When Drawing Muhammad, It Depends on Who Wields the Pen
By the way leftists have yammered this week, one gets the impression they believe there might be a right to draw Muhammad, an image offensive to many Muslims, but it’s a freedom conditional on who wields the pen — and even then there are limits. On Sunday, Bosch Fawstin won the top prize at the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) Muhammad-drawing contest in Garland, Texas. It was an image of Muhammad materializing under the artist's pencil. He holds a sword aloft and he's saying, "You can't draw me!" The artist in the picture replies, "That's why I draw you." Meanwhile, two jihadists, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, made the 1,000-mile road trip from Phoenix, Arizona. In the car, Simpson and Soofi had rifles, body armor and ammo with which they were going to silence Fawstin and as many other infidels as possible. Thankfully, an armed police officer protecting the free speech rights of those gathered in that auditorium stopped the two cold before they could do more than wound a single security guard. But instead of garnering the support of the Leftmedia — as it gave to Charlie Hebdo's cartoonists and editors after the massacre at its offices, insincere as it was — the liberal talking heads turned on AFDI and said no one at the event had any right drawing Muhammad. Maybe it was because the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled AFDI an anti-Muslim hate group. Maybe it was because a good guy with a gun decided the final outcome of the day.  -The Patriot Post

.HILLY’S LEFTWARD SPRINT CHEERS DEMS
Why do politicians pander? Because it works. Presumptive Democratic nominee Hilly Clinton has been continually buffeted by scandal since March 2 and faces concerns among primary voters about her coming coronation. The response to the allegations against the candidate and her organization – payola for official favors as secretary of state and destruction of tens of thousands of emails from her time in office – has been a botch. Clinton’s husband and daughter are trying to defend the family’s buckracking, but they’re trying to do it whilst on a luxury African tour that highlights the family’s unsavory connections. So what’s the candidate – especially one who was upended as a frontrunner eight years ago – to do? Go left. And she is sprinting that way.
[‘Shred’ may not have been the word you were looking for - Bill Clinton in an interview with CNN reportedly said “suggestions of improper funding to the Clinton Foundation ‘won’t fly... not a shred of evidence.’”]
The latest and most aggressive flip is Clinton’s move on illegal immigration in which she vowed to go beyond the temporary executive amnesty from President nObama that’s currently being blocked by the courts. That’s a big veer. But she’s benefitting from such tactics. A new poll from NYT/CBS News found that while 81 percent of Democrats found Clinton honest and trustworthy, just 40 percent of independents did. This is the first time that the poll has asked the question, but it suggests that in addition to the “Faberge egg” phenomenon, Clinton may be helped by primary voters feeling better since she started running as an nObama Democrat.
[De Blasio warming up for Hilly endorsement - Appearing on MSNBC, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio praised Clinton’s increasingly liberal stances on issues like immigration and criminal justice.]
Perhaps this is Clinton revealing her true feelings. But if it is candor and not pander, though, there is still the character question of why Clinton previously misled voters. And there is the larger issue: The Clinton brand is based on pragmatic centrism, not ideology. As Mitt Romney found out, candidates who start with a trust deficit do not, in fact, get to shake their Etch A Sketches. Even a candidate who gets away with ducking the press for months at a time will eventually have to answer reporters’ questions about the scandals and her congressional testimony about the emails is coming up later this month. As the scandal stuff bumps and bruises its way forward, it seems unlikely that general election voters will be of a mind to take her word on questions of pinwheeling policy stances.  -Fox News

N.H. lead gets a trim -   Support for Democratic frontrunner Hilly Clinton has dropped and her lead over potential Democratic rivals has slipped according to a new WMUR poll of likely New Hampshire primary voters. Clinton is the favorite of 51 percent to Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s 20 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders at 13 percent. In WMUR’s February poll, 58 percent backed Clinton to Warren’s 14 percent and Sanders’ 6 percent. “‘Hilly Clinton is still the frontrunner,’ survey center director Andrew Smith [told WMUR]. ‘She is the frontrunner largely because Democrats think she is the most electable in November 2016. But there is evidence that a significant bloc of progressive Democratic primary voters are not happy with the Clinton candidacy.’”  -Fox News

Dem debates will draw out challengers -   The Democratic Party is sanctioning six presidential debates. That’s sounds like quite a few for a field currently consisting of presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton and a self-described socialist senator from Vermont who isn’t even a registered Democrat. But the debate announcement will change the shape of the field. Chris Stirewalt gives you the lowdown, in 60 seconds. WATCH HERE.  -Fox News

Canadian judge frees former teen terrorist who killed US Army medic
(Maxim Lott) - A former teen terrorist who killed a U.S. Army Delta Force medic in Afghanistan in 2002 was released on bail Thursday by a Canadian judge, a move that allows the former Guantanamo Bay detainee to appeal his U.S. conviction while free.... Omar Khadr, a Canadian citizen, was just 15 when he threw the grenade that killed U.S. Army medic Christopher Speer as Speer and four others cleared a building in the Khost province following an air raid. Captured at the scene, Khadr admitted carrying out the act years later while in Guantanamo. A U.S. judge sentenced him in 2010 to eight years in prison, and the federal government allowed the Toronto native to serve his term in Canada. Khadr, who has been appealing the conviction while imprisoned in Canada, was granted bail by an Edmonton appeals judge who upheld a lower court ruling that his sentence could be cut short due to "good behavior." Critics say Khadr has not paid the price, and dispute the Canadian judge's jurisdiction to cut short a sentence imposed by the U.S.       http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/05/07/canadian-judge-could-spring-former-teen-terrorist-who-killed-us-army-medic/?intcmp=latestnews

Globalists Using Muslim Terrorists as Pawns
(Alex Newman) - Jihadists beware: You are being used as pawns and useful idiots for a much deeper agenda. The evidence is clear, and the goals are relatively transparent... The nObama administration plans to begin more military training and arming of “moderate” jihadists in Syria as soon as this week, according to U.S. defense officials cited in media reports. The U.S. government’s stepped-up military support for “vetted” Syrian jihadists is ostensibly aimed at helping them battle less moderate Islamists in ISIS — a terrorist group that both Vice President loose lips Joe Biden and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Martin Dempsey have admitted was armed and funded by Obama’s “anti-ISIS” coalition in the war on Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.       http://www.thenewamerican.com/world-news/item/20835-globalists-using-muslim-terrorists-as-pawns?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_campaign=996673e647-The_Editors_Top_Picks_3_12_143_12_2014&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_8ca494f2d2-996673e647-289778381

The proposal to raise taxes to pay for road improvements failed to gain even 20 percent support. (AP)
Michigan's vote should show Republicans the way
(washingtonexaminer.com) - Voters in Michigan made their voices clear on Tuesday. A statewide referendum was held on whether to raise state sales and gas taxes to pay for road repairs that had been neglected in favor of other government spending... It wasn't close — in fact, the proposed constitutional amendment didn't even crack 20 percent support. But Michigan voters, who will be heavily courted in the 2016 election, did not just reject another tax increase. They also rejected an attempt by one small but well-moneyed set of businesses to plunder everyone else. In doing so, they showed how a message against crony capitalism can resonate with a Blue- or Purple-state electorate. The Republican candidates for president would be wise to take this lesson into account as they plan for next year.       http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/michigans-vote-should-show-republicans-the-way/article/2564115?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI%20-%2005/07/15&utm_medium=email

There is "a steady decline in support for redistributive government," notes Thomas Edsall, the longtime Washington Post reporter now writing for the New York Times.
 Why Americans oppose economic redistribution
(Michael Barone) - Skeptics about democracy in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries argued that the enfranchised masses would use their votes to seize the property of the relatively few rich. What could be more natural?...But it hasn't happened, in this country or abroad, to anything like the extent that those would-be Cassandras feared. Nonetheless, we continue to hear calls for economic redistribution, the clinical term for public policies transferring money from the relatively few rich to the much more numerous non-rich. We also hear cries of frustration from advocates of such polices. The latest example is Thomas Edsall, the longtime Washington Postreporter now writing for the New York Times. Unlike most other liberal reporters, who are optimistic cheerleaders for their team, Edsall has long been alert to signs of liberalism's weakness.       http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/why-americans-oppose-economic-redistribution-despite-income-inequality/article/2563973?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI%20-%2005/07/15&utm_medium=email

State Won’t Review Secret Clinton Charity Donations
(Keith Koffler) - The State Department today said it would not review foreign government donations made to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State – donations that were not revealed, in violation of a memorandum of understanding with the White House... “The State Department has not, and does not intend, to initiate a formal review or to make a retroactive judgment about items that were not submitted during Secretary Clinton’s tenure,” said State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke. Well, okay, State Department reporters, including AP’s indefatigable Matt Lee, had a rather obvious question for Jeff, which is, “Why not?”        http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2015/05/07/state-review-secret-clinton-charity-donations/?awt_l=59AKM&awt_m=3gP_eSb8m0TM1Od

‘Most’ of the Relief Money to Iran Won’t Fund Terrorism
(Joseph Perticone) - Treasury Secretary Jack Lew acknowledged that large sums of money will be given to Iran as part of the sanctions relief, adding that “most” of it won’t directly fund terrorist operations in the Middle East... Speaking at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy’s 30th Anniversary Gala last week, Lew alluded to the sanctions relief process and state-funded terrorism concerns. Lew continued, adding that the nObama administration shares those concerns. He also insisted that the administration will maintain sanctions that specifically address “these terrorist activities.” Lew assured the attendees that “most” of the relief money given to Iran will not fund terrorism. What a big fat lie.       https://www.ijreview.com/2015/05/312110-jack-lew-assures-relief-money-wont-fund-iran-terrorism/

Expert Cast Doubt on Threat ISIS has 71 Soldiers in 15 states
(Edwin Mora) - Some experts question the credibility of a threat alleging that the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) has 71 trained jihadists inside the United States ready to attack... Most experts believe the 71 figure is inaccurate and that the threat is only inspired by ISIS, not directly linked to the group, adding that it is an opportunistic attempt to instill fear and disseminate propaganda. Nevertheless, they did not dismiss the possibility that some trained soldiers linked to ISIS are operating in the country. Some said the threat should be investigated and taken seriously but with a grain of salt.        http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/05/07/experts-cast-doubt-on-threat-that-isis-has-71-trained-soldiers-in-15-us-states/

.
(factsnotfantasy.blogspot.com) - Thanks to an infection and the antibiotics taken to rid myself of it, I have had several days of being able to do little more than watch the news on television, listen to it on the radio, and reading about it in my daily edition of The Wall Street Journal. If there was anything else happening in the world, you would not know it because it was 24-7 Baltimore, Baltimore, Baltimore.
.
Specifically, it was about the arrest and death of Freddie Gray, a known drug dealer and user with an extensive rap sheet. There are different descriptions of the manner of his death, but the details of the autopsy are still obscure beyond a reference to having received a blow to his spine. This is attributed to having been placed in the police van, shackled hand and foot, but not having a safety belt applied.
.
The response from a certain element of Baltimoreans was to begin to loot, vandalize and set fire to their own neighborhoods by way of protesting alleged police brutality. This followed his funeral on Monday. The Mayor’s response was to tell the police to stand down and let the protesters have their way. When that predictably did not work, the National Guard was called in and a curfew imposed.
.
Capping these events was the indictment of the six arresting officers by the State’s Attorney General, Marilyn Mosby that included charges of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. That seemed to appease the mob that passes for Baltimore’s citizens.
.
I wish I could say I have sympathy for Freddie Gray and his family, but I don’t. I wish I could say that I feel sorry that Baltimore has been a state of decline and decay since the last riots in 1968, but no one asks why the trillions of dollars poured in comparable cities since the days of Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty” hasn’t demonstrated any results.
.
I wish I could say that the connecting factor between Baltimore, Detroit, and other Democrat-controlled cities was the primary reason that their citizens suffer unemployment, why their children attend schools that fail to teach them even fundamental skills, but what has evolved in these distressed cities is a culture that does not emphasize the traditional family, demand better education, and replaces the work ethic with the “entitlement” check. The Baltimore mother who chastised her son to keep him from participating in the riot is single and has five other children.
.
These cities are daily crime scenes. The riot was a crime scene.
.
And who is accused of Freddie Gray’s death? Members of the Baltimore Police Force who initially spotted Gray, a 25 year old with a criminal record, and went to investigate what they had observed. He ran. They ran after him. That’s what we want and expect our police to do.
.
The indictment, a purely political act intended to quell the angry mood of those Baltimoreans who protested by committing crimes, is an attack on every police officer in America. Most are good men and women, but like any other profession, there are some bad ones. The legion of police who protect us do not go around murdering suspects indiscriminately.
.
Tell that to State Attorney Mosby. Then consider that Freddie Gray’s attorney, William H. Murphy, Jr. donated $5,000 to her campaign. Consider that her husband, Nick Mosby, is a Baltimore city councilman with lots of reason to see the riots quelled.
.
What these cities and the decades reaching back to the 1960s all represent is a vocal resentment of police authority. Back then they were called “pigs.” America has been drifting away from the traditional respect and regard we have had for our police.
.
The problem isn’t the police.
.
It’s liberal notion that raising taxes and heavily regulating businesses large and small will somehow attract them to our cities. It doesn’t work that way. Our cities have become great dumping grounds for people who interest the Democratic Party only around election time.
.
And that is a problem for the police. It will be a growing problem for everyone if we cannot return to a decent respect for our police.
.
So, for now, a pox on Baltimore and on all the politicians from the President on down who keep telling us the police are the problem, not the world of Freddie Gray’s roaming our city’s streets.

Cinco de Obama - Estúpido!!!

By Craig Andresen – The National Patriot and Right Side Patriots on cprworldwidemedia.net

It seems to be high time that we, in this country, pay due respect to the Mexican Army…a fighting force like no other jose-1.jpg?width=231and the immense contributions they made to the allied effort to win WWII.

Yes… you did indeed read that opening line correctly…Mexico…MEXICO…was a key player in winning WWII.

Why…it seems like yesterday when, as a young lad, I was regaled with stories told by my dad and my uncle, both of whom fought for our nation during that world war, regarding the significant contributions made by the Mexicans.

In the Pacific…the Mexicans got involved in WWII when the Japanese bombed the hell out of Acapulco…sinking 2 cruise ships and setting an outdoor café afire.

Naturally…Mexico rebuilt their fleet and took off in hot pursuit of the Japanese.

There was the Battle of Midway where, had the Mexicans not been engaged in their afternoon siesta…they would have put up a tremendous fight…perhaps sinking a Japanese aircraft carrier or two but, regardless of their Midway midday nap…they did manage to rake out the sand along the beach before dinner.

And who could ever forget their presence in the Philippines where the Mexican Army of landscapers pruned the way through the dense jungle foliage for the Bataan Death March?

Texas Messes With Agenda 21

Texas Messes with Agenda 21

Texas is larger than most countries in the United Nations, some not much bigger than the postage stamps they print for collectors, but each with a vote that can cancel ours out. Texas is about to a vote against the U.N.’s sovereignty-destroying Agenda 21, so named because it claims to be setting a “sustainable growth” agenda for the 21st century.

Agenda 21 is in fact a global power grab similar to climate-change treaties like the Kyoto Protocol. It uses the imaginary threat of unsustainable growth which allegedly threatens to plunder the planet’s finite resources, like climate change allegedly threatens planetary doom, to impose a liberal wish list of restraints on our freedoms to decide how we live our lives in our pursuit of one of those inalienable rights liberals fear -- the pursuit of happiness.

Job Numbers Can Be Summed Up in One Word: ‘Unchanged’

When will the U.S. economy roar back to life? First quarter GDP dismally underperformedexpectations, and it can’t be blamed on the weather. The only good number in April’s Bureau of Labor Statistics' jobs report is that the U.S. economy added 223,000 jobs. But even that number is tempered by the paltry number of workers the country added in March. Unemployment “was essentially unchanged” as it was 5.4%, and the U-6 measure of labor underutilization edged down a tenth of a percentage point to 10.8%. And the labor force participation rate remains at historic lows. “Since April 2014, the participation rate has remained within a narrow range of 62.7 percent to 62.9 percent,” the report says.

Of the jobs that were added, most of the growth was in the economic sectors of professional and business services, health care and construction. The oil and gas industry lost 3,000 jobs in April, which shows it’s contracting and jettisoning workers after the glut of energy production in December. The factories are slowing down, as the average manufacturing workweek is shortening to 40.8 hours. This is all in contrast to the Obama administration’s mantra that the economy will kick itself out of first gear any day now. Before BLS released the numbers, The New York Times said the shadowy policymakers at the Fed will be watching this report to see if they should raise interest rates. While it would be nice to get a little something for keeping money in a bank, it seems like the Fed will follow the economy’s lead and stay frozen.

Surprise! British Conservatives Win Election

The Conservative Party won an absolute majority in Parliament in Great Britain’s elections Thursday, ensuring not only that Prime Minister David Cameron will still reside at 10 Downing Street but that the party can govern alone after five years in a coalition. The results confounded British pollsters, who had predicted a tight race and perhaps even a loss for Conservatives, also called Tories. (Completely wrong polls sound quite familiar.) But National Review’s Andrew Stuttaford has a theory: “Where did the pollsters go wrong? Probably by underestimating the amount of ‘shy Tories’ that there are. Brits should pause to think of what it says about the country’s intellectual climate that so many voters on one side of the aisle are unwilling to disclose their voting preferences.” That, too, sounds sadly familiar.

Cameron ran on a referendum of the Tories' record of turning around the nation’s economy. He defeated Ed Milliband, whose leftist Labour Party promised a return to a more robust, government-led agenda that would increase spending on entitlements. Labour’s loss was largely attributable to Scotland, where the Scottish National Party took 56 of 59 seats in a typical Labour stronghold. That could mean a new push for Scottish independence, though Cameron could perhaps head that off with a British version of American federalism, shifting more power to the four home nations of the United Kingdom.

Next up: a referendum by 2017 on British membership in the European Union.

Lynch Signals Her ‘Solutions’ to Fixing Unrest in Baltimore

Before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies, newly minted Attorney General Loretta Lynch outlined her proposed budget for the Department of Justice, backing rhetoric with proposed dollars for fixing the unrest in places like Baltimore. First, Lynch proposed boosting the money going to the Community Relations Service, a program arising out of the Civil Rights Act designed to smooth over racial and ethnic tension. But when the CRS glided into Ferguson last year, National Review’s Ryan Lovelace reported that it lectured residents on “white privilege” and the first town hall meetings disintegrated into shouting. Lynch also announced a proposed $69.5 million boost to the Community Oriented Policing Services to make America’s police force more diverse. “Again, it is efforts like these that may help to prevent situations like those in Ferguson and Baltimore,” Lynch said in her written testimony to the committee. Finally, the two-week-old AG suggested she will announce a DOJ probe investigating if Baltimore’s police department used excessive force. Lynch is doubling down and asking for more funding for the failed programs of the past, the very programs that didn’t prevent the problems we have now. More…

MOTHER’S DAY

On Sunday, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we’re reminded that among the Ten Commandments there is but one that comes with a promise: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12). President Woodrow Wilson signed legislation in 1914 proclaiming Mother’s Day a national holiday. But then again, we don’t need a holiday to express our appreciation to moms everywhere. May God bless each and every mother among our Patriot readers!

Hillary Changes Her Immigration Tune

By Michael Swartz

2015-05-08-110eb42c_large.jpg

If we told you that a 2016 presidential candidate said, “We’ve got to do several things, and I am, you know, adamantly against illegal immigrants… Certainly, we’ve got to do more to our borders, and people have to stop employing illegal immigrants,” you would probably guess one of the GOP candidates. But while that may be the sentiment of a select few in the GOP field, the words were actually uttered by Hillary Clinton in 2003.

Ramping up for the 2016 election, however, Hillary has changed her tune, as millions of illegal aliens have now become prospective voters. Democrats today realize that these “new Americans” can become a huge voting bloc and put several states permanently out of reach to the GOP. So Hillary is now squarely in favor of “full and equal citizenship” for everyone who wants to come to America, illegally or not.

Hillary’s new message is that she would “go even further” than Obama if Congress doesn’t act. “I will fight for comprehensive immigration reform and a path to citizenship for you and for your families across our country,” Hillary told a Las Vegas audience. This includes not only the parentsof so-called DREAMers but also illegal aliens who had already been deported but still have relatives here.

“I want to do everything we can to defend the president’s executive orders [on immigration] because I think they were certainly within his authority constitutionally,” she added. “Legally, they were based on precedent that I certainly believe is adequate. And then still try to go further and deal with some of these other issues like the reunification of families that were here and have been split up since the last eight, 10, 12 years.”

But even the Obama administration won’t say whether her idea is legal. “There may be a legal explanation [for her promises] that they have that you should ask them about,” stammered White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.

So how will Republicans respond? It goes without saying that accusing Hillary of flip-flopping won’t get them very far, as Democrats are only held responsible for what they’re saying at precisely a given moment, subject to change depending on the audience. Moreover, being against unfettered immigration is now equated with racism, and Beltway Republicans run from that comparison like a squirrel from a dog. But the primary hurdle for Republicans is that they’reflip-flopping themselves.

In short, Republicans have no idea how to address the issue in a consistent, principled and conservative way.

But there is a sizable contingent of voters that is sick of mere talk about securing the border first; tired of the federal government standing in the way of states seeking to enforce their own immigration laws; worried about the direction of our nation; and disgusted by the unwillingness of this generation of immigrants to even attempt to assimilate. Yet the Chamber of Commerce and other amnesty proponents continue to move the needle. Competing forces remain in a tug-of-war for the Republican Party, paralyzing it and allowing Democrats to control the narrative.

Unfortunately, while Republicans dither on their response, the federal government is working overtime to bring in more potential “citizens.” By the time Hillary takes office in 2017, it won’t make any difference who she lets in anymore. And what she said in 2003 will be ancient history.

OPINION IN BRIEF

Tony Perkins: “Aaron and Melissa Klein don’t have much in common with Ray Kasper, convicted sexual predator. But they have even less in common, now that the Kleins have been kicked off GoFundMe — and Ray remains. The felon, who is fighting a ‘wrongful conviction’ for sexual assault, is just one of the shocking examples of the fundraising company’s hypocrisy. A week after pulling the financial rug out from under the Christian bakers fined $135,000 and florist Barronelle Stutzman, GoFundMe’s alleged policy against raising money for ‘formal charges of heinous crimes’ certainly rings hollow here. … All Melissa and Aaron Klein are guilty of is exercising the religious liberty the U.S. Constitution guarantees them — and for that, they were deemed unworthy of support by their fellow Americans. Obviously, the real reason had nothing to do with their litigation and everything to do with pressure from the radical Left. If GoFundMe wants to discriminate against Christians, that’s their business. But at least have the spine to come right out and say it instead of inventing a phony excuse about wrongdoing. One look at their website and it’s clear: the only thing that’s criminal is their application of company guidelines.”

SHORT CUTS

Insight: “The most unresolved problem of the day is precisely the problem that concerned the founders of this nation: how to limit the scope and power of government. Tyranny, restrictions on human freedom, come primarily from governmental restrictions that we ourselves have set up.” —Milton Friedman (1912-2006)

Demo-gogues: “In America, our nation is stronger because we welcome and respect people of all faiths, and because we protect the fundamental right of all peoples to practice their faith how they choose, to change their faith, or to practice no faith at all, and to do so free from persecution and discrimination.” —Barack Obama (Unless, of course, you’re a Christian baker or florist who has objections to servicing a same-sex wedding, or an Armed Forces chaplain who offers biblical doctrine to a disgruntled serviceman, or a city official publicly expressing his Christian faith, ad nauseam…)

Non Compos Mentis: “Not right: A min. wage-earning single parent of two must work 50 hrs/week to escape poverty.” —Sen. Cory Booker, evidently opposed to hard work

Village Idiots: “There are so many kids in this country who look at places like museums and concert halls and other cultural centers and they think to themselves, ‘Well, that’s not a place for me, for someone who looks like me, for someone who comes from my neighborhood.’ In fact, I guarantee you that right now, there are kids living less than a mile from here who would never in a million years dream that they would be welcome in this museum.” —Michelle Obama, who seems to think museums are a haven for white supremacists

Dezinformatsia: “Well, [Team Clinton is], frankly, very confident about [the Benghazi] hearing. They think that at the end of the day, Hillary Clinton can take on that committee, and they’re going into it almost welcoming the opportunity, I think, to try to clear the air.” —MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell

And last… “The great thing about Hillary Clinton as a presidential candidate is that everyone already knows not to trust her.” —Frank Fleming

Hamas-linked CAIR urges Michigan Muslims to take precautions after Islamic State threatens Pamela Geller and non-Muslims in US

The actual Islamic State threat said that at our free speech event in Garland, Texas, last Sunday, “our aim was the khanzeer Pamela Geller and to show her that we don’t care what land she hides in or what sky shields her; we will send all our Lions to achieve her slaughter.” But Hamas-linked CAIR […]

Jihadis encouraged Texas cartoon jihadi to launch a jihad attack

What’s that? Jihadis were encouraging Simpson to launch a jihad attack, and he was looking around for a suitable target? No, this couldn’t be! Everyone knows that Elton Ibrahim Simpson would have been a law-abiding, patriotic American all his life if only Pamela Geller and I hadn’t provoked him with those Muhammad cartoons! “Texas attacker […]

However annoying last year’s “Ice Bucket Challenge” was for you, it’s nothing compared to the experience of one California police officer who finds herself, ahem, in hot water. AP reports: “Los Angeles County prosecutors say a video posted online in July showed Pasadena police officer Jaime Robison pick up a 5-gallon bucket of ice water and pour it over a fellow officer while she was receiving disability benefits. The case also alleges the 39-year-old Robison exaggerated injuries in 2012 to receive disability pay. Robison pleaded not guiltyFriday to four counts of insurance fraud. She is scheduled to return to court June 10. If convicted, she could face up to six years and four months in jail.”

Hilly Vows to Outdo nObama's Immigration Actions
On Cinco de Mayo, Hilly Clinton promised to go above and beyond what Barack nObama has done with his unconstitutional overreach on immigration. In a campaign stop where she spoke to a group of illegal immigrants in Nevada, Clinton said she'd ignore the Constitution — and she hasn't even taken the oath yet to uphold it. "I will fight to stop partisan attacks on the executive actions that would put DREAMers, including those with us today, at risk of deportation," Clinton said. "And if Congress continues to refuse to act, as president I would do everything possible under the law to go even further." Remember: This is the same politician who said last year that all the unaccompanied illegal minors who were crossing the border should "be sent back as soon as it can be determined who the responsible adults in their families are." For the Left, nObama was a successful candidate, and Clinton wants to position herself as nObama 2.0, downplaying the fact she married Bill. She may not have the outsider energy nObama had, but she can promise to continue his policies. More...  -The Patriot Post

 Enter Huckabee
Mike Huckabee officially tossed his hat in the ring Tuesday, announcing his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. He launched his campaign in his hometown of Hope, Arkansas, (also Bill Clinton's birthplace) and promised to lead the nation "from hope to higher ground." He's uniquely qualified, he says, because "I learned how to govern and I learned how to lead." And he's focused on the economy: "Wages have been stagnant for the bottom 90% of Americans for 40 years. With all the talk of the economy in recovery, I'm talking to Americans every day whose economy is not recovering. They're working harder than they were a year ago, two, three, four years ago but they're not better off." But he also carries a well-earned reputation for being a Big Government conservative, which in our book is an oxymoron. In other words, drop the "conservative" part, and you've got it. Indeed, we've had plenty to say about Huckabee's record here and here.
Huckabee will have a tougher time winning the nomination than in his previous run. Unlike in 2008, there are numerous (actual) conservatives in the race who can just as easily win evangelical voters. And though the Republican Party has a habit of nominating previous primary losers (Reagan, Bush 41, McCain and Romney), Huckabee doesn't strike us as fitting that profile. That said, it's early and an awful lot can happen between now and the Iowa caucuses.  -The Patriot Post

Clinton Continues to Resist Benghazi Committee
The dance between Hilly Clinton and the House Select Committee on Benghazi continues. First, Clinton dumped her email on the State Department and wiped her hands of the matter. And she continues to stonewall the committee's request for her to testify. In an April 23 letter to Clinton's personal attorney David Kendall, committee chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said if everyone cooperates, Clinton could testify twice before Independence Day and be done with the committee. "It is necessary to call Secretary Clinton twice because the committee needs to ensure we have a complete and responsive record and all the facts before we then substantively question her on the Benghazi terrorist attacks," Gowdy wrote. After all, the committee has only 300 of Clinton's emails.
But Kendall wrote back, "Respectfully, there is no basis, logic, or precedent for such an unusual request. The Secretary is fully prepared to stay for the duration of the Committee's questions on the day she appears." Kendall suggested Clinton appear before the committee the week of May 18, but only once. She doesn't want to "prolong the Committee's efforts further by appearing on two separate occasions when one will suffice," he wrote. Obstruct, obfuscate and deny — it's the same old Clinton modus operandiMore...  -The Patriot Post

Media look to Criminalize 'Hate Speech'
(Ben Shapiro) - On Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo broke out a heapin’ helpin’ of legal know-how, explaining to ignoramuses on Twitter that Pamela Geller’s event encouraging submissions of drawings of Mohammed amounted to “hate speech” apparently uncovered by the Constitution...it doesn’t. hate speech is excluded from protection. dont just say you love the constitution…read it https://t.co/znZJ8cPvpX  When the Fordham Law graduate was asked what in the Constitution left “hate speech” excluded from protection, he cited the case of Chaplinsky v.  58% of US Muslims Want Free Speech to be Illegal, in America
(Warner Todd Huston) - A recent poll seems to suggest that Muslims living in the USA want to outlaw our god-given right to free speech and a large number even agree that blasphemers of the Muslim god should be executed… not “over there,” but HERE in the USA! It makes one wonder if it is possible to be both a Muslim and a true American? For years during the invasion of Iraq under George W. Bush some doubters of Bush’s tactics said that Muslims cannot be made to understand western freedoms and constitutional government. In those heady days of nation building in the 1990s, many warned that Islam is incompatible with freedom and modernity. But what about American Muslims? We care constantly told that they are “just like every other American” and are peaceful, loyal Americans who love our system. But, do they?        http://wizbangblog.com/2015/05/06/58-of-us-muslims-want-free-speech-to-be-illegal-so-can-you-be-muslim-and-american/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Wizbang+%28Wizbang%29

 The Not-So-Special Relationship
(Daniel Wiser) - The leaders of both major political parties in the British general election on Thursday have indicated that they would shirk an active role in addressing international security issues...marking a further decline in a once robust defense alliance with the United States, analysts say. In a rare foreign policy speech last month, Ed Miliband, leader of the Labour Party, criticized David Cameron, the Conservative prime minister, for having “presided over the biggest loss of influence for our country in a generation.” Cameron is perceived as having largely focused on domestic issues as prime minister while subordinating the world’s pressing security crises. He accepted cuts to Britain’s defense budget in order to lower the deficit, was absent from the Minsk negotiations in February regarding Ukraine’s conflict with Russia, and was slow to support the United States in striking the Islamic State terrorist group in Iraq.

Stimulus Program Leads to Potential Billion-Dollar Fraud
(Bill McMorris) - A key component of President nObama’s proposed tax reform has led to massive fraud and collection losses for the federal government, according to a new IRS report...The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) found that millions of taxpayers wrongfully claimed education deductions to cut into their tax bill in 2012. The potential fraudsters have exploited lax oversight to take advantage of nObama’s $2,500 American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC), which was initially passed in the so-called stimulus, as well as President Bill Clinton’s Hope and Lifetime Learning credits. More than 3 million tax filers have erroneously claimed these credits, costing the government more than $5 billion.

Destroying and killing the USA was way too easy
(Sher Zieve) - The destruction of the USA and its takeover by domestic traitor and foreign forces has been in the works for many decades...In recent history, Roger Nash Baldwin (founder of the ACLU and 'father' of many other leftist organizations) was one of the prime "leg men" in establishing the foundation for the overthrow of the USA. Of the ACLU, he said: "Communism, of course, is the goal." Although he is said to have 'recanted' that comment, he did so after too many others had discovered his real purposes.  Rabbi Jonathan Cahn Gives America a Final Warning
(Timothy A. The Harbinger inspired the best-selling documentary, The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment, produced by WND Films, which proves conclusively that America is under divine judgment for turning away from God, just as ancient Israel did before being taken into captivity. Here is Jonathan Cahn delivering a fiery warning to the American people and our leaders in Washington about what will happen to this country if the Supreme Court dares to defy Almighty God and His divinely-ordained, pre-existing natural Law:       http://freedomoutpost.com/2015/05/rabbi-jonathan-cahn-gives-america-a-final-warning/

 RESTORE THE FOURTH!
(Judge Andrew Napolitano) - If you plan to visit a college campus this month, don’t be surprised if you see signs and placards encouraging you to “Restore the Fourth.” Restore the Fourth is not about an athletic event or a holiday; it is about human freedom...The reference to “the Fourth” is to the Fourth Amendment, and it is badly in need of restoration. In the dark days following 9/11, Congress enacted the Patriot Act. The Patriot Act has many flaws, including its prohibition of certain truthful public speech, but its most pernicious assault is on the constitutional right to privacy. One of its sections permits federal agents to write their own search warrants and serve them on persons and entities who by law are the custodians of records about others, such as physicians, lawyers, bankers, telecoms, public utilities and computers servers. The same section of the act has been used perversely by the NSA and the secret FISA court to authorize the bulk collection of data.       http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/restore-the-fourth/

Showdown with Hilly Clinton
Over Benghazi
Roger Aronoff
.
images-1.jpg&w=580&zc=1
.
(aim.org) - The liberal media remain derelict in their duty to vet presidential candidate Hilly Clinton’s record on Benghazi, just as they have abandoned any pretense of holding the nObama administration accountable for the many “phony” scandals including the IRS scandal, Fast & Furious, or even the VA scandal. We have repeatedly exposed the mainstream media’s reluctance to question the nObama administration narrative on issues that might threaten their agenda.
.
Recent offenders circumventing the need to vet Mrs. Clinton’s and President nObama’s Benghazi record include CNN, Reuters and The New York Times—all of which consider themselves premier sources of informative news.
.
Rather than waiting for, sifting through, and then reporting the details of the approximately 30,000 emails that former Secretary of State Clinton has submitted to the State Department—only about half the reported total 62,320 emails on her private email server—CNN instead turned to anonymous government sources for its alleged scoop. CNN’s Elise Labott wrote on April 27 that “the sources who described the emails said they offer no ‘smoking gun’ on Clinton’s actions in the days and weeks leading up to the attack or while the siege on the U.S. facility was ongoing.”
.
The next day Reuters published a very similar article by Mark Hosenball citing “two people familiar with the material” who made broad, sweeping claims about the information contained within those emails.
.
CNN’s Labott clearly stated that, like The New York Times’ Michael Schmidt, she was “not permitted to review the emails ahead of their release, but several government officials characterized them and offered detail on some of them on the condition of anonymity.”
.
But no “smoking gun” email from Mrs. Clinton is necessary to break this scandal wide open or prove that a Benghazi cover-up is alive and well. And none may ever materialize from that corner given her decision to wipe clean her private email server. Assertions by media organizations that releasing her emails, which were vetted by Clinton aides before being turned over to the State Department, will somehow clear her record simply are an attempt to throw sand in the eyes of the public.
.
In addition, Labott reports that “Several former Clinton staffers have told CNN that Mrs. Clinton did the vast majority of work in person or on the phone, which is evident by her emails.” It is possible for no smoking gun to exist under those circumstances, even if Mrs. Clinton had directly influenced the security situation in Benghazi or participated in a post-attack cover-up.
.
Evidence has already been released demonstrating that the former Secretary of State’s aides became aware that this was a terrorist attack about a half an hour after the initial attack began on the Special Mission Compound in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. It strains credulity to believe that these aides did not inform then-Secretary Clinton of the known facts at that time.
.
“Mrs. Clinton actually issued a statement on the night of the attack stating, ‘Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet,’ a clear reference to the Internet video,” I noted in a recent column criticizing Schmidt’s reporting.
.
The public record already establishes that President nObama, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, AFRICOM’s Carter Ham, and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Martin Dempsey were all told that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist attack almost immediately after the attacks began. Yet still the President and his administration continued to blame a YouTube video titled “The Innocence of Muslims.” .
.
As revealed in their book 13 Hours, the Annex Security Team (AST) were also told by  employees of the Central Intelligence Agency to stand down three times before they unilaterally left the CIA Annex one mile away and went to the aid of the beleaguered diplomatic personnel at the Special Mission Compound.
.
Labott continued, writing that CNN’s anonymous sources “added that contrary to charges by Republican lawmakers like McCain, there is no evidence that a ‘stand down’ order was given to prevent American forces from responding to the violence in Benghazi and none of the emails suggest Clinton was involved in any sort of cover-up regarding its response to the attack.”
.
Similarly, Hosenball writes that people “familiar with the emails” told him that the email cache “contains no support for Republican accusations that Clinton was involved in efforts to downplay the role of Islamic militants in the deadly 2012 attacks on U.S. installations in Benghazi” and “do not demonstrate that Clinton…was personally involved in decisions that resulted in weak security at the Benghazi outposts.”
.
“If the sources wouldn’t show them the documents, why are they so confident that what they are being told is the truth—especially if the information is self-serving to the administration, as these revelations clearly were,” I wrote regarding The New York Times.
.
The same standard should apply to CNN and Reuters.
.
How exactly, are all these reporters sure that what they are told is truthful sight unseen?
.
More information regarding the truth behind the Benghazi scandal could become available in the near future. Select Committee on Benghazi Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) requested that Mrs. Clinton appear publicly before the Select Committee in May and June, and has now “received more than 4,000 pages of documents and notes from the State Department’s Benghazi Accountability Review Board” investigation, according to USA Today. Rep. Gowdy offered for Mrs. Clinton to testify under oath that all the necessary documents had been submitted to the Select Committee, testimony which he says “would probably shut off that line of inquiry.”
.
Mrs. Clinton, through her attorney David Kendall, stated this week that she is willing to take questions from Rep. Gowdy’s Select Committee—but only one time, and only in public. She is refusing to agree to the committee’s request to meet twice: once in private to discuss her controversial email usage while at the State Department, and once in public to talk about Benghazi. She has refused to turn over her email server to the committee, but said that she did turn the rest of her emails over to the State Department. Whether any of the more than 30,000 emails that she has acknowledged destroying contained communications about Benghazi, or any business of the Clinton Foundation that might reveal coordination over donations, may never be revealed. The public is instead being asked to blindly trust Hilly’s claims that the emails were all personal and had nothing to do with any of that.
.
Both Labott and Hosenball reported last week that the State Department could be releasing Mrs. Clinton’s emails to the public very soon. With the deadline nearing, why not just wait until the emails are released and review their actual contents? Instead, these three news organizations published “scoops” which only reiterate the nObama administration’s Benghazi narrative.
.
Mainstream media organizations such as these may be incapable of accepting the reality of the ongoing Benghazi scandal, and consistently ignore or misreport facts about it, but their blindness to this truth provides no excuse for taking the administration’s word about documents which will soon become public. Not that there is likely to be any smoking guns released in these soon to be released emails. The decision to publish articles based on the word of unnamed administration officials instead of demanding to see Mrs. Clinton’s emails first has perpetuated the image of these news outlets as little more than nObama administration—and Hilly Clinton—propaganda mouthpieces.

 HILLY FLIPS FOR AMNESTY
Hilly Clinton is looking to unload some more baggage from her campaign van today. The presumptive Democratic nominee campaigns in Nevada where her campaign told several news outlets that she will embrace “a full and equal path to citizenship” for illegal immigrants. In 2008, Clinton wasn’t even a supporter of the mainstream Democratic position of allowing illegal immigrants to have driver’s licenses. Now she is ready to go for a full amnesty. USA Today reports that Clinton is embracing President nObama’s immigration policy and campaign style today: “She will chat with Rancho High School students who are DREAMers, the term used for young undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children.”
This latest reversal follows Clinton flips on tough-on-crime drug laws and gay marriage. Presumably more will follow. Remember that this is the woman whose former fellow cabinet member Robert Gates said admitted opposing the Iraq surge to win support among anti-war Democrats. Despite a new poll that shows that a stout majority of Democrats think a Clinton coronation will be just fine, she’s not taking any chances this time, either. One supposes that the major threat for Clinton now is not an external foe but the ongoing self-destruct sequence as the campaign tries and fails to put to rest mounting allegations of corruption against the candidate and her family. The same poll from the WSJ and NBC News that shows Democrats taking a submissive posture shows Clinton crashing with the general electorate. She’s seen as untrustworthy by a 2-to-1 ratio.  -Fox News

RUBIO ROCKET RIDE CONTINUES, WALKER HAS ROOM TO  GROW -
The same WSJ/NBC News poll shows Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., continuing his post announcement surge. As Republicans increasingly tune in to the wide-open race, Rubio may trail bush by 5 points, but his 41 percent combined first and second choice is very impressive. He’s drawing from two wings of the party while Jeb Bush’s support remains in an establishment Republican stovepipe. Everyone knows him and most don’t like him. But Scott Walker is hovering in deep water waiting for his moment. While Rubio is well known from his time in the Senate and frequent national television appearances, Walker still has very low name identification, even among Republicans. He’s in third place, but 21 percent of GOP primary voters don’t even know his name compared to 9 percent for Rubio and 1 percent for Bush.  Walker scorches nObama, Clinton on Islamist threat -   The Hill: “[Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker] said he was “disturbed” that Clinton spent four years as nObama’s closest advisor on foreign policy matters. “We need a president for this country who will look the American people in the eye and have the courage to tell them the truth,” Walker boomed. “It could be a day, a week, a month or a year, but we know it’s not a question of if there will be another attempt on American soil, it’s question of when there will be another attempt on American soil…and I’d rather take the fight to them than let them bring the fight to us.” … “Now more than ever America needs a commander-in-chief that will stand up and declare radical Islam is a threat to us all,” he said to a standing ovation. “We need a president who identified for once and for all that Israel is an ally and actually starts acting like it.”  -Fox News

DECISION TIME FOR MCCON-NELL ON IRAN NUKE BILL
The bill giving Congress the power to review a nuclear deal with Iran is at a critical stage in the Senate as Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell decides whether to shut down debate on the measure, The Hill reports. “McCon-nell  is seeking an agreement to allow votes on several controversial amendments backed by conservatives that supporters of the bill say would kill it…The full [Republican] conference is expected to talk about the Iran bill at their Tuesday lunch….[S]ome Republicans predicted McCon-nell may have no choice but to file cloture to end debate…While this could anger conservatives, it would also save a carefully crafted compromise drawn up by Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and reluctantly endorsed by the White House.”

The FBI Sent Innocent People To Their Deaths For Decades
(Alex Jones) - Questionable tactics have been employed by U.S. government agencies for ages. And underneath J. Edgar Hoover the FBI set an unfortunate precedent by which they managed to get innocent people framed for years...And recent confessions by top forensic analysts has cast a significant shadow on convictions secured by the FBI. Turns out they faked data to get their guys.   http://survivaljoe.net/blog/fbi-makes-disgusting-admission-we-framed-people/

Mexican Helicopters Fired on US Border Patrol Agents
(Jeff Dunetz) - The folks at Judicial Watch obtained documents from the U.S. Border Patrol confirming that on June 26th of last year a Mexican Police helicopters crossed over the border into U.S. airspace and fired on US Border  Patrol Agents...According to the documents, the helicopters fired at Agents in four cars two of which were clearly marked as official bored patrol vehicles. Immediately after the incident it was reported to the Mexican government who denied the American's version of the events.  As reported by the New York Daily News at the time. “It is clear that the Mexican government has little regard for the sovereignty of the United States,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Our border is insecure and the Mexican government has contempt for our sovereignty.       http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2015/05/mexican-helicopters-fired-on-us-border.html?utm_source=The+Lid+List&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2740e34ec1-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN&utm_term=0_597b72c01c-2740e34ec1-291705165&goal=0_597b72c01c-2740e34ec1-291705165

(Soeren Kern) - The French parliament has approved a landmark intelligence-gathering law that gives the state sweeping powers to spy on citizens...The government says the new law — which was fast-tracked after the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris in January — is aimed at preventing Islamic terrorism. But privacy groups say the law, which has been referred to as "the French Patriot Act," is so vague and intrusive and centralizes surveillance power to such an extent, that it poses an unacceptable threat to civil liberties in France.       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5703/france-surveillance-law

Iran Cheating — And Not Retreating
(Christopher S. Carson) - Which is the greater cave-in—cutting a terrible nuclear deal with Iran, or letting it flout the terms of even that deal? The question is now academic...Let’s revisit the anticipated “Comprehensive Agreement on the Iranian nuclear program,” struck in outline form back on April 2nd and supposed to be finalized by June 30th. Foreign Minister Zarif announced at the time, “No agreement has been reached so we do not have any obligation yet.” We should be so lucky. Under the deal, nothing will be done to stop Iran’s exporting of terrorism and its drive to dominate the Middle East, including its giving Hamas (a Sunni terrorist group) millions of dollars to re-dig new terror-tunnels in Gaza. Hamas’ Fedayeen use the tunnels to attack Israeli citizens. Iran was supposed to stop all uranium enrichment. Now it gets to keep enriching, but only to 3.67% purity. Iran is now “required” to reduce its stockpile of already-enriched uranium to 300 kg., over 15 years. It promised a month ago to give the remaining 10,000 kg. to Russia. Sounds great, but not even three weeks later, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Nabas Araqchi told the Iranian media that there is no question of sending the uranium abroad—it won’t happen. Apparently Iran will get to keep its 10,000 kilograms of enriched uranium after all. Why make a deal if Iran is going to cheat?       http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/christopher-s-carson/iran-cheating-and-not-retreating/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=b78e7d1b72-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-b78e7d1b72-156509103

Why nObama Will Just Keep Making the Middle East Worse
(Daniel Greenfield) - A few years ago it was the Muslim Brotherhood. These days it’s Iran. Next week it may be ISIS or Al Qaeda. nObama stands with the worst elements in the Middle East. That’s always been his philosophy...If the left had a foreign policy, it would be, “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” But the wheel is a sword and it’s lubricated with blood. The squeakiest wheels and the bloodiest swords get the most grease from the State Department because they hate us the most. And hating us the most means that somewhere along the way we must have hurt them the worst. They hate us, therefore we’re guilty. The squeaky wheel runs on blood and on American guilt. The worse they are, the guiltier we must be. Instead of reinforcing the moderates, whose shortage of ravening hatred suggests that they don’t have any legitimate complaints about us worth listening to, the left seeks out the extremes of extremists.       http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/dgreenfield/why-obama-will-just-keep-making-the-middle-east-worse/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=b78e7d1b72-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-b78e7d1b72-156509103

DoD Announces Army Reorganization, Inactivation Plans
(John Vandiver) - The Army will lose about 25 Germany-based Apache attack helicopters and a series of other choppers as part of an Army reorganization that will force the service to rely more on rotational forces to maintain much of its aviation firepower in Europe, according to a Pentagon announcement Wednesday...In addition, the Ansbach-based 12th Combat Aviation Brigade will lose about 1,900 troops and 2,850 family members in moves that also will force the closure of two Defense Department schools in the area by the end of this school year — Illesheim and Rainbow Elementary, according to military and school officials. “The 12th CAB restructuring will mean that while some U.S. personnel and assets will no longer be permanently assigned to Ansbach, aviation capabilities will be maintained by augmenting remaining aviation assets and personnel through a continuous rotation,” U.S. Army Europe stated in a release.       http://www.military.com/daily-news/2015/04/30/dod-announces-army-reorganization-inactivation-plans.html?ESRC=army.nl

Why Ariel Sharon Thanked Scooter Libby
Why Ariel Sharon Thanked Scooter Libby
(Arie Genger) - On January 3, 2006, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of Israel did something he had been meaning to do for a long time. Sitting in his office on the eve of his hospitalization for surgery, he picked up a copy of his autobiography, Warrior, and inscribed this message...
.
Dear Scooter!
A dedicated servant to your country, a true friend, always there when needed!
With deep appreciation,
Shalom from Jerusalem,
Sincerely,
Ariel Sharon

.
The next day, a devastating stroke effectively brought Sharon’s life’s journey to a shocking end. As a friend and close adviser to the prime minister, I can’t help thinking that, in paying tribute to I. Lewis (“Scooter”) Libby, he had somehow sensed that, for him, it was now or never. Libby, who during the early years of the George W. Bush presidency served as chief of staff and national-security adviser to Vice-President Richard Cheney, has been back in the news thanks to a recently published memoir by the veteran journalist Judith Miller. In it, Miller reveals that in 2007, she was tricked by the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald into mistakenly incriminating Libby, thereby helping to convict an innocent man of perjury.       http://mosaicmagazine.com/observation/2015/05/why-ariel-sharon-thanked-scooter-libby/

Election - Bunch of buttons
nObama Administration Blocks Efforts to Stop Non-Citizen Voting
(Noel Johnson) - Approximately 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in the 2008 presidential election, according to a study released last year by professors at Old Dominion University and George Mason University...The figure for the 2010 midterm elections was 2.2 percent. The nObama administration doesn’t care. In fact, it is trying to stamp out state-led efforts that would help ensure that only American citizens are electing our leaders. The latest bureaucratic roadblocks have been erected in Arizona and Kansas, which simply want people to verify their citizenship before voting. To implement their commonsense measures, Arizona and Kansas asked the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) —- a small federal agency that exists primarily to assist the states in creating the federal form citizens use to register to vote by mail —- to add the proof-of-citizenship requirement to the registration instructions specific to Arizona and Kansas. Their request was denied because of the decision of one federal employee in Washington, D.C.        http://www.theacru.org/the-obama-administration-blocks-efforts-to-stop-non-citizens/

GOP budget plan calls for nObamacare repeal

(Pete Kasperowicz) - The Senate vote was largely along party lines, although two Republicans, 2016 presidential candidates Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) voted against it...Conservative Republicans have said the budget doesn’t do nearly enough to trim spending — earlier in the day, for example, a Paul spokesperson said the plan relies on a “gimmick” to appear to achieve balance after 10 years. Back in March, Cruz praised the Senate’s passage of a budget plan, but also said “gimmicks” were keeping him from supporting it in the end. Democrats have spent several weeks railing about the plan, which they say would make deep cuts to social programs. It also repeals nObamacare, and includes instructions to several key congressional committees to write legislation to repeal and replace nObamacare.       http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2015/05/05/senate-passes-gop-budget-plan-that-would-also-repeal-obamacare/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Firewire&utm_campaign=Firewire%20-%20HORIZON%205-6-15%20FINAL

Anti-Semitism Goes to School
Anti-Semitism on American college campuses is rising—and worsening.
Where does it come from, and can it be stopped?
Ruth Wisse
.
Anti-Semitism Goes to School
.
(mosaicmagazine.com) - “I never dreamed that it could come to this!”
.
In February, a Jewish college student was hospitalized after being punched in the face at a pro-Palestinian demonstration on a campus in upstate New York. His family has insisted on maintaining the boy’s privacy, but other such incidents, some caught on camera, include a male student punched in the face at Temple University, a female student at Ohio University harassed for defending Israel, and a male student at Cornell threatened physically for protesting anti-Israel propaganda. On three successive days last summer, the Boston police had to protect a student rally for Israel from pro-Palestinian mobs shouting “Jews back to Birkenau!” At the University of California-Irvine, this year’s Israel Independence Day festivities were blocked and shouted down by anti-Israel demonstrators. Every year, some 200 campuses now host a multiday hate-the-Jews fest, its malignancy encapsulated in its title: “Israel Apartheid Week.”
.
The Louis D. Brandeis Center in Washington, founded in 2011 to protect against such intimidation, has reported being startled by the results of its own 2013-14 survey: “more than half of Jewish American college students have personally experienced or witnessed anti-Semitism.” The film Crossing the Line 2: The New Face of Anti-Semitism on Campus faithfully captures scenes of the violence that often attends this new academic experience.
.
Nor are students the only targets. At Connecticut College, to cite but the most recent example, a quietly pro-Israel professor of philosophy has been maliciously singled out and hounded as a “racist” in a campaign instigated by Palestinian activists, endorsed by numerous faculty members, and at least tacitly complied with by the college administration and the campus Hillel organization. At the annual meetings of prestigious academic associations, boycott resolutions against Israel and Israeli academic institutions are routinely aired and often passed.
.
As one of its first acts in December 1945, the Arab League called on all Arab institutions and individuals to refuse to deal in, distribute, or consume Jewish and Zionist products or manufactured goods. Seventy years later, calls for boycott of Israel, under the acronym BDS—boycott, divestment, and sanctions—have become a staple of American university agendas, extending not only to Israeli companies like SodaStream but to Israeli scholars in the humanities and social sciences. Last year, a petition by “anthropologists for the boycott of Israeli academic institutions” garnered the signatures of the relevant department chairs at (among others) Harvard, Wesleyan, and San Francisco State. The American Studies Association attracted the “largest number of participants in the organization’s history” for a vote endorsing a boycott of Israeli academic institutions.
.
In his introduction to a timely volume of essays, The Case Against Academic Boycotts of Israel, Paul Berman provides a witty summary of the efforts by university boycotters to frame their campaigns as “modern and progressive” when in fact they are “disgraceful and retrograde.” But the truth is that anti-Semitism never needed a sophisticated veneer in order to win susceptible recruits among the educated and the allegedly enlightened. Urgent as it is to expose the undeniably disgraceful and retrograde nature of the boycott movement, some of its ancillary effects are already playing themselves out in modern institutions and in “progressive” ways.
.
One of those effects is the scandalous insult—the undreamed-of this!—that cracked the patience of my academic colleague quoted at the head of this article. The “this!” emanated in reports first from UCLA, then from Stanford. At both universities, Jewish students running for election to the student government had been challenged on the grounds that their “strong Jewish identity,” manifested by travel to Israel, made them untrustworthy candidates for office. For my colleague, who had tried until now to treat anti-Israel agitation as a legitimate political activity, this now-naked move to place Jewish students under automatic suspicion for being Jewish made it impossible to maintain any longer the distinction between anti-Zionism (permissible) and anti-Semitism (impermissible). To be sure, there had always been some kind of link between incitement against Jews in Israel and incitement against Jews elsewhere, but how was she now to distinguish between the two when her colleagues, peers, and students blithely insisted on conjoining them?
.
For the moment, most of the American public seems free—solidly free—of the anti-Semitism that infects American universities. According to the most recent Gallup poll, seven in ten Americans view Israel favorably, up substantially from the 47 percent that viewed it favorably in 1991 around the time of the first Gulf war. It would be hard to imagine greater enthusiasm for a foreign leader than that shown to Benjamin Netanyahu when he spoke at a joint session of Congress in 2011 and again this year. Appreciation for Israel seems secure when the Wall Street Journal, widely considered America’s most influential newspaper, is also its most effective editorial champion of Israel, with the FOX News channel not far behind.
.
Jewish students running for election to student government have been challenged on grounds that their “strong Jewish identity” makes them untrustworthy candidates for office.
.
Which is not to say that grounds are lacking for larger concern. In addition to the catalog of academic offenses I’ve briefly summarized here, a growing number of anti-Jewish incidents—from a swastika-desecrated Jewish cemetery in New Jersey to fatal shootings at a Kansas City Jewish community center—has been registered by agencies like the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee. At the government level, more ominously, and perhaps for the first time in recent American history, it is the White House, rather than the once notoriously Arabist State Department, that has taken the lead in threatening to isolate the Jewish state. President nObama’s frankly contemptuous treatment of Israel’s prime minister smacks more of the university than of the Senate in which he once served, but he is the president, and his words and actions give license to others.
.
At any rate, the basic truth is this: Israel and the United States, unlovingly paired by their Islamist enemies as the Little Satan and the Big Satan, are prime targets of the same antagonists. It remains to be seen, then, whether the rise of anti-Semitism in America—itself an extension of the Arab- and Muslim-led war against Israel and the Jewish people—will fatally penetrate America’s thick constitutional culture, in which some of us still place our trust.
.
Universities are the obvious place to begin investigating that question.
.

hump-1.jpg?width=227Humpty Dumpty sits on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty is about to fall.
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Can never put Humpty together again.

Humpty in this case is Obamacare and at the end of next month, the United States Supreme Court will render a decision that could well leave Humpty Dumpty shattered into 8 million pieces.

At stake are the subsidies. Should the Supreme Court hold that the subsidies are allowed only as the law was written…that ONLY the STATE exchanges are allowed to extend subsidies and NOT the FEDERAL exchange…8 million people who received subsidies from the federal exchange per the king’s executive order and not via an act of the congress…would LOSE those taxpayer subsidies thus making the “AFFORDABLE” Care Act UNaffordable to them.

If they can’t afford the cost of full-on socialism…they will drop OUT of the socialist healthcare program leaving the pool of other people’s money too shallow to draw from for the rest. Oh, there are options…everybody ELSE’S premium costs, deductibles and prescription costs could be jacked up into outer space to cover the shortfall but that will render socialismcare unaffordable even to those who can, but just barely, afford it now and they TOO will beat a hasty exit.

I believe the Supreme Court will indeed rule against the king on this one and here’s why…

DEMS LOOK TO SHIFT BALTIMORE BLAME TO GOP
The Hill: Democrats on and off Capitol Hill are linking the recent violence in Baltimore to a dearth of government programs aimed at elevating poverty. They’re calling for broader government commitments to education, workforce training, summer jobs programs and other initiatives aimed at fighting unemployment, while hammering the Republicans’ new budget proposal for cutting those same measures. ‘There are a whole constellation of problems here, but there are some systematic underlying problems that should be addressed by government, both at the local level, the state level, the federal level,’ Rep. Chris Van Hollen (Md.), senior Democrat on the House Budget Committee, said on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ program.”
“I wouldn’t think of announcing any place else [to announce presidential candidacy]. Baltimore, this has been a setback for us.  But our story is not over. We’re not defeated as a city and we are not about to throw in the towel on our country.” – Former Gov. Martin O’Malley, D-Md., to NBC News.  -Fox News

DEMS MAKE BIG BET ON RETAKING STATEHOUSES
The sweeping wave of last year’s midterms left the GOP with an historic edge: controlling 68 of 98 state legislative chambers. Counting Republican governors, the GOP dominates the governments of 24 states (to six for Democrats). But the nObama administration and top congressional liberals like Sen. Elizabeth Warren have formally embraced a new big-money effort to turn back the Republican tide. With the party control of redistricting and voting rules at stake in many states, Matt Walter, President of the Republican State Leadership Committee, and the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee’s National Political Director, Kurt Fritts, join Chris Stirewalt to discuss how they plan to get more of their candidates elected. WATCH HERE.

ISIL Claims Responsibility for Texas Attack
During a radio broadcast in Syria, ISIL, a.k.a. the Islamic State, claimed responsibility for the attack at the art contest and show featuring images of Muhammad in Garland, Texas. Jihadist roommates Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi drove 1,000 miles from Arizona to launch an attack with rifles, body armor and copious amounts of ammunition. Simpson had been monitored by the government since 2006. In 2010, the FBI charged Simpson with trying to travel to Somalia to engage in jihad, but the charges were dropped. After wounding an unarmed security guard, the two jihadists were stopped by a traffic cop who used a few well-aimed shots from his pistol to drop the terrorists. Regardless if Simpson and Soofi actually had a connection to ISIL, the group used the opportunity to threaten the U.S. "We tell … America that what is coming will be more grievous and more bitter and you will see from the soldiers of the Caliphate what will harm you, God willing," ISIL said in its radio broadcast. But after all that effort and planning, this attack was stopped by a lone cop with what may possibly be his standard-issue sidearm. At their peril, jihadists forget that, unlike France, the U.S. is armed. More...  -The Patriot Post

No More Democrat 'Leadership' Is Not What Baltimore Needs
Rep. Donna Edwards (D-MD) pontificated on the Baltimore rioting and what she believes is contributing to poverty and, ultimately, violent behavior among minorities. Fox News anchor Chris Wallace brought up the city's excessive crime rates, high unemployment and stunning student illiteracy and wondered if liberal policies are to blame since Baltimore has been under Democrat leadership for five consecutive decades. "No, I think it's been unevenly spread," Edwards responded. "I mean I would say, for example with our schools, just prior to the Freddie Gray incident, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake was actually prevailing upon our Republican governor to release money for school funding." When host Chris Wallace pointed out that "Baltimore spends the third highest amount per capita on its public schools," Edwards rebutted, "There's uneven spending in the public schools."
But if the solution is simply to invest more money, how do Democrats explain the city's past spending? Baltimore threw more money at the problem, courtesy of Barack nObama, and it failed spectacularly. According to The Washington Free Beacon, "Baltimore received over $1.8 billion from President Barack nObama's stimulus law, including $467.1 million to invest in education and $26.5 million for crime prevention. President nObama claimed last Tuesday that if the Republican-controlled Congress would implement his policies to make 'massive investments in urban communities,' they could 'make a difference right now' in the city, currently in upheaval following the death of Freddie Gray." What we need is less government and more parental involvement. No amount of funding can fill the void left by dysfunctional, single-parent families. And that's why liberal policies, well-intentioned as they may be, are to blame for urban unrest.

For an increasing number of Americans, it's easier to go to the emergency room than a doctor's office. A wide majority of ER physicians, 75%, say they've seen the number of people walking through their doors increase, according to a poll by the American College of Emergency Physicians. This trend is, in part, due to the "Affordable" Care Act because it places a greater number of people on Medicaid. Many doctors don't accept patients on Medicaid because of its low reimbursement rate. In other words, the government created a larger demand for doctors' services while mandating how much doctors will get paid, contrary to the laws of economics. As a result, patients face long wait times for appointments, so they look for alternatives. Dr. John O'Shea, a senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation, said, "I've seen it personally. I've seen patients who come into the ER because their primary care physician couldn't see them for weeks or months." The Left sold nObamaCare on the promise that it would decrease the number of ER visits, but having state-mandated health insurance does not make people healthier, nor does it create timely access to a doctor. More...  -The Patriot Post

UN Tool Wants Americans To Eat Bugs As Part Of Climate Change
(rickwells.us) - Former UN Secretary General and globalist pirate Kofi Annan has crawled out from under his rock to join the UN sales team in peddling their “surrender and bow in worship to Earth theology...The UN cockroach has a surprise twist for us, though. Part of his “smart” and “sustainable” climatocracy includes the prospect of switching to a bug diet. While Kofi and his fellow Africans might view a hissing Madagascar cockroach in his mouth as a rare treat, most Americans have watched enough Fear Factor for that idea to leave a bad taste in our mouths. In an interview with the Guardian, Annan is prepping us all for the upcoming UN climate summit, attempting to weaken the resolve of the thinkers of the world and to bully us into mindless acceptance of their naked power and money grab. The truth is that if the planet is warming or cooling it would be a natural event that we had no part in and couldn’t do anything to alter even if we wanted to. We’re not in control of the Earth, we’re simply along for the ride. Kofi and company plan to take us for a ride as well. The Guardian is a mouthpiece for the climate change alarmists and it was no accident that they were chosen as the vehicle for spreading the propaganda.        http://www.rickwells.us/un-tool-wants-americans-to-eat-bugs-as-part-of-climate-change-surrender-hell-still-be-eating-steak/

Loretta Lynch Following In Eric Holder’s Ferguson Footsteps
(rickwells.us) - Just as her predecessor Eric Holder met with “community leaders” and the family of dead thug Michael Brown when they initially started stirring the pot of racial animosity back in August of last year, Loretta Lynch is personally injecting herself into the Baltimore situation...On Tuesday Lynch met with the family of Freddie Gray as well as a cadre of parasitic “community leaders,” proving that loose lips Joe Biden was correct in his assertion that Lynch and Holder were cut from the exact same cloth. They share the same racial preference agenda as well. Lynch described the current state of affairs in Baltimore saying, “This is a flashpoint situation” and noting for those who hadn’t seen the side show exhibition put on by Baltimore’s thuggery that, “We lost a young man’s life and it begins to represent so many things.”        http://www.rickwells.us/loretta-lynch-following-in-eric-holders-ferguson-footsteps-meeting-with-gray-family-agitators/

nObama Can’t Wish ISIS Away – When You Fight Monsters
(rickwells.us) - Lt Col Ralph Peters agrees that the nObama regime just doesn’t want to hear about ISIS anymore, saying that their indifference has allowed what was once a minor problem to escalate into a global one...He notes how the administration, as well as the political operatives within the Pentagon claim that we are rolling back ISIS and points out that is absolutely false, that ISIS has continued to expand. Peters says there is no way around the fact that the terrorists were on the ropes when Bush left office and that nObama has allowed them to regain and surpass their former levels of strength. O’Reilly asks where is the sixty nation coalition that supposedly was put together and where is their central command? Peters notes the public hand-wringing that went on after nObama’s drone apology speech for the death of two al-Qaeda hostages and yet there was silence in the subsequent week as hundreds were butchered by ISIS.       http://www.rickwells.us/ralph-peters-obama-cant-wish-isis-away-when-you-fight-monsters-in-human-form-you-kill-them/

nObama’s Flood Gates Of Voter Fraud In States
(rickwells.us) - Catherine Engelbrecht, the President of the organization “True the Vote,” joins J.D. Hayworth to discuss the vulnerabilities of America’s election system to voter fraud, a situation that has been engineered and is now being exploited by the con artists which are the Democrat Party...Hayworth asks, “How big of a problem have you found nationwide?” Engelbrecht describes an ongoing state by state effort by her organization to determine exactly that, and points to some serious deficiencies in the process that they have already uncovered. In California, for example, there is no distinction made by the Democrat operatives in control of public records between a citizen or a non-citizen as far as state databases are concerned. There is nothing to prevent the illegals from voting. There is not even a mechanism for determining who is a citizen and who isn’t. It is a system perfectly engineered to be vulnerable to fraudulent manipulation, in keeping with the anti-American administration’s unconstitutional intent.     http://www.rickwells.us/obamas-flood-gates-of-voter-fraud-in-california-oregon-other-states-opening-for-illegal-alien-vote/

nObama’s Latest Lie – Mexicans Vital In Winning WW2
(rickwells.us) - The latest opportunity for Hussein nObama to tell a bald-faced lie or two came in recognition of the Mexican pseudo-holiday of Cinco de Mayo...While acknowledging that the United States has made Cinco de Mayo a celebration of our own, he completely fabricates the reasons behind it. Mexican food tastes great, as do margaritas. It is an opportunity for restaurants and bars to have big days and for Americans to partake. That’s all there is to it, but nObama had to assign a deeper meaning, whether it’s true or not makes no difference. He must have borrowed some of the UN writers for today’s whopper, a tale of a grassroots effort by grateful Americans for the assistance of Mexico in fighting World War 2, “when states and cities across the country sought to recognize Mexico and Mexican-Americans for their contributions to the war effort, recognition of Cinco de Mayo in the United States took off.” Where does he get off telling a big lie to the American people? I wonder if his family believes every word he says? I don't.     http://www.rickwells.us/obamas-latest-lie-mexicans-vital-in-winning-ww2-cinco-de-mayo-is-our-way-of-saying-gracias/

Is ISIS already living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
(L. Todd Wood, WCJ) - So now even our Secretary of Defense is warning American citizens that The Islamic State is coming for them and is preparing to attack the United States in a major way. He tells the American people to Be Ready...Excuse me, but I thought the number one responsibility of the President of the United States was to protect the American public and, as Commander in Chief, defeat our enemies. That is what the Constitution calls for; but that is not the agenda of this president, our Dear Leader. Rather, President nObama has created a scenario for the destruction of the United States. We’ve talked over and over on these pages about the out of control spending on wealth redistribution and the burgeoning federal deficit that is approaching twenty trillion dollars. The deficit has come down somewhat recently but is scheduled to skyrocket as expenses for nObamacare kick in. This explosion of debt has crowded out spending on needed priorities such as military spending, which is the first and foremost responsibility of the federal government. Our military is being downsized to irresponsible levels at the exact moment when the threats against this country are ballooning all over the world. I believe the run up in debt and the resulting reduction in military spending by the United States is on purpose.       http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/05/simple-math-is-isis-already-living-at-1600-pennsylvania-avenue/

Clinton’s MB -Tied Aide’s Emails Now Facing Disclosure Lawsuit
(Tim Brown) - Huma Abedin, the Muslims Brotherhood-tied aide of Hilly Rodham Clinton, is now facing the same scrutiny as her boss. After the State Department failed to turn them over in response to an open records request, there is now a disclosure lawsuit in the works...Judicial Watch is seeking to reopen this lawsuit under a federal court rule (Rule 60(b)(3)) that allows a party to reopen a case due to "fraud (whether previously called intrinsic or extrinsic), misrepresentation, or misconduct by an opposing party". Both Clinton and Abedin were reported to be in breach of the Federal Records Act. Part of the investigation concerns ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, while others focus on aspects of Benghazi and foreign contributions to the Clinton Foundation. Leading the charge behind the email scandal is Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who asks the right questions, but has not yet been able to bring forth the evidence. That may be about to change with this latest lawsuit by Judicial Watch.       http://freedomoutpost.com/2015/05/clintons-muslim-brotherhood-tied-aides-emails-now-facing-disclosure-lawsuit/

 Does Islam Prohibit Drawing Mohammed?
(Tarek Fatah) - Thanks to a quick-thinking traffic police officer, both men, carrying assault rifles, were shot dead in a 15-second exchange of gunfire that left an unarmed security officer injured...Islamic clerics in Texas denounced the terror attack, but also called on Muslims "not to be baited" into anger. The hint behind this message was that contest organizer Pamela Geller had provoked Muslims into acting violently. At the root of Muslim protestations is the false belief that Islam prohibits the depiction of Prophet Mohammed. There is no prohibition on creating images of Prophet Mohammed in the Qur'an. Up until the 14th century; such depictions were common in the non-Arab Muslim world. On my website, www.tarekfatah.com, I have posted many depictions of Prophet Mohammed, drawn mostly by Muslim artists. Even if it were true that such depictions were prohibited, the prohibition would not be applicable to non-Muslims.       http://www.meforum.org/5222/islam-drawing-mohammed

Judicial Watch Files Lawsuit
for Hilly Clinton Email-Related Records

.
Can Judicial Watch once again get
public records that nobody else has been able to obtain?
.
Hillary_Clinton_official_Secretary_of_State_portrait_crop
.
(sharylattkisson.com) - The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit to try to get documents regarding former Secretary of State Hilly Clinton’s efforts to gain approval for use of an iPhone or iPad to conduct official business.
.      Judicial Watch has had unmatched success in recent years obtaining documents under both the Bush and nObama administrations through its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits challenging the government’s withholding of public information. The group has been able to get documents that even Congressional subpoenas were unable to shake loose.
.
Judicial Watch filed the Clinton lawsuit after it says the State Department failed to comply with its March 10, 2015, FOIA request seeking:
.
Any and all records of requests by former Secretary of State Hilly Rodham Clinton or her staff to the State Department Office Security Technology seeking approval for the use of an iPad or iPhone for official government business; and Any all communications within or between the Office of the Secretary of State, the Executive Secretariat, and the Office of the Secretary and the Office of Security Technology concerning, regarding, or related to the use of unauthorized electronic devices for official government business.
.
The State Department did not respond to the request within the legally required 20 business days. This lack of compliance with the law has become a routine practice among federal agencies.
.
Judicial Watch’s effort to obtain the records stems from the alleged contradictions in statements Clinton has made about her email practices. According to the group,
.
“On March 31, 2015, The Associated Press reported that Clinton, while secretary of state, had used an iPad to email members of her staff, contradicting her statements that she had used a secret email account so that she could conveniently conduct official business on one electronic device alone.
.
Judicial Watch states that it has 18 lawsuits and 160 FOIA requests that could be affected by Mrs. Clinton and her staff’s use of secret email accounts to conduct official government business.
.
[Note: The State Department has also failed to properly respond to my FOIA requests for public information that includes Clinton email material.]

BUBBA SAYS SPEECHES TO CONTINUE: ‘I GOTTA PAY OUR  BILLS’ -   Former President Bill Clinton reportedly raked in $104.9m for paid speeches in the first 12 years after he left office, including some that have triggered accusations of payola for favors from his wife’s State Department. But despite those worries, he will continue to give speeches for sums as much as $500,000, telling NBC News “I gotta pay our bills.” The network, which formerly employed Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, joined Clinton on a trip for donors to his family’s scandal-scarred foundation to get a look at the charitable work done by the group. The former president rejected allegations of pay-for-play in pure Clintonian fashion: he said the foundation never said anything “knowingly false.” This, combined with presumptive Democratic nominee Hilly Clinton’s “dead broke” debacle, suggests that the former first family has Romnesian levels of difficulty in talking about their vast fortune.  -Fox News

Bubba took more than two dozen trips on uranium deal billionaire’s jet -  WaPo: “Clinton has also gained regular transportation, borrowing [Frank Giustra’s] plane 26 times for foundation business since 2005, including 13 trips in which the two men traveled together. The numbers on Clinton’s use of the plane, never previously reported, were provided by a spokeswoman for Giustra. … The MD-87 aircraft is a full-size passenger jetliner with comfortable seating areas and a private bedroom. The doors have gold-colored fixtures, and an art collection hangs on the walls. … Clinton has said that he was aware of Giustra’s pending purchase while in Kazakhstan but did not discuss it or do anything to help its progress. … Giustra said it was ‘beyond ludicrous’ to suggest that Clinton engaged on the deal, in part because the former president has very little interest in business. ‘You have to understand something about Bill Clinton. He doesn’t care about that stuff,’ Giustra said. ‘His eyes would glaze over.’”  -Fox News

Colombia oil deal, too -   WaPo: “A few weeks after returning from Kazakhstan in 2005, Giustra attended his first meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York. There, he was introduced to the leader of another country where he had business interests: Álvaro Uribe of Colombia. … The Colombia connections of the Clintons and their patron, Giustra, were evident in June 2010. Bill Clinton and Giustra had flown in together on the businessman’s jet, while Hilly Clinton had arrived for an official visit as secretary of state. The three dined together in Bogota. The next morning, Bill Clinton met privately with Uribe at the presidential house. A few hours later, Hilly Clinton held her own meeting with the Colombian leader. In a subsequent televised interview, she announced that she was inclined to support a much-sought-after free-trade deal with Colombia — a reversal in position since her 2008 presidential campaign.”  -Fox News

“It means that Hilly Clinton has been part of the political establishment for many, many years.  I have known Hilly for some 25 years.  I respect her and I like her, but I think what the American people are saying…[is] maybe it’s time for a real political shakeup in this country and go beyond establishment politics.” –Sen.Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., to ABC News.

States, energy industry push to kill ban on oil exports
(John Scicliao) - States, industry and energy security advocates are converging on Washington this week to add strength to a growing effort in Congress to kill a federal ban on oil exports...The centerpiece of the week's push will be an "Energy Exports Summit" on Tuesday organized by a group representing Western state attorneys general and a relatively new organization called the Energy Independence Coalition. The summit follows the start of efforts in both the House and Senate to repeal the ban. American Petroleum Institute CEO Jack Gerard joined a growing contingent of House Republicans and Democrats last week to tout a bill to repeal the ban, which the lawmakers and the industry see as a barrier to advancing the market for U.S. crude oil abroad.       http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/states-energy-industry-push-to-kill-ban-on-oil-exports/article/2563984?utm_campaign=Conservative%20Inbox:%20Top%205&utm_source=Conservative%20Inbox:%20Top%205%20-%2005/05/15&utm_medium=email

Baltimore and the Betrayal of Black Dignity
(Bruce Thornton) - Baltimore is the latest American city to become a stage for the farce that is our national racial discourse. The swift, politicized indictment of 6 police officers for the death of Freddie Gray––which brought down, for now, the curtain on this performance by abandoning all the canons of procedural justice–– is a fitting end to this sorry spectacle...The winners of this shameful display are obvious, as they always are after these riots. Local thieves, gangsters, and thugs; bourgeois white “anarchists” out on a lark; junior-high posers indulging adult-sanctioned destruction; well-heeled black politicians fanning the flames and leveraging the violence for career advancement; race-baiting vultures like Al Sharpton, and the sensationalist national media all benefitted. Most important, the false narrative of a national conspiracy of racist cops itching to murder innocent black men was yet again perpetuated by race hustlers and their progressive enablers.       http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/bruce-thornton/baltimore-and-the-betrayal-of-black-dignity/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=49c98d2d18-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-49c98d2d18-156509103

Disunity in Asia is an opportunity for China
(Michael Mazza) - The US and Asia have just been through two busy weeks of diplomacy. The annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) wrapped up in Kuala Lumpur last week...just as Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe kicked off a weeklong stay in the US Against the backdrop of Chinese military expansion and Beijing’s launch of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in the face of US opposition, this summitry came at a crucial time. Before the Asean summit, Philippine President Benigno Aquino said he would push for a joint statement denouncing China’s menacing island-building in the South China Sea. He didn’t get it. Asean members agreed that “We share the serious concerns expressed by some leaders on the land reclamation being undertaken in the South China Sea, which has eroded trust and confidence and may undermine peace, security and stability”—but this careful language didn’t condemn or even name China.  More VA cover-ups
(washingtonexaminer.com) - It should be quite clear by now that the bureaucracy of the Department of Veterans Affairs needs a drastic purge. Its perfidy became obvious about a year ago when Americans learned that various officials had been gaming the system in order to preserve their own performance bonuses and give the appearance that veterans were getting timely care...The practice was widespread and many were complicit as veterans died and suffered in silence without the medical treatment they were promised. Since then, a great many other problems in the agency have been revealed, including cover-ups of lethal infections at VA facilities, hospitals that consume resources and serve no patients, and pill mills. The Washington Examiner's Luke Rosiak recently reported on how one patient died. It occurred after a doctor at a VA facility in Puerto Rico performed an unnecessary procedure without consulting the patient's primary physician. The doctor was subsequently given a slap on the wrist and then promoted. As it happens, he may have performed the procedure in order to help his wife, a medical trainee whom he was supervising, gain the experience.       http://www.http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/more-va-cover-ups/article/2563857?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI%20-%2005/04/15&utm_medium=email/more-va-cover-ups/article/2563857?utm_campaign=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI&utm_source=Washington%20Examiner:%20Opinion%20Digest%20PMI%20-%2005/04/15&utm_medium=email

U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00646))...Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit after the Department of State failed to comply with Judicial Watch’s March 10, 2015, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request seeking release of the following: Any and all records of requests by former Secretary of State Hilly Rodham Clinton or her staff to the State Department Office Security Technology seeking approval for the use of an iPad or iPhone for official government business; and Any and all communications within or between the Office of the Secretary of State, the Executive Secretariat, and the Office of the Secretary and the Office of Security Technology concerning, regarding, or related to the use of unauthorized electronic devices for official government business. By letter dated April 10, 2015, the State Department acknowledged receipt of the request but made no effort to respond with a document production, or its intent to withhold documents, within the legally required 20 days.        http://www.judicialwatch.org/press-room/press-releases/judicial-watch-files-lawsuit-against-state-department-for-records-about-hillary-clintons-ipad-and-iphone/?utm_source=SilverpopMailing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Judicial%20Watch%20Tipsheet%20(8)&utm_content=

American Taxpayers all We Have is: Taxation without Representation

(coachisright.com) - It is laughable that the District of Columbia, the most powerful City state in the world, puts the phrase, “Taxation without Representation” on its automobile license plates...Their whining is ridiculous. The government of the District of Columbia is the federal government of the United States of America and because of this the District of Columbia is omnipotent. It is we, the people of the United States who suffer Taxation without Representation. Supposedly acting in our name, because it funds almost everything to one extent or another, the federal government puts its hand into our lives multiple times a day; yet it never seems to demand an end to the libertine, unfettered lifestyles of the people it forces us to support. When it comes to the conduct of people in our inner cities, minorities, poor Whites and illegal aliens we are not even allowed to ask how the money Washington steals from us to buy their votes is spent. This is truly “Taxation without Representation.”        http://www.coachisright.com/as-american-taxpayers-all-we-have-is-taxation-without-representation/

Contrary To Bill’s Claim, Clintons Obtained To $7.4M Capital Gains
(Chuck Ross) - Bill Clinton’s claim that he and Hilly have paid “almost no capital gains” in the past 15 years was put in doubt Monday following reports showing the former first couple booked nearly $400,000 in capital gains between 2000 and 2006...But a Daily Caller analysis shows the Clintons may have incurred vastly more capital gains than that: between $2 million and $7.4 million. “Over the last 15 years, I’ve taken almost no capital gains and I’ve given 10 percent away,” Bill Clinton said in an interview with NBC that aired on Monday. Buzzfeed and The New York Times fact-checked that by analyzing the power couples’ publicly available IRS filings. According to filings for the period between 2000 and 2006 — the only years available — the Clintons reported $371,000 in capital gains, mostly from the sale of property. But Hilly Clinton’s 2007 Senate financial disclosure report shows the couple may have recorded capital gains as much as 20 times larger than that.        http://dailycaller.com/2015/05/04/contrary-to-bills-claim-the-clintons-obtained-up-to-7-4-million-in-capital-gains/?utm_source=Liberty_Headlines_Is_Giving_Your_Site_Free_Traffic_for_Now&AID=7236

The Scooby Doo Needs An Overhaul
Burt_Header_M2.jpg
(burtprelutsky.com) - When Hilly Clinton decided to give her campaign vehicle a cutesy pie name, I can only imagine that she and Bill preferred that the media would say that they were throwing people under the Scooby Doo rather than under the bus.
.
After all, it is impossible for a Democrat to run for president without leaving a wake of people with tire tracks on their carcass. In 2008, let us remember, nObama tossed his friend and religious mentor, Jeremiah Wright, under the wheels once we all began to hear the vile remarks that Rev. Wright had spewed for 20 years while the nObamas sat savoring every reprehensible word in a front row pew.
.
That same year, when former V.P. candidate Geraldine Ferraro, at the time serving as a major advisor to Mrs. Clinton, said what everyone was thinking -- namely, that nObama would not have been running for the presidency if he hadn’t been black -- Hilly didn’t even wait for the bus to slow down before giving her the old heave-ho.
.
In the meantime, the Clinton scandals keep piling up at a rate that makes nObama look like an underachiever. It now appears that not only did the Clintons clean up during her term as Secretary of State, but they went so far as to allow the Russians to wind up owning about a third of our uranium output, thus providing Iran with as much as they need to build not only a nuclear bomb, but a nuclear arsenal.
.
The idea that Mrs. Clinton might actually succeed nObama in the White House makes my blood run cold. It would say something, something really awful, about America’s voters if they saw fit to replace nObama’s empty suit with Hilly’s equally empty pantsuit.
The question that leaps to mind about the Clintons is whether there is anything at all they won’t do for money. When you see how low these two older people have stooped in their pursuit of dollars, euros, pesos and rubles, you have to wonder if they have ever heard that you can’t take it with you. Or is it just possible that they, along with such elderly creeps as George Soros and Warren Buffet, have discovered a loophole?
.
♦ Speaking of Russia, every time I hear Barack nObama, hanoi John Kerry or Josh Earnest, refer to those working on the nuclear deal with Iran as our negotiating partners, I feel the bile rising through my esophagus. In what universe, would America ever regard the likes of Russia and China as honest brokers? Would anyone with a brain in his head ever enter into a partnership with individuals who carried even the tiniest percentage of baggage those two nations cart around?
.
But, then, who else but someone with the anti-American mindset of nObama would ever pretend Iran will abide by an agreement that required the Ayatollah Khamenei to change his evil aspirations even slightly?
.
Nothing nObama does that proves harmful to America’s best interests surprises me. That is why, with a straight face, the schmuck can refer to the U.N. as a community of nations. How many times do we have to be reminded that the U.N.is a collection of well-dressed thugs representing the worst despots the world has to offer? If this is a community, it’s one in which no rational person would ever choose to live.
.
♦ Some Republican presidential contenders are being derided about not being specific enough about what they’d do if elected. To which I say, whoever is elected in 2016 won’t be taking office for another 21 months. A lot can happen between now and then. I can assure you that in May, 1999, George W. Bush had no idea that he’d wind up being a wartime president.
.
Also, the next president, assuming it’s a Republican, will have his or her hands full just trying to undo the damage nObama and Holder have wreaked on the economy, on race relations and on America’s relationships with friends and foes around the world.
.
Like a cleanup crew that shows up after a natural disaster, the first order of business will be clearing out the rubble. Only then can architects, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, interior decorators and gardeners, get to work with reconstruction plans.
.
♦ On the other hand, Republicans can only be trusted so far and no farther. For instance, what is the point of having a Senate controlled by the GOP if ten of the louts break ranks in order to confirm Loretta Lynch, who should have been voted down if only because she was Eric Holder’s hand-picked successor? But if that wasn’t enough, the fact that during her confirmation hearings, she announced that Barack nObama’s amnesty edict was based on solid constitutional grounds should have spelled her doom.
.
In case you missed hearing the names of the 10 ignoramuses, they were, in alphabetical order: Kelly Ayotte (NH), Thad Cochran (MS), Susan Collins (ME), Jeff Flake (AZ), Lindsey Graham (SC), Orrin Hatch (UT), Ron Johnson (WI), Mark Kirk (IL), Mitch McCon-nell (KY) and Rob Portman (OH). Re-elect these oafs at your own and America’s peril.
.
♦ When it comes to the Republican contenders, I am still mystified that Dr. Ben Carson continues to hover near the top in the polls. But, then, I don’t know why anyone thinks that having a medical background is good preparation for politics. Ron Paul was a doctor, after all, and I’m convinced he’d have done more good if he’d made house calls instead of House votes. And I would prefer that his son re-hang his own shingle or at least stay put in the Senate and not get within a country mile of the Oval Office.
.
Judging by some of Carson’s statements about gun ownership, homosexuality and Jesse Jackson, I’m not sure he could even pass a conservative litmus test. It doesn’t help that he wasn’t even a registered Republican until 2014. He only joined then because he was considering making a run for the White House, and regarded it strictly, he admitted, as “a pragmatic move.”
.
If Maryland resident Dr. Carson is looking to dip his toe into politics, why not run to replace retiring Senator Barbara Mikulski (D-MD)? That is an election he could probably win.
.
♦ After mentioning in a recent piece that I liked Carly Fiorina, some people reminded me that it was her ill-fated decision to merge Hewlett Packard with Compaq, which didn’t pan out, and was the reason that the H-P board of directors removed her as CEO.
.
It so happens that I don’t expect a candidate for president to be omniscient. Mrs. Fiorina made a business decision and it wound up costing her. That’s life in the business world. She didn’t whine about it. She didn’t insist they only fired her because she’s a woman. She behaved like a grown-up, accepted her severance check and moved on.
.
Just imagine how much better life would be for all of us if our politicians had to pay for their mistakes and not simply utter the four most meaningless words in the English language: “I take full responsibility.”
.
Wouldn’t it be heavenly if politicians had to pay a price for nObamaCare; for pulling all our troops out of Iraq, thus rolling out the bloody red carpet for ISIS; for sending the national debt soaring to 18 trillion dollars; for turning the IRS dogs loose on Tea Party patriots; and for allowing four Americans to be massacred in Benghazi and then lying about it?
.
Carly Fiorina made one lousy business decision and paid for it with her job. When politicians make their endless number of mistakes, we’re the poor saps who pay for it.

Geller - Standing Tall in Garland

By Craig Andresen – The National Patriot and Right Side Patriots on cprworldwidemedia.net

draw-1.jpg?width=244Last Sunday, Garland Texas became the new Paris France and thus, ground zero for the war against freedom of expression.

Two gunmen showed up at the Draw Muhammad event, an event held in the exact same building where, in January, an event promoting political correctness and restrictions on free speech was held.

One police officer was wounded at Sunday’s event and the mainstream media, liberal lapdogs that they are, immediately blamed event organizer Pamela Geller for the violence. Nothing could be further from the truth but liberals never assess blame on the perpetrators do they? It’s always someone else’s fault and therein we find the real issue.

Just a few weeks ago, over at MSNBC, Chris Matthews went off the handle stating that NOBODY should EVER refer to ANYONE as a Nazi but, before the gun smoke cleared in Garland, Matthews called Pamela Geller and her organization, The American Freedom Defense Initiative, a bunch of Nazis and added that Geller had “set a mousetrap for Muslims,” and that she had “provoked” the attack.

What Matthews FAILED to mention was that January’s “Stand with the Prophet Muhammad” pro Islam event at the exact same Culwell Center venue was what provoked Geller’s event. In other words, those standing for American values are disallowed from provoking Islamists but when Islamists provoke Americans…

Carson, Fiorina, Huckabee Announce Presidential Campaigns
This is the week for the idealists in the Republican presidential primary, the long shots, the Washington outsiders and the underdogs. Three GOP contenders have stepped out onto the field and, while they face a long climb to become regarded among the front running candidates, their campaigns could influence the party as a whole.
Carly Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard who could become the Right's answer to Hilly Clinton, announced her campaign from social media. "Our nation is at a pivotal point," Fiorina said in a video, "We need to restore possibilities for every American regardless of their circumstances."
Meanwhile, Ben Carson, who was asked to be surgeon general by both George W. Bush and Barack nObama, said he would announce his campaign Monday. "Many people have suggested to me that I should run for president, even though I'm not a politician," Carson said. "I began to ask myself, why are people clamoring for me to do this? … I'm not 100 percent sure politics as usual is going to save us."
And former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will announce his second campaign for president Tuesday. Huckabee is expected to run on his record as governor and his political battles against the Clintons in Arkansas. He's also likely to pull support from evangelical voters with his strong social conservative stance. With months to go, who knows? Maybe the GOP should pick a Washington outsider, a person who would be a contrast to Hilly Clinton's baggage. More...  -The Patriot Post

Clinton: Religion Must Surrender to Progressive Ideology
There is little question the American Left is arrogant. It is an arrogance suffused with a self-aggrandizing worldview that begins and ends with the simplest premise: You either agree with us, or you’re wrong. But not just wrong in the sense of having a different opinion. Wrong in the sense that you’re a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal at best, or the embodiment of evil itself at worst. In other words, you’re either on board with us, or you’re completely illegitimate.
The above explanation fits Hilly Clinton to a tee. At the sixth annual Women in the World Summit, Clinton brought up one of the Left’s most cherished planks, abortion on demand. “Far too many women are denied access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth," she insisted, "and laws don’t count for much if they’re not enforced. Rights have to exist in practice, not just on paper."
One is left to wonder what denial of access Clinton bemoans. It can’t be Planned Parenthood (PP), an organization whose name completely belies its true function. As its 2013-2014 Annual Report reveals, PP received more than $528 million in taxpayer funds in the form of government grants, contracts and Medicaid reimbursements that accounted for 41% of its total resources. And despite its ostensible non-profit status, the abortion giant has $127 million in excess revenue and more than $1.4 billion in net assets.  -The Patriot Post

NATIONAL SECURITY FOCUS MAKES LONG SHOTS LONGER
There are a lot of reasons why today’s two new official entrants into the Republican presidential hunt – former neurosurgeon Ben Carson and former tech CEO Carly Fiorina – are long shots to win their party’s nomination: Name identification, fundraising and, in Carson’s case, a tendency toward verbal miscues. But you only need one. The latest WSJ/NBC News survey reveals that national security is the clear number one issue for GOP primary voters. It’s the top topic for 27 percent of respondents now. It was 8 percent four years ago. The major issues for Republicans in 2012 were nObamaCare and the economy, perfect fits for Carson and Fiorina respectively. But the world looks different now. And Sunday’s attack in Garland, Texas will do nothing to cool the ardor of Republicans to see someone who is ready to be commander in chief when they see their nominee.
So Republicans are thinking a lot about ISIS and the unrest in the Middle East. Who benefits and who else suffers? The overseas  attention is good news for Sen.Marco Rubio, who has made foreign policy his focus in the Senate and a warning to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker that he had better be ready to stand and deliver on foreign policy issues when he hits the campaign trail. The open question is whether frontrunner Jeb Bush and his family can fully rehabilitee their brand on the subject. That looks like a long climb and certainly will put him in some tight quarters when it comes to debates and interviews.  -Fox News

McCon-nell may slam door on Rubio’s Iran effort -   National Journal: “Senate Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell may be forced to end debate on the Iran bill early this week, marking the first time he has shut down the open amendment process that was a central promise of his bid for control of the chamber. Sen. Tom Cotton’s surprise move on Thursday to force votes on his own amendment and one from Sen. Marco Rubio highlights the perils of McCon-nell's commitment to an open amendment process. When Sen. dinky Harry Reid was leader, he often ‘filled the tree’ in Hill-speak, essentially preventing members from filing amendments without his express written permission. McCon-nell's stated preference for a free-wheeling debate allows members to follow in Cotton's footsteps and force votes on their amendments.”  -Fox News

WITH YOUR SECOND CUP OF COFFEE
WSJ: “Wayne Daley, a Georgia Institute of Technology research engineer, is pecking away at a serious question for the poultry industry: how to digitally detect the cluck of an unhappy chicken. It is a matter of profit for commercial chicken growers, who lose money on sick or uncomfortable birds. Chickens with feathers ruffled by heat or cold or illness don’t eat as well or fatten up as quickly as healthy, contented ones. Farmers say if software can alert them to warning sounds from their flocks, they can act quickly to adjust chicken-house temperatures or treat sick birds. … Using microphones and a recording app for smartphones made by Georgia Tech students called SCAR—an acronym for “Sick Chicken Audio Recorder”—Mr. Daley’s team of researchers, along with poultry experts from the University of Georgia, have recorded more than 1,000 hours of chickens clucking while content, sick, crowded and cold.”

The Implications of the Dismissal of Stephen Coughlin
(Robert Spencer) - Stephen Coughlin Update. Here is an excellent summary piece on Coughlin’s firing, its implications, and what must be done next...This event on its own reveals that a senior U.S. advisor is being removed from his direct and critical role in the current war in which we are engaged solely because his message was defined as “extreme” by an advisor who caters to Islamist organizations in the U.S., not because it was factually incorrect. It is imperative that an investigation be open to determine the facts of this matter. If the investigation determines the facts of the matter to be true, provide the extent of the penetration within DoD, an assessment of the damage, potential violations of federal law, and recommended changes to Department policy and procedures to prevent a recurrence.        http://www.jihadwatch.org/2008/01/the-implications-of-the-dismissal-of-stephen-coughlin-joint-staff-pentagon

Pamela Geller Battles CNN Host over Garland Shooting
(jihadwatch.org) - The stakes couldn’t possibly be higher, but no one in the mainstream media seems to understand that or to be willing to recognize it publicly. The question is this...will the free West allow thugs and murderers to dictate our behavior and force non-Muslims to conform to an Islamic religious law? Or will it stand up for the freedom of speech and recognize it as our foremost protection against an authoritarian government that would strip us of our other rights and freedoms CNN’s Alisyn Camerota, in this joust with Pamela Geller, exemplifies the moral blindness of the West, and its eagerness to go gently into that good night, submitting to the dictates of killers.       http://www.jihadwatch.org/2015/05/video-geller-vs-camerota-free-speech-warrior-bests-advocate-of-sharia-submission?utm_source=Jihad+Watch+Daily+Digest&utm_campaign=b329bcb4f5-Daily_Digest&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_ffcbf57bbb-b329bcb4f5-123451509

Sen Jeff Sessions To Pro-Illegal Alien Wall Street Journal...
(rickwells.us) - Senator Jeff Sessions dispelled some myths being perpetrated by the Wall Street Journal regarding the America workplace and foreign labor as well as some unfounded attacks they levied against him and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker...Two recent editorial articles, one of April 25th titled “Scott Walker’s Labor Economics” and an April 27th follow up “The Sessions Complaint.” The paper disagreed with assertions that immigration policies should be determined based upon what benefits the American citizens and workers. In a Friday letter to the editor, Senator Sessions wrote: “To support your belief that American workers should receive no protections, you recycle the myth that there is a shortage of qualified Americans to fill jobs in STEM—science, technology, engineering and math—and then demand more guest workers as substitutes.” “Your evidence for this claim is that the government ‘received a record 233,000 requests from American business for the 85,000 H-1B visas available.’ But the only thing this statistic proves is that companies prefer low-wage, bonded guest workers over higher-paid Americans.”       http://www.rickwells.us/sen-jeff-sessions-to-pro-illegal-alien-wall-street-journal-america-is-a-country-not-a-spreadsheet/

Texas Gov Issues Warning in Nationwide Military Exercise

And apparently the governor of Texas isn’t feeling warm and fuzzy about the operation either. Conspiracy theorists aren’t the only ones who aren’t fully buying the official reasons given for the large-scale military exercise code-named “Jade Helm 15,” a multi-state war simulation with mysterious intentions. Some believe President Barack nObama’s feds have a more sinister reason behind the large training operation.        http://gopthedailydose.com/2015/05/04/texas-gov-issues-warning-to-obama-in-face-of-nationwide-military-exercise/

The Corker Bill Will Not Block nObama’s Iran Deal
(Andrew McCarthy) - I’m in Gomorrah by the Potomac this weekend at the National Review Institute’s Ideas Summit. As you’d expect, one of the ideas coming in for a good deal of scrutiny is the Corker bill...the legislation proposed by Senator Bob Corker (R., Tenn.) that purports to give Congress an opportunity to review President nObama’s imminent, disastrous nuclear deal with Iraq. As a New Yorker, I have as my default setting: stay out of Washington. But defaults are made to be broken. From a comfortable remote, it is too easy a thing to dismiss this place as a lost cause for conservatives. From up close, though, it is plain to see that many of the bad ideas that come out of Washington — which often seems like a bad-idea assembly line — result from the frustration of doing battle, day in and day out, with both a destructive presidential administration and a Democratic party that has been commandeered by the hard Left. The Corker bill is one of those bad ideas.        http://www.aim.org/guest-column/the-corker-bill-will-not-block-obamas-iran-deal/?utm_source=AIM+-+Daily+Email&utm_campaign=email050415&utm_medium=email

Single Payer Health Insurance: Why Sanders Just Doesn't Get It
(John C. Goodman) - Vermont Democratic Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared onFox News yesterday and Chris Wallace asked him why his own state had abandoned all plans to implement single payer health insurance – something that is apparently allowed under nObamacare...Since Sanders is a self-described “socialist,” you would expect him to be up to the task. He wasn’t. Sanders had no explanation of why Vermont’s brief flirtation with socialized medicine was such a flop. Instead he repeated the standard leftist line: other countries spend half as much as we do and they guarantee everyone health care. If that’s true, why isn’t it a simple matter to copy what everyone else around the world is doing? Part of the answer is that the claim isn’t true. Other countries don’t spend half as much as we do and guarantee everyone health care.       http://www.forbes.com/sites/johngoodman/2015/04/20/single-payer-health-insurance-why-bernie-sanders-just-doesnt-get-it/

Religious liberty issues at Supreme Court marriage hearing all but ignored by media

.
(jewishworldreview.com) - Questions of religious liberty occupied some of the discussion this week as the Supreme Court of the United States heard oral arguments in several same-sex marriage cases. Justices and attorneys traded views on what a decision mandating homosexual marriage would mean for clerics and religiously affiliated institutions.
.
In one exchange, Justice Antonin G. Scalia asked attorney Mary L. Bonauto of the Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders about possible outcomes of such a ruling.
.
"I'm concerned about the wisdom of this court imposing through the Constitution a requirement of action which is unpalatable to many of our citizens for religious reasons," Justice Scalia said, according to an official transcript. "But once it's made a matter of constitutional law is it conceivable that a minister who is authorized by the State to conduct marriage can decline to marry two men if indeed this Court holds that they have a constitutional right to marry?"
.
Bonauto replied, in part, "I believe it is firm, that under the First Amendment, that a clergy person cannot be forced to officiate at a marriage that he or she does not want to officiate at."
.
Justice Scalia responded that such exceptions are often permitted under state laws, "but if it's a constitutional requirement," he said referring to marriage, "I don't see how you can."
.
In questioning U.S. Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr., Chief Justice John Roberts asked whether "a religious school that has married student housing would be required to offer such housing to same-sex couples?"

Verrilli demurred and said individual states would have to resolve that question since "there is no federal law now generally banning discrimination based on sexual orientation."
.
In turn, that drew a question from Justice Samuel Alito, about a 30-year-old decision against Bob Jones University, a nondenominational Protestant school that claimed a religious right to prohibit interracial relationships.
.
"In the Bob Jones case, the court held that a college was not entitled to tax exempt status if it opposed interracial marriage or interracial dating," Alito said. "So would the same apply to a university or a college if it opposed same-sex marriage?"
.
Verrilli responded, "I don't think I can answer that question without knowing more specifics, but it's certainly going to be an issue. I don't deny that."
.
According to a Washington Post account of religious freedom questions at the hearing, "Justice Stephen Breyer asked whether purely religious reasons to oppose same-sex marriage were sufficient. John Bursch, who argued for state bans against same-sex marriage, replied that he is not arguing on the religious grounds."
.
Although it is unclear how — or even if — religious liberty considerations will play in the court's final ruling, one Canadian observer, writing before the oral arguments took place, warned that a marriage mandate might spell trouble for religious institutions.
.
"I want to warn America to expect severe erosion of First Amendment freedoms if the U.S. Supreme Court mandates same-sex marriage," Dawn Stefanowicz warned in an article at The Public Discourse. "The consequences have played out in Canada for 10 years now, and they are truly Orwellian in nature and scope."
.
Stefanowicz, who said she was the daughter of "a gay father who died of AIDS," wrote that she had filed a friend-of-the-court brief with the Supreme Court to argue against the redefinition of marriage. She wrote that because of provincial human rights panels that "police" speech, "Most faith communities have become 'politically correct' to avoid fines and loss of charitable status."

Americas must realize that self-scrutiny is not treason. Self-examination is not disloyalty.

Truth and knowledge diffused among the people are necessary for the preservation of our Democracy, rights, freedom and liberties.

The hidden secrets of money, the scam created by the Banking system

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFDe5kUUyT0

The truth it is too hot to handle by the US mainstream news media. The propaganda machinery of the oligarchs is in complete silent avoiding all discussion of the demise of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency.  Obama, the Senators and congressmen do not have the courage to tell the people the truth.

There's a major shift under way, but the US mainstream news media has left this issue untouched even though it will send the United States into an economic collapse; the demise of the US dollar as the world's reserve currency will come to the end and will dramatically reduce our country's importance in the world.  For decades the US dollar has been absolutely dominant in international trade, the availability of all this credit, denominated in a dollar supported by nothing less than the entirety of global trade, enabled the federal government to borrow without limit and spend with abandon. The many years of trade deficits, the cost of the wars and the huge national and private debt place our country in a critical position as the world's superpower. Many on the long list of nations that dislike America are ditching the dollar, over the past few years China and other emerging powers such as Russia have been quietly making agreements to move away from the US dollar in international trade. Several major oil-producing nations have begun selling oil in currencies other than the dollar, and both the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have issued reports arguing for the need to create a new global reserve currency independent of the dollar.

The supremacy of the dollar is not nearly as solid as most Americans believe it to be, the United States is not the global superpower it once was. It is time for Americans to wakeup; this is a crisis that we must deal with, don't bury your head in the sand; countries around the world are already starting to ditch the dollar. Ron Paul solution to save your savings is to invest in tangible assets, Gold, Silver and real estate; get your money out from the Banks and your retirement accounts, form a cooperative and invest in real estate. You must turn your Dollar into tangible assets before it is too late; the fact is that the US dollar is the conduit for global trade. If that role vanishes, much of the value in the dollar will evaporate. Massive inflation, high interest rates, and substantial increases in the cost of housing, food, clothing, and gasoline will make the 2008 recession look like nothing more than a bump in the road, but this will be a crater. The government will be unable to finance its debts. The house of cards, built on the assumption that the world would rely on US dollars forever, will come tumbling down.

The idea of moving away from the dollar is also finding support from major international agencies. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development has stated that "the current system of currencies and capital rules that binds the world economy is not working properly and was largely responsible for the financial and world economic crises." The statement continued, saying "the dollar should be replaced with a global currency." The International Monetary Fund agrees, recently arguing that the dollar should cede its role as global reserve currency to an international currency, which is in effect a basket of national currencies.

Fellow Americans act now and save your savings before they evaporate and worth’s nothing; believe me is a matter of time, but it will happen, the demise of the Dollars is a reality and only you can prevent any loss of your retirement savings.

They will also entertain opinions on government congenial with those under which they have lived; or if they should be led hither from a preference to ours, how extremely unlikely is it that they will bring with them that temperate love of liberty, so essential to real republicanism?” —Alexander Hamilton, 1802 TOP RIGHT HOOKS Hillary Vows to Outdo Obama’s Immigration Actions On Cinco de Mayo, Hillary Clinton promised to go above and beyond what Barack Obama has done with his unconstitutional overreach on immigration. In a campaign stop where she spoke to a group of illegal immigrants in Nevada, Clinton said she’d ignore the Constitution — and she hasn’t even taken the oath yet to uphold it. “I will fight to stop partisan attacks on the executive actions that would put DREAMers, including those with us today, at risk of deportation,” Clinton said. “And if Congress continues to refuse to act, as president I would do everything possible under the law to go even further.” Remember: This is the same politician who said last year that all the unaccompanied illegal minors who were crossing the border should “be sent back as soon as it can be determined who the responsible adults in their families are.” For the Left, Obama was a successful candidate, and Clinton wants to position herself as Obama 2.0, downplaying the fact she married Bill. She may not have the outsider energy Obama had, but she can promise to continue his policies. More… Comment | Share Enter Huckabee Mike Huckabee officially tossed his hat in the ring Tuesday, announcing his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. He launched his campaign in his hometown of Hope, Arkansas, (also Bill Clinton’s birthplace) and promised to lead the nation “from hope to higher ground.” He’s uniquely qualified, he says, because “I learned how to govern and I learned how to lead.” And he’s focused on the economy: “Wages have been stagnant for the bottom 90% of Americans for 40 years. With all the talk of the economy in recovery, I’m talking to Americans every day whose economy is not recovering. They’re working harder than they were a year ago, two, three, four years ago but they’re not better off.” But he also carries a well-earned reputation for being a Big Government conservative, which in our book is an oxymoron. In other words, drop the “conservative” part, and you’ve got it. Indeed, we’ve had plenty to say about Huckabee’s record here and here. Huckabee will have a tougher time winning the nomination than in his previous run. Unlike in 2008, there are numerous (actual) conservatives in the race who can just as easily win evangelical voters. And though the Republican Party has a habit of nominating previous primary losers (Reagan, Bush 41, McCain and Romney), Huckabee doesn’t strike us as fitting that profile. That said, it’s early and an awful lot can happen between now and the Iowa caucuses. Comment | Share Clinton Continues to Resist Benghazi Committee The dance between Hillary Clinton and the House Select Committee on Benghazi continues. First, Clinton dumped her email on the State Department and wiped her hands of the matter. And she continues to stonewall the committee’s request for her to testify. In an April 23 letter to Clinton’s personal attorney David Kendall, committee chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) said if everyone cooperates, Clinton could testify twice before Independence Day and be done with the committee. “It is necessary to call Secretary Clinton twice because the committee needs to ensure we have a complete and responsive record and all the facts before we then substantively question her on the Benghazi terrorist attacks,” Gowdy wrote. After all, the committee has only 300 of Clinton’s emails. But Kendall wrote back, “Respectfully, there is no basis, logic, or precedent for such an unusual request. The Secretary is fully prepared to stay for the duration of the Committee’s questions on the day she appears.” Kendall suggested Clinton appear before the committee the week of May 18, but only once. She doesn’t want to “prolong the Committee’s efforts further by appearing on two separate occasions when one will suffice,” he wrote. Obstruct, obfuscate and deny — it’s the same old Clinton modus operandi. More… Comment | Share Share FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS When Drawing Muhammad, It Depends on Who Wields the Pen By Dan Gilmore Winning cartoonist Bosch Fawstin By the way leftists have yammered this week, one gets the impression they believe there might be a right to draw Muhammad, an image offensive to many Muslims, but it’s a freedom conditional on who wields the pen — and even then there are limits. On Sunday, Bosch Fawstin won the top prize at the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) Muhammad-drawing contest in Garland, Texas. It was an image of Muhammad materializing under the artist’s pencil. He holds a sword aloft and he’s saying, “You can’t draw me!” The artist in the picture replies, “That’s why I draw you.” Meanwhile, two jihadists, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, made the 1,000-mile road trip from Phoenix, Arizona. But instead of garnering the support of the Leftmedia — as it gave to Charlie Hebdo’s cartoonists and editors after the massacre at its offices, insincere as it was — the liberal talking heads turned on AFDI and said no one at the event had any right drawing Muhammad. Maybe it was because the Southern Poverty Law Center labeled AFDI an anti-Muslim hate group. Maybe it was because a good guy with a gun decided the final outcome of the day. Fawstin has all the reason in the world to draw the figure. In his acceptance speech, Fawstin revealed he grew up Muslim: “The problem with even moderate Muslims — I was raised in the Bronx by Albanian Muslim parents — is that the poison of misogyny, and Jew hatred, it gets everyone.” As he grew older, he grew hostile to the religion of his youth. He later adopted the objectivist philosophy of Ayn Rand. He created a superhero — Pigman — who fights jihadists, and drew several comic books with the character. It was a response to DC and Marvel avoiding the issue of violent Islam — not allowing Captain America to fight jihadists, for example. But he’s no Charlie Hebdo cartoonist. “They tell the truth about Islam and jihad every single day. I’m a cartoonist, I have a blog … every so often, I have a comic book series I do, but I don’t do it every day,” he said. Renald “Luz” Luzier drew Muhammad twice for the cover of Charlie Hebdo. When jihadists attacked his paper, killing his coworkers, he drew the figure again as a response to the terrorists who tried to silence him. Recently, however, he said he would stop drawing the figure because “It no longer interests me.” Both cartoonists had reasons to draw Muhammad. But now everyone is bickering over who has more of a right to draw the figure. When PBS’s Charlie Rose asked Charlie Hebdo’s film critic Jean-Baptiste Thoret to offer his opinion about the attacks in Garland, Thoret labeled AFDI’s images of Muhammad illegitimate because, unlike Charlie Hebdo, the group was making fun of only Muslims. Charlie Hebdo, on the other hand, lampoons everyone to advance a socialist political philosophy. “To be honest, I can’t imagine the kind of comparison you can make between the Charlie Hebdo attack January 7 and this event,” Thoret said. “You have, as you said, a sort of anti-Muslim movement, a very harsh movement against Islamization of the U.S.” Since Charlie Hebdo is also anti-Christian and anti-Jew, they’re in the clear. Thoret’s not the only progressive to justify the attacks against AFDI. Chris Matthews played “hardball” with the story, calling the event a “mousetrap” to enrage Muslims. “Well, I think [AFDI’s president Pamela Geller] caused this trouble, and whether this trouble came yesterday, or it came two weeks from now, it’s going to be in the air as long as you taunt.” See folks? AFDI’s skirt was a little too short, its blouse a little too tight. Those Muslim jihadists couldn’t help themselves. That said, just because free speech is free doesn’t mean it’s not obnoxious or that it won’t have consequences, though responsibility for the attack rests on the jihadists alone. This is the failure of the Leftmedia’s moral backbone. The Founders included the First Amendment specifically to protect political speech — even speech that is gratuitously offensive or deliberately obnoxious. This is why that amendment is interpreted so liberally, and also why leftists' fair-weather defense is so hypocritical. The jihadist veto is a growing influence in the Left’s thinking about free speech. Now, the Left implies there are limits to speech. They assume Americans are free to speak until someone threatens them with a gun. Now, they only cower in fear, talking amongst themselves about who most deserved the violence. In the late 1960s and 1970s, cities became war zones, but the rioting almost entirely disappeared in the high-flying 1980s and 1990s, when incomes were rising, and job growth surged. Under Obama’s slow-growth economy, urban unrest is bubbling over. Comparing the growth rate during this recovery with others during the past 50 years, we are $1.6 trillion lower on current gross domestic product than we should be. Even more amazing: With a Reagan-style recovery, we’d have $2.5 trillion more output and income today. On average, every family in America would have $20,000 more annual income. That’s the crisis that has many Americans feeling so angry. It is, to borrow a phrase from Barack Obama about the Baltimore riots, ‘a rolling crisis.’ He could have being referring to the economy.” Comment | Share SHORT CUTS Insight: “When liberty is taken away by force it can be restored by force.

If Hilly is the Democrats’ Romney, is Bernie her Ron Paul? -   John Dickerson explains why Hilly Clinton is just ducky with having Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., as a sparring partner: “When pressed about donations to the Clinton foundation, Sanders said it concerned him before quickly changing the subject to the Koch brothers and how much worse their influence is in politics. That is what Clinton allies do. If this continues to be the Vermont senator's approach, Sanders will be more of a help to Clinton's presidential chances than he will be to his own. … In 2012 Rep. Ron Paul and Mitt Romney had a symbiotic relationship in the Republican campaign. Paul elevated his own profile and gave his voters an outlet, but he never pointed out the yawning gaps between what he claimed to believe so deeply and the positions of the man who was on his way to being the party's inevitable nominee.”  -Fox News

BUDGET VOTE HOT SEAT FOR BLUE STATE GOP
The Republican budget plan passed Thursday by the House and headed for the Senate next week opens a political dilemma for some GOP members of the upper chamber. Facing the prospect that voters in the blue states they represent might give them the boot in 2016, vulnerable Republican Senators are on the spot. Senators like Mark Kirk, R-Ill., Ron Johnson, R-Wis., Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., Rob Portman, R-Ohio and Mike Toomey, R-Pa., will weigh how the budget blueprint – which boosts defense spending, slashes social welfare programs and targets nObamaCare – will play at home. With potential challengers and Democratic opponents ready to exploit incumbent voting records, the politically charged GOP plan is just one of many tests they face over the next 17 months. For those most vulnerable (Kirk tops the list) arm-twisting by Senate leadership will likely fall flat. And while some get-out-of-jail-free passes will allow politically pinched Senators to buck the party, how many and who gets them is up to Majority Leader Mitch McCon-nell.

Jihadists Attack Texas Art Exhibit of Muhammad Images
The kind of terror jihadists unleashed when they attacked the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris because the paper mocked Muhammad came to Texas Sunday night. But instead of a massacre, the two attackers were killed by Garland, Texas, police officers. The American Freedom Defense Initiative held an art exhibit and contest for images of Muhammad at Garland's Curtis Culwell Center. On Twitter, followers of the Islamic State were writing their threats. One wrote last week, "Brothers in Garland Texas Please go to there with your weapons, bombs or with your knives. Threaten your enemies & the enemies of Allaah [sic]." The event was wrapping up around 7 p.m. when suspected jihadist Elton Simpson of Arizona drove up to the event with his roommate and opened fire. The duo wounded unarmed Garland ISD officer Bruce Joiner in the ankle before police officers returned fire. The American Freedom Defense Initiative paid $10,000 to hire 40 officers to provide extra security. President of the group Pamela Geller said in February, "That's what we call the high cost of freedom." Indeed, the Garland attack shows how the freedom of expression is protected from an assassin's veto only with the Second Amendment. More...

Are the Charges Against the Baltimore Officers an Overreach?
The six police officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray have been tried in the court of public opinion and have been found guilty. Marilyn Mosby, who is three months into her job as Baltimore City State's Attorney, threw the book at the six officers, pinning charges ranging from second degree depraved heart murder to second degree assault to false imprisonment. But those may be inflated charges carried along by the rhetoric of rioters in Baltimore's streets, as Hot Air's Jazz Shaw points out. As Mosby said at the press conference announcing the charges: "To the people of Baltimore and demonstrators across America, I heard your call for 'No Justice, No peace.'" Furthermore, Mosby has connections that may become conflicts of interest. For example, she has a professional and personal relationship with Gray's family lawyer. The Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police believed so strongly that an injustice was being committed with Mosby's overreach on charges, it wrote an open letter. "None of the officers involved are responsible for the death of Mr. Gray," president of the order Gene Ryan wrote. "To the contrary, at all times, each of the officers diligently balanced their obligations to protect Mr. Gray and discharge their duties to protect the public." In overcharging the officers, Mosby may have simply embittered a mob that will break out in violence if it doesn't receive what it demands.  -The Patriot Post

Could America Withstand Another Morally Rudderless President?
(Ted Cronn) - The Democratic Party these days seems to just be tossing things at the wall to see if they stick as it works out its 2016 presidential strategy...The party doesn’t seem to have a plan as its previous plan of “let Hilly crown herself queen” falls apart. Between revelations of possibly helping Vladimir Putin gain control of America’s uranium production, disclosure of her foundation’s non-disclosure of foreign donations, stories about her brittle personality, and whatever else can be dragged up from her closet full of skeletons, it’s a wonder that she hasn’t dropped out of sight or been hauled off in chains. Not a promising beginning for a long-awaited lady leader of the free world.     http://politicaloutcast.com/2015/05/could-america-withstand-another-morally-rudderless-president/

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter hugs and kisses Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as they meet in Ramallah on May 2, 2015. Carter said the same day that he did not ask to meet Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to Israel and the PA, because "it would be a waste of time to ask."
 Palestinians Need Reforms, Not Elections
(Khaled Abu Toameh) - The Palestinian Authority (PA) has recently come under pressure from Western governments and politicians to hold long overdue elections in the West Bank and Gaza Strip...But those who are demanding that the Palestinians hold another free and democratic election are ignoring the possibility that Hamas will once again win the vote. The PA leadership in the West Bank is well aware of Hamas's strong chance of winning the election. That is why PA President Mahmoud Abbas and his ruling Fatah faction are not enthusiastic about the idea.       http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5686/palestinians-reforms

The Anti-Cartoon Jihad Comes To America
(Matthew Vadum) - Two gunmen were killed by police Sunday night after they opened fire wounding a security officer at a Texas art competition featuring works depicting the Muslim prophet Muhammad, a practice that is strictly forbidden in Islam...As of very early Monday morning, the identity of the two attackers was unclear, but it is hard to believe the assault was not carried out by Islamists. Watchdog group Judicial Watchhas claimed the Muslim terrorists of Islamic State (a.k.a. ISIS or ISIL) are operating a training camp in Mexico about eight miles from the U.S. border near El Paso, Texas. The fact the event was attacked is proof that free speech needs protection in America, event organizer and author Robert Spencer told this writer in a late-night telephone interview. “The shooting shows how much the event was needed,” Spencer said. “The shooting shows freedom of speech is under violent assault in the United States. It shows that the jihadis are willing to kill to enforce our obedience to Shariah law.”     http://www.frontpagemag.com/2015/matthew-vadum/the-anti-cartoon-jihad-comes-to-america/?utm_source=FrontPage+Magazine&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=3b7f0741f3-Mailchimp_FrontPageMag&utm_term=0_57e32c1dad-3b7f0741f3-156509103

House will struggle to pass spending bills that adhere to caps
(Susan Ferrechio) - It was supposed to be the easy one. A bill to fund military construction and veterans affairs for fiscal 2016 was expected to sail through the House on Wednesday...but at the last minute Republicans postponed a vote when it became clear a Democratic amendment to blow up the legislation actually stood a chance of passing with GOP support. The legislation was poised to eventually pass, Republican leaders insisted, but the floor struggle over the measure foreshadows what will be a difficult few months as Congress attempts to pass 12 spending bills that stick to federally-mandated spending caps that lawmakers in both parties despise. A bill to fund the Departments of Labor and Health and Human Services as well as legislation to pay for the Departments of Transportation and Housing and Urban Development are expected to be impossible to pass, due to the mandated spending limit.       http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/house-will-struggle-to-pass-spending-bills-that-adhere-to-caps/article/2563851?utm_campaign=Prospect:%20Politics%20Today%20pmi&utm_source=Prospect:%20Politics%20Today%20pmi%20-%2005/04/15&utm_medium=email

Retail apocalypse: Major chains closing 6,000 stores
(wnd.com) - The long feared “Retail apocalypse” may be hitting with little or no fanfare if a growing list of store-closing plans by major chains is any indication...Major U.S. retailers have announced the closing of more than 6,000 stores from coast to coast. The list includes only those retailers which have announced plans to close more than 10 outlets this year and next. For example, 1,784 Radio Shack stores are vanishing, 400 of the Office Depot/Office Max chain by 2016, and 340 Dollar Tree/Family Dollar stores. The growing list of stores getting shuttered coincides with the decline in discretionary consumer spending over the past six months. “Expect to see more storefronts closed at malls across the country,” one retail watcher told WND. “It’s getting ugly out there.”        http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/retail-apocalypse-6000-chains-closing-stores/

The Marshall Islands' cautionary tale

(jewishworldreview.com) - On Tuesday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps forcibly commandeered the Maersk Tigris as navigated its way through the Straits of Hormuz. Iran controls the strategic waterway through which 40 percent of seaborne oil and a quarter of seaborne gas transits to global markets.
.
The Maersk Tigris is flagged to the Marshall Islands. The South Pacific archipelago gained its independence from the US in 1986 after signing a treaty conceding its right to self-defense in exchange for US protection. According to the treaty, the US has "full authority and responsibility for security and defense of the Marshall Islands."
.
Given the US's formal, binding obligation to the Marshall Islands, the Iranian seizure of the ship was in effect an act of war against America.
.
In comments to Bloomberg hours after the ship was seized, Junior Aini, chargé d'affairs at the Marshall Islands Embassy in Washington, indicated that his government's only recourse is to rely on the US to free its ship.
.
Immediately after the incident began, the US Navy deployed a destroyer to the area. But that didn't seem to make much of an impression on the Iranians. More significant than the naval movement was the fact that the nObama administration failed to condemn their unlawful action.
.
If the administration continues to stand by in the face of Iran's aggression, the strategic implications will radiate far beyond the US's bilateral ties with the Marshall Islands. If the US allows Iran to get away with unlawfully seizing a Marshall Islands flagged ship it is treaty bound to protect, it will reinforce the growing assessment of its Middle Eastern allies that its security guarantees are worthless.
.
As the Israel Project's Omri Ceren put it in an email briefing to journalists, "the US would be using security assurances not to shield allies from Iran but to shield Iran from allies."
.
But President Barack nObama apparently won't allow a bit of Iranian naval piracy to rain on his parade. This week nObama indicated that he feels very good about where his policy on Iran now stands. And he has every reason to be satisfied.
.
With each day that passes, the chance diminishes that his nuclear deal with the mullahs will be scuppered.
.
On the one hand, the Iranians are signaling that they are willing to sign a deal with the Great Satan. And this makes sense. For them the deal has no downside.
.
First there's the money. Last week the State Department indicated that it won't rule out paying Iran a $50 billion "signing bonus."
.
The $50b. would be an advance on Iranian funds that have been frozen in Western banks under the terms of the sanctions regime that would be lifted in the event a deal is concluded.
.
Iran can do a lot with $50b.
.
Iran is spending $3b. a month to finance its war in Syria. With $50b. in their pockets the ayatollahs can fight for another year and a half without selling a barrel of oil.
.
According to a report earlier this week on Channel 10, during Syrian Defense Minister General Fahd al-Freij's visit to Tehran this week, he was instructed to enable Hezbollah to open a front against Israel on the Golan Heights. Iran's "signing bonus" would pay for Iran's new war against Israel.
.
As for their nuclear weapons program, even nObama admitted that when his deal expires in 10 years, Iran will have the capacity to build nuclear weapons at will.
.
Iran can get around the ideological issue of signing with its theological foe by focusing its hatred on the US Congress, something Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif did effortlessly at a press conference in New York on Wednesday.
.
At home as well, nObama no longer faces serious opposition to his Iran policy. The Iranian Nuclear Agreement Review Act, the bill now being debated on the Senate floor, ensures that Congress will have no ability to stand in the way of the deal. In contrast to the provisions of the US Constitution that require a two-third Senate majority to approve an international treaty, the Senate bill requires a two-third majority of senators to block the implementation of nObama's nuclear deal with the greatest state sponsor of terrorism.
.
nObama has successfully bullied centrist Democrat senators into abandoning their concern for US national security and supporting his deal.
.
They in turn have convinced centrist Republicans — and AIPAC — to push forward the legislation and so turn Congress into partner in nObama's nuclear gambit.
.
Attempts by Republican senators, including presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz, to attach amendments to the bill that would require Congress to either treat the deal as an international treaty, or at the very least require a simple majority to reject it, have been strenuously opposed not only by the Democrats, but by the Republican leadership as well.

nObama's confidence that his deal will go through has freed him up to mark the next target of his foreign policy in what he recently referred to as the "fourth quarter" of his presidency: Israel.
.
According to a report in Foreign Policy, the administration is now seeking to delay anti-Israel resolutions at the UN Security Council — including a French draft resolution that would require Israel to surrender all of Judea and Samaria and northern, southern and eastern Jerusalem to the Palestinians — until after the deal with Iran is concluded at the end of June. According to the report, the administration doesn't want to upset pro-Israel Democrats while it still needs them to approve the deal with Iran.
.
But nObama has no problem with marking the target.
.
And so, on Monday, Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman did just that.
.
In an address before Reform Jews, Sherman issued a direct threat against Israel.
.
In her words, "If the new Israeli government is seen to be stepping back from its commitment to a two-state solution, that will make our job in the international arena much tougher... it will be harder for us to prevent internationalizing the conflict."
.
In an apparent attempt to soften the harsh impression Sherman's statement made on the Israeli public, on Wednesday US Ambassador Dan Shapiro gave an interview to Army Radio.
.
Although his American-accented Hebrew is always a crowd pleaser, Shapiro's statements were simply a more diplomatic restatement of Sherman's threat.
.
As he put it, "We are entering a period without negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians and this leads us to two important challenges.
.
One — how do we make progress toward the two-states for two-peoples solution, and two — negotiations have always been critical to preventing the delegitimization of Israel."
.
In other words, Shapiro signaled that the nObama administration expects Israel to make significant concessions to the Palestinians in return of nothing, in the absence of negotiations.
.
And if we fail to make such unreciprocated concessions, we will have no legitimacy and the US will have no choice but to act against Israel at the UN.
,
That is, by Shapiro's and Sherman's telling, Israel's unwillingness to bow to Palestinian and US demands for concessions to the Palestinians is what has caused and what feeds the international campaign to delegitimize its right to exist.
.
For anyone who entertains the thought that Shapiro and Sherman are correct to blame Israel for the movement to delegitimize it, this week we received new proof of its falsity.
.
This week, the leaders of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement condemned Israel not for failing to make concessions to the Palestinians. This week they condemned the Jewish state for helping Nepal earthquake victims.
.
Ever since the Israeli humanitarian aid mission set off for Nepal earlier this week, leading figures in the BDS movement have been working overtime to attribute ill and even demonic intentions to their mission.
.
Kenneth Roth, the executive director of Human Rights Watch, tweeted on his Twitter account, "Easier to address a far-away humanitarian disaster than the nearby one of Israel's making in Gaza. End the blockade!" Max Blumenthal, a Jewish anti-Semite who has risen to prominence in the BDS campaign, tweeted, "For a country responsible for so many man-made catastrophes, natural disasters can't come often enough."
.
Ali Abumiah, the editor of Electronic Intifada, intoned that Israel was racist to evacuate newborn infants born to surrogate mothers in Nepal and leave the surrogates behind. He also tweeted, "Propaganda operation goes into high gear to exploit Nepal earthquake to improve Israel's blood-soaked image."
.
These assaults, which attribute malign, exploitative designs to Israel's humanitarian relief efforts, make clear that there is no connection between Israel's actions and hostility toward Israel.
.
The purpose of the BDS movement is not to pressure Israel to make concessions to the Palestinians.
.
Its purpose is to delegitimize Israel's right to exist and delegitimize support for Israel's right to exist.
.
If Israel is evil for sending hundreds of soldiers and relief workers to Nepal to rescue earthquake victims, clearly Israel will be attacked as evil for making concessions to the Palestinians that the Palestinians and the nObama administration will insist are insufficient.
.
Shapiro's claim that negotiations between Israel and the PLO, or Israeli unilateral concessions to the Palestinians, protect Israel from its Western detractors is totally unfounded.
.
There is a thread that runs between Obama's policy toward Iran and his policy toward Israel.
That common threat is mendacity. nObama's actual goals in both have little to do with his stated ones.
.
nObama claims that he wishes to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. But as we see from his willingness to allow Iran to become a nuclear threshold state while running wild in the Straits of Hormuz, committing mass slaughter in Syria, building an empire that includes Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen, and threatening its Arab neighbors and Israel, the purpose of the administration's negotiations with Iran is not to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power.
.
The purpose of the negotiations is to build an American-Iranian alliance on Iran's terms.
.
So, too, nObama says his goal is to advance the cause of peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
.
But his pressure and hostility toward Israel does nothing to achieve this goal. The goal of a policy of acting with hostility toward Israel is not to promote peace. It is to distance the US from Israel and align America's Israel policy with Europe's preternaturally hostile treatment of the Jewish state.
.
Three days after a ship sailing under their flag was seized by Iran's Revolutionary Guards, citizens of the Marshall Islands discovered that their decision to place their security in America's hands is no longer the safe bet they thought it was 29 years ago.
.
Anyone who entertains the belief that Israel will gain diplomatic acceptance or even a respite from American pressure if it makes concessions to the Palestinians is similarly making a high risk gamble.
.

Derailing Distractions With Facts

By Craig Andresen and Diane Sori –  Right Side Patriots on cprworldwidemedia.net

Conspiracy theories to the left of us…wedding cakes and pizza parlors to the right of cta-1.jpg?width=190us…and a regime caught in the middle facing in all likelihood the probability that not only will Congress stay ‘red’ in 2016 but that the White House will turn ‘red’ too. And having no real platform to run on what with our economy in the tubes and our enemies laughing at us, the only tactic they have left to salvage anything of substance is to divert and deflect our attention away from the prize.

And boy have the diversions worked up until now. Let’s see, first we had ebola the supposed death of us all; then Ferguson and Baltimore where the ‘element’ behaved oh so badly; and now we have Jade Helm a supposed military op to take over America and lock us all up in a Walmart somewhere. And all this because 2016 looms large and all this because of two upcoming Supreme Court decisions that could put the final nail in Obama’s nefarious agenda and legacy.

So with Ebola and Ferguson over and done, and with Baltimore still simmering, let’s look at Jade Helm…

Updated Satellite Data Puts a Chill on Global Warming
More bad news for climate scaremongers. Remote Sensing Systems recordings, which more accurately reflect global temperatures, have perplexed many scientists ever since they revealed a global warming hiatus that's now lasted for more than 18 years. In response, alarmists have trashed RSS findings in favor of NOAA's complicated and flawed method. Three University of Alabama climatologists, Roy Spencer, John Christy and William Braswell, just concluded additional research on UAH Version 6, an alternative system used to study global temperatures. Not only did the new research cast further doubt on the claims of climate alarmists, but the adjustments revealed similar results to that of RSS. You can read more about why revisions are necessary and, notably, how these revisions are different than NOAA's alleged tampering with historical data. To summarize, UAH's newest finding is another inconvenient truth for envirofascists — which is exactly why they'll ignore it.  -The Patriot Post

Sen. Corker's Stand for a Better GOP Budget
Republicans' first attempt to present a fiscally responsible budget after assuming control of Capitol Hill ran into some snags this week. A budget resolution hashed out between House and Senate negotiators was expected to see an easy passage before Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) stalled the process by refusing to sign on to the final proposal. Corker, recently listed as one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People, where he was described as the "pragmatist of Congress," is known for having a strong grasp of economics after spending many successful years in the private sector. He withdrew his support of the budget because he saw the proposal as riddled with budget gimmicks. The resolution that Republicans crafted relies on a budget tool that gives lawmakers flexibility in dealing with spending curbs. This budgetary shell game is cleverly known as CHIMPS. Changes in Mandatory Programs — and it allows for boosting spending in some areas by offsetting spending in mandatory programs. The trouble with CHIMPS is that those spending cuts in mandatory programs are rarely, if ever, honored, basically amounting to an overall increase in spending.   -The Patriot Post

PANDER BEAR: HILLY GETS PRESS PASS ON FLIP FLOPS
If a candidate reverses a long-held position is it a “flip-flop” or someone who is “not afraid to run as her own woman?” That seems to depend on who’s doing the flopping. In the three weeks since the official launch of her second presidential campaign, Hilly Clinton, has been moving left in a hurry. In response to riots in Baltimore, the presumptive Democratic nominee came forward to disown tough-on-drugs policies she had previously touted. While conditions have certainly changed since the end of the crack wars those policies were enacted to stop, so too have the politics. In 2008, Clinton was upended by a little-known African-American candidate. And since then, the issue of those Clinton-era drug laws has become enormous for black Democrats. It’s the same story for the trade policies that Clinton three years ago called “the gold standard” but today, with a wary eye on her left flank, says are worrisome.
When a politician suddenly reverses themselves to a more politically advantageous position we call it “flip-flopping” or “caving” or even “pandering.” When Mitt Romney reversed himself on abortion and global warming, he was widely seen as either bowing to pressure from his base or being morally flexible in pursuit of power. There was not so much talk about how times had changed. Quite the opposite. Other than hanoi John Kerry, who once managed to complete a full flip-flop in a single sentence – “I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.” – Democrats are given a far wider berth for policy switches.
The reason perhaps is that people are more inclined to forgive politicians who change directions in ways with which they agree, and the press slants… well, you know which way the press slants. It would be hard not to see President nObama as having pandered to his base with a reversal on same-sex marriage ahead of the 2012 election. But he “evolved” on a social issue while Romney “pandered.”
So will Clinton get a pass? For now, probably yes. Clinton and her husband have a decades-long track record of ideological flexibility and a penchant for political expediency. And so long as she is moving leftward, her party and the press will mostly cheer. Gender plays a role here, too. Commentators who see Clinton repudiating the policies of her husband and the current Democratic president see something of the feminist mystique – a woman unencumbered by the men who previously controlled her. She is now free to be herself. And if that happens to coincide with what the pollsters and the focus groups say, well, you can’t blame a gal for being lucky… The danger for Clinton is later. Her reversals and legalese will make plenty of good fodder for Republican ads next year. The gang at America Rising is probably already making the Hilly super-cut of all super-cuts. But for now, she can be happy in the embrace of a party and press that wants to believe that she’s finally living her best (and most liberal) life.  -Fox News

Nigeria’s Military Defeats Muslim Terrorist Boko Haram
(shoebat.com) - Nigeria’s military  rescued 234 more girls and women out of the estimated 2000 girls from a Boko Haram stronghold in a forest in the northeast part of the country, it announced on social media Saturday...The kidnapping Boko Haram does in not only for sexual slavery, but indoctrination of these girls into becoming Islamic jihadists. This brings the number of females declared rescued this week to more than 677 none of which appear to be the Chibok girls captured last April whom Michelle nObama, Rihanna and Ellen DeGeneres helped #BringBackOurGirls become an international rallying cry.       http://shoebat.com/2015/05/02/nigerias-military-defeats-muslim-terrorist-boko-haram-and-rescues-hundreds-of-women/

 Assad Not Finished Yet
(Jonathan Spyer) - A number of reports have been published in recent days suggesting the tide of the war in Syria may finally have turned decisively against the Assad regime...The reports cite a series of successes the Syrian rebels have achieved in recent weeks, and suggest the dictator and his allies will have difficulty reversing these setbacks. So is the game really finally up for the bloodstained regime of the Assads? A close examination of the evidence suggests that President Bashar Assad's eulogizers have once again spoken too soon. To understand why, let's first of all look at the nature of the undoubted successes the various rebel coalitions have achieved.     http://www.meforum.org/5216/assad-not-finished

Iran Moves Warships Into Key Strategic Position
(Wilmot Proviso) - In another ominous sign of deteriorating conditions in the Middle East, Iranmoved two of its warships into Bab-el-Mandeb, a narrow strait that is a strategic position between Yemen and Djibouti...The Bab-el-Mandeb is the point of entry to the Red Sea from the south. Roughly four million barrels of oil pass through the strait on a daily basis, heading either to or from the Suez Canal to the north, according to Yahoo News. The movement of warships into the strait comes after a tumultuous month in the region. Just last week, U.S. warships left the waters off of Yemen after several Iranian ships suspected of carrying weapons to the Shiite rebels in Yemen turned back as well.       http://www.westernjournalism.com/iran-moves-warships-into-key-strategic-position/?utm_campaign=54ebe14371e7fc692400399a&utm_source=BoomTrain&utm_medium=email&utm_content=recommended&bt_alias=eyJ1c2VySWQiOiIzYTA1NmU5Mi03ZjUwLTQ3NTQtYWE2Ny1jNzdiN2VjNGVhODQifQ%3D%3D

Supreme Court Justices Declaring Themselves Gods?

In doing so, it will be declaring the Supreme Court to be a new Olympus made up of a plurality of gods...For decades Supreme Court justices have been working for self-deification. Catherine Drinker Bowen's fictionalized biography of Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. Yankee from Olympus, wasn’t all that fictional. “Holmes helped move American legal thinking towards legal realism, as summed up in his maxim: ‘The life of the law has not been logic; it has been experience.’ Holmes espoused a form of moral skepticism and opposed the doctrine of natural law, marking a significant shift in American jurisprudence.        http://eaglerising.com/18050/supreme-court-justices-declaring-themselves-gods/

Dobson: 'Fall of Western civilization' at hand
(Bob Unruh) - Dr. James Dobson, who founded the highly influential groups Focus on the Family and Family Research Council and now runs Family Talk Radio, is warning that if the U.S. Supreme Court redefines marriage as analysts predict, the ruling will presage the “fall of Western civilization.”... “I do not recall a time when the institutions of marriage and the family have faced such peril, or when the forces arrayed against them were more formidable or determined,” he writes in a letter distributed to his hundreds of thousands of supporters. “Barring a miracle, the family that has existed since antiquity will likely crumble, presaging the fall of Western civilization itself. This is a time for concerted prayer, divine wisdom and greater courage than we have ever been called upon to exercise,” he writes.        http://www.wnd.com/2015/05/dobson-fall-of-western-civilization-at-hand/

Sessions: Trade deal opens immigration floodgates
(Paul Bedard) - President nObama's bid for fast track trade authority along with a huge Asian trade deal fell into further trouble Sunday night when a key Republican senator charged that the deals open the door to more immigration and let the administration make future changes without congressional approval...Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions delivered the bruising blow when he raised five questions about the Trade Promotion Authority speeding through Congress and the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal that TPA would help push. "The president has circumvented Congress on immigration with serial regularity. But the TPA would yield new power to the executive to alter admissions while subtracting congressional checks against those actions," said a "critical alert" dispatched by the senator's office.  ISIS Claims Responsiblity for Attack in Texas

(Wills Robinson & Ted Thornhill) - A former terror suspect has been named as one of the gunmen shot dead by police after two attackers blasted an unarmed security guard in the ankle during an anti-Islam art contest in Texas on Sunday night...Two heavily-armed men, who are believed to have been carrying explosives, were killed by police after opening fire outside the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Dallas, at around 7pm during a controversial event where caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad were being displayed. Followers of Islam deem that any physical depiction of the prophet - even a positive one - is blasphemous. A senior FBI official has identified one of the men as Elton Simpson, who was previously the subject of a terror investigation, according to ABC News.   http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3066779/Police-officer-suspect-said-injured-shooting-outside-art-anti-Muslim-exhibition-art-depicting-prophet-Muhammad.html?AID=7236

Baltimore Received $1.8 Billion from nObama’s Stimulus Law
(Elizabeth Harrington) - The city of Baltimore received over $1.8 billion from President Barack nObama’s stimulus law, including $467.1 million to invest in education and $26.5 million for crime prevention...President nObama claimed last Tuesday that if the Republican-controlled Congress would implement his policies to make “massive investments in urban communities,” they could “make a difference right now” in the city, currently in upheaval following the death of Freddie Gray. However, a Washington Free Beacon analysis found that the nObama administration and Democratically-controlled Congress did make a “massive” investment into Baltimore, appropriating $1,831,768,487 though the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), commonly known as the stimulus.        http://freebeacon.com/issues/baltimore-received-1-8-billion-from-obamas-stimulus-law/

Another Bad Week for Hilly Clinton
(freebeacon.com) - The headlines this week have not been full of good news for Hilly Clinton. Politico reported that the Clinton Foundation is in a “tailspin,” the Boston Globe reported that the foundation had insufficient donor disclosure...and the author of the book Clinton Cash received a lot of media attention. The foundation has remained silent and Hilly has been touting her speech at Columbia University on Wednesday. On Bloomberg TV’s With All Due Respect, John Heilemann asked Mark Halperin, his co-host, whether Clinton had a good week or a bad week. Halperin said that Hilly’s speech was a good for her but the Clinton Cash scandal would not be going away anytime soon. The Boston Globe reported that for four years, including the time that Hilly served as secretary of state, the foundation did not disclose any foreign donors or the amount of money that was given to the foundation. Heilemann called it the most “egregious flaunting” of the agreement that was made with the nObama administration.   http://freebeacon.com/issues/halperin-heilemann-another-bad-week-for-hillary-clinton/

(tommclaughlin.blogspot.com) - We won a battle against Radical Islam Sunday night, thanks to prompt action by Plano, Texas police, but I’m afraid we’re losing the war. Pam Geller has been fighting it for years here in the United States and elsewhere. President nObama, our commander-in-chief, acts as though he doesn’t even know who we’re fighting.

                       Dead jihadis in Plano
.
I had another piece ready for my Monday morning deadline at one of the newspapers carrying this column, but then I saw the first reports about what happened at Pam Geller’s Free Speech Conference Sunday night. Two Islamic gunmen showed up armed with AK-47s and explosives ready to kill as many people as they could. However, some very tough-looking Plano, Texas policemen shot them dead before they could. They were only able to shoot an unarmed school security guard in the ankle before they were killed. Now they’re both knock-knock-knocking on heaven’s door looking for their 72 virgins.

I first met Pam at the 2007 National Review “Conservative Summit” in Washington DC. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich gave a speech there about Radical Islam and I went up to the microphone to ask him a question. I asked why our government was working against teachers like me who were trying to inform our students about who America was fighting. I told him I was having a hard time because the Bush and then the nObama Administration was removing references to Islam from official literature about who our enemy was. Gingrich answered telling me to continue what I was doing and the government would eventually catch up. As soon as I sat down, Pam Geller came over to interview me for her web site “Atlas Shrugs.”

Wilders with armed guards at Geller reception
.
Every year at CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) in Washington, I’d visit with her and Robert Spencer, her constant companion. In 2009, she invited Geert Wilders, a Member of Parliament in Holland, founder and leader of Holland’s “Party For Freedom,” the third-largest party in the Dutch Parliament with twenty-four seats. Radical Islam put a fatwa on Wilders when he produced “Fitna,” a film showing Quran verses alongside images of Islamic terrorist attacks. Ever since, Wilders has armed guards with him 24-7. CPAC 2009 lacked the courage to sponsor Wilders, so Pam had to rent space in the Omni Shoreham hotel for his reception. I attended with friends. Wilders also spoke in Plano Sunday night.

Pam organized her Plano, Texas conference back in January, right after other Islamic gunmen attacked the Paris, France offices of Charlie Hebdo, a left-wing magazine that published cartoons of Muhammed, who Muslims consider their prophet. Radical Muslims shot twenty-two people, killing eleven. Pam selected the Curtis Culwell Center in Plano because Muslims from Dallas held the “Stand With The Prophet Conference” to combat “Islamophobia” there just days after the mass murder in Paris.

According to the Washington Free Beacon last January: “Scheduled to attend the Stand With The Prophet Conference is controversial New York-based Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who was an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings trial. Wahhaj has called the FBI and CIA the ‘real terrorists’ and expressed a desire for all Americans to become Muslim, according to the New York Post.”

Another. You won't see these in Mainstream Media
.
One of the dead terrorists, Elton Simpson, is reported to be a Muslim convert. As of this writing, the other one was his roommate, but hasn’t been identified. We can expect the Mainstream Media to blame Pam for inciting violence by sponsoring her $10,000 contest to draw a cartoon of Muhammed, one of the free speech themes of her conference officially called: “American Freedom Defense Initiative.” The building she used is owned by the Plano school department and she had to pay $10,000 to the Plano Police for extra officers. Good thing she did. She said on Fox News Monday morning she paid $50,000 all together for security. “Intentionally incendiary and provocative” are the words CNN’s Alisyn Camerota used in her interview with Pam early Monday. There will be more of that by the time you’re reading this in the newspaper Thursday. Much more.
.
.
The president hasn’t spoken about it yet, but we can expect he’ll blame Pam too. The UK Daily Mail blacked out the cartoons displayed at the conference. So did NBC’s Today Show, which I watched this morning. They’re cowards, all of them. If you’re reading this on my web site, you’re seeing the cartoons. I published the Muhammed cartoons from Charlie Hebdo the day eleven of its staff were murdered too. If all media published them, Radical Muslims would have failed in their efforts to intimidate us all. But that would require courage, something conspicuously lacking in our elite media.
