly adopted the concept of cultural relativism, which manifests itself in the ideology of multiculturalism.

Cultural relativism advocates that all cultures are equal. However, cultures wither away and die if people no longer believe that its values are better than those of another culture.

Islam is spreading like wildfire wherever people lack the guts to say that their values are better than the Islamic values.

Islam is spreading like wildfire because the Koran explicitly tells Muslims that they are “the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind” and that non-Muslims are “the worst of creatures.”

Islam is spreading like wildfire everywhere in the West where political, academic, cultural and media elites lack the guts to proudly proclaim, as I believe we all should proclaim:

Our Judeo-Christian Western culture is far better and far superior to the islamic culture. We must be proud to say so!

Multiculturalism is a disaster. Almost everyone acknowledges this today, but few dare say why. Let me tell you why: Multiculturalism made us tolerate the intolerant, and now intolerance is annihilating tolerance.

We should, in the name of tolerance, claim the right not to tolerate the intolerant. Let us no longer be afraid and politically correct, let us be brave and bold. Let us tell the truth about islam.

“JERUSALEM – President Obama’s faith adviser, Eboo Patel, compared al-Qaida to what he called Christian “totalitarians” in the U.S. and Jewish “totalitarians” in Israel, WND has learned.

In February 2010, Obama named Patel to his Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Patel, a Muslim activist from Chicago, is the founder and executive director of Chicago-based Interfaith Youth Core, which says it promotes pluralism by teaming people of different faiths on service projects.

In an October 2009 article in a Newtopia Magazine, a liberal cultural publication, Obama’s faith adviser made the controversial comparison. The article was adapted from the text of a speech given by Patel to the Interfaith Education for a Global Society Conference in New York City in January 2002.

Stated Patel: “The problem is that we live in a time when the Muslim totalitarians are dominating. Why? Because they are building powerful institutions that propagate their interpretation of Islam – just as the Christian totalitarians in America have powerful institutions; and the Jewish totalitarians in Israel have powerful institutions; and the Hindu totalitarians in India have powerful institutions.

“What do I mean by institutions?” asked Patel. “Lobbying groups that pass policies, political organizations that get people elected, television and radio and magazines and publishing houses which articulate ideas, schools and universities, youth organizations and women’s groups, bodies which raise and distribute money.”

Patel then stated, “Al-Qaida is a network of institutions. Schools and mosques which teach 8-year-olds a certain ideology; organizations which lead them to Afghanistan; training camps which make them soldiers; manuals which offer advice on the prayers to whisper while engaging in violence. The religious identity – which is to say, the ways of being, believing and belonging in relation with the transcendent – of too many young Muslims is being shaped by these institutions.”

Patel explained his reference to Christian “totalitarianism” stems from a piece by New York Times Foreign Affairs columnist Thomas Friedman who wrote that World War III will be fought against “religious totalitarianism.”

“Religious totalitarianism is not just the belief that one religion is right,” added Patel, “but also that there is only one correct interpretation of that religion and everyone should practice it or else.”

Patel failed to explain that so-called Muslim totalitarians, like al-Qaida, use terrorism to spread their belief system.

American freedom, equality are just ‘myths’:

The Obama faith adviser recently has made other controversial remarks.

WND reported last week Patel blasted what he called the “myths” of America – describing them as beliefs that the country is “a land of freedom and equality and justice.”

Patel explained how he used the “faith-based movement” to channel his rage at America “in a direction far more compassionate and far more merciful.”

Patel further implied that had he grown up in the 1960s, he may have joined the Weather Underground terrorist group led by William Ayers.

Like Obama, Patel is deeply tied to Ayers.

In a 2007 interview with NPR to promote a book he wrote that year, Patel was asked about his “affinity” toward the radicalism of Ayers, as described in the book.

Patel replied that his own life story “is much closer to Bill Ayers,” explaining he “grew up in the same hometown” that Ayers did.

Continued Patel: “I was kind of taught the same myths about America, a land of freedom and equality and justice, et cetera, et cetera.”

“And then, when I got to college, I saw people eating out of garbage cans for dinner, and I saw Vietnam vets drinking mouthwash for the alcohol, and I thought to myself, this is not the myth that I grew up with. And, in a way, I was so, I think, immature at that time politically, that all I could do was rage.”

Patel explained how he used religion to channel his rage toward America.

“And it was a faith-based movement that came into my life that kind of directed that rage in a direction far more compassionate and far more merciful.”

Obama’s faith adviser went on to say how he may have joined Ayers’ terrorist group if he was around as an activist in the 1960s.

“One of the things that I write about in this book is, you know, had it been one of the people involved in the Weather Underground, who were sitting at my kitchen table when I was 18 years old and raging, my life could have been very different,” he said.

“That I really thank God that it was a set of people who came into my life with a very clear vision of justice. But a sense of justice emanating from Divine Mercy.”

Patel has a much deeper relationship with Ayers than he admitted in the NPR interview.

In 2005, he co-authored a book with Ayers’ adopted son, Chesa Boudin.

The book, “Letters from Young Activists: Today’s Rebels Speak Out,” was co-written by several young radicals, including Ismail Khalidi, the son of Columbia University Professor Rashid Khalidi.

WND was first to report on Obama’s close relationship with Khalidi, who has been tied to the Palestinian Liberation Organization and who has described Israel as a “racist” state with an “apartheid” system.

The preface of Patel’s 2005 book, meanwhile, was written by Ayers’ wife, Weather Underground co-founder Bernardine Dohrn.

Dohrn describes the book as “a clarion call of hope, defiance, critical analysis, humor, irony, and self-conscious insistence that the queer, the Palestinian, the immigrant, the privileged, the children of prisoners and hip-hopsters have arrived.”

The back cover of the book boasts an endorsement from Mumia Abu-Jamal, the convicted cop-killer and former member of the Black Panther Party.

On the acknowledgments page, Patel and co-authors thank Ayers himself for “guidance” and “encouragement.”

Hamas co-conspirator:

Patel is part of the official speaker’s bureau of the Islamic Society of North America, an unindicted co-conspirator in a scheme to raise money for Hamas.

From his own comments, Patel apparently is a member of ISNA. Upon the August 2007 election of the group’s president, Ingrid Mattson, Patel told USA Today, “I’m proud to have her elected as my president.”

Patel also served last year on a panel at ISNA’s annual convention in Washington.

He has written columns for the Washington Post and Huffington Post that promote ISNA events.

Ground Zero mosque:

Patel is also tied to Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the controversial Islamic leader behind the proposed $100 million, 13-story Islamic cultural center and mosque two blocks from the site of the 9/11 attacks.

Rauf wrote the afterword to Patel’s 2006 book, “Building the Interfaith Youth Movement: Beyond Dialogue to Action.”

Patel is listed as one of 15 “Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow” on the website for the American Society for Muslim Advancement, which is led by Rauf.

In Patel’s 2007 book, “Saving Each Other, Saving Ourselves,” he recounts discussing with Rauf the future of Islam in the U.S.

Rauf “understood the vision immediately and suggested that I visit him and his wife, Daisy Khan, at their home the following evening,” Patel recalled.

Khan founded the society with her husband and has aided him in his plans for the mosque near Ground Zero.

“The living room of their apartment on the Upper West Side was set up like a mosque, with prayer rugs stretched from wall to wall,” wrote Patel in his book.

Continued Patel: “I arrived at dusk, prayed the maghrib prayer with Daisy and Imam Feisal and then talked with them about how America, with its unique combination of religious devotion and religious diversity, was the ideal place for a renewal of Islam.

“In the 20^th century, Catholicism and Judaism underwent profound transformations in America,” Patel observed. “I think, this century, in America, Islam will do the same.”

‘Critical mass’ of Muslims in U.S.

“Islam is a religion that has always been revitalized by its migration,” Patel wrote. “America is a nation that has been constantly rejuvenated by immigrants. There is now a critical mass of Muslims in America.”

Patel last March wrote a Huffington Post piece referring to Obama’s former “green jobs” czar Van Jones as a “faith hero.”

“In my last post on Van, I called him an American patriot,” wrote Patel. “That is high praise in my book. But watching Van’s speech at the NAACP, I have another title for him, one that I reserve for the true giants of history. Van Jones is a faith hero.”

Jones resigned in September after it was exposed he founded a communist revolutionary organization and signed a statement that accused the Bush administration of possible involvement in the Sept. 11 attacks. Jones also called for “resistance” against the U.S.

Jones previously stated his advocacy for green jobs was part of a broader movement to destroy the U.S. capitalist system.

WND reported that one day after the Sept. 11 attacks, Jones led a vigil that expressed solidarity with Arab and Muslim Americans as well as with what he called the victims of “U.S. imperialism” around the world.

President Obama: Stop the Jokes - Secure the Border!

Almost a year ago, Governor Jan Brewer invited President Barack Obama to visit the Arizona border. He declined. Since then, the Federal Government sued the State of Arizona for doing the job the feds won't do.

Brewer has been celebrated by many for taking action to enforce laws that Washington has long ignored, those who oppose the law continue to choose pithy punch lines over responsible and pragmatic action.

Two days ago in El Paso, President Obama decided once again that Arizona’s unsecured borders and illegal immigration crisis are a laughing matter. Unfortunately, no one in Arizona is laughing.

In The Gospel According to St. Matthew, in Chapter 6, Jesus said, “in earth as it is in heaven. . .But seek ye first the kingdom of God.” Christians say, “in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us of our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil”—no mention of the kingdom of God.  As Christians have it, God is an almighty in a place called Heaven, and God’s vicars are the Almighty’s earthly messengers.  That is not the way Jesus put it.  Is Christianity a good fit? I don’t think so.  It is living in the past. I’m in touch with the God of tomorrow—everyone’s God.

In Jesus’ first Galilean ministry, in Mark 1:14-15, “Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, ‘The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God is at hand. . . In Mark 1:17, Jesus said, “Come ye after me and I will make you fishers of men.”  “The time is fulfilled” had to do with what had gone before and the kingdom of God was internal.   Without the kingdom of God, the news today is about as bad as it gets.

We find many problems here, but hey! You can’t know what to do until you know what you did wrong.  That’s something successful people have learned.   The unsuccessful, those depending on government, who don’t know the truth, are not concerned so much with how it got this way but with how we can make it better.  They don’t know the kingdom of God.  They are looking for pie in the sky.  How about living for a change!   That’s what you are here to do.

Jesus saying the time is fulfilled reminds me of what went on in the “Old Testament.”  Toward the end of the “Old Testament,” Habakkuk 1:2- “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!”  What comes around goes around.  Too bad about Israel. In today’s news, the headlines: “Taliban ‘Avenges’ bin Laden Killing.”  Will they never learn?

A Christian, Obama’s pastor for 20 years, Rev. Wright “God damned” America.  A rap singer who calls himself Commons says he started going to Rev. Wright’s church when he was eight.  He hates cops, and we’ve learned, so does Obama. I refer to the incident in Cambridge.    Commons was recently an honored guest at the Whitehouse.   

In Matthew 23:13, Jesus said, “. . .woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom heaven against men. . .”  Right on! Heaven is a place; the kingdom of God is internal.   Obama’s religion calls for collective transformation.  He holds Marxist values.  He supports the Islamic Brotherhood.   “O Lord, how long shall I cry . . .” Will they never learn?

We are now leaving the Age of Pisces, an age of orthodoxy and authoritarianism, entering the Age of Aquarius, when people hate hypocrisy of any kind, an age when people are stubborn in their belief, and operate as equals dealing with equals, an age of brotherhood and fraternity. It is written in the stars.

Last February, I opened my own Web site and named it www.mymiraclemessage.com.   At this writing, I’ve received 5,377 comments, most very favorable.  My thinking is far from the mainstream. You never hear it on the news.  We all know the problem.  People are coming around to my thoughts on the cure.

WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!

“As Obama continues to politicize and mine the takedown of Osama Bin Laden and the outrageous “Islamic burial” that followed, new details emerge of his reluctance and refusal to sign off on the mission.

It is the height of hypocrisy and crass opportunism to draw out the release of the death photos so as to prolong the news cycle on the story, and to neglect the tornado-ravaged parts of the country—instead, Obama campaigns at Ground Zero on Thursday for an “O-victory lap,” while it appears that in fact Obama had to be dragged kicking and screaming to the OBL operation.

The story that follows is deeply disturbing, but hardly surprising. When news broke that Obama rejected bombing the complex last month, one had to wonder why. It was reported that Obama feared collateral damage, despite being assured that the walls of the complex were high enough so that no civilians would be killed. Instead, he risked losing Americans in a mano-a-mano raid.

A reluctant American president who was ultimately overridden by senior military and intelligence officials to finally take out terrorist Osama Bin Laden… Ulstermann (hat tip CO)

Note: This update comes some 24 hours after our longtime Washington D.C. Insider first outlined shocking details of an Obama administration having been “overruled” by senior military and intelligence officials leading up to the successful attack against terrorist Osama Bin Laden.  What follows is further clarification of Insider’s insights surrounding that event.

You stated that President Obama was “overruled” by military/intelligence officials regarding the decision to send in military specialists into the Osama Bin Laden compound.  Was that accurate?

A: I was told – in these exact terms, “we overruled him.” (Obama)  I have since followed up and received further details on exactly what that meant, as well as the specifics of how Leon Panetta worked around the president’s “persistent hesitation to act.” 

There appears NOT to have been an outright overruling of any specific position by President Obama, simply because there was no specific position from the president to do so.  President Obama was, in this case, as in all others, working as an absentee president.

Was correct in stating there had been a push to invade the compound for several weeks if not months, primarily led by Leon Panetta, Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates, David Petraeus, and Jim Clapper. 

The primary opposition to this plan originated from Valerie Jarrett, and it was her opposition that was enough to create uncertainty within President Obama. 

Obama would meet with various components of the pro-invasion faction, almost always with Jarrett present, and then often fail to indicate his position. 

This situation continued for some time, though the division between Jarrett/Obama and the rest intensified more recently, most notably from Hillary Clinton.  She was livid over the president’s failure to act, and her office began a campaign of anonymous leaks to the media indicating such. 

As for Jarrett, her concern rested on two primary fronts.  One, that the military action could fail and harm the president’s already weakened standing with both the American public and the world.  Second, that the attack would be viewed as an act of aggression against Muslims, and further destabilize conditions in the Middle East. 

Q: What changed the president’s position and enabled the attack against Osama Bin Laden to proceed?

A:  Nothing changed with the president’s opinion – he continued to avoid having one.  Every time military and intelligence officials appeared to make progress in forming a position, Jarrett would intervene and the stalling would begin again. 

Hillary started the ball really rolling as far as pressuring Obama began, but it was Panetta and Petraeus who ultimately pushed Obama to finally act – sort of. 

Panetta was receiving significant reports from both his direct CIA sources, as well as Petraeus-originating Intel.  Petraeus was threatening to act on his own via a bombing attack.  Panetta reported back to the president that a bombing of the compound would result in successful killing of Osama Bin Laden, and little risk to American lives. 

Initially, as he had done before, the president indicated a willingness to act.  But once again, Jarrett intervened, convincing the president that innocent Pakistani lives could be lost in such a bombing attack, and Obama would be left attempting to explain Panetta’s failed policy. 

Again Obama hesitated – this time openly delaying further meetings to discuss the issue with Panetta.  A brief meeting was held at this time with other officials, including Secretary Gates and members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, but Gates, like Panetta, was unable to push the president to act. 

It was at this time that Gates indicated to certain Pentagon officials that he may resign earlier than originally indicated – he was that frustrated.  Both Panetta and Clinton convinced him to stay on and see the operation through.

What happened from there is what was described by me as a “masterful manipulation” by Leon Panetta. 

Panetta indicated to Obama that leaks regarding knowledge of Osama Bin Laden’s location were certain to get out sooner rather than later, and action must be taken by the administration or the public backlash to the president’s inaction would be “…significant to the point of political debilitation.” 

It was at that time that Obama stated an on-ground campaign would be far more acceptable to him than a bombing raid.  This was intended as a stalling tactic, and it had originated from Jarrett. 

Such a campaign would take both time, and present a far greater risk of failure.  The president had been instructed by Jarrett to inform Mr. Panetta that he would have sole discretion to act against the Osama Bin Laden compound.  Jarrett believed this would further delay Panetta from acting, as the responsibility for failure would then fall almost entirely on him. 

What Valerie Jarrett, and the president, did not know is that Leon Panetta had already initiated a program that reported to him –and only him, involving a covert on the ground attack against the compound.  Basically, the whole damn operation was already ready to go – including the specific team support Intel necessary to engage the enemy within hours of being given notice.  Panetta then made plans to proceed with an on-ground assault. This information reached either Hillary Clinton or Robert Gates first (likely via military contacts directly associated with the impending mission) who then informed the other.  Those two then met with Panetta, who informed each of them he had been given the authority by the president to proceed with a mission if the opportunity presented itself. 

Both Gates and Clinton warned Panetta of the implications of that authority – namely he was possibly being made into a scapegoat.  Panetta admitted that possibility, but felt the opportunity to get Bin Laden outweighed that risk.  During that meeting, Hillary Clinton was first to pledge her full support for Panetta, indicating she would defend him if necessary.  Similar support was then followed by Gates. 

The following day, and with Panetta’s permission, Clinton met in private with Bill Daley and urged him to get the president’s full and open approval of the Panetta plan.  Daley agreed such approval would be of great benefit to the action, and instructed Clinton to delay proceeding until he had secured that approval. 

Daley contacted Clinton within hours of their meeting indicating Jarrett refused to allow the president to give that approval. 

Daley then informed Clinton that he too would fully support Panetta in his actions, even if it meant disclosing the president’s indecision to the American public should that action fail to produce a successful conclusion. 

Clinton took that message back to Panetta and the CIA director initiated the 48 hour engagement order.  At this point, the President of the United States was not informed of the engagement order – it did not originate from him, and for several hours after the order had been given and the special ops forces were preparing for action into Pakistan from their position in Afghanistan, Daley successfully kept Obama and Jarrett insulated from that order.

This insulation ended at some point with an abort order that I believe originated from Valerie Jarrett’s office, and was then followed up by President Obama.

This abort order was later explained as a delay due to weather conditions, but the actual conditions at that time would have been acceptable for the mission. A storm system had been in the area earlier, but was no longer an issue. Check the data yourself to confirm.

Jarrett, having been caught off guard, was now scrambling to determine who had initiated the plan. She was furious, repeating the acronym “CoC” and saying it was not being followed. This is where Bill Daley intervened directly. The particulars of that intervention are not clear to me beyond knowing he did meet with Jarrett in his office and following that meeting, Valerie Jarrett was not seen in the West Wing for some time, and apparently no longer offered up any resistance to the Osama Bin Laden mission. What did follow from there was one or more brief meetings between Bill Daley, Hillary Clinton, a representative from Robert Gates’ office, a representative from Leon Panetta’s office, and a representative from Jim Clapper’s office.

I have to assume that these meetings were in essence, detailing the move to proceed with the operation against the Osama Bin Laden compound. I have been told by more than one source that Leon Panetta was directing the operation with both his own CIA operatives, as well as direct contacts with military – both entities were reporting to Panetta only at this point, and not the President of the United States.

There was not going to be another delay as had happened 24 hour earlier. The operation was at this time effectively unknown to President Barack Obama or Valerie Jarrett and it remained that way until AFTER it had already been initiated.

President Obama was literally pulled from a golf outing and escorted back to the White House to be informed of the mission. Upon his arrival there was a briefing held which included Bill Daley, John Brennan, and a high ranking member of the military. When Obama emerged from the briefing, he was described as looking “very confused and uncertain.” The president was then placed in the situation room where several of the players in this event had already been watching the operation unfold. Another interesting tidbit regarding this is that the Vice President was already “up to speed” on the operation. A source indicated they believe Hillary Clinton had personally made certain the Vice President was made aware of that day’s events before the president was. The now famous photo released shows the particulars of that of that room and its occupants.

What that photo does not communicate directly is that the military personnel present in that room during the operation unfolding, deferred to either Hillary Clinton or Robert Gates. The president’s role was minimal, including their acknowledging of his presence in the room.

At the conclusion of the mission, after it had been repeatedly confirmed a success, President Obama was once again briefed behind closed doors.  The only ones who went in that room besides the president were Bill Daley. John Brennan, and a third individual whose identity remains unknown to me.  When leaving this briefing, the president came out of it“…much more confident. Much more certain of himself.”  He was also carrying papers in his hand that quite possibly was the address to the nation given later that evening on the Bin Laden mission.  The president did not have those papers with him prior to that briefing.

The president then returned to the war room, where by this time, Leon Panetta had personally arrived and was receiving congratulations from all who were present.

In my initial communication to you of these events I described what unfolded as a temporary Coup initiated by high ranking intelligence and military officials. I stand by that term.  These figures worked around the uncertainty of President Obama and the repeated resistance of Valerie Jarrett."

We have seen a generation go by without an U.S. Energy Policy.  We should have had one back in the 1970's.  Why has Congress and each succeeding Administration not implemented an energy policy?  Who benefits by the U.S. not having an energy policy?  We know who suffers, i.e., the U.S. Citizen.  Is this a conspiracy to benefit a group of people?  Is it a Congressional paralysis?  Is it possible that each and every Administration since the 1970's has suffered a paralysis of analysis?  Is Congress getting orders from the International bankers not to pass an Energy Policy?  Who or what is preventing the Congress from generating something as important as an Energy Policy without which the welfare of the U.S. is being adversely affected?  What is really going on?  It seems to me that it is not Rocket Science to generate an Energy policy.  It has been 40 years in the non-making.  Congress should have been able to generate at least 20 Energy policies during that time.  What is keeping them from doing their job?

In listening to the Democrats drill the oil executives (not drilling for oil but drilling the oil executives) on CSPAN one of them made the comment that we should spread the suffering wherein one of oil executives replied that we should increase the prosperity instead.  Bravo for him!

With no Energy policy we do not know who benefits but we surely know who is suffering with high gas prices at the pump.

Raising the taxes on oil companies will ultimately prevent them for competing on the world market with foreign oil companies who pay less taxes.  This ultimately will result in higher gas prices and increased U.S. unemployment.  But I get the distinct impression that the Democrats and possibly some of the Republicans don't really care if we pay higher prices at the pump.

Who gets the lions share of the oil revenue?  Would you believe the Federal and State governments get 50% of the revenue. 

In this drilling of the oil executives there was no reference made to cutting spending.  Just give us more money so we can spend more seemed to be the underlying theme of the Democrats. 

The oil executives have indicated that the numbers show that if they were allowed to drill more here in the U.S (lifting the current restrictions on retreving oil) the revenue that Congress is seeking would be forthcoming, in fact, upwards to One Trillion dollars.  So the question is why are they tying the hands of the oil companies from retreving oil here in the USA?  Again, who benefits by not allowing drilling?  So the democrats are basicly of the opinion that it is ok for the people to pay higher prices at the pump as long as the government gets the lion share of the revenue and the oil companies can survive on a limited profit basis.  It is my understanding that the oil companies make approximately 6 cents on a gallon of gas and the combined Federal and States revenue intake is approximately 50 percent of a gallon of gas.  Correct me if I am wrong!  That would be current approximately $2.00 per gallon at the current $4.00 per gallon of gas.  They don't want the oil companies to go out of business...no ...no....they just want more for their spending sprees. 

Again the question arises WHO BENEFITS BY THE U.S. NOT HAVING AN ENERGY POLICY?

It works by siphoning off hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign contributions that would have gone to the Democratic Party in normal times, and putting those contributions at the personal disposal of Mr. Soros. He then uses that money to buy influence and loyalty where he sees fit. In 2003, Soros set up a network of privately-owned groups which acts as a shadow or mirror image of the Party. It performs all the functions we would normally expect the real Democratic Party to perform, such as shaping the Party platform, fielding candidates, running campaigns, and so forth.  However, it performs these functions under the private supervision of Mr. Soros and his associates. The Shadow Party derives its power from its ability to raise huge sums of money.  By controlling the Democrat purse strings, the Shadow Party can make or break any Democrat candidate by deciding whether or not to fund him. During the 2004 election cycle, the Shadow Party raised more than $300 million for Democrat candidates, prompting one of its operatives, MoveOn PAC director Eli Pariser, to declare, 'Now it’s our party.  We bought it, we own it…'"

Soros in 2004 spent some $26 million trying, unsuccessfully, to defeat President Bush’s reelection bid, a task Soros called “the central focus of my life” and “a matter of life and death.” He has likened Republicans generally, and the Bush administration in particular, to “the Nazi and communist regimes” in the sense that they are “all engaged in the politics of fear.”

“Indeed,” he wrote in 2006, “the Bush administration has been able to improve on the techniques used by the Nazi and Communist propaganda machines by drawing on the innovations of the advertising and marketing industries.” Soros elaborated on this theme at the January 2007 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he told reporters: “America needs to . . . go through a certain de-Nazification process.”



Soros has been a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton, who, in turn, has long admired Soros and shares many of his agendas. 

At a 2004 "Take Back America" conference in Washington, DC, Mrs. Clinton introduced Soros with these words:

“Now, among the many people who have stood up and said, ‘I cannot sit by and let this happen to the country I love,’ is George Soros, and I have known George Soros for a long time now, and I first came across his work in the former Soviet Union, in Eastern Europe, when I was privileged to travel there, both on my own and with my husband on behalf of our country. ...  [W]e need people like George Soros, who is fearless, and willing to step up when it counts.” (Cited in David Horowitz and Richard Poe, The Shadow Party, p. 53) 

In December of 2006, Soros met with Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama in his (Soros') New York office. Soros had previously hosted a fundraiser for Obama during the latter's 2004 campaign for the Senate. On January 16, 2007, Obama announced the creation of a presidential exploratory committee, and within hours Soros sent the senator a contribution of $2,100, the maximum amount allowable under campaign finance laws. Later that week the New York Daily News reported that Soros would back Obama over Senator Hillary Clinton, whom he had supported in the past. Soros' announcement was seen as a repudiation of Clinton's presidential aspirations, though Soros said he would support the New York senator were she to win the Democratic nomination.



By the time Obama was elected, it was clear that his economic and political prescriptions for America were quite consistent with those of Soros.

For example, in a November 2008 interview with Spiegel, Soros made some comments, which foreshadowed precisely the course that President Obama's administration would eventually pursue in 2009.

Said Soros:

"I think we need a large stimulus package which will provide funds for state and local government to maintain their budgets ... For such a program to be successful, the federal government would need to provide hundreds of billions of dollars. In addition, another infrastructure program is necessary. In total, the cost would be in the 300 to 600 billion dollar range…. I think this is a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U.S. needs a cap and trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights. I would use the revenues from these auctions to launch a new, environmentally friendly energy policy."

The interviewer then said: "Your proposal would be dismissed on Wall Street as 'big government.' Republicans might call it European-style 'socialism.'"

Soros replied:

"That is exactly what we need now. I am against market fundamentalism. I think this propaganda that government involvement is always bad has been very successful -- but also very harmful to our society…. I think it is better to have a government that wants to provide good government than a government that doesn't believe in government…. At times of recession, running a budget deficit is highly desirable."
