oil (20)

  My Fellow Countrymen and Women,

On this Memorial Day, in honor of our servicemen and women, as well as all of the patriots living and those who have passed on, I ask you to reclaim the Tea Party from corporate control,

I know this post isn't going to be popular, but the truth never is. In an investigative piece by the NY Times in 2010, it was uncovered that a majority of Tea Party funding - especially to Americans for Prosperity and Freedomworks, two front organizations operated by Koch Industries and the Koch brothers, two of the worst environmental criminals on the planet (Koch Industries in located in Kansas). The link to my worldwide blog post is :https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=8221255610134747713#allposts .

Read it, then feel free to comment.

I am a Tea Party patriot that wants corporations to stop controlling the United States, to stop meddling in our constitutional rights, and to pay their fair share of taxes. If you truly want America and your constitutional rights back, you will demand that any money contributed to any conservative organization by David and Charles Koch and any of their foundations will be given back.

When corporations pay their fair share of taxes, stop evading taxes, and act responsibly- jobs are created, the deficit of the nation declines, safety regulations are enforced, banks have more money to loan (that is not being loaned to fund government waste and operations, and the economic cycle created benefits not only the wealthy, but every citizen.

When corporations use political movements like the Tea Party to hide behind, the world laughs at that organization. The Tea Party is being laughed at because they are taking dirty corporate money that is being funneled through political front organizations.

It is time to get big oil out of our government once and for all- and to EVICT the Koch brothers out of the Tea Party movement and separate ourselves from their records and their tainted money.

Only then will the Tea Party and conservative organizations  be taken seriously.

Our Tea Party deserves better than being used as a front organization in an attempt to discard our laws, our constitution, and place a few wealthy individuals in charge of the Tea Party movement.

Your comments are welcome.

Pay Attention to this... Be ready for the vanishing DOLLAR!!!

Michael Snyder
Economic Collapse
May 22, 2014

Russia and China have just signed what is being called “the gas deal of the century”, and the two countries are discussing moving away from the U.S. dollar and using their own currencies to trade with one another.  This has huge implications for the future of the U.S. economy, but the mainstream media in the United States is being strangely quiet about all of this.

Who Needs The United States? Not Russia And China 220514brics

Image: BRICS Leaders (Wiki Commons).

For example, I searched CNN’s website to see if I could find something about this gas deal between Russia and China and I did not find anything.  But I did find links to “top stories” entitled “Celebs who went faux red” and “Adorable kid tugs on Obama’s ear“.  Is it any wonder why the mainstream media is dying?  If a particular story does not fit their agenda, they will simply ignore it.  But the truth is that this new agreement between Russia and China is huge.  It could end up fundamentally changing the global financial system, and not in a way that would be beneficial for the United States.

Russia and China had been negotiating this natural gas deal for ten years, and now it is finally done.  Russia is the largest exporter of natural gas on the entire planet, and China is poised to become the world’s largest economy in just a few years.  This new $400 billion agreement means that these two superpowers could potentially enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship for the next 30 years

Russia reached a $400 billion deal to supply natural gas to China through a new pipeline over 30 years, a milestone in relations between the world’s largest energy producer and the biggest consumer.

President Vladimir Putin is turning to China to bolster Russia’s economy as relations sour with the U.S. and European Union because of the crisis in Ukraine. Today’s accord, signed after more than a decade of talks, will allow state-run gas producer OAO Gazprom (GAZP) to invest $55 billion developing giant gas fields in eastern Siberia and building the pipeline, Putin said.

It’s an “epochal event,” Putin said in Shanghai after the contract was signed. Both countries are satisfied with the price, he said.

Of course countries sell oil and natural gas to each other all the time.  But what makes this deal such a potential problem for the U.S. is the fact that Russia and China are working on cutting the U.S. dollar out of the entire equation.  Just check out the following excerpt from a recent article in a Russian news source

Russia and China are planning to increase the volume of direct payments in mutual trade in their national currencies, according to a joint statement on a new stage of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation signed during high-level talks in Shanghai on Tuesday.

“The sides intend to take new steps to increase the level and expansion of spheres of Russian-Chinese practical cooperation, in particular to establish close cooperation in the financial sphere, including an increase in direct payments in the Russian and Chinese national currencies in trade, investments and loan services,” the statement said.

In my recent article entitled “De-Dollarization: Russia Is On The Verge Of Dealing A Massive Blow To The Petrodollar“, I warned about what could happen if the petrodollar monopoly ends.  In the United States, our current standard of living is extremely dependent on the rest of the world continuing to use our currency to trade with one another.  If Russia starts selling natural gas to China without the U.S. dollar being involved, that would be a monumental blow to the petrodollar.  And if other nations started following the lead of Russia and China, that could result in an avalanche from which the petrodollar may never recover.

And it isn’t just the national governments of Russia and China that are discussing moving away from the U.S. dollar.  For example, the second largest bank in Russia just signed a deal with the Bank of China “to pay each other in domestic currencies”

VTB, Russia’s second biggest lender, has signed a deal with Bank of China, which includes an agreement to pay each other in domestic currencies.

“Under the agreement, the banks plan to develop their partnership in a number of areas, including cooperation on ruble and renminbi settlements, investment banking, inter-bank lending, trade finance and capital-markets transactions,” says the official VTB statement.

The deal underlines VTB Group’s growing interest in Asian markets and will help grow trade between Russia and China that are already close trading partners, said VTB Bank Management Board Vasily Titov.

You can almost feel the power of the U.S. dollar fading.

A few months ago, when I wrote about how China had announced that it no longer planned to stockpile more U.S. dollars, I speculated that it may be evidence that China planned to start making a big move away from the U.S. dollar.

Well, now China’s intentions have become even more clear.

The Chinese do not plan to allow the United States to indefinitely dominate the globe financially.  In the long run, the Chinese plan to be the ones calling the shots, and that means that the power of the U.S. dollar must decline.

These days, instead of piling up mountains of U.S. currency, China has started accumulating hard assets instead.  In the past, I have written about how China is rapidly stockpiling gold, and it turns out that the Chinese have also been very busy stockpiling oil as well

China is stockpiling oil for its strategic petroleum reserve at a record pace, intervening on a scale large enough to send a powerful pulse through the world crude market.

The move comes as tensions mount in the South China Sea and the West prepares possible oil sanctions against Russia over the crisis in eastern Ukraine. Analysts believe China is quietly building up buffers against a possible spike in oil prices or disruptions in supply.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its latest monthly report that China imported 6.81m barrels per day (bpd) in April, an all-time high.

Once upon a time, China was extremely dependent on the United States economically.  The same was true with most of the rest of the world.

But now economic power has shifted so dramatically that nations such as Russia and China are realizing that they don’t really need to be dependent on the United States any longer.

And with each passing year, the relationship between Russia and China is becoming stronger.  As Pepe Escobar recently observed, this emerging alliance is causing quite a bit of consternation in Washington…

And no wonder Washington is anxious. That alliance is already a done deal in a variety of ways: through the BRICS group of emerging powers (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa); at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Asian counterweight to NATO; inside the G20; and via the 120-member-nation Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Trade and commerce are just part of the future bargain. Synergies in the development of new military technologies beckon as well. After Russia’s Star Wars-style, ultra-sophisticated S-500 air defense anti-missile system comes online in 2018, Beijing is sure to want a version of it. Meanwhile, Russia is about to sell dozens of state-of-the-art Sukhoi Su-35 jet fighters to the Chinese as Beijing and Moscow move to seal an aviation-industrial partnership.

Meanwhile, the relationship that the U.S. has with both nations is quickly going sour.  The crisis in Ukraine has caused relations with Russia to drop to the lowest point since the end of the Cold War, and now China is deeply offended by charges that Chinese military officers have been involved in cyberspying on the United States

China on Tuesday warned the United States was jeopardizing military ties by charging five Chinese officers with cyberspying and tried to turn the tables on Washington by calling it “the biggest attacker of China’s cyberspace.”

China announced it was suspending cooperation with the United States in a joint cybersecurity task force over Monday’s charges that officers stole trade secrets from major American companies. The Foreign Ministry demanded Washington withdraw the indictment.

The testy exchange marked an escalation in tensions over U.S. complaints that China’s military uses its cyber warfare skills to steal foreign trade secrets to help the country’s vast state-owned industrial sector.

The divide between the East and the West is growing.

But the Obama administration has not figured out that we need the East more than they need us.

Right now, the number one U.S. export is U.S. dollars.  Our massively inflated standard of living is very heavily dependent on the rest of the world using our currency to trade with one another and lending it to us at super low interest rates.

If the rest of the world quits playing our game, our debt-based financial system will quickly fall apart.

Unfortunately, nobody in the Obama administration seems to have much understanding of global economics, and they will probably continue to antagonize Russia and China.

In the end, the consequences for antagonizing them could end up being far greater than any of us ever imagined.

The next time you hear some politician or talking head on TV start spouting about the oil industy's "obscene profits" maybe you'll think of government's "OBSCENE TAX PROFITS" on every gallon of fuel!

Amazing isn't it how no reporter ever follows up on these facts. Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, and others can scream about obscene profits. The oil companies "profit" is about 4 cents per gallon while government gets approximately 50 cents per gallon!

You want relief at the pump? How about demanding that all levels of government stop taxing commodities that are necessities? Medicines, food, clothes, FUEL, etc. It won't happen because the government's profits are hidden in the price and not added on at the sale. This is only one of their many dirty secrets they use to rob us.

What is the United States national gas tax rate?
The United States federal excise tax on gasoline is 18.4 cents per gallon (cpg) and 24.4 cents per gallon (cpg) for diesel fuel. On average, as of April 2012, state and local taxes add 31.1 cents to gasoline and 30.2 cents to diesel for a total US average fuel tax of 49.5 cents (cpg) per gallon for gas and 54.6 cents per gallon (cpg) for diesel.

What are the specific taxes for each state?
Some states charge an excise tax while other states have a flat tax. The below table displays state taxes plus fees, plus the 18.4 cents-per-gallon (cpg) federal excise tax. Additionally, some local counties may additionally charge an excise tax on gas, which is not reflected in this table. Please consult your specific local government for more information.

What do the state and local governments generate in fuel taxes?

You’ve heard of “Honest Abe” and “Gorgeous George” – let’s introduce you to “Sly Steven” Chu, American Energy Secretary.  And while we’re at it, move over Solyndra, Chevy Volt and Ener1, Inc., according to documents uncovered by the House Oversight Committee it appears Arizona-based Obama-supporting business leaders of First Solar, Incorporated received at least $3.1 billion of its total of $4.5 billion in loan guarantees based largely upon “adjustments” made to First Solar’s loan application by Energy Secretary Steven Chu’s personnel suggesting falsification of documents and/or corner-cutting by the Energy Dept. itself was required to get the loans approved.  According to an ABC News story, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (a Republican from California) accused the Department of Energy of “manipulating analysis, ignoring objections from career professional scientists and business people and strategically modifying” loan evaluations in order to “force project funding out the door.”   The Energy Dept. vehemently denied the charges, “The Department backed loans for two innovative solar projects that will support hundreds of jobs and provide clean power to tens of thousands of homes,” according to spokesman Damien LaVera.

The roughly 3,250 permanent green energy jobs created in three-plus years across the whole nation by the Obama administration’s green-tech emphasis has thus far cost taxpayers $38 billion or more than $1.15 million for each permanent job, 90% of which pay less than $15/hr.

Energy officials insisted to ABC News that the department followed a rigorous process to evaluate each applicant, and the two projects being scrutinized by Issa's committee are some of the most exciting solar ventures underway in the United States. If successful, the massive generating facilities would be by far the largest of their kind in the world -- comprised of more than five million solar panels and 35,000 metric tons of steel.  Note the confusion between newness and excitement and solid business decision-making.  Meanwhile Issa and his committee say they sifted through tens of thousands of pages of internal records turned over by the Energy Department in response to their requests.  The granting of multiple loans to First Solar, a solar energy giant based in Arizona to create Agua Caliente in Arizona and the Antelope Valley Solar Ranch in California and then turn these facilities over to utility companies is unusual (First Solar also received a separate $1.5 billion loan).  The standard for the loans was not “viability” and not “potential profit” but rather merely providing evidence that the projects “would employ new and innovative technologies to generate energy.”  It appears that Energy Dept. officials “adjusted” First Solar loan documentation to fulfill this requirement.  It appears that First Solar did not qualify even upon this narrow requirement.  Among the documents the Oversight Committee cites is an email from a top technical expert inside the department, written well before the loans to First Solar were approved, in which the scientist argues one of the supposed advances -- use of a "single axis tracker" -- was actually not new at all.

"Be clear this is not an innovation," wrote Dong K. Kim, the director of the loan program's technical division. "The record will show we did not grade this as an innovation."  Kim also wrote that "someone keeps changing" internal documents to hold out the tracking technology as innovative. And he warns that "whoever continues to make this change needs to understand that Technical does not support” emphasis of the trackers as an actual innovative component the Energy Department itself has identified their use in over 200 units in Europe, according to the internal documents.

"These facts make clear DOE substantively failed to fund innovation, and instead gambled with $3 billion taxpayer dollars on a single firm, First Solar," said Becca Watkins, an oversight committee spokeswoman.  Meanwhile despite the positive spin put upon matters by company officials, First Solar is not proving profitable and only the huge government loans so far have kept the company afloat.  .

First Solar, Inc. officials say they are forecasting more than $3 billion in revenue this year (revenue, NOT profits, you’ll notice) but acknowledged the company has suffered along with the rest of the solar industry. The company's stock has been sliding, and has become a favorite for so-called stock market "short sellers" -- investors who are betting on the company to fail.  While this Solyndra story might serve as a case-study in venture-socialism, this January’s failure of once highly respected Ener1, Inc., a huge maker of automobile batteries intended for green vehicles, provides a much more significant cautionary note.  Ener1’s financial collapse appears to have occurred NOT because their product is lacking in technological merit, but rather because there is no market for the recipient’s of Ener1’s batteries:  ultra-expensive, low-performance green autos.

In related news and relevant background:  Energy Sec. Chu, of course, who has come under attack for a long and repeated history of advocating letting American gasoline prices rise to European levels, last week on Capitol Hill, Chu said he “no longer” believes that way; President Obama, for his part has embarked upon a nationwide “gas-price-apology tour” aimed at denying any and all responsibility for gasoline price rises of $2/gallon (national average $1.83 in January, 2009; $3.85 today) and rising since he took office.  And even though the mainstream media won’t hold you accountable for it, you and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar were informed three weeks prior to the BP Gulf spill that big problems were in the works at the Deepwater Horizon site and were still ready to present BP with a national safety award . . . and then POUNCE!  Your opportunity came with the BP oil spill and you shut down drilling EVERYWHERE and put into effect a shameless foot-dragging policy of grudging approvals where you had no choice.

When I was a college student, one of the psychological principles I learned about was called “word magic.”   No, I’m not referring to the two magic words “Please” and “Thanks,” but rather to the childish use of words and labels (positive and negative) to seek to affect and change the world to our liking rather than dealing with it (the world) in a more adult fashion.  Mr. Obama used word magic in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle in 2008 which was never run (it’s still on the paper’s website and now found all over the internet, however) by the Chronicle or any other mainstream media (MSM) in which he pledged to “bankrupt the coal industry” and bragged that “under my environmental policies and cap and trade, electricity prices will necessarily skyrocket.”  Mr. Obama seems to believe that merely by saying “green energy” his words will create a viable reality.  Sorry, Mr. President but algae won’t make my car run presumably anytime in the next couple centuries.  The two top green energies are hydro-electric power and wood-burning just as they were back in 1940.  Wood-burning, of course, is renewable and not particularly clean . . . nevertheless, wood-burning provides 2.5% of America’s energy which is more than solar, wind, geothermal, and cold fusion combined.  Face the facts; you’re saying that oil is the “energy of the past” doesn’t make it true.  And your equating drilling to create lower gasoline prices with “snake oil” is a monstrous lie.  The only ones selling snake oil to the public is you, Barack Obama, and your progressive sycophants.

Green Fraud Perpetrated by

Deliberate Media “Worship”

Names changed to protect the innocent from overzealous secret service.

“Julia” in Longmont, Colorado took advantage of being laid-off from her green job of fifteen months to visit relatives near Bremerton, Washington recently.  Today she described a neighborhood get-together and a heated energy discussion that took place during her last day of visiting.   Washingtonians are funding losses of a totally green (wind- and hydroelectric-power) power company often banned from creating free hydro-electric power because release of the required water force might bother spawning salmon.  In other words, “too much energy” is available and ultimately forbidden.  Adding insult to injury, the price of gas in the state has risen 60 cents in six weeks also.

President Obama’s repeated press statements about “his” “all-of-the-above energy policy” caused “Bill,” lifelong friend of “Julia’s” brother “Sam” to say, “If that S.O.B. dropped dead in five minutes, I wouldn’t shed one tear.”  What made Bill’s expletive memorable for Julia?  Bill is a life-long Democrat; like her, an environmentalist; lost his oil platform job near Alabama; and Bill is an Afro-American who voted for Obama in 2008.  “Bill’s’ father added, “someone ought to assassinate that M_____-F_____”  all things considered, not a surprising conclusion from a senior citizen suffering from Alzheimers Disease.

Is Obama evil?  Perhaps, certainly he’s a liar and charlatan:  the name of “his” all-of-the-above energy policy was stolen from the Republicans and implies that he’s really trying to solve the nation’s energy issues.  But Obama’s solution is consistently “my way, off the highway” green technology that actually doesn’t yet exist.   He’s preventing drilling in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico and his statement that more oil is being drilled now then ever before is dubious because while there is far more drilling on private land courtesy of GW Bush and Indian Tribes in the Dakotas, on the one hand, drilling on federal lands on the other hand has decreased dramatically under Obama.  His Energy Secretary Chu has repeatedly said we must raise gasoline prices to European levels (roughly twice what Americans pay) “to ease demand.”

Chu’s idiocy goes consistently unchallenged by the liberal press, of course.  Even more UNprofessionally, these so-called “honorable journalists” have had five years to vett Barack Obama and consistently gone out of their way to protect him instead:  to the utter detriment of the American economy and Constitution.   Exhibit A:  the mainstream media still refuses to cover Obama’s 2008 interview (on the San Francisco Chronicle website, but the story never ran, and elsewhere on the web) in which he literally bragged about creating cap and trade  and other policies to “bankrupt the coal industry” and “necessarily requiring electricity prices to skyrocket.”    Think about that, without a viable alternative Obama wants to bankrupt the providers of 47% of America’s electricity, what a frigging genius!

Here is the simple obvious reality: science is discovered and developed, not mandated by government force (taxes and Solyndra-like subsidies).  So far, the only green-technology that works is hydroelectric power.   Beyond hydroelectricity, as far as the viability of solar-, wind-, wave-, geothermal-, etc. power . . . get this:  right now wood-burning heat and energy’s 2.5% contribution to the nation’s energy bank outdoes all those other highly-ballyhooed sources put together.  In short, except for replaceable wood-burning and hydroelectricity . . . the fact is that viable green technology might never exist.  Mr. President, you’re destroying this country on pie-in-the-sky-bye-and-bye dreams and killing the future and the American dream.

Oil Drilling Ban: The Destruction of America

I thought this was worth re-posting from my blog in light of Obama and the democrats' decision to delay, and attempting to end, the Keystone pipeline. This country has thousands of miles of pipelines through which we pass various types of oils and chemicals with almost no major problems. It has to be obvious to the American people at this point that the left in this country want to make us dependent on what they believe to be poorer nations. Obama and the left are using oil to redistribute wealth to the poorer countries. Through this process they are destroying this country. Too often we are reminded how the USA uses 25% of the world energy resources. Those people are ashamed to be prosperous Americans, all the while reveling in the technological advancements that this country produced.

originally posted December 2, 2010

Today President Obama announced through the Secretary of the Interior that he has placed a seven year moratorium on new drilling in the eastern gulf, as well as a five year ban on Atlantic drilling. After the BP platform accident Obama placed a six months moratorium on gulf drilling.

Those on the right have been telling us from the beginning that the ban on drilling was never lifted. We had the leftwing media telling us the gulf ban only applied to deep water drilling. We know now that we were right and that the lame stream media was lying to the people. The ban after the BP accident applied to all new drilling and was never lifted.

We are at a time when every politician and individual in the country is calling for energy independence, yet we have a government that is banning oil drilling. The federal government recently took control of millions of acres of land in Utah and Alaska that could have been set aside for new sources of oil, while at the same time we import oil from our enemies at record rates. This is the same government that sent $3 billion to Petrobas to help explore drilling off the coast of Brazil. Do I need to mention that George Soros owns 3 percent of the mostly state owned Petrobras? Petrobras is the lone operator of all oil fields in Brazil.

This is just more evidence this president wants to see this country fail, while pushing his green agenda. With less oil and coal being produced, this puts companies like GE in control with their green energy projects. GE just happens to be a large supporter of Obama and the democrats, as well as owner of NBC, MSNBC, and a host of other cable channels. We are now exporting record tonnages of coal to China so they can make cheap products that put US manufacturers out of business. The left has deemed coal and oil bad and is forcing the reduction of its use in the USA. While we reduce the usage of oil and coal, China increases theirs.

There is no logic to this madness unless you are willing to accept that Obama and others on the left are willfully destroying this country. I ask; will the sheep that accept being groped and photographed naked in airports accept rolling blackouts? Honestly, I think they will. I believe most of the American people are so hypnotized by the things they see and hear on television that they will fall for anything. The fight to end this madness is left to us few free thinkers

4063377894?profile=originalOne of the most challenging duties I have as an American citizen is to sit through a Barak Obama speech. But do my duty, I will, and I did so last Thursday evening.  Sort of.  First of all, the conventional wisdom that Obama is eloquent is false. He is not eloquent, he is not a master of communication, he is not as intelligent as we are told to believe. But he is clever, and he has a snake-pit of clever advisors behind him.  Obama’s September 8 speech is simply a political set up for him to run against a “do-nothing” Congress in 2012. Clever, yes.  More clever than the American people? No.

The content of Thursday’s speech was a rehash of former “stimulus” speeches. His “American Jobs Bill” is just another infusion of tax-payer dollars into the ether of his command economy. If he has his way another $400 billion will waft into the netherworld of socialist failure, just like the previous $3.27 trillion from previous stimulus packages.  There is nothing in his AJB that would create a single lasting job.  It is an attempt to pander to large swaths of his supporters, like teachers unions, government sector unions, the Teamsters and the AFL-CIO, who would all benefit directly or indirectly from his plan.

Obama pandered to small businesses as well with talk about a “payroll tax cut.” But  it is corporate taxes, capital gains taxes, and  personal income taxes on the small business owners who make over $200 K per year and declare their business income on their personal returns, that are killing jobs. Obama did not address those, but instead promised again to raise taxes on “those Americans who can afford to pay more.”  In his mind that includes all of those small businesses and their owners who we know are not “millionaires and billionaires” but are ordinary Americans, struggling, cutting corners, pinching pennies, and fighting the federal government at every turn just to save the jobs they have created for their employees.  As usual, Obama’s plan will kill more private sector jobs in exchange for a small rebate to households that will go to pay down debt and will have no lasting impact on the economy. He will fortify the unions, they will grow in power, and in the end, the government will be bigger, and the individual much smaller. Corporations will continue to outsource to other countries because the costs of production are impossibly large.  And small businesses will continue to shutter their doors as the specter of Obamacare looms ever closer.

One  of the most ironic aspects of Obama’s duplicity is his avoidance of the most obvious and immediate answers to our failing economy.  As a resident of Western Colorado I know that in my region of this vast country, there lies underground enough natural gas and oil resources to fuel our nation and our economy for decades, if not centuries.  Obama’s pet agencies like the EPA and DOE have essentially corked the potential for energy exploration and development in the West.  If he were to ease the regulations, tell Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to take a long vacation to Fiji, and simply open the door for Americans to take advantage of the vast energy resources underneath our feet, the economy would receive the defibrillation it needs to get pumping again.  Thousands of private sector jobs would be created, and dependence on foreign energy would be dramatically decreased.

The American people will not fall for the “run against a do-nothing congress” ploy. The president can’t stay disengaged and ineffective for another 15 months. The economy cannot bear the strain of further taxation, regulation, and statist manipulations of the free market.  If Obama was sincere he would do the following.

  • Open energy-rich regions of the United States to exploration and development
  • Slash corporate and capital gains taxes and close loop holes for his crony corporate buddies like GE
  • Cut taxes on the upper 8% of income earners, most of whom are small business owners
  • Ask congress to immediately repeal Obamacare
  • Offer  American corporations who are outsourcing or have moved overseas tax incentives to stay in country
  • Decrease the collective bargaining power of public sector unions at the federal level
  • Revisit the budget deal and adopt the Paul Ryan plan to address entitlement reform

But we know Obama is not serious about saving our economy or our standing of economic and military superiority.  He will continue to point the finger of blame, play the race card, and toy with the free markets of the greatest country the world has ever known, until he begins the longest vacation of his life in 2013.

This is a recent article from The Energy Tribune. The numbers are based on a new report from the Congressional Research Service (CRS). There are graphs and charts available at the link that did not transfer over which show the numbers more dramatically. By the way, the shale oil deposits that are not included in the numbers in this article are estimated to be over 800 Billion barrels, that is per the U.S. Department of Natural Resources.

U.S. Has Earth’s Largest Energy Resources

Posted on Mar. 24, 2011

In case anyone missed it, let me repeat something that is of a magnitude of 10 on the scale of news-quakes for Joe Public USA: America’s combined energy resources are, according to a new report from the Congressional Research Service (CSR), the largest on earth. They eclipse Saudi Arabia (3rd), China (4th) and Canada (6th) combined – and that’s without including America’s shale oil deposits and, in the future, the potentially astronomic impact of methane hydrates.

The energy facts in the CRS report should be making front page news all over America. Mostly it isn’t. Given the devastating news from Japan and New Zealand, it may be right to postpone dancing in the streets. But something else is going on. Even though they are going to dominate global energy supply for decades to come the insidious war on vital fossil fuels continues apace.

Thus it perhaps falls to a friend of the US (i.e. me) to state that if the White House is in any way serious about impacting the economic Black H*** that is the burgeoning national debt, reinvigorating business big-time, creating real jobs and restoring ebbing national wealth, the best shot by a distance if you’re American ... well, you’re standing on it, or rather above it.

While love, spiritually speaking and in fiction, may make the world go around, it is energy – and mostly hydrocarbon energy – that actually drives it. As blockbuster thrillers sometimes put it, “Who will tell the President?”

Political pantomime

From over here, the lack of a comprehensive US energy policy and the incoherence of President Obama’s political take on energy, reminds me of a pantomime I saw last Christmas, Aladdin. The cave is full of energy riches, but ‘Emperor’ Obama – or is it Wishy-Washy? –refuses to allow the words “open sesame” to be spoken.

Senator Lisa Murkowski, Ranking Member of the Senate Energy and National Resources Committee, takes up the theme: “As we debate ways to reduce gas prices and provide relief to American families and businesses, this report should be required reading for every member of Congress.” How about for every American citizen too, Senator? Murkowski adds, “For the sake of our national security, our economy, and the world’s environment, we need to explore and develop more of our own resources.”

“The Obama administration has made a conscious policy choice to raise energy prices, accomplished in good measure by restricting access to domestic energy supplies.” So says Senator James Inhofe, a Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. He adds forthrightly, “We could help bring affordable energy to consumers, create new jobs, and grow the economy if the Obama administration would simply get out of the way so America can realize its true energy potential.”

Wow, heavy stuff. But then there’s much to be ‘heavy’ about.

While the US is often depicted as having only a tiny minority of the world’s oil reserves at around 28 billion barrels (based on the somewhat misleading figure of ‘proven reserves’) according to the CRS in reality it has around 163 billion barrels. As Inhofe’s EPW press release comments, “That’s enough oil to maintain America’s current rates of production and replace imports from the Persian Gulf for more than 50 years”. Next up, there’s coal. The CRS report reveals America’s reserves of coal are unsurpassed, accounting for over 28 percent of the world’s coal. Much of it is high quality too. The CRS estimates US recoverable coal reserves at around 262 billion tons (not including further massive, difficult to access, Alaskan reserves). Given the US consumes around 1.2 billion tons a year, that’s a couple of centuries of coal use, at least.

In 2009 the CRS upped its 2006 estimate of America’s enormous natural gas deposits by 25 percent to around 2,047 trillion cubic feet, a conservative figure given the expanding shale gas revolution. At current rates of use that’s enough for around 100 years. Then there is still the, as yet largely publicly untold, story of methane hydrates to consider, a resource which the CRS reports alludes to as “immense...possibly exceeding the combined energy content of all other known fossil fuels.” According to the Inhofe’s EPW, “For perspective, if just 3 percent of this resource can be commercialized ... at current rates of consumption, that level of supply would be enough to provide America’s natural gas for more than 400 years.”

See what I mean about an Aladdin’s Cave of untapped energy? Could America.........

Note: Don't use the term piracy Obama for non commercial file sharing of copyrighted files because that is a misuse of legal terms. Piracyis when you rob boats and non commercial file sharing is when peopleshare files to one another. Is that simple for you Bushama?

This is what I support politically about non commercial file sharing:

  1. I support the legalization of non commercial file sharing
  2. I support the end of Product Activation or legal rights to use activation workarounds for those that legally purchased the softwareand/or operating systems
  3. I support The Pirate Bay and other BitTorrent sites that are going against the corporate monopoly the RIAA and MPAA has over the musicindustry and movies.
  4. I also support that companies need to treat their paying customers with more respect and stop forcing them to get permission to usesoftware they already paid for. Just do something such as if it'spirated then no tech support then that will force those that need helpfrom the company to legally purchase the software and get tech supportand thats money worth spending.
  5. I will never purchase anything from Microsoft again until they remove Product Activation from all of their products, and Linux couldsound nice.
  6. I will never purchase any product that has product activation or forced Internet access install. When I pay for software I expect I willbe able to keep using it until it becomes totally obsolete. I will onlyuse operating systems without product activation.
  7. I also support that older versions of Windows should be released under Public Domain such as DOS, Windows 3.1, and Windows 95.
  8. I also will support the artists I enjoy listening to but I won't ever purchase music with digital protections on it because it violatesmy rights to reverse the audio data (Heck it could have subliminalmessaging which is illegal for advertisers) and it will violate myrights to put music I pay for on CD Players.

It made me feel as though Obama doesn't care about the oil spill victims when Barack Obama was setting a plan just like George W. Bushto crackdownon piracy which means more control of our own private lives. I amfor The Pirate Bay staying afloat and I am also for a File sharingsupporting political Party which thinks non commercial digitaldownloading and sharing should be allowed and totally legal and thatcommercial piracy and bootlegging should be punished under law.

Even if I dislike Michael Moore and his socialist views I do agree that sharing should be allowed as long as you don't make a profit out ofit and if The RIAA is losing money it has nothing to do with filesharing. The true reason the RIAA and MPAA is dying is because they keepforcing people to pay for the same movies and music in differentformats such as video tape (Tape cassette), then DVD (CD), then blu ray(WMA DRM), and then whats next. The economy is in bad shape and we justhad a oil spill and now all of the sudden Barack Obama has the nerveto say lets crackdown on piracy. Right now file sharing is not whatObama should be foscusing on right now he should be focusing every dayon the Oil Spill till it's disappeared.

I support The Pirate Bay now why? Because you have more freedom, independent (aka Indie) artists can finally havea network to publish their creations on, and a lot of times anymorewhen you legally pay for software you cannot use it without someforeign telephone assistants permission (Darn I hate calling into thoseand foreign tech supports suck most of the time and don't understandmuch of what you are saying and they make us get permission to usesoftware with these people). I think Activation workarounds should belegal because Activation is a pain for those that legally purchased acopy of any software or operating system plus their tech supportdoesn't care about you purchasing their software. The fact of thematter is once your treated like a criminal you have to repurchaseanother copy of the software and/or operating system. That is why Ithink activation workarounds should be legal and non commercial sharingshould also be legal is because if people like the software and canafford it they will buy the software but if they cannot afford it theyshouldn't be forced to pay hundreds of dollars. Also for those who havepaid for software I don't want to call in to Microsoft or any company,I just want to use the software and/or operating system because I paidfor it and they don't do this for Laptops that have preinstalledsystems, and they don't do this for TVs when we buy it they don't makeus activate our TV Sets.

Can you imagine being forced to activate your Music CD? Could you imagine being forced to get permission from the government anytime youput music on your MP3 Player?

As long as people don't make money off of software and operating system sharing I think it is OK and not a crime. If we start makingsharing copyright contents a crime it may even land poltical activistsin jail as well because some show news videos from corporate mediaoutlets and others may show parts of a documentary and if a crackdown onpiracy happens then this can also lead to political prisoners, activists being arrested for showing copyrighted content to make apoint. I know that's under Fair Use but even those exceptions havelimitations and the Obama Administration will look for loopholes toarrest activists and take away their fair use exception.

So Mr. Obama will you stop doing the same thing Bush did? Will you stop blaming non commercial file sharing and activation workarounds forthe economy and start trying to fix America like you promised when youwere a Candidate and drive out the illegal immigrants? Obama will youstart repealing NAFTA trade agreement and put a stop to GAT? Of courseyou won't you rather go after innocent customers who has decided theyrather find a way to avoid activating their copies then activate thembecause activation is annoying and makes the product you pay for totallyworthless and many advocates against Product Activation agree.

Micirosoft why don't you just stop product activation then maybe piracy will crackdown by itself!

I support the pirate bay and will add them to my list of links because they have helped the Indie community and made people more freesince they can work around product activation people can be more freeand not a slave to Microsoft and other companies strict licensingnightmares.

Sharing is caring

I Support The Pirate bay

According to Margaret Thatcher, “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.” According to Barack Obama’s words and actions, there has NEVER been a single problem with socialism or with “scientific socialism inter alia ‘communism.’” Why else would he continue to use Spain as the poster-boy for all the great things he wants to bring us courtesy of his “Great Economy” and violate standing laws to deny real creditors the money due them and instead divert that money into stock ownership to his auto workers union** friends? However, while Barack Obama was putting on his make-up prior to his Oval Office oil spill speech, the Spanish government was telling Spaniards “Oooops, we made a mistake and now we have to undo it.” The brief history is this:

Candidate Obama promised to create five million green jobs in his first term and move the United States “boldly toward” a booming new economy. President Obama has since repeatedly mentioned that goal and repeatedly put Spain out there as his model for America.

Spain, in 1997 was indeed the poster-child for European economic soundness with a booming economy and a miniscule 3% joblessness.

Spain along with Denmark and a few other governments began a shift to a “green economy” by instituting subsidies for environmentally-friendly businesses. They originally expected that roughly $125, 000 could fund the creation of any typical green job. There was an expectancy that these green jobs would be permanent and create a more environmentally-friendly and sustainable economy.

Spain today is almost as bad off as bankrupt Greece is. Last year unemployment reached 17.8%, today it sits at nearly 21%. A Spanish economist finished his study of the green disaster last year and released the results to the world . . . more on this later . . . but in the face of a further collapse in the Euro and a worsening overall Spanish national economy initiating even higher interest rates necessary to sell Spanish bonds and (most Greece like of all) as Spanish unions are calling for a general strike, of the seven endangered European economies, Spain is only marginally better off than the bankrupt Greeks.

Last night, during his speech, Barack Obama again praised Spanish efforts and brought up his promise to create green jobs (as well as the America-killing cap and trade legislation he’s pushing). You’d think that Spain’s green efforts were an unmitigated success, eh?

Yesterday, the Spanish government let it be known that now after a dozen years, they'd begin looking at de-subsidizing green jobs. What that means isn't exactly clear. Removing 10% of the taxpayer backing? Removing 50%? Removing 90%. Let's see what percentage of the new green jobs subsidized every year will now be funded . . . and, under these new circumstances what percentage of green jobs will actually prove permanent. Less than 5%? Less than 2%?

All Obama's words came despite the forenamed Spanish economic study which shows that a) each green job in Spain required a $675,000 subsidy b) the taxes required to create each new green job cost the loss of 2.2 real jobs in the real Spanish economy c) the average green job lasted less than 18 months d) only 10% of the green jobs proved permanent e) the average pay amounted to $10-$14 per hour only, and most importantly f) based upon the very Spanish model Obama’s praising, it’s probable his promised five-million new green-tech jobs would cost eleven-million real jobs and only 500,000 of these green jobs would prove permanent . . . a 22/1 ratio of lost real jobs compared to permanent green jobs created.

For any half-way thinking American, the president’s logic, or lack thereof, amounts to a whole lot to swallow . . . It remains to be seen if so many Americans will once again allow themselves to be taken in by our president. At least 60 lies issued from his facile lips during his first Oval Office staging, but five of these lies are so serious and so obvious that it’s a wonder that a huge collective “Bull-shi-!” did not roar across the nation when those false words escaped his lips, to wit:

1. “We’re running out of places to drill for oil."

2. “We’ve been on top of this since Day One."

3. The unspoken lie: “Bush is responsible for this problem too,” was hinted at in a slightly veiled manner as he talked about the failures of MMS.

4. Mr. Obama talked about converting to “a profitable new green industry” leading the way to future American prosperity.

5. And the illogical conclusion, “This proves we must institute ‘cap and trade’ legislation and green jobs at a cost of TRillions” (that’s right Cap and Trade is a $10 TRillion tax applied to the economy according to Obama associate Richard Sandor president of the Chicago Climate Exchange,CCX, a monstrous conflict of interest that he and Gore and Obama are part of); and the earlier mentioned Spanish green-economy disaster.

Let us now take on the five greatest of Obama’s sixty lies . . . first of all we are NOT running out of oil or lacking places to drill for oil. The environmental fringe has prevented us from building any new refineries here since 1974. The environmental fringe has made it difficult if not impossible to drill on land in this country or for safer shallower offshore wells. And most importantly we now have discovered the largest oil reserve in the world far bigger than the entire Middle East: the Baaken Field . . .

http://paguntaka.org/2008/04/29/north-dakotas-mineral-resource-leader-gives-estimate-of-oil-in-bakken-formation/

unfortunately, only the Indian tribes owning land above the Baaken oil reserves are allowed to drill there.

Secondly, Obama and his administration have actually been dithering since Day One and have NOT been “on top of it.” If they had been, the easily predictable effect offshore, on the beaches, in the marshes and on the fishing and tourist industry would presumably have been met by an incisive federal effort to combat the spill’s effect starting about Day Ten and Mr. Obama would have made last night’s speech about Day Seven.

Thirdly, Mr. Bush has been out of office for almost seventeen months now. Mr. Obama promised to clean up the mess in D. C. as well as the mess in our economy and has not done either, but instead has resorted to blaming Bush for his own failures since Inauguration Day. This economy and this administration are Mr. Obama’s NOW and it's time for the buck to actually stop with him.

Fourth, his monstrous lie, he called green-tech jobs “profitable.” If they were profitable, we would have a major green industry in this country and we do not. If these green jobs were profitable, there would be no problem with oil and it’s emissions. Mr. Obama believes that an edict by him from Washington is all it takes and then POOF! the scientific breakthrough needed will appear overnight magically and then . . . yes, then green jobs will be profitable.

And lastly, Cap and Trade is a conflict of interest that will enrich Mr. Obama, Mr. Gore, about twenty of their key cronies and ten well-known progressive foundations while crippling the American economy to the tune of $10 TRillion each and every year. And both Cap and Trade and “green jobs” are based on the fringe environmental lie that man-caused greenhouse gasses are creating dangerous global warming. That lie was shown by the ultra-liberal London Times to be an absolute fraud:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/article6936289.ece

Clearly, Obama has a lot of blue-sky in mind for all Americans. For a supposedly intelligent fellow, Mr. Obama (and his progressives) do an awful lot of “thinking” with their emotions. “If I want it, it must happen – let there be light!” is not the basis for a logical energy policy.

Mr. Obama, either really does NOT care about Americans and the American economy; or he believes in word-magic . . . the certainty that his merely saying something is so, makes it so. He owns an administration of lawyers and left-wing radicals and neither he nor any single member of his administration has ever produced a useful good or service in their combined lifetime, but he is cocksure that throwing money down the green rat-hole will produce a viable alternative energy economy capable of sustaining 140 million jobs and adding at least 3 million new jobs every year. Our president is delusional. If George Washington marveling at the antics and electrical discoveries of Benjamin Franklin had insisted upon gambling the economy of 1791 America on creating an “electric power grid” he would have been at least as sane as Barack Obama because if green jobs don’t kill 21st Century America; his Cap and Trade and Green Jobs initiatives surely will.

It’s never a good sign when the leader of the free world seemingly starts substituting crack-cocaine for his two and a half-pack a day cigarette habit. Too harsh a judgment? Listen up, then judge for yourself.

Item One:
As you know, President Obama and his administration have lately bad-mouthed the recently created Arizona immigration law in a cynical attempt to activate the Democratic Party base for this November’s mid-term elections. Well, now the stakes have been raised by the president who seems intent upon showing the world how little he respects the opinion of the common American citizens and common-sense itself. Mr. Obama has turned the White House legal-beagles upon Arizona again. This time the target is Arizona’s anti-illegal alien employer sanctions. Mr. Obama again says Arizona is acting beyond its jurisdiction, illegal immigration in every aspect is 100% a federal responsibility, and ONLY a federal responsibility, according to him and he says his White House attorneys will issue a legal challenge to Arizona. What’s wrong with all that?

Item A: The federal law concerning employers of illegals does say that states CAN control the licensing of such companies. In fact, the applicable law from 1986 forbids the federal government from doing anything at all to employers and puts all possibility of dealing with these companies under state control.

Item B: The Arizona anti-alien employer laws in Arizona are 100% in line with federal laws. To wit: for any firm found guilty of KNOWINGLY hiring undocumented workers a violation in Arizona would result in suspension of the business’s privilege of operating for an unspecified time possibly as little as ten days. A second violation of this law by an employer within three years of the first violation would forbid the company from doing business in Arizona.

Item C: Most surprisingly, the Arizona law has already been challenged and upheld by the single most liberal court in the country. In effect Mr. Obama is calling the Federal Court in San Francisco’s 9th District “too conservative.” Wow!

Item D: Ex- Arizona Governor Napolitano now, the Obama Homeland Security Secretary, was behind the passage of this law which Obama is now calling illegal and ill-advised.

Item Two: Mr. Obama (who himself refuses to respect the Pledge of Allegiance and stand at attention with his hand over his heart during its recital or to recite it himself) and his enthusiastic and violently active followers are sneakily trying to change the wording of the pledge in American minds.

You’ll recall the words in question are “one nation, under God with liberty and justice for all.” Leaving their attack on the word “God” out of things for now . . . the word popping up everywhere that socialists march in the street is “FAIRNESS” and the mantra that is heard in every such demonstration is “fairness and justice.” Apparently Stanley Ann Dunham, Obama’s mother** never told baby Barack that “life isn’t fair.” Rajjpuut would add that inflicting one-person’s or one group’s idea of fairness upon the rest of the people by forced equality, for one example re-distribution of wealth as a policy, is the ultimate threat to LIBERTY. Fairness and equality are the key words in communist and socialist dogma. Only one type of fairness and one type of equality matter: equal justice before the law and due process.

Item Three: Your ears are not deceiving you. President Obama is now choosing to use the oil spill for politics, of course. As part of his renewed attack on the oil industry, he’s talking about stopping or suspending all offshore oil drilling. That will really help the gulf jobs situation, won’t it? More importantly, he’s started heating up for his evil^^ cap and tax bill all over again; and praising Spain and its green-industry and talking about “weaning ourselves of oil-dependence.” Unmentioned by Mr. Obama is that Spain, once the economic poster child for the European Union, had a vibrant economy with only 3% unemployment a few years back. Then Spain instituted a green jobs program and now has 21% unemployment. Each green job cost $677,000. Each green jobs cost taxes that eliminated 2.2 jobs in the real free market economy. The average green job lasted less than six months and only 10% of green jobs proved permanent with an average salary of $13-$14 per hour. So, if Mr. Obama creates the five million green jobs he’s boasting about . . . expect a loss of eleven million real jobs. Expect the average 90% of the green jobs to be temporary only and only 500,000 permanent green jobs to be created . . . in short, expect the ultimate financial Armageddon.

Ya’ll live long, strong and ornery,

Rajjpuut

** How come Americans were NOT told by mainstream media fully investigating his background that Barack Obama was raised in a communist household, by a communist mother and grandfather and his birth-father (subject of Obama’s first autobiography “Dreams from My Father”) was extolling the virtues of 100% taxation and “scientific socialism” a.k.a. communism in Kenya when his son was three years old (http://www.politico.com/static/PPM41_eastafrica.html) and about his Marxist associates?

^^Cap and trade will turn a $15 TRillion economy into a $25 TRillion economy without one new manufactured good or without one new service provided. How? by raising costs 67% for virtually every single item or service in the country. That extra $10 TRillion is aimed right at progressive pockets. Mr. Gore, Mr. Obama, Richard Sandor, Franklin Raines, Joel Rogers, Goldman Sachs, and a good 10-12 progressive foundations and at least a score of other progressive politicians will all be monstrously enriched if and when cap and trade legislation becomes law and their Chicago Climate Exchange becomes obscenely profitable. And, of course, it’s all based upon saying that the carbon dioxide we exhale is dangerous to the planet . . . a proven LIE, as reported by the London Times when they exposed the Climate-Gate data falsification.

Five weeks in, Still No Federal Response
to Prevent or Lessen Oil-Spill Damage to Gulf Shoreline
It must be nice to have a free pass from the liberal-leaning media on everything up to and including shafting a Billy goat on prime-time television . . . but this time, Obama’s carte blanche may not be enough to save his presidency. Obama who earned the epithet “Dithering Barack” for his snail-like, half-hearted responses to requests for an Afghanistan troop surge . . . is up to slow-no-good again, this time on the domestic front in the face of a massive oil spill and a series of crippling tornadoes and ultra-destructive flooding in Tennessee and the Cumberland River Valley.
Item: unable to criticize the ghost of George W. Bush on the oil spill; tornadoes; and Tennessee flooding . . . Barack Obama who had been pouting and sucking his thumb for five weeks now . . . has today finally mobilized the Obama family dog to handle these matters. Relieved environmentalists have declared today’s response a “vast improvement over what we’ve seen these last 36 days.”
Item: 36 days into the tragic Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Barack Obama has shown himself to be a dithering incompetent. He still has NOT called the situation a national emergency and he still has NOT mobilized any federal response to prevent or ameliorate the ecological and economic damage to the Gulf states' coastlines. He has also pointedly NOT shared the truth about federal inspectors and federal agencies giving British Petroleum pass after pass on safety issues.
These same inspectors and agencies had actually been on the verge of awarding BP a top safety award three weeks ago. These same inspectors and agencies deliberately overlooked requiring that ten (10, count ‘em, oops you can’t) mandated fire booms be onsite at the BP disaster site nor at the even deeper, even more prolific Atlantis well (the deepest oil production platform in the world) much further offshore in the Gulf that is still operating unsafely and where it appears BP and the federal Minerals and Management Service again did shoddy work^^. Returning to the present crisis, to be precise, BP had zero, zilch, nada, NONE of the required ten fire booms onsite when the Deepwater Horizon explosion occurred.
The epitome of “maximum statesmanship” from the Obama administration is found in their constant use of the “blame game” and the “race card” in virtually every situation which arises. Perhaps now the mainstream media will stop treating the Obama adminstration as “God walking among us?" The totally unenlightened responses from Salazar, Napolitano and Obama are only 2/3 as shocking as the vile negligence of MMS. Only the U.S. Coast Guard and Louisiana Governor Jindal have shown the requisite calm, competence and clear-headed call for action . . . which of course, Salazar and Obama have ignored.
Item: A series of deadly tornadoes has struck Oklahoma and nearby states in the last two weeks. Obama has NOT mentioned them, nor prepared any federal responses.
Item: If a tree falls in a forest and kills thirty-one people and wipes out all power-sewer-fuel and transportation, destroys viturally all the homes and livelihoods of everybody in an area the size of Pennsylvania . . . but neither the president nor the national mainstream media mention it . . . did it actually happen? Many are wondering why perhaps the largest non-hurricane flood disaster in American history and the worst destruction to hit Tennessee since the Civil War has been essentially ignored by the national media.Nashville is just one small part of the wide-spread flooding that hit the east-central United States. The May 2010 Tennessee floods resulting from torrential rainfal on May 1st and 2nd this year have been labeled "1000-year floods" for Middle and West Tennessee, South Central and Western Kentucky and Northern Mississippi. Two-day rain totals in some areas were greater than 19 inches.
The Cumberland River crested at 51.86 feet in Nashville, so high that the flood control measures instituted by the U.S. Army Corps of engineers to counter future tragedies akin to a 1937 flood which devastated the area that year . . . were virtually worthless. All-time record crests were observed on the Cumberland River Floods from these rains affected the area for several days afterwards, resulting in a number of deaths and widespread property damage. All-time record crests in the affected areas resulted in at least five dozen reporting stations. Perhaps one day the President will comment on this and even, GASP! Respond?
Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,

^^ It isn’t often that Rajjpuut finds the Huffington Post worth quoting:
but this link reveals a deplorable situation. If the Atlantis platform were to suffer a similar fate, the damage from the Deepwater Horizon (already the worst oil spill in America’s history) would be like popping a zit compared to a pressurized and uncontrolled fire hose.

and from their own website it says:

Targeting: The President of the United States
Sponsored by: Sierra Club

The BP Deepwater Horizon drilling-rig disaster is expected to become one ofthe largest oil disasters in North American history. It has claimed thelives of 11 workers and now threatens Gulf coast waters, beaches, wildlife and communities.

We need President Obama to stop all new drilling off America's coasts immediately and permanently. The Gulfcoast will be impacted by this tragedy for years to come and PresidentObama has the power to make sure this never happens again.

Instead of risking our lives, our coasts, our clean air, and our security byperpetuating our addiction to oil, it's time to build a clean energyeconomy that means more jobs, less pollution, and real energyindependence

Sign this petition and tell President Obama stop the expansion of is dirty, dangerous, and deadly offshore oil drilling-- permanently.

Petition Text

We've Had Enough Oil Drilling on Our Coasts

Dear President Obama:

The BP Deepwater Horizon oil-rig disaster is a sad and stark reminder thatoil is a dirty, dangerous, and deadly energy source that has no placein a 21st-century energy economy.

I urge you to engage every resource available to address the immediate cleanup and recovery needsof Gulf Coast residents, businesses, wildlife, and marine life.

I've had enough -- we need a commitment to end all new proposals foroffshore oil drilling and permanently protect our coasts. Instead ofrisking our lives, our coasts, our clean air, and our security byperpetuating our addiction to oil, it's time to build a clean-energyeconomy that means more jobs, less pollution, and real energyindependence.

Censor YouTube Videos!Even if censorship gets people killed!), and a few others but theyappear to just be regular benefactors although if anybody sees thatthey support the establishment and controls tell us at our contact pageon our website USWGO Alternative News.

Also it's funny how the oil explosion just happened, a serviceman said it sounded like a bombwhen it exploded (but I could never find that video again, I wish I hadcopied it), and now as Rahm Emanuel puts it"You can never let a serious crises go to waste!" so now they are usingthis extreme environmental crises with no hope of an end to pollutionterror in sight except to end offshore oil drilling forever right afterBarack H. Obama promised to end this oil crises by doing more offshoredrilling to end our dependence on foreign oil which Obama will probablyfail at.

Now they will use this Oil Rig Explosion and the Oil Rig sinking crises, whether it was created or it was just an accident,to raise gas prices, and end the offshore oil drilling that Obama wastelling people he was going to do.

When I tried to create a petition months ago on Change.org about demanding they reopen the 9/11commission to find out the real truth on 9/11 tghey instantly removedit so I emailed them asking them why with no reply ever. So Change.orgis definitely a pro Obama propaganda scum website because they arewilling to censor 9/11 truthers from demanding the president look intothe real truth about 9/11 but not extremists attacking Sarah Palin'sright to free speech, and they are fine with Barack H. Obama breakinghis promises and instead are longing for a totalitarian socialistmarxist communist dictatorial worldwide regime.

At a recent press conference answering a question about the Gulf oil spill, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs (who said calmly eighteen days ago, “I doubt this is the first such accident and it won’t be the last”) said ex-FEMA official Michael Brown and Fox News on the Neil Cavuto show had accused the Obama administration of deliberately setting the explosion. Of course, both of Gibb’s statements in their entirety and all of the Cavuto interview with Brown are posted on Fox News and no such encounter happened in the entire 5-6 minute interview. Brown, did however, talk about FEMA’s quick response to Katrina and the Coast Guard’s quick response to the BP explosion and commented that both Bush and Obama were a bit slow to move after sterling local action . . . the truth of all that can be seen if you go to FoxNews.com and look over the tape clips. Brown did say, that Obama would definitely use this as an excuse to stop drilling for oil. Gibbs also has talked about “keeping a boot on BP’s throat” just as they want to do to every business in the country. On the other side of the issue in several earlier investigations it appears that sex and drugs and huge campaign donations mark interactions between government and oil companies from time immemorial.

Not only is Chrysler going to be back for another bailout soon . . . but Freddy Mac just today intimated they’ll need more bailout money . . . changing the tune . . . .

Item #3 notice the link above is "green"

The Los Angeles Times and Fox News were the only ones reporting Al Gore’s purchase of a $9 million mansion near Montecito, California linked above with some awesome pictures. Not his main residence, of course, right next to the rising oceans, but just one of his fleet of mansions. You remember when Al Gore was questioned point-blank by Tennessee Representative Marsha Blackburn, “Do you stand to profit in any way from the bill you’re supporting here?” With a straight-face Honest Al said,Every penny that I have made, I have put right into a non-profit deal, Alliance For Climate Protection, to spread awareness of why we have to take on this challenge. And Congresswoman, if your, if, if you believe that the reason I have been working on this issue for 30 years is because of greed, you do not know me.” With a gross net worth of roughly $1 million in 2000 and a fleet of environmentally UNfriendly homes, Al, must be getting big money from somewhere.

Item #4:

Rajjpuut, however, DOES KNOW Honest Al . . . and does know about Al’s and Barack’s little scam called CCX (Chicago Climate Exchange) . . . and does know that the Cap and Trade bill that Gore was supporting would cost ordinary Americans a minimum of $220 Billion every year. More importantly, Al, Barack, Joel Rogers, the illustrious Mr. Sandor, several Goldman Sachs folks, John Ayers, the firm Goldman Sachs in its entirety and Gore’s own London based firm as well as several progressive foundations stand to profit greatly from the “Ten TRillion*** industry” created by cap and trade legislation.

The word “industry” is ill-advised, of course, since the “product” being sold is sheer blue sky . . . that is, literally NOthing is being sold as something and the jovial Joel Rogers is on video-tape saying that the environment would NOT be helped by cap and trade, not a bit. The same Mr. J. Rogers also said on video-tape that IF, by magic they were able to bring the entire U.S. economy to a halt, all power companies, all industry and all transportation -- zero production of pollutants, it would not help clear up the world’s situation very much . . . but that the real purpose of Cap and Trade was wealth redistribution. By the way, Mr. Obama has said several times and been recorded, “. . . under my Cap and Trade system, energy prices would necessarily skyrocket.”

Meanwhile, Joel Rogers, the mastermind, as well as General Electric (owner of the main news media sycophant, NBC, for all wondrous things Barack and green and social justice-correct) and Cisco would be among the huge winners along with the major union players AFLCIO and SEIU and surprisingly Fanny Mae (long story that). Cisco and GE have been pushing Obama’s green-agenda more than anyone else ever since getting in bed with the great man through monstrous campaign donations.

Item #5:

Within twelve days of the November 17, 2009 revelation of scientific hanky-panky, fraud and malpractice at the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at England’s East Anglia University known all over Europe as "Climate-Gate,"even the ultra-liberal London Times raked the climate-alarmists, global-warming extremists and the well-known scientists enabling their lies over the hottest of coals. Of course, five months later, Americans in general are still not broadly aware that they are and have been the subject of a well-manipulated hoax for over fourteen years . . . and who is to blame for all this American ignorance? 'T'is the progressive media which seldom chooses to print stories contrary to the progressive and extremist environmental agenda.

Item #6:

Real patriotism is clearly ostracized by that same media. Any comment against the TEA Party and conservative Americans is broadcast as a matter of course and never or perhaps virtually never is any actual supporting footage or evidence offered. Case in point, NYC Mayor Bloomberg shortly after the discovery of the car-bomb in Times Square said, “it could have been some right-wing extremists who don’t like the new Healthcare law.” Of course, he never apologized and the media never confronted him with updating of his stupid comments when the Pakistani connection was made.

Item #7:

“Feel-better politics” is the game of the day in the wake of the Times Square car bomb incident. We are being repeatedly and frequently told “we thwarted this attack . . .” when talking about the event. NONSENSE! Nothing was “thwarted,” the incompetence of the bomber saved us. The bomb’s “fuse or igniter” went off and failed to ignite and explode the car bomb. At that point, short of some drive-by gangs and random bullets sent into the whole mess, the bomb could NOT have gone off. The fact is simply this: “we got lucky, again.” We got lucky with the underwear bomber also. We did NOT get lucky with the Arkansas Recruiting Office killer; we did NOT get lucky with the Ft. Hood massacre and all four of those incidents should have clearly and obviously been on the radar and weren’t. “We got lucky” is not what Americans need to hear.

Item #8:

Apparently, U. S. government inspectors failed to notice that an “automatic burn system” required by law since 1994 to handle oil spills was not in place at the British Petroleum operation where the three recent horrific leaks took place. The idea was to burn off immediately any oil spills. Eight fire booms were required to be on-site ready to go. Responsible for those firebooms: the U.S. government, your U.S. government. For its part, British Petroleum also received safety exemptions from both the Bush and the Obama administration for faulty issues. Last one April 6, 2009. Get this, eight days after Press Secretary Gibbs characterized the explosion as a ho-hum matter, the U.S. government was searching around the globe for fire booms, even just one, please anyone!

Item #9:

The Greek unions are revolting angrily about that country’s financial debacle. The unions in Greece are all-powerful and shook down the system for benefits and boondoggles that would make even America’s United Auto Workers blush. Unfortunately, the International Monetary Fund and World Bank which are likely to bail out Greece are both significantly funded by, you guessed it, American tax dollars.

Item #10:

A Gay softball league has denied its championship trophy to a winning team because they were “not gay enough.” Apparently, two "straight" players were allowed on any team and the champs had its maximum two straights but also at least one acknowledged bi-sexual also. Supposedly a 25-member gay committee determined that the bi-sexual was NOT gay enough. Makes the old head spin, it does . . . .

Item #11:

As most thinking people know, capitalism has been proven over the centuries to be the most efficient system for improving the lives of any nation’s citizens. Capitalism is based upon a “meritocracy” which aims to raise the broad level of economic benefit across a society . . . enhanced opportunity for all, equal opportunity for all. Socialism is, however, based upon a sort of “misery loves company” EQUALITY by down-leveling those with money to the level of those without it. This inefficient method dramatically destroys the power of free markets to enhance overall economic conditions. Several tapes of progressive politicians acknowledging on video-tape that Obamacare wasn’t ever about health but only about government control for wealth redistribution were recently shown on the Glen Beck show.
Item #12
Our NYC would-be car bomber was on a no-fly list; paid for his ticket with cash; had NO luggage; and looks somewhat Arabic. He still got on the plane and the plane got on the runway, before the FBI pulled him off . . . isn't that comforting?

Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,

Rajjpuut

*** Yes, that’s a taped remark by the “guilty” parties. And YES, Mr. Gore and Mr. Obama will profit greatly if Cap and Trade becomes law . . . and their $10 TRillion "industry" is created overnight from out of blue sky. Rajjpuut senses extreme conflict of interest from this corrupt twosome.

Item: http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/04/01/mexican-drug-gangs-attack-army-bases-nearborder/loomia_ow=t0:s0:a4:g4:r2:c0.000000:b0:z5

While Mr. Obama moves toward an amnesty bill making all illegal aliens instantly Democrats, er citizens, Mexican Drug Gangs had the audacity to attack two army bases just south of the border. Overall eighteen of the drug cartel’s attackers were killed outright and two more were wounded in the two fracases. How exactly, with what provisions, does Mr. Obama hope to limit the future entrants to our country to just including upstanding citizens? By the way, the Mexican Drug Cartel’s are reportedly threatening parents along the border with their childrens’ death if they in anyway get in the path of their activities . . . “kill your children and torch your homes” unless the threatened people pay five thousand pesos to the Cartel. Reportedly, some families are “making a run northward” now for their childrens’ safety. Makes you respect our nations’ drug addicts financing these cartels all the more, eh? The firepower along the border controlled by the Cartels has caused the Texas governor to call out the national guard for border patrol work.

Item: While Barak Obama clamors for Cap and Trade legislation which would cripple our already crippled economy, for the first time in several decades it appears that the Artic sea ice cover and the Antarctic sea ice cover are returning toward normal levels (the so-called 1980 baseline), but Al Gore and the global warming alarmists and the mainstream media that promote their party line aren’t correcting their rhetoric on climate change. Some scientists are saying that the 2007 low in Artic ice cover was probably NOT the result of extra warmth but rather may have been the result of recently discovered cyclical ocean currents pushing the ice that was there further south than normal where it melted of course. At present, the cyclical currents have shifted to more normal activities levels and directions.

Item: Although the liberal media have made a big deal out of Obama’s decision to drill offshore along the Atlantic coastline and Obama says he’s “increasing oil production,” the truth is anything but what’s being written. Obama’s decision was to “allow exploration” not to drill. The facts are that Obama has actually prohibited far more areas to exploration then he’s opened up; and he’s postponed the scheduled date of new leases. Expect gas prices at the pump to soar and do not expect any new drilling to occur. By the way, the Democrats and the Obama administration aren't talking about the vast Baaken Oil Fields covering about 22% of the heartland. A lot of jobs and a lot of oil and energy independence are waiting there. Right now just a small portion of that oil is available thanks to capitalist Indian tribes in North Dakota who cannot be told what to do by the federal government on their lands. We have deposits in the lower 48 right now that would dwarf what's available in Saudi Arabia and probably create six million new jobs . . . but Barak Obama wants you to remain ignorant of those facts.

Item: Today’s report that over 162,000 new jobs were created in the last month will be an outright fraud. Why? Among other things the 48,000 temporary Census jobs included in that figure are a once every ten year’s aberration and mean nothing to any economic recovery in the long run and over half the 162,000 jobs created are just that: temporary jobs created by the stimulus NOT real permanent jobs. If you include jobs created by the government in the mix, less than 45% of the new jobs are permanent real jobs in the real world.

Item: Despite all sorts of money thrown awkwardly at the economic problems by the Obama Administration (which doesn’t seem to understand that the only way governments can create real non-government jobs is by getting out of the economy’s way by reducing taxes, government obstruction to the free markets and other blockages that destroy the economy’s ability to naturally create jobs) the overall economy seems to be worsening. Bank failings continue at a record rate.

Item: Chrysler seems primed to ask for another bailout.

Item: The ACORN-driven sub-prime lending bust is still alive and the three mortgage-guarantee laws that ACORN abused to create it are still on the books. The Housing bust continues both for new homes and already existing homes. Overall for businesses and individuals loan payment delinquencies continue to pile up; bankruptcies and home foreclosures are running at record rates.

Item: We still have 9.7% unemployment and the overall unemployment rate increased slightly because more young people came onto the job market. It will take an average of 20,000 new jobs every month just to take care of these new workers but this would do nothing to replace or recreate the 8.4 million jobs which have disappeared since the government started stimulating the economy in October 2008.

Item: ACORN is now changing its name in all 50 states so they'll be eligible for government funding again. Remember, Barak Obama has close ties to ACORN and worked a few years as their lawyer forcing banks and lending institutions to make knowingly bad loans in line with three terrible laws created by the Democratic Party mostly but definitely NOT fought against resolutely enough by the Republicans. ACORN ran a Cloward-Piven scheme to overload the system and bring the country to crisis and move the country toward socialism. Until the Constitution is again respected and these laws are repealed and these type of abuses are prevented in the future, don’t expect much recovery, very soon.

ITEM: Item it would take over four consecutive years (about 50 consecutive months) of creating 162,000 jobs a month to regain the 8.4 million lost jobs and in the meantime, five million young people would also have entered the job market and be lacking jobs . . . the “Jobs President” better start earning his pay and his name.

Item: The real American average wage and the real American minimum wage both continue to fall thanks SLIGHTLY to inflation and employers’ reluctance to hire and take on new benefit-receiving employees in the present economic environment. And what is the real reason behind this drop? Illegal immigrants taking on jobs that many Americans won’t consider. Many employers can offer part-time no-benefit jobs because they don’t have an overriding need for full-time benefit-receiving normal American employees. Second prize in this sweepstakes goes to Unions continually out of touch drive to secure ever greater Cadillac benefit structures for their employees which employers have decided they will not pony up for.

Item: This one you WILL see in the liberal media. The N.Y. Times apparently got it right for once and Rajjpuut congratulates them. The Pope via a representative is attacking the Times’ coverage of the child-abuse scandal by Catholic priests saying it is one sided and exaggerated. Thirty years worth of problems is not exaggeration, it is a holocaust of trust. The Pope who once was a Hitler Youth can NOT reasonably hope to pull a Nazi shut-down on the media. This problem of abuse and more importantly of cover-up of abuse by the church and its officials goes back at least two popes and the present Pope appears himself to be implicated in the cover-up from years ago. Children are vulnerable little people and their health and safety and happiness can never be politicized . . . if the Pope wants this problem to go away, he needs to open all the church’s appropriate records on abuse and cover-up to the world’s media and to pledge to track the problem down all the way to a satisfactory conclusion. A church, above any other institution needs to be a place where people are safe, especially children.

Item: Obama’s efforts to change “Undocumented Future Democrats” into citizens is just the latest travesty. For years now, the social security administration and individual states have routinely been issuing identification to illegal immigrants. Even without this type documentation, ACORN was able to secure thousands of mortgage-guarantees for illegal aliens in the southwest. Rewarding all this duplicity by awarding citizenship is a slap in the puss to native born and naturalized citizens. If you thought Obamacare was divisive, watch what’ll happen to the country as a result of the Obama-Citizenship-Giveaway.

Item: Recently Jim Moran (D-Va) refused to answer a reporter’s questions about the “clerical error” that cost $6.4 Billion in lost stimulus funds supposedly aimed to help out in Virginia’s 12th District. One slight problem, there is no
12th district in Virginia. Moran spent about five minutes asking for respect rather than responding to the questions. Somehow the Obama stimulus folks created an untraceable slush fund for somebody, NICE!

Item: Liberal bloggers are labeling the “Faith, Hope and Charity” T-shirts being sold by Glen Beck as “hate merchandise to raise hate funds for bigot war chests.” Proceeds go to charity reportedly and Rajjpuut was unable to prove otherwise. Talking about Beck and the TEA Party and the T-shirts mentioned under the title “Nightmare in White,” one blogger starts ranting with the words, “there are an awful lot of angry white people in this country” as he went on to once again accuse all “Tea baggers” (which he knows is a sexual slur used by Democrats; the proper term is “TEA Party people”) of racism and hate crimes he implied that no TEA Party folks are NOT white; No TEA Party folks are NOT racists and all TEA Party folks are the scum of the earth and also are members in the KKK and other such organization. Certainly, Rajjpuut has seen with his own eyes that of those accusations exactly NONE are true. The aim of Democrats to marginalize the TEA Party people seems like a very short-sighted and even despicable course of action.

Item: The H1Ni vaccine was only 53% successfully issued. Right now virtually all the unused vaccine is in danger of reaching its expiration date and being thrown away. Hmmm after all the hype from the Obama administration and the shortages in vaccine amounts . . . one would have expected an out-of-control H1N1 flu epidemic in the country
. . . but until today’s news, Rajjpuut for one, hadn’t thought about H1N1 in thirteen or fourteen months.

Item: both Vice President Joe Biden’s and the New York Times’ literal admissions that Obamacare was really not about health care reform at all, but rather a wealth-redistribution scheme . . . have not been repeated . . . realizing their mistake the Veep and the newspaper in question have refrained from further responses to reporters seeking more information. Ooops, didn’t mean to tell the truth . . . .

Item: The mainstream media has ignored the fact that Obamacare not only took over 16% of the economy when it became law and began controlling the health industry. It also took over the student loan industry at the same time.
Item: if you are really a patriotic American, http://www.contractfromamerica.com/Idea.aspx may prove to be one of the most exciting and pertinent websites you'll ever visit. Remember when Bill Clinton tried to run roughshod over the country in 1993 and 1994 with a nationwide takeover of the health care industry that only failed because he was NOT despicable enough to use all the dirty tricks and bribes and reconciliation BS that Obama has . . . the country voted huge numbers of Democrats out of office and for the first time in about 50 years installed Republican majorities in both houses of congress. Then the Republicans put into effect their "Contract with America" (they passed nine of the ten items on the contract) and the deficit plummeted and the country's prosperity was undeniable. Today the TEA Party has listened to Americans and come up with a list of 21 items that Americans have decided are important to them. That contract "with" America by the Republicans was a good idea but their "Contract FROM America is a better one . . . The TEA Party wants to find out which are the TOP TEN CONCERNS of patriotic citizens and then to use those top ten concerns to create a platform for politicians to sign for 2010. Go to the website above and vote for your top ten concerns. Rajjpuut's were: 1.Protecting the Constitution 2. Health Care Repeal and then Real Health Care Reform 3. Stopping Cap and Trade 4. Ending runaway government Spending 5. Real Transparency in government 6. No more bailouts 7. All of the above energy policy 8. Restore fiscal responsibility and Constitutionally-Limited government 9. Stop the tax hikes and 10. Demand a balanced budget . . . which is a good list, but probably not your list . . . go to the site and make your preferences known . . . .

Item: Drug Enforcement Act (DEA) officials are now visiting southern Afghanistan in America’s belated realization that opium is at the heart of the Taliban and Al Qaeda efforts in that country with the profits from opium funding their insurgency. The strange thing is that many compatible farm products are more profitable than poppies (almost all the profit from illegal drugs come after harvest and refinement) but it’s believed the Taliban likes the poppy for traditional reasons and because it plays a big role in advancing “American decadence” according to their ideology. Rajjpuut feels a strong bond to the drug addicts who help fund the killing of our soldiers.

Item: President Obama has effectively politicized the EPA (consider the edict to stop irrigation of central California farms and raise unemployment to protect the Delta Smelt <tiny fish>) and will now seek to ram through an EPA directive to ram through cap and trade legislation that Democrats have not been able to pass through the senate. This is yet another “end run” around lawful legislation processes with Obama’s arrogant administration attempting to regulate what they cannot legislate. It’s all just one more huge attempt to erode the Constitution’s authority. Just as Obamacare is, in effect, a tax on living . . . Cap and Trade type laws or edicts are nothing more than a tax on companies that actually build or create something . . . . it appears that Barak Obama intends to turn off all the lights in America . . .

About 6 months ago, a writer was watching a news program on oil and one of the Forbes Bros. was the guest.. The host said to Forbes, "I am going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer; how much oil does the U.S. have in the ground?" Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, "more than all the Middle East put together." Please read below. The U. S. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big. It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since 1995) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota, western South Dakota, and extreme eastern Montana ...... check THIS out:The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska 's Prudhoe Bay , and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable... at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5..3 trillion.."When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.." says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.."This sizable find is now the highest-producing onshore oil field found in the past 56 years," reports The Pittsburgh Post Gazette. It's a formation known as the Williston Basin , but is more commonly referred to as the 'Bakken.' It stretches from Northern Montana, through North Dakota and into Canada . For years, U. S. oil exploration has been considered a dead end. Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago. However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves..... and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL!That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years straight. And if THAT didn't throw you on the floor, then this next one should - because it's from 2006!U. S. Oil Discovery- Largest Reserve in the WorldStansberry Report Online - 4/20/2006Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels. On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction. In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this motherload of oil why are we still fighting over off-shore drilling? They reported this stunning news: We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth.. Here are the official estimates:- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia- 18-times as much oil as Iraq-21-times as much oil as Kuwait- 22-times as much oil as Iran- 500-times as much oil as Yemen- and it's all right here in the Western United States .HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy.....WHY?James Bartis, lead researcher with the study says we've got more oil in this very compact area than the entire Middle East -more than 2 TRILLION barrels untapped. That's more than all the proven oil reserves of crude oil in the world today, reports The Denver Post.Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price - even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace, - it has to. Think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists?Got your attention yet? Now, while you're thinking about it, do this:Pass this along. If you don't take a little time to do this, then you should stifle yourself the next time you complain about gas prices - by doing NOTHING, you forfeit your right to complain. Now I just wonder what would happen in this country if every one of you sent this to every one in your address book.By the way...this is all true. Check it out at the link below!!!GOOGLE it, or follow this link. USGS is the only provider of publicly available estimates of undiscovered technically recoverable oil and gas resources.New geologic models applied to the Bakken Formation, advances in drilling and production technologies, and recent oil discoveries have resulted in these substantially larger technically recoverable oil volumes. About 105 million barrels of oil were produced from the Bakken Formation by the end of 2007.The USGS Bakken study was undertaken as part of a nationwide project assessing domestic petroleum basins using standardized methodology and protocol as required by the Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 2000.The Bakken Formation estimate is larger than all other current USGS oil assessments of the lower 48 states and is the largest "continuous" oil accumulation ever assessed by the USGS. A "continuous" oil accumulation means that the oil resource is dispersed throughout a geologic formation rather than existing as discrete, localized occurrences. The next largest "continuous" oil accumulation in the U.S. is in the Austin Chalk of Texas and Louisiana, with an undiscovered estimate of 1.0 billions of barrels of technically recoverable oil."It is clear that the Bakken formation contains a significant amount of oil - the question is how much of that oil is recoverable using today's technology?" said Senator Byron Dorgan, of North Dakota. "To get an answer to this important question, I requested that the U.S. Geological Survey complete this study, which will provide an up-to-date estimate on the amount of technically recoverable oil resources in the Bakken Shale formation."The USGS estimate of 3.0 to 4.3 billion barrels of technically recoverable oil has a mean value of 3.65 billion barrels. Scientists conducted detailed studies in stratigraphy and structural geology and the modeling of petroleum geochemistry. They also combined their findings with historical exploration and production analyses to determine the undiscovered, technically recoverable oil estimates.USGS worked with the North Dakota Geological Survey, a number of petroleum industry companies and independents, universities and other experts to develop a geological understanding of the Bakken Formation. These groups provided critical information and feedback on geological and engineering concepts important to building the geologic and production models used in the assessment.Five continuous assessment units (AU) were identified and assessed in the Bakken Formation of North Dakota and Montana - the Elm Coulee-Billings Nose AU, the Central Basin-Poplar Dome AU, the Nesson-Little Knife Structural AU, the Eastern Expulsion Threshold AU, and the Northwest Expulsion Threshold AU.At the time of the assessment, a limited number of wells have produced oil from three of the assessments units in Central Basin-Poplar Dome, Eastern Expulsion Threshold, and Northwest Expulsion Threshold. The Elm Coulee oil field in Montana, discovered in 2000, has produced about 65 million barrels of the 105 million barrels of oil recovered from the Bakken Formation. Results of the assessment can be found at http://energy.usgs.gov.For a podcast interview with scientists about the Bakken Formation, listen to episode 38 of CoreCast at http://www.usgs.gov/corecast/.
