In the late 1950's my family owned several thousand acres of land deep in the heart of the Piney Woods of East Texas. My great great grandparents had built a ranch with thousands of cattle and a fully self sufficient farm that provided food for themselves as well as food and jobs for the entire town.

Now I don't know the specific year, but it was sometime between 1956 and 1965 that a government official showed up with a check in hand to purchase the land from my family.

The government had decided to build a dam and the entire ranch was right in the center of what would soon become McGee Bend Dam and Reservoir, or as it is known today, Lake Sam Rayburn.

This official was greeted politely but told exactly where he could take that check as that farm had been built from the ground up by hand and the loss of the farm would destroy not only the namesake of the ranch but also the livelihood of dozens of families.

Several months later the man showed up again, but this time he was armed with both a signed official letter stating that the ranch was now considered "eminent domain" as well as a police force, armed to the teeth.

He still had a check in hand, only now it was a fraction of the original offer and refusal was not an option.

My family was marched off of the land as though they were squatters, and dozens of jobs were lost.

They were forced to watch in horror as their home washed away under a wall of water.

All for the greater good.

The only thing I see amiss with most of the comments and articles can be contributed to mere semantics, everything else is right on. Referring to those who want to completely disarm the American people, by ignoring the 2^nd amendment, as “just” Liberals is an understatement. We’ve got to play the Socialist Communist Democrat’s semantic game, while avoiding political correctness. Most, if not all low information voters, and the Christians, who got an actual Communist elected to the White House understand the word “communist” where as the word “Liberal” is a title that once belonged to the Republicans and can mean just about anything. Also most people are complaining about what I refer to as arguing about what the dog is saying and not questioning why is the dog talking in the first place. If you look up whoever made the a laws were all complaining about it was a Democrat behind it. That should be the real point, Democrats are behind all this crap. That's what should be pointed out, names, dates, faces and places.

For Instance, the Liberal, Socialist Democrat Party has made a law that when a boy who self-diagnosed himself into "feeling like a girl" wants to go to the girls bathroom at school in Phoenix, he can now. It’s all about feelings not morals.

And, any girl who screams or objects or tries to stop him from entering the girls restroom, the liberal socialist communist party can violate their rights and will prosecute them for a hate crime.

Black Conservatives  rally against Section 5 reverse discriminatory Voting Rights Act current use

The images of vicious bombings that once littered the landscape of the civil rights movement in the 1950’s and 1960’s in America are now a distant memory. Cities like Birmingham, Alabama which were at the epicenter and caught the brunt force of the segregationist fury to deprive black voters of their voting rights have been replaced by a vast number of local and federal minority public officials throughout states and in congress. And of course we cannot forget the two times elected Barack Obama, as president!

So this week, Shelby County, Alabama made the case before the U.S. Supreme Court that the federal Voting Rights Act has seen its day and that Section Five should be overturned. Conservatives have long held that in states and localities like Shelby County where voting rights suppression no longer exists, it makes little legal or moral sense to continue to list a community as being engaged in racist voting practices where none exist.

In reality this case has much deeper significance for the other communities across the country which are also similarly weighted down with this federal mandate. The purpose of the bill is well intended and was needed in its day to protect the rights of minority voters who were systematically deprived of their constitutional right to vote. Now, according to Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, without the presence of racism this law seems to favor racial entitlement, reports Fox News

Yet, in the 21st century, where those same states which bore the mark of racism in their practices regarding minority voting rights, no longer practice those tactics. So should they continue to be marred with the title and legal penalty?

That is essentially what Shelby County has presented in its legal arguments before the justices of the Supreme Court. It is an argument which can be cross-tied with the similar Affirmative Action inequality which has burdened America more recently with imbalanced racial favoritism where racism may no longer exist.

There are many detractors on the left and in civil rights communities who have made a living off of crying falsely crying racism. Their behavior can be likened to the famous fictional Chicken Little character, who claimed, “The sky is falling, the sky is falling!” Well if you remember the rest of the story, Chicken Little finally meets Foxey Loxey, who welcomes Chicken Little and Henny Penny into his den, and, “They never, never come out again.”

Well, this is what is happening to America with this law as well as with continued use of Affirmative Action application and enforcement. Much like Chicken Little, there are those liberal leaders like Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson and President Obama and even the NAACP who insists the sky is still falling. Unfortunately they still continue to lead America into the fox den, where justice and equality under the law for all Americans will never emerge again.

A central question that the court must answer, is when does justice arrive for all Americans if institutional injustice does not exist any longer? If racism in voting practices no longer exists, then what is being monitored?

Poor Bill O'Reilly... his often times arrogant attitude is finally going to get him in trouble. No, when I state here “in trouble” I don not mean by any means that any “man: could do to him. No... what I am sharing here is in regards to what he along with a very long line of very foolish have done throughout history; specifically, that is openly calling God of the Bible a liar. Now Bill hasn't come right-out and called God a “liar”, utilizing that exact word, but he does claim that the Christian Bible is not to be taken literally. Mr. O'Reilly in fact states that the Bible is “allegorical” not literal http://www.wnd.com/2013/02/oreilly-proclaims-the-bible-contradicts-itself/. Bill goes on in the article link I just posted here to state that the Bible actually also contradicts itself... ouch Bill, that's gonna hurt! Again, I really feel sorry for 'Ol Bill but He will learn the hard way I guess.

Let me explain...If you really aren't familiar with Bill O'Reilly, he is well known as a past news correspondent, current author and commentator. He has a television program usually aired on the Fox News Network where he comments on various topics. Many American's have either a love for him or real disdain and or even loathe him. Both Liberals and Conservatives in many ways have voiced opposition to Mr. O'Reilly's “moderate” view points and that has brought many of them also to oppose Bill's views even publicly. There are other various reasons for folks disliking of Mr. O'Reilly though. The largest complaint by far regarding Bill, is his arrogant attitude-plain and simple. Mr. O'Reilly comments on many subjects and if you don't agree with him, he does tend to get into a kind of mean spiritedness. In fact often times you are called a “pin head” by Bill if you do voice opposition to him. Yes, Bill can be correct in his facts and as a matter of fact he is correct more than half-the time I'd say judging by the times I have viewed and listened to him. Mr. O'Reilly's being correct on occasion or even wrong is not the root problem however---Bill's problem is his attitude about being correct (or even when he is wrong). Mr. O'Reilly makes a conscious attempt to degrade people who disagree with him. Hey ! There's nothing wrong about confronting evil but when Bill get's “high on his horse”, there's no knocking him down.... He's right, or else !

Being correct in any matter is a good thing. Most(but not all) American's want fact. Delivery of “facts” however can have a big impact on a person's perception also of the messenger, not just what is being presented as “fact.” Bill O'Reilly's problem often times is his “delivery” of facts and how he treats others. In the past years, Bill has been popularized with his attitude and treatment of others and as a matter of fact, has very high viewer ratings for treating others on his program poorly. That's all good right ? Well, not necessarily...as Bill proclaims on his Fox News program that his is a “no spin zone” program, but Bill is in fact is himself taking a huge step of hypocrisy by claiming in essence the Bible as it is written is not true. By proclaiming the Christian Bible as being “allegorical”, Mr. O'Reilly is doing exactly what he claims he will not allow any guest on his program engage in; “spinning.” He is in essence, calling God, a “pinhead.”

If only Bill's ego would let him see that he is wrong about his view of thee Bible(and other matters). If only he picked up the Christian Bible and read 2 Timothy 3:16 where it is read; “ All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction is righteousness.” I mean it's all so simple to read, is it now Bill ? Adam and Eve... Yes Bill... they really existed and so did every “character” in the Bible. If Bill was smart--- before engaging in writing his upcoming book; “Killing Jesus” Bill should have embarked on looking at all the newly discovered Biblical artifacts found in recent years. As Bill claims there are “new facts” about Jesus, Bill instead looked at the facts that show the words of the Bible are shown to be true. Mr. O'Reilly is treading on dangerous grounds right now. He ought to be extremely careful that he doesn't catch any number of curses and negative consequences mentioned in the Bible for his apostasy and or adding or taking away anything from the Bible(Revelation 22:18-19).

Interestingly perhaps I suppose, I believe, Mr. O'Reilly goes against the beliefs of his own Roman Catholic religious teachings when he spouts such things as the Bible being only allegorical, and not literal. Now, I'm not a “Roman Catholic” kinda guy. For me, I believe in the Bible, not human traditions, but Bill seems so full of himself, that he believes he can challenge anyone including even his own religious leaders. Sure, Bill is probably powerful enough to keep the Roman Catholic Church and their leaders off his back, but does he really think there is no consequence for challenging God and His Word ? Indeed, this is where all men(all people)---eventually go when they become to powerful, Bill O

Reilly also.... these type's get full of themselves and think they can question God and His Word and manipulate God's words to fit any way they want to without consequence. I have good news for Mr. O'Reilly, he can change course(repent) right now; he can read and pray through the Christian Bible with eyes not on his own beliefs and actually read for himself that God says what He means, and means what He says. Mr. O'Reilly can instead though go on in stepping in that land mine and take a chance in seeing what happens. I guarantee everyone one thing, including for Mr. Bill O'Reilly... no man(person) has ever challenged God or His Word without God showing up in ways many would not expect. Yep, I feel sorry for Ol' Bill if he doesn't repent. He's about to get a huge lesson on humility if he doesn't stop his foolish challenge to God and His Word.

20 Of The Most Embarrassing Moments In The History Of The Democrat Party

One will virtually never hear that the Palmer Raids, Prohibition, or American eugenics were thoroughly owned by the Democrats.

The Palmer Raids were attempts by the United States Department of Justice to arrest and deport radical leftists, especially anarchists, from the United States. Attorney General Palmer, a democrat, said, that he could not use individual arrests to treat an "epidemic" and asserted his own fidelity to constitutional principles. The Washington Post endorsed Palmer's claim for urgency over legal process: "There is no time to waste on hairsplitting over infringement of liberties."

In June 1920, a decision by Massachusetts District Court Judge George Anderson ordered the discharge of some arrested radicals and denounced Department of Justice's actions. He wrote that "a mob is a mob, whether made up of Government officials acting under instructions from the Department of Justice, or of criminals and loafers and the vicious classes." His decision effectively prevented any renewal of the raids.

1) The Trail of Tears (1838): The first Democrat President, Andrew Jackson and his successor Martin Van Buren, herded Indians into camps, tormented them, burned and pillaged their homes and forced them to relocate with minimal supplies. Thousands died along the way.

More than 100,000 Americans were arrested, with less than 1% of them ever being found guilty of any kind of crime.

9) Alger Hiss Convicted Of Perjury (1950): Hiss, who helped advise FDR at Yalta and was strongly defended by the Left, turned out to be a Soviet spy. He was convicted of perjury in 1950 (Sadly, the statute of limitations on espionage had run out), but was defended by liberals for decades until the Verona papers proved so conclusively that he was guilty that even most his fellow liberals couldn't continue to deny it.

1.  Obama and unrepentant terrorist William Ayers misappropriated over 300 million dollars in donations meant for the education of Chicago’s minority students. They routed the money to Obama’s community activist buddies who then tried to turn the students in radicals. The program was a total failure.

Can you think of some more besides Obama being a communist, a liar, a thief, an America hater.

Just what is the ‘Sequester” in terms of dollars?  The simplest explanation I have run across is “To put this in perspective, consider that in fiscal year 2012 the federal government spent $3.538 trillion dollars, and is on track to spend $3.796 trillion this year. That means the sequester is about 2.24% of the federal budget. Is it really plausible that such a cut – which would put the federal government’s spending at a level still above the previous year – should result in drastic cuts in essential services?

The kicker in all of this is the sequester cuts are not discretionary within each department.  There are specific cuts that must be made in specific areas.

The Ugly:  Obama will and has used it to “punish” the American people for not allowing him to have his way.  He has already released several thousand Mexican criminals, NOT just illegal immigrants, CRIMINALS!  Let’s face it.  Under his orders to ICE they would not be in prison just for breaking the immigration laws.  He won’t allow that.  They only go to prison for breaking other laws.  His excuse?  The sequester made him do it.  Trust me, that is just another of his many lies.  But then you knew that didn’t you?

The Bad:  The defense budget will be cut almost 13% across the board. The security lines at the airport will get longer and slower.  Hmm I can’t think of any other bad things.  I’ll work on that.

The Good:  The federal government will have to tighten its belt by 2.4% ACROSS THE BOARD!  Except for the so called entitlements.  Your Social Security check will remain the same, Medicare and Medicade and the VA medical benefits won’t be touched.  As I understand it the exceptions will cause the higher percentage number for the DOD and many agencies will see the higher 12 or 13% cuts.  If I am wrong about those numbers, and you have verifiable information I would really like to hear from you.

Why is this a good thing?  We in the Tea Party and many who aren’t have been screaming that we want, indeed, need a smaller federal government.  That is the first effect of the sequester.  Personally I would like to see a new sequester every year for the next fifteen years.  We would then be spending a little less than we take in and could actually pay down the outrageous debt.  A debt that now exceeds our total GNP and that is one definition of bankruptcy.

One of the good results will be the reduction in Janet Napolitano’s American Gestapo aka the DHS.  And that is a very good thing.  Oh, and the Big Bureaucracies will feel the pinch with enforced unpaid time off.  Such a shame.

As the witching hour approaches and the sequester seems to be a sure thing Obama is quoted as saying it’s “dumb” but it’s “not going to be an apocalypse.”  Isn’t this the same guy that has been telling us all week what a disaster this is going to be?  So bad in fact that he was ‘Forced’ to release thousands of illegal alien convicted of crimes back to the streets because they couldn’t afford to keep them in prison with the sequester??  Yeah, that‘s the guy.

On Friday, March 1st, Michigan’s governor, Rick Snyder (R) made the decision to declare a financial emergency in Detroit and to rip the financial decisions out of democrat city officials’ hands. City residents are facing a crushing $14 billion long term debt and a $327 million current budget deficit, according to Fox News.

Nearly three months ago, Detroit City Councilwoman JoAnn Watson pleaded to her fellow council members that President Obama owed the motor city a $200 plus million bacon bailout. The president did not take the bait or the call, while the city continued to plummet further into the morass it had created under liberal democrat leadership. Now the other financial shoe has dropped!

The city has been running their financial budgets on the backs of city residents for decades, while mismanaging funds, and granting big city liberal-backed long term union benefits. Now, the city officials will have to face the harsh truth, that they cannot wring more taxes out of businesses or residents when there is no money to be had.

In fact, if the city’s mayor Dave Bing and council leaders had not worked out an agreement last year to let the city borrow more money, the nearly quarter billion dollar deficit would be close to a billion.

This continuing big city budgetary nightmare is a harbinger on what other large cities across the nation are facing. Other liberal city leaders have also imposed tax policies and overly generous union long-term contract liabilities on their cities as well. The result has left their own city coffers financially crippled.

Just last year the city of Stockton, California had to file for bankruptcy. With its population of 291,707, it became famous for being the largest to do so. Detroit needs to follow suit, and join this infamous club instead of continuing to pursue the finger pointing blame game.
This sad refrain has echoed in the corridors of Detroit’s city hall for years. The democrat public leaders would either blame the state republican legislators or a state republican governor or a republican president for their financial ineptitude.

Well, the truth is finally spilling out of their unbalanced budget books. The liberal leaders of this big city Titanic floating albatross have hit the iceberg of reality. Now the city is sinking and sinking fast.

The city of Detroit is no longer the once enviable capitol of the automotive industry. Instead it has become a rusted out junk yard, where its previous signs of prosperity have withered and become now barren land.

What is to become of the citizens who kept voting these charlatans masquerading as responsible elected officials? Did they unknowingly succumb to a culture of corruption and deceit which wove its web throughout the neighborhoods? Did they accept the leaders who traded in favors to keep the wool pulled over the heads of residents?

For decades, at every chance, the political poverty pimps would go to barber shops and beauty salons and even in churches passing out promises and placing blame at the feet of “The Man.” “The Man; i.e. code word for ‘White Man’ is doing this to you, and that is why you are suffering.” This same inane and ridiculous refrain has been passed down for several generations, until it has become just a tragic utterance, now blessedly falling on deaf ears.

The truth is that these large and small urban financial nightmares have been largely run by minority leaders for decades. There is no “Man” in sight. These black leaders have wheeled and dealt away financial responsibility by paying ever larger union retirement pensions, salaries and bonuses. With each election they falsely promised better times were just around the corner. In reality they were delivering the citizens into an awaiting monetary wasteland.

                        I wrote an article a few days ago in which I appealed to conservative leaders in many fields to come together and form a 3^rd political party to represent those of us not being represented In Congress. http://www.conservativedailynews.com/2013/02/help-wanted-new-generation-of-founding-fathers/   To look at it on the surface one might think I was talking to Republicans and Independents primarily, but they are only a portion of the audience I want to reach.  I am truly perplexed by people who will vote for Democrat candidates when the party stands against everything you say you believe in and value.
