spending (28)

As I communicate with so many Americans across our great nation on a daily basis, Republicans on a local, state, and national basis are saying they ‘will not support’ Republicans in 2014 and/or 2016 on a broad basis.  These all across the region are saying they probably will vote, but not for these spenders; however, they may stay at home.  Many are saying that they are ‘done’ with this spending.

Our Capitol Hill Republican leaders and the RNC leadership are joining in with more additional deficit spending of our National debt; many Republicans are separating themselves from any additional support of GOP candidates who continue joining in with this insanity.

Many Republicans are going to become disappointed as many voters refuse to support many Republican candidates for re-election.  If you don’t believe it, just wait and watch it happen.

As different as it may seem, it appears many Capitol Hill ‘RINO’ Republicans are joining forces in support of the ‘fiscal’ policies of President Obama and Capitol Hill ‘Liberal’ Democrat Party of tax-and-spend.

While Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell may be suggesting their political decisions are a ‘strategy’, Americans continue to ‘scream’ as TEA Party Conservative Republicans are ‘demanding’ to ‘stop-the-spending’.

GOP leaders, your polling numbers and my polling results are with different numbers.

4063756135?profile=originalNext February, we will celebrate the 5th anniversary of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). You know, President Obama's trillion-dollar spending spree that was sold to the American people as a means to save our economy from the brink of disaster and create American jobs.

As the former-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in 2010, when she and her left-wing minions were forcing the Affordable Care Act on the American people, “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy.”

Quite the pathetic statement, however, it is eerily true for us American citizens, because we are either kept in the dark, lied to, or manipulated as to what our government is up to. And once any large piece of legislation is passed, time is what enables us to grasp its impact –– good or bad, corrupt or mismanaged –– and calculate the cost to us hard-working American taxpayers. History has already proven that our government has grown too large, too intrusive, and too expensive.

To better understand this piece of the "green energy" scandal, let me remind my fellow Americans that President Obama promised to have, and claims to be, the most transparent administration in history. Yet here we are over fours yeas later with David Sanger, the New York Times reporter who has spent two decades reporting in Washington, slamming this theory by proclaiming that the Obama administration is the "most closed, control-freak administration" he's ever covered, reported POLITICO this month.
As if many of us didn't have that sentiment already, especially in the midst of a series of serious scandals that hit the White House this year. More so, when we learned that political appointees within the Obama administration, across several agencies, including the Energy Department, and recently the IRS, have been using secret or personal email accounts to conduct official government business. But secrecy is not the only thug tactic operating inside this administration: they have been known to intimidate inspector generals, as told by Gerald Walpin. "But I learned, through being fired by the Obama administration, that performing one’s responsibilities as one should, and potentially adversely affecting the administration’s image, is not the way to keep one’s job," Walpin wrote this past June.

This brings me to today's Green Corruption File, "The RAT in the Recovery and the Gang of Ten," which is the underbelly of this scandal. First is the deception: other than the overall "save the planet" manipulation, Americans were misled as to the real purpose of the stimulus package. Secondly, the Obama administration's "RAT maneuver" (and those behind it) leaves us with speculation (some will say proof) of premeditation and intention in regards to potential shenanigans with the stimulus funds. Last but not least, the "ten green stimulus authors" (yet there could be more) that I have uncovered and will expand upon in the third section of this post, were allowed to ensure that their "green" interests were represented in the stimulus bill, thus cashing in at the tune of tens of billions of tax dollars.

The RAT in the Recovery

What most don't know, not even the majority of Congress, is that there was a RAT hidden deep inside the 1,073-page stimulus bill, which was drafted by the Obama transition team and congressional aides.

Entitled the Obama-Biden Transition Project, it employed approximately 400 people and it was comprised of Obama bundlers and campaign contributors as well as lobbyist and those that operate inside Washington’s egregious revolving door. In the mix was a squadron of Center for American Progress (CAP) experts, the billionaire George Soros-funded liberal think tank. Within this transition group, we also find many that eventually operated inside this clean-energy scheme, of which I'll highlight later.

"From the first debates over the stimulus bill, the White House has promised unprecedented levels of transparency and accountability," noted U.S. News in 2009, even appointing Vice President Joe Biden as the nation’s stimulus spending cop, Stimulus Sheriff Joe, who ultimately went MIA.

Quite the contrary, and it all started when Team Obama starting planning their trillion-dollar spending spree, because “deep inside” the 2009 Recovery Act was a RAT, an attempt to suppress potential investigations, and only a few news outlets caught it in February of 2009: the Washington Post and the Washington Examiner.
As legislation was moving at rapid speed, and Congress continually failed to read the bills, the Obama administration had placed a “far-reaching and potentially dangerous provision." The creation of the RAT Board (Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board) was supposed to be “an oversight panel headed by a White House nominee.”

The controversial provision emerged in a January 2009 draft of the bill prepared by Obama's transition team officials and members of the House Appropriations Committee, of which at that time it was labeled by the White House as “critical to prevent waste and corruption.” This RAT board gave them the authority to ask, “That an inspector general conduct or refrain from conducting an audit or investigation.”

Did you get that? An Obama appointee could dictate what to investigate and what investigations they wanted to squash.

According to The Examiner...
When Iowa Republican Sen. Charles Grassley, a longtime champion of inspectors general, read the words “conduct or refrain from conducting,” alarm bells went off. The language means that the board — whose chairman will be appointed by the president — can reach deep inside a federal agency and tell an inspector general to lay off some particularly sensitive subject. Or, conversely, it can tell the inspector general to go after a tempting political target. …”
Senator Grassley (Republican from Iowa), also warned, "This is a dangerous provision that will hamper oversight, restrict transparency, and damage the independence of inspectors general."

Subsequent concerns arose, with Senator Claire McCaskill (Democrat from Missouri), who was alarmed by the sentence that allowed "the panel to order an inspector general to stop an investigation." As reported by The Post in February 2009...
The group representing federal inspectors general recommended that the entire disputed provision be deleted from the legislation, according to David R. Gray, counsel to Phyllis K. Fong, chair of the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency.
Senate negotiators changed the board composition. While the president would appoint the head of the panel, the rest of the members would be inspectors general.
House and Senate negotiators also added a line proposed by McCaskill saying that the final decision on whether to proceed is up to the inspector general. "The language sends a very clear message that the IG is in the driver's seat," she said.

As you can see, eventually lawmakers revised the original bill, and allowed “the watchdog agencies to reject the panel's decisions.” But only after they were BUSTED, leaving many wondering why another layer of bureaucracy? Worse, why would a panel be given that kind or power in the first place, power that was not entirely stripped away.

At that time, they named the former Interior Department Inspector General Earl Devaney, who helped uncover the Jack Abramoff scandal, as the head. Yep, we got a Stimulus Czar, and more taxpayer money going out the door: "The bill allotted about $350 million in oversight measures, including $84 million for the creation of an oversight board," as documented by U.S. News. Mr. Devaney has since retired, and in December 2011, President Obama appointed Kathleen S. TIghe Chair of the Board, with eleven Inspectors General from various federal agencies that serve with her.

Moreover, “Per the Recovery Act, the Board's Recovery activities were supposed to end on September 30, 2013. However, in the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013 to assist states and individuals impacted by Hurricane Sandy, Congress stipulated the Board provide oversight of the funding through 2015.”

The irony here is that the RAT Board's stated goals are “to provide transparency of Recovery-related funds and “to detect and prevent fraud, waste, and mismanagement.” While I can't speak for the entire stimulus bill, I know that tucked inside was $100 billion that Team Obama carved out for their big clean-energy push (save the planet funds). Money that I have been following since 2010, which has not only led to plenty of fraud, waste, and mismanagement, but also abuse, cronyism, corruption, and failure.

Most critically is that this “RAT” maneuver only leaves speculation of premeditation and intention in regards to potential shenanigans (an understatement) with the stimulus funds, and the daunting question, what has the RAT Board done about the massive pile of clean-energy dirt?

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)
& Its $100 billion renewable energy earmark

Shortly after President Obama began his reign as our 44th president, in February 2009, he signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). This was a massive economic stimulus bill –– among the biggest in history –– that was sold to the American people as a means save our economy from the brink of disaster and create American jobs.

By the beginning of 2012, revelations revealed the real intent behind Obama's trillion-dollar spending spree ("walking around money"): it was “a key tool for advancing the Obama administration’s clean-energy goals and fulfilling a number of campaign commitments.” In fact, the 2009-Stimulus package was jammed-packed full of clean-energy provisions, of which about 10 percent of the monies were earmarked for renewable energy.

It's important to point out that the $100 billion in stimulus funds is not the only money being used to fuel the Obama administration's efforts to save the planet using other people's money.  I'd say it's closer to $150 billion to date, and counting, because they continue to dish out more. In short, other departments handing out "green" include the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Biorefinery Assistance Program, and we even find that there is a "Green War" being waged: "the Department of Defense has launched more green energy initiatives than any other federal agency and many are duplicative and wasteful," as reported by the Washington Free Beacon.
Another means where huge corporations and Obama's "green" pals get taxpayer money is through the taxpayer-supported Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im), who "has a Congressional mandate to support renewable energy and has been directed that 10% of its authorizations should be dedicated to renewable energy and environmentally beneficial transactions."

Additionally, the president's new Climate Action Plan, announced in July of this year, calls for releasing "$8 billion in loan guarantees for advanced fossil fuel and efficiency projects, and strengthen the Better Building Challenge to increase building efficiency 20 percent by 2020." Meanwhile, the "Obama administration is ready to restart the controversial automotive loan program designed to kick-start the development of alternative vehicles." This is the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing (ATVM) program that holds authority to award up to $25 billion in direct loans.
Last fall, I chronicled how there were over 100 applicants for this section of the DOE's loan program, yet only the "FAVORED FIVE" were granted ATVM loans totaling $8.4 billion. Three of the five loans are directly tied to President Obama and the other two, both Ford Motor Co. and Nissan, were heavily engaged in negotiations with the administration over fuel economy standards for model years 2012- 2016 at the time DOE was considering their applications."
The ATVM is part of the Energy Department’s Loan Guarantee Program (DOE LGP) which has been a main focus throughout my work since April 2012. This is a program that consists of three separate entities: Section 1703Section 1705, and Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing (ATVM), and has thus far guaranteed $34.7 billion of taxpayer money. Both Section 1703 and the ATVM programs were established during the Bush administration, and Section 1705 was created by the 2009-Recovery Act.

This is the same Energy Department program which the Green Corruption Files has exposed over and over how at least 90 percent of the winners have meaningful politically connections (bundlers, top donors, fundraisers, etc) to the president and other high-ranking Democrats –– in many cases, to both. It also brought you big alternative energy losers such as Solyndra, Beacon Power, Abound Solar, Vehicle Production Group, SoloPower, Nevada Geothermal, and Fisker Automotive, flushing billions of tax dollars down the toilet. Yet there are billions more still at risk, and we're keeping an eye on these DOE projects: AREVA and its $2 billion, Georgia Power Company and its $8.33 billion, NRG Energy, Inc. (BrightSource) and its $1.6 billion, First Solar and its $3 billion, and others.

Still, the Energy Department's loan program is not the only place where we find taxpayer-funded clean-energy losers. At the end of 2012, I calculated that "as many as 50 Obama-backed green energy companies were bankrupt or troubled." In May I revisited this area, with my new numbers reflecting that 25 are bankrupt, and there are four about to go under. Then, if we keep those that were having issues the same (at 29), the latest taxpayer-funded clean-energy failure list is about 60 –– with almost half bankrupt. Stay tuned for a new investigative report on this topic in the near future.

GOP leaders and many other Republicans voted for ObamaCare in joining Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats to defeat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX); an attempt to restore our Health Care and our fragile economy.  Americans want jobs.  ObamaCare is choking our economy.  Businesses are having a difficult time by adding ObamaCare to their cost and competing in a world economy.  Many of our manufacturing jobs have left the USA for friendlier nations.

Most Americans expected Harry Reid’s Senate Majority Democrats to, again, shove an unwanted, unwanted, and unneeded edition of ObamaCare crammed down our throats; however, no one ever expected so many Republicans to weaken in support of such a collapsing national economy damaging piece of legislation as ObamaCare and strained us and now perceive a forced re-run on Americans’ who are coveting jobs, not additional economic failures.

52 Democrat, 25 Republicans, and 2 Independents voted for Senate ‘Cloture’ on September 27, 2013 in moving ObamaCare in the direction of passage; legislation Democrats rammed down Americans throats in December 2009 http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=113&session=1&vote=00206.

25 Senate Republicans voted for ‘Cloture’ with President Obama, Senator Harry Reid, and all other 52 voting Senate Democrats and 2 Independents in support of ObamaCare; the most ‘job-killing’ legislation ever in the USA.

25 Senate Republicans voting for ‘Cloture’ include: Alexander (R-TN), Ayotte (R-NH), Barrasso (R-WY), Blunt (R-MO), Boozman (R-AR), Burr (R-NC), Chambliss (R-GA), Chiesa (R-NJ), Coats (R-IN), Coburn (R-OK), Cochran (R-MS), Collins (R-ME), Corker (R-TN), Cornyn (R-TX), Graham (R-SC), Hoeven (R-ND), Isakson (R-GA), Johanns (R-NE), Johnson (R-WI), Kirk (R-IL), McCain (R-AZ), McConnell (R-KY), Murkowski (R-AK), Thune (R-SD), Wicker (R-MS).

All 52 Senate Democrats and 2 Independents voted for ‘Cloture’ with President Obama, Senator Harry Reid, and all other voting Democrats and 2 Independents in support of ObamaCare; the most ‘job-killing’ legislation ever in the USA.

14 Republican offices up for re-election in 2014: Alexander, Lamar (R - TN), Chambliss, Saxby (R - GA), Chiesa, Jeff (R - NJ), Cochran, Thad (R - MS), Collins, Susan M. (R - ME), Cornyn, John (R - TX), Enzi, Michael B. (R - WY), Graham, Lindsey (R - SC), Inhofe, James M. (R - OK), Johanns, Mike (R - NE), McConnell, Mitch (R - KY), Risch, James E. (R - ID), Roberts, Pat (R - KS), Sessions, Jeff (R - AL).

18 Democrat offices up for re-election in 2014: Baucus, Max (D - MT), Begich, Mark (D - AK), Coons, Christopher A.(D - DE), Durbin, Richard J. (D - IL), Franken, Al (D - MN), Hagan, Kay R. (D - NC), Harkin, Tom (D - IA), Johnson, Tim (D - SD), Landrieu, Mary L. (D - LA), Levin, Carl (D - MI), Markey, Edward J. (D - MA), Merkley, Jeff (D - OR), Pryor, Mark L. (D - AR), Reed, Jack (D - RI), Rockefeller, John D., IV (D - WV), Shaheen, Jeanne (D - NH), Udall, Mark (D - CO), Udall, Tom (D - NM).

None of the 2 Independent offices are up for re-election in 2014.

How will these 79 US Senators justify their voting record on this issue.  How will the competing 18 Democrats and/or 14 Republicans defend their records for re-election(s)?

Most Americans and more than half of all small business now want ObamaCare to be repealed and/or defunded.  Even Labor Unions are calling to end ObamaCare.  Our US economy is in shambles; however, Capitol Hill GOP leaders led many Republicans to join in with President Obama, Sen. Harry Reid, and other Capitol Hill Democrats.  Did you ever believe so many Republicans could and/or would make such a left turn.  It is as if too many Capitol Hill legislators are drinking too much ‘Kool-Aid’ or consuming some other ‘mind bending’ substance(s).

Unfortunately, most Capitol Hill Democrat and Republican Party leaders have betrayed (y)our American businesses and their employees on ObamaCare.

Pennsylvania Avenue and many Democrat, Republican, and Independent Capitol Hill legislators are well overdue for replacements.  Watch their Senate challengers ascend in 2014!

Government loses $100,295 for every $37,096 citizen net paying job they destroy! (Citizen job tax & subsidy plus the invader subsidy) A bankrupt country can’t survive allowing its elected officials to literally throw away $1.5 to $2.7 trillion per year! It’s a perverse hatred beyond reasoning!

The only acknowledged amnesty motive is buying progressive votes. Low wage subservient workers at Chinese levels are global monopolist goals. Demonic executive branch progressive Marxist hatred seeks collapse and revolution. Bottom line, reasons don’t matter when under siege in all areas from within!

Like the senate, the house is awash in fraud, extortion, threats, compromised “government grant” money, and the endless “bipartisan” global PAC money! Officials are openly threatened into heeling like dogs on a leash! Sedition openly festers within the belly of government corruption! Oath bound elected government officers hide this from citizens. When “unknown” domestic and foreign interests dictate official decisions that overrules Constitution and law we have treason!   Does Amendment 14 Clause 3 sound familiar?   We need legislatures that will prosecute to restore our constitution and independence.

An amnesty vote will end freedom!

Do you know what Capitol Hill Democrats are doing to you?  Are you aware of Senate and House Democrats’ efforts to add more government debt on you and I as well as more taxes from your take-home pay, and/or leave more owing debt to (y)our children and their children; for them to pay?  Republicans have offered a list for cutting $2.5 Trillion spending.  Capitol Hill Democrats reject almost all spending cuts.  Why does Capitol Hill Democrats refuse to cut out-of-control spending to balance the budget?  Repeal of ObamaCare, alone, would save Hundreds of Billions of dollars for Americans’ working taxpayers.

What does Americans know about ObamaCare?  Importantly, a current Rasmussen Reports finds that 54% think the U.S. Health Care System will likely worsen over the next couple of years.

What Americans do know, they do not like.  Regardless, Senate Democrats continue to ‘cram ObamaCare down (y)our throats’.

On March 22, 2013, the US Senate voted on a Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) Amendment for full repeal of ObamaCare.  The Amendment is totally clean: ‘To establish a deficit-neutral reserve fund to provide for the repeal of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 and to encourage patient-centered reforms to improve health outcomes and reduce health care costs, promoting economic growth.’

With all of these and more barricades harming Americans and our US economy, on a March 22, 2013 Roll Call, the US Senate Democrats rejected ObamaCare repeal.  All 45 Republicans voted “YEA” to ‘repeal’ ObamaCare.  All 52 Democrats and 2 Independents who usually vote Democrat (Exception- Lautenberg (D-NJ)-No Vote) voted “NAY” on repealing ObamaCare.

Based on the Congressional Budget Office, ‘ObamaCare is still projected to have a gross cost of over $1.6 trillion from 2013 to 2022.’  Reports now say Americans’ consumer costs under ObamaCare will double their current insurance costs.  With a failing economy with more and more Americans losing their jobs under President Obama’s economic hardship, how will our people survive?

Who is responsible for paying ObamaCare for ‘Illegal immigrants’?  On March 23, 2012, Senate Democrats rejected new legislation that would have prevented ‘illegal immigrants’ granted legal status and federally subsidized health care.  All 44 Republicans except Sen. Murkowski (R-AK) voted “YEA” to stop ObamaCare from insuring ‘illegal immigrants’.  All 52 Democrats and 2 Independents who usually vote Democrat (Exception- Lautenberg (D-NJ)-No Vote) voted “NAY” in allowing ObamaCare to insure ‘illegal immigrants’.

The Hill says, ‘Comprehensive immigration reform could make millions of people suddenly eligible for assistance under President Obama's healthcare law, assuming a final deal paves the way for undocumented immigrants to receive papers.’

In most states, owners/operators of most cars, trucks, and other motorized vehicles driven on our public roads and highways are required to maintain liability insurance.  The liability insurance costs are based on his/her vehicle(s), their personal and/or hazardous lifestyle, their personal history, their driving record, and/or other histories, etc.  Each individual’s liability insurance cost is reflective to the individual and their vehicle(s), and each person must pay accordingly.

Under ObamaCare, the more “good living and healthier lifestyle” individuals are “penalized” and “forced to pay” the excessive costs for the “not so good living with a more different, and, perhaps, dangerous lifestyle” individual.  Regardless of anyone’s age, sex, personal, and/or hazardous lifestyle (illegal drugs, alcohol. etc.), and/or any other reason, all individuals and their costs are treated exactly the same; just as others in Socialists and/or Communists countries.

The Wall Street Journal reports, ‘Central to ObamaCare are requirements that health insurers (1) accept everyone who applies (guaranteed issue), (2) cannot charge more based on serious medical conditions (modified community rating), and (3) include numerous coverage mandates that force insurance to pay for many often uncovered medical conditions.’

Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) says, “Defunding Obamacare would save the government a few billion dollars."  Beyond that, Huelskamp said "it will help millions of Americans keep their current employer-sponsored health insurance, it will stop HHS (Health and Human Services Department) from continuing to implement a very unpopular law that's driving up premiums."

Repeal of ObamaCare will benefit all working Americans personal budgets while helping to create and expand more jobs leading to an American economic recovery.

In today’s society, there are folks who ‘work for a living’, and there are folks who ‘vote for a living’.  These prior listed motives include and are revealing as to how President Obama and Capitol Hill Democrats are playing Santa Clause spending (y)our taxpayers’ money on countless ‘giveaways’ to others who ‘vote for a living’ as well as on issues to ascertain ‘illegal immigrants’ in voting on elections, if approved.  Are there any uncertainties?

It is amazing how quickly the focus in DC can change from fiscal matters to something entirely different.  Politicians remind me of three-year old children – easily distracted.  Never mind the huge deficits and fiscal crisis we have on our hands which has not been addressed in over twelve years!  I know – let’s talk about federal immigration reform or better yet, federal gun control laws… whatever is viewed as the next crisis is the one to which attention is given.  Reminds me of the old political saying – “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.

I wrote an e-mail to my House Representative a few weeks ago asking him to vote NO on the $50.4 billion dollar bill to approve aid to Hurricane Sandy victims because a large portion of the bill included spending for items that had absolutely nothing to do with aiding the storm victims.  In addition, there were no offsetting spending cuts.  The House could not even approve to cut spending to cover 1/3 of the cost of this bill.

As one of my favorite Washington DC correspondents, Jamie Dupree, posted on his blog: “While many Republicans wanted a smaller disaster relief bill, some of them refused to embrace a plan to pay for 1/3 of the plan, by using an across the board budget cut of 1.63% to trim $17 billion.  “Are we willing and able to do without anything?” asked a frustrated Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC), who saw 71 of his fellow Republicans vote against the offsetting budget cuts.  The move reinforced arguments by Democrats that the GOP loves to talk about cutting the budget and saving money, but doesn’t follow through.”

Think about this as it relates to your household budget.  Let’s say a disaster strikes – strong winds damage your home’s shingles and you need to have new shingles put on your roof.  Your insurance policy will cover the cost of replacing the shingles, BUT will require you to pay a $2,000 deductible.  The first item most of us would do is look at our budget and see what we need to cut in order to account for that unexpected $2,000 outlay.  Perhaps we have savings and can tap into that, have a line-of-credit and can borrow the funds, or can do the work ourselves.  Of course, we may decide to look for a second job and try to increase our revenue stream to pay for the $2,000, but putting these options aside, normal folks look to what they can cut to make up for this new “required” expense.  We may look at cutting entertainment or budgeted funds for clothes or simply decide not to get the roof fixed at this time.

Let’s face facts, neither Republicans nor Democrats are serious about budget cuts or reining in government spending.  Their actions over the previous twelve years (Bush and Obama administrations) make this evidently clear.  Our politicians are in the business of keeping our government growing – why do you think the seat of government continues to attract those looking for work?  A large % of the government’s spending manages to stay in DC – how convenient!

The choices we face in each election are pretty much as follows:

Vote Democrat for unbridled spending – after all for many Democrats there is no fiscal crisis – just keep raising the debt ceiling and borrowing funds – eventually the economy will come around and with the tax increases just introduced and the savings from Obamacare, enough revenue will be generated to deal with it (FAT CHANCE)!

But a vote for Republicans is just as bad – big talk about budget cuts when they can be used to criticize Democrats, but then go forward with huge increases in spending on military and other Republican favored programs.

The U.S. government has an enormous spending problem and I believe very few if any, of those who represent us on the Hill give a damn!

A Message to All Americans

A Message to all Americans

These are excerpts from a longer document that addresses the CRISIS we all face.

You must have heard of the “Fiscal Cliff”. But there is a worse, more final, problem.

That problem is the Debt Canyon…. And the walls are ready to cave in on us!

Our National Debt is just about $16 Trillion and our population about 314 Million.

Do your math. That calculates to almost $51,000 EACH.

For a family of 4 ….. you are carrying about $204,000 of federal debt

But ,  WAIT….. there’s more! Government is ADDING debt at $1 Trillion per year.

In four years, our Debt will be $20 Trillion (assuming we can still find lenders)

That translates to $63,245 per person and $253,000 per family.

Ooops… DOUBLE those…. Only half of us are paying: $408,000 going to $506,000.

Up $100,000 in just four years.

Do YOU have that kind of $$$.

If you are trying to save for retirement, forget it.

Your Government is giving it away faster than you can save it!

Fixing this problem does not take PhD Economists or Rocket Scientists.

It takes fortitude….. guts!

The answer is………………..STOP DIGGING!

Please read my Debt Reduction Initiative (DRI, PDF attached) and take an ACTION Assignment.

Promise me you will……….TAKE ACTION

  1. Share this with EVERYBODY in your email address book
  2. Commit to personally supporting and voting for the DRI
  3. Call your “politicians”… tell them to STOP DIGGING… STOP SPENDING
  4. Use the sample letter in the DRI….WRITE to your politicians
  5. TALK about this to your children, friends, neighbors… I know…”we don’t”… BUT
  6. Twitter, Blog, Facebook it… RECRUIT the ARMY we need to SAVE America

After almost a century of persistent overspending by our Government is it time for a new paradigm.

The new paradigm is: Deficit – OUT….. Surplus – IN …. DEBT – DOWN!

But the Deficit/Debt Reduction Initiative (DRI) is simple…. One page!

….  less than 4 years to Active DEBT Reduction. We do not need 10 years to partial DEFICIT Reduction

Read the attached PDF. Then send your letters and make your telephone calls!

Most congressional observers believe Congress will address the issue of empowering states to collect sales tax on the purchases of goods bought on the Internet.  The issue is not typical of other tax issues as it finds conservatives like Steve King (R-Iowa), Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell and others supporting the states ability to collect their sales taxes for online purchases.  A strong argument can be made that they have embraced the conservative position.

Make no mistake about it; there is deep division about this issue.  Mom-and-pop small businesses hate the disparity that was created when the Supreme Court ruled that businesses needed a "nexus" within a state for sales taxes to be collected.  That ruling allowed companies like Amazon to avoid sales taxes while small business are forced to collect them.  They argue that the decision, especially in a poor economy, creates economic incentives that hurt their bottom line.  Why should consumers shop in more expensive local stores when shopping online creates built-in no sales tax savings?

Others argue that allowing states to collect sales taxes for Internet purchases is tantamount to a tax increase.  As opponents have noted, America's budget problems are not revenue problems but spending problems.  Government's bring in enough revenue but can't get their spending in control.

There is tacit acknowledgement of this argument as many supporters of the "Marketplace Equity Act" are governors who are struggling to balance their state budgets.  Billions of dollars in sales are made every year online that have escaped the reaches of the state tax collectors.

But there is a bigger issue at stake -- federalism.

Allowing online merchants to charge, collect and remit sales taxes based on their physical location would level the playing field with Main Street small businesses and, perhaps most importantly, restore federalism to the issue.  The government should treat merchants equally.  It should not be making it harder for small businesses to compete.  In addition, the federal government should not bar states from enforcing their laws as long as they don't interfere with interstate commerce.

In some ways this is a complicated issue.  But in others it's clear that fairness and federalism should play a role in the final deliberations.

Tally of Obama's indiscretionary spending.

In the past 3 years of Obama's presidency he has managed to increase our national debt more than all the past presidents combined. He even continues to lie in his campaign ads claiming to be working to pay off our debt and balance the budget.  In this time we have heard of the horror stories of the spending binge he has gone on in times that we cannot afford increase spending without cutting other spending first.  It is obvious he is not trying to make a sustainable economic system but rather is trying to sink our economy and leave us desperate to buy into some new global economic deal.  It is not easy to spend an extra trillions of dollars on top of the tax money the American people have already been forking out.

There has been so many wasteful big spender programs from cash for clunkers and the American Restoration and Recovery Act to the across the board bonus' for all the government employees I heard of a while back. This is a time our leaders need to inspire people to cut back and give more for less to try and save our country.  There has been so much spending on unneeded and can't afford programs that we can't even remember them all because another spending ploy comes along that we just have to do or little babies will die.  You never hear of our leaders digging up fraud and wasteful uses of our money, just how we need to make more programs.

This blog is to recap all of the wasteful spending that has been instituted in the last 3 years. We want to gather facts and numbers in a complete list here so we can post it up for the people to see.  Facts we want, and if someone posts up a rumor that is incorrect, someone can post a reply to shed light on that one.

So, lets hear it. Where has all these trillions gone?

Purse Strings in the Wrong Hands...

Most people do not understand how our Budget process works or how our nation passes a bill.  There are three sets of hands on the purse strings of our nation.  When a party controls ANY TWO of these strings, they are in control.  These strings are in the hands of the President, the Senate, and the House of Representatives.

I am not an economist.  I am not a highly educated man.  So, I try to take the complicated and make it less complicated so that I can understand it more effectively.  So...I have gone back in time, since 1981, and performed a simple analysis of who holds the purse strings of our nation and what there "deficit rate" is comparatively.  The results are staggering and eye-opening.  You are welcome to check my math.

Democrats OUT-DEFICIT Republicans by $4.23 to $1.00 (in terms of deficit spending) and that is a FACT.  Anyone can pull the figures and do the math themselves.  It does not matter which party is in the White House - it matters which party has majority control.  In the period in question, Democrats had control for 15 years and Republicans had control for 18 years.  During the 15 years that Democrats had control, they added $8.014 TRILLION to the national deficit.  During the 18 years that Republicans had control, they added $2.280 TRILLION to the deficit.  The yearly rate is $534 BILLION to $127 BILLION.

Republicans are also better at reducing the previous years deficit.  They reduce the deficit 60 percent of the time as compared to 40 percent of the time for Democrats.  Now let me ask you this question.  Would you want a parachute that opens 40 percent of the time that only reduces your fall rate to 500 inches per second or a parachute that opens 60 percent of the time that reduces your fall rate to 100 inches per second?

Folks, we have a real clear choice this November.  We can argue about policy until we are blue in the face.  We can fight over the Obamacare Tax until the cows come home.  But we need to reduce this to something VERY simple and easy to understand.  Democrats will put this nation deeper into debt than Republicans.  Full STOP!

The graphic to back my claim is included.  I intend to continue my education efforts on this matter until I can no longer draw breath.  I am interested in ONLY the facts.  Here they are!

Defaults, Terrorists and Reality!

Defaults, Terrorists and Reality

Of recent, we have heard much, of the Federal Governments’ certain default if we didn’t raise the debt ceiling, yet many fiscally conservative Congressmen made compelling arguments against doing so or at least not doing so without commensurate and immediate cuts in spending, which after all, nearly everyone admits is beyond our ability to pay for.  Their reward for questioning the long-term viability and fiscal prudence of the debt ceiling deal was to be labeled “terrorists” as were the Tea Party members who supported them.

Out of this supposed crisis the President gets what he wants, authorization to spend another $2.4 Trillion and avoid debt ceiling debate till after the 2012 elections; the Republicans in Congress come out of it with no new taxes at least for the short term, and the people get to pay for the continued spending because the proposed offsetting spending cuts are mostly illusionary.

So why, all of the “theater”?  What is the truth?  Now that the $2.4 Trillion deal is passed do we still have reason for concern or are we out of the woods?  I would like to present some facts and let you judge for yourselves.

The GDP (Gross Domestic Product or economic output) of the United States is approximately $14.8 Trillion, while the U.S. debt is approximately $14.3 Trillion and soon to rise to $16.7 Trillion.  To put these numbers in context, the GDP of the entire world including the U.S. is $63.1 Trillion.  Our debt will very soon exceed 25% of world GDP.  But looming on the horizon, and what sends shivers down the spine of the world financial market, is our un-funded liabilities.  Benefits that we owe to retirees and others that are as yet un-filed for and uncollected, and because there are no trust funds or they have been for the most part robbed, remain un-funded.  The most conservative estimates place this liability at about $65 Trillion, where others place it as high as $105 Trillion.  These debts are in addition to the current national debt!

Imagine one country whose debt liabilities exceed global GDP, who is borrowing 41 cents of every dollar it spends, whose currency is the reserve currency of the world and through the Federal Reserve owns nearly half of its own debt!  Scary is not the word for it!

Many think that China owns most of our debt, but in reality their GDP is only about $6.1 Trillion and they hold just over $1.1 Trillion of U.S. debt, about 7% of the total and they have been reducing their stake.  What they have a large stake in are the manufactured goods that we consume as we only manufacture about 10% of them ourselves.

Some think that raising taxes is the answer, but we could raise everyone’s income taxes by 50 % and would still have nearly a $1 Trillion annual deficit at current spending levels.  A very real burden on all taxpayers is not a lack of taxes collected from the rich, but the governments choosing to exempt over 50% of the workers from paying federal taxes and indeed share your tax dollars with approximately 40% of the population with income tax credits, food stamps, medic-aide, housing assistance and other forms of redistribution by a government whose spending practices have outstripped the taxpayers ability to pay and still support a thriving economy as evidenced by the protracted downturn and continued high unemployment levels.

High unemployment and underemployment have along with the general economic down turn resulted in a revenue shortfall compared to 2008, of over $400 Billion annually.  The uncertainty about whether spending will go down, or taxes will go, up has exacerbated the problem and slowed the recovery.  One thing is for sure, raising taxes now will slow hiring, economic growth and the revenue growth that would have followed.

Clearly we have a spending problem and need to rein it in.  What is not so clear is why Speaker John Boehner did not address immediate and substantial cuts in the debt ceiling deal, but opted for “pie in the sky” future cuts that he knows, full well, we cannot force on a future Congress.  So in other words the very clear mandate of November 2010 has been ignored and rather than cut spending this Congress has chosen to continue spending to the tune of an additional $3.3 plus Trillion to be added to the debt.  From January 2011 to January 2013, the 112th Congress will have added nearly as much to the National Debt as the infamous 111th Congress!  What mandate?!

The fight with Congress and the Administration, will now be to not increase taxes and give the economy a chance to recover.  But worry, from the rating agencies hinted downgrades, and the battle to avoid that, will put pressure on the Congress to either raise taxes or make additional spending cuts.  So once more the taxpayer is caught between a rock and a hard place because the Congress does not have the courage to make the necessary cuts to bring financial stability, balance the budget and lower or eradicate the debt.  Indeed the Congress has established a “super committee” to take up the task of determining what further cuts to make over the next decade, further abdicating their responsibility to a select few and making doubtful that the cuts to offset the new round of spending will ever truly be made.

The world financial markets have reason to be concerned when the world’s largest economy, one that is inextricably wound through their markets as the reserve currency, exhibits such irresponsibility and resorts to name calling and deception.

Some are advocating that doom and collapse are right around the corner.  I would hope to think that our leaders had a better handle on the economy and that the doom was not true, but after the continuing financial crisis of the past 3 years, I am left with little faith.  Just as with an overburdened family budget, we must cut the spending to match our income or risk having the debt service force us into an, ever worsening, downward spiral toward financial ruin.

Common sense dictates that there must be immediate cuts to spending in the $400 Billion or more range, cuts that include all departments even Defense and incentives employed concurrently to jumpstart employment in order to begin substantially increasing revenues.  The object is to be bold, to jump out of the ditch and point the economy toward prosperity once more, not to simply tread water and await our fate as this new deal offers.

There is now reason for additional concern for the separation of powers and future of liberty as the Congress has once more, in the Budget Control Act of 2011, vested additional powers to the President, by relinquishing their constitutional power and duty to determine the need and time to spend our money and vesting it with the President.

It would seem, once more, the Congress has not failed to disappoint the people it is supposed to be serving!

Come November 2012, the Tea Party should not disappoint those who have failed us!!

How Does America Break Out of the Financial Crisis?

I will try to explain this as succinctly as possible.  America is faced with several looming problems that are preventing our recovery and are being largely ignored.  Much of it is not revealed or pursued because there are many folks making a lot of money over it!!  They are picking your pockets!

The first problem is the gusher of deficit dollars going overseas whether it is for oil, manufactured goods or US military spending.  Dollars leave at a much faster pace than they come in.  The trade deficit is on the order of $540 Billion dollars annually and that does not count the Military expenditures!!  By way of comparison our total manufacturing is $1,700 Billion annually.

The second problem is a lack of quality jobs, due in part to the mass exodus of manufacturing overseas.  Today we manufacture a little over 10% of what we consume.  That represents one of our greatest threats to national security.  We cannot fend for ourselves.  We have to trade with overseas partners to survive.

Third, is the fallacy of “stimulus” spending by the Government being able to always stimulate the economy.  When it is done in the form of rebates to the people or by way of tax cuts, then there is a strong chance it will stimulate spending and move the economy forward.  When it takes the form of creation of new government jobs, it actually stifles the economy, although the new employees are spending, they are either being paid through increased taxes or increased borrowing.  The former gives folks more money to spend and leaves them feeling better about the economy with an inclination toward spending more, but the latter leaves less, for everyone who pays taxes, to spend and injects caution or fear into their spending patterns with an inclination toward tightening the purse strings further (Where we find ourselves now).

Fourth is the Federal Reserve’s penchant for working deals behind closed doors, for printing dollars at will and for refusing to disclose what they are doing and who they are doing it with.  I can tell you, that they have been around 98 years and during that time the dollar has devalued 98%!  Some job of protecting the currency they are doing!

Fifth is the “Culture of Cowardice in the Congress”!  There is a great unwillingness to take the hard votes!  That’s why we can’t reduce spending, balance the budget, slow the deficit or reform our entitlement programs.  The individual Congressmen and Senators fear their campaign donors, the lobbyists, the threat of another Wall Street manufactured financial crisis, or the idea they might be blamed for another terrorist attack if they were to trim some dollars from the defense budget more than they fear “We the People”!  The two things the founders feared the most, a standing army and a large central bank, are what have consumed and devalued a tremendous number of dollars leaving us even less secure.  Meanwhile the Pentagon and the Federal Reserve remain un-audited!!

To think that spending can be reined in, the budget balanced, the deficit reduced or entitlements reformed without putting the Defense budget under scrutiny is, at best, foolhardy.  In total when you consider the entire DOD related spending which includes the Pentagon Base Budget, New construction, Veterans Administration, DOD/Military retirement benefits, Nuclear program under DOE and other DOD administrative spending it accounts for nearly a third of the current total budget and a third of the budget represents deficit spending, or borrowed money.  To say current spending levels are unsustainable is a gross understatement.

There is no plan before the Congress today that can succeed.  Only measures that can be fully implemented during the current session of the Congress will be of lasting benefit.  Last year one of the battle cries was for the “Repeal Amendment”, this year another is for “Cut, Cap and Balance”…problem is, it is another multi year program, again!  You remember what happened to the former, it just sort of lost steam, as probably will the current plans.  Now honestly, do any of you really believe the Congress can embark on and stick to some grand multi year program to cut spending and reduce the budget?  We need to address some of the root problems, right now.

You can help implement the following commonsense five-point program to get America started down the road to recovery immediately, by making sure the Congress listens to and fears, “We the People” more than they fear the special interests!  Call (877)-762-8762 or email your Congressmen and Senators today and every day until they:

v    Drill Here and Drill Now!  For oil, natural gas and coal.

v    Bring Manufacturing Jobs Back to America! Rein in the EPA and Gang Green!

v    Audit the Federal Reserve and stop the devaluation of the dollar!

v    Audit the DOD/Pentagon and cut wasteful and duplicative spending.

v    Immediately cut back the “stimulus” programs that grew the Federal government.

Only if these points are implemented and realized can plans like the Balanced Budget Amendment (which will take several years to be ratified) be able to help succeed in restoring fiscal order and security in America.  We must begin treating the ailment instead of just relieving the symptoms, to ensure our long-term fiscal health!!

You know in your heart no matter how hard they massage the debt and spending, they will not succeed if they don’t implement the above commonsense measures.  Ignoring these points, which can all be implemented immediately, leaves the Congress on a fool’s errand.

Don’t expect many to be talking about these issues.  There are only a few, like Tom Coburn, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Ron Paul, Alan West, Michele Bachmann and Frank Wolf along with a handful of others, with the courage to speak out and sponsor appropriate legislation.  To expect much more from most of the others would be like expecting a pickpocket to say “Hold still while I lift your wallet”!

Take your country back and restore financial security, starting today!  “Turn Up the Heat In Washington”; bring the “Fear Factor” to Capitol Hill.  Thank you, for all you do for Liberty.

Husband's Erratic Behavior
Confounding Future

Dear Abby,

My husband has a long record of money problems. He runs up huge credit-card bills and at the end of the month, if I dare try to pay them off, he shouts at me, saying I am stealing his money.   He says just pay the minimum and then really starts yelling, saying to let our kids worry about the rest, but already we can hardly keep up with the interest . . .  Also he has been so arrogant and abusive toward our neighbors that most of them no longer speak to us. The few that do are an odd bunch, to
whom he has been giving a lot of expensive gifts, running up our bills even more . .
.

Also, he has gotten religious. One week he hangs out with Catholics and the next with people who say the Pope is the Anti-Christ, he attacks the Jews one weeks and has them over to the house the next; and he's spending more and more of his time with Muslims . . .

Finally, the last straw. He's demanding that before anyone can be in the same room with him, theymust sign a loyalty

oath.
It's all just so horribly creepy! Can you help us?
Sincerely,
Lost in DC .

Dear Lost:
Stop whining, Michelle. You can divorce the jerk any time you want. The rest of us are stuck with him for another 19 months.

As Republicans try to reign in the budget to make it more solvent the news claims they are killing seniors and forcing the poor to starve. However, the only people talking about cutting Food Stamps are the democrats.

I am not an advocate of cutting Food Stamps, but it should obviously have more control and not be a drain on the people paying into it. There is a lot of generosity in America from Churches, compaines, and the pockets of individuals. The government is able to send donations to other countries, so I do not think there is any shortage of generosity in this country.

It is amazing how the left and the media can continue to get a way with reporting Republicans do not care about seniors or the poor while at the same time Democrats are responsible for exactly what they claim the Republicans are doing.

I know the Tea Party is helping to get the message out, but it seems like as all this news continues to mount up it is bottle necking and not reaching the mainstream. We can get the news, but with 2012 just around the corner we need a person that isn't afraid to get this message out and hammer it back at the left.

Democrats who reluctantly slashed a food-stamp program to fund a state-aid bill may have to do so again to pay for a top priority of first lady Michelle Obama.

The House will soon consider an $8 billion child-nutrition bill that’s at the center of the first lady’s “Let’s Move” initiative. Before leaving for the summer recess, the Senate passed a smaller version of the legislation that is paid for by trimming the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as the food-stamp program.

The proposed cuts would come on top of a 13.6 percent food-stamp reduction in the $26 billion Medicaid and education state-funding bill that President Obama signed this week.

Food stamps have made multiple appearances on the fiscal chopping block because Democrats have few other places to turn to offset the cost of legislation.

Party leaders raided the budget to find off-setting tax increases and spending cuts to pay for their top legislative priorities, including the roughly $900 billion healthcare law. Congressional pay-as-you-go rules require lawmakers to offset all non-emergency spending.

Voters Losing Faith in Dem Politicians

According to a Rasmussen Reports survey . . . American voters, who have recently acknowledged more faith in Barack Obama than they’ve shown in several months, are now apparently rapidly losing faith in his fellow Democratic politicians and trust Republicans more on all ten of the nation’s top issues.  Looking at the top-10 issues as selected by those surveyed: Voters trust the G.O.P. on the Economy (their #1 issue) by a 9% margin; on health care (issue #2) by 14%. Only on education (#3) was the matter much in doubt. The voters trusted Republicans by only a 2% margin on education while the minimum trust edge for all the other issues was 8% on ethics; and Social Security; and Iraq. The national security (#9) edge given to the G.O.P. was a whopping 15%; and the edge on handling taxes (#10) afforded to Republicans was a phenomenal 19%.

As new House Speaker John Boehner and the G.O.P. take over the House of Representatives this month (the Dems still control the White House and Senate),  this marks the first time according to Rasmussen since August, 2009, that Republicans have been trusted more on all ten top issues. At this time two years ago, the soon to be inaugurated Obama and his Dems were trusted more than Republicans on almost every issue. Republicans have held double-digit or near double-digit leads on generic Congressional ballots over the last few months. Congress means both the House and Senate . . . so possible implications are that Democrats in the House and Congress need to respond to the people’s wishes for sweeping change in their handling of the nation’s business. The election results indicate that voters want that from both parties but perhaps are looking for even more marked change among Democrats.

Meanwhile Barack Obama today meets with Red Chinese leader Hu Jintao. Unfortunately, Mr. Obama has been even more INeffective on the world stage than he has been at creating jobs here at home.  Jintao's country has abused ours in trade agreement after trade agreement and now he's calling for the world to replace the dollar with their currency (the Yuan).  Mr. Hu Jintao is an enemy intent upon economic destruction of this nation and needs to be handled as such.  Of course, we've hurt ourselves much more than the Chinese have damaged us and it's about time Mr. Obama looks back in history to the last time a President actually made a difference in ending a serious financial downturn.

Warren G. Harding in 1921 inherited a terrible recession from progressive President Woodrow Wilson, much worse than the one in 1929 Herbert Hoover caused for himself with his economic interference policies (raising tariffs in particular). Thanks to Harding’s decisive action the so-called “Invisible Depression was ended in fifteen months. What did Harding do? He cut taxes 49%; cut spending 48%; and reduced the national debt by 30%. He died in office before getting to see the country’s full rebound, but his Vice President Calvin Coolidge after being sworn in continued the policies and gave us the “Roaring Twenties” the decade in American History which showed us the most dramatic surge in prosperity the country’s ever known. How does Harding’s example relate to Obama’s visit with Hu Jintao? Rajjpuut would suggest seven steps for the country per se; and three more steps with regard to the Red Chinese:

A.    Internally

1. Reduce government spending by 40% and maintain it at that level for a period of 10-15 years depending upon progress in the economy; national debt and UNfunded liabilities.

2. Reduce taxes on individuals and businesses by 60% for a period of five years; by only 40% for years six-ten.

3. Pay down the national debt by 12% per year for the next dozen years.

4. Create a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. And an amendment requiring that each new Congress must in their first 90 days pass a budget.

5. Pass an amendment to the Constitution abolishing income tax for individuals and businesses and replacing it with an 8% Value-Added Tax (VAT) on all individual and business purchases; and a 12% VAT on all purchases of imported goods.

6. Eliminate all foreign aid.

7. Allow refineries to be built in the United States and drilling of oil inland and offshore to proceed and nuclear power plants to be built.

B.  Vis-a-vis China
Until such a time as China agrees to 100% fair trade with this country in all aspects charge a 40% VAT on all Chinese goods entering the country, and . . .

1. Forbid all knowledge-sharing and technology-sharing with the Chinese.

2. Add a $1 million surtax upon any company doing business with the Chinese.

3. Forbid ownership or exchange of Chinese Yuans in this country.

Rajjpuut states unequivocally that the measures mentioned above will return this country to greatness and put us on the road to curing the worst 85% of our nation’s economic ills within a dozen years.

Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,

Rajjpuut

“. . . a lot of other Europeans in the wake of the Climategate scandal have started calling environmentalists there, not just “greenies,” but now “watermelons” (green on the outside, deep RED on the inside) in recognition of the fact that the chief interest in Cap and Trade has been mainly kept alive by ultra-socialist groups and communists because it practically requires nationalization of all of a nation’s enterprises; requires the all-powerful central government to control all decisions about what to produce, where to produce it, when to produce, where to market it, and how, etc., etc. ad nauseum.” Rajjpuut

‘Progressive-Elitist’ John Kerry

Fumes Over Unsophisticated Voters

According to several internet stories, one-time Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry is NOT a happy camper. According to Yahoo, Kerry would like to “elect a new people.” Complaining that Americans have “abandoned science and truth,” Kerry insists on preaching to anyone that will listen that Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck have led us into a new era of “know-nothingness.” Kerry, you see, is bitter over the fact that Cap and Trade legislation in the senate (a bill he sponsored) never even came to a vote there over the last 17 months, much less passed into law. Kerry feels that “. . . truth and science and facts don’t weigh in. It’s all short-order, lowest common denominator, cheap-seat politics.”

Kerry, the Senate’s richest man has apparently never read this ten and a half month old story:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/article6936289.ece

Why not? Well, because the American MSM (mainstream media), that gives unrelentingly false and favorable coverage to folks like Kerry of the progressive-elite, failed to publicize the fact that even the ultra-liberal London Times (after examining the evidence released in so-called “Climategate” revelations) agrees that global warming is a hoax. That would mean that some particularly sane Americans like Rajjpuut who have long been “global-warming deniers” have actually abandoned gullibility and inanely following the crowd as far as the Europeans are concerned. By the way, here’s a list of 31,000+ other Americans (all scientists, with 9,000+ of them PhD’s who’ve also long denied global warming:

And then there’s the fact that the 2,500 year model global warming theory was based upon had dropped 500 years out of their data collection. Which 500 years? The Medieval Warm Period when temperatures got so warm that ice virtually disappeared from the Northern Hemisphere and Greenland was truly green and Leif Erikson discovered Greenland, established Viking settlements there and even discovered “Vinland,” a.k.a. Canada’s Newfoundland and even established a short-lived settlement there also. So the reason recent times looked so warm is because the global warming “scientists” (we’ll use the word ‘loosely’) while they’d dropped the Medieval Warm Period from their calculations had put extra emphasis upon the 500 year long “Little Ice Age” that killed off the Vikings in Greenland . . . with all that happening and after creating false “hockey stick graphics,” of course the figures lied and said global warming was factual. Poor Senator Kerry never read this article about all that either:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/medieval-warm-period-rediscovered.html

Not only that but Kerry, who recently got a lot of global-heat from trying to avoid Massachusetts’ taxes on his yacht, likes to complain to other tuxedo-wearing participants at $1,000-a-plate dinners somehow couldn’t connect the outrageous taxes on his yacht to the laws passed by liberal fools like himself, preferring rather to gritch about Limbaugh, Beck, the TEA Party and the stupidity of the great unwashed masses who won’t simply take his every sainted utterance as pure GOSPEL . . . the nerve of them!

Kerry, of course, discounted entirely that Cap and Trade would immediately jack up all prices in the United states by 77% (our present economy is $13 trillion thanks to the recession; adding the $10 Trillion per year cost of cap and traded according to some of its most famous proponents . . . we’d then have a $23 TRillion economy based purely upon the addition of “blue sky”; resulting in 77% inflation) . . . leaving that aside for now . . . Barack Obama, in a rare moment of actual truth-telling, told the San Francisco Chronicle his Cap and Trade policy A) “would bankrupt the coal industry” and B) would also “necessarily make the price of electricity sky-rocket.” I guess the fact that 53% of the country still voted for Obama after that revelation spoiled Senator Kerry . . . he apparently assumed silly voters not only were very, very silly, but also absolutely could NOT learn even when the obvious was staring them in the face.

Of course a frequent tux-wearer on the other side of the Atlantic Lord Lawson, former Chancellor of the Exchequer actually called Cap and Trade “a royal highway to corruption” while a lot of other Europeans in the wake of the Climategate scandal have started calling environmentalists there, not just “greenies,” but now “watermelons” (green on the outside, deep RED on the inside) in recognition of the fact that the chief interest in Cap and Trade has been mainly kept alive by ultra-socialist groups and communists because it practically requires nationalization of all of a nation’s enterprises; requires the all-powerful central government to control all decisions about what to produce, where to produce it, when to produce, where to market it, and how, etc., etc. ad nauseum.

Bjorn Lomborg, the famed “Skeptical Great Dane Environmentalist,” though he believes in global warming is an eminently practical and honest man. Lomborg has said that even if we imposed Cap and Trade, with all of its ability to straightjacket the already paralyzed world economy, it would result in barely a 1-degree difference in Global Warming by the end of this century. In response to the exaggerated alarmism of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth,” Lomberg created a documentary called “Cool It” which urges hisfellow environmentalists to cool the rhetoric about global warming as an existential threat to the planet.

As for Senator Kerry, the truth is that progressive elites like him owe the country a huge apology. All the worst ideas still plaguing America (and a lot of others as well) right now are rooted in progressivism, all of them. Think of the worst unfunded liabilities initiated for “all the best motives” and you’ve described progressivism to a “T.” Here are some of those ideas and the president’ in power when they began:

1. Truly Big Government: Teddy Roosevelt

2. Government Control over large land tracts: Teddy Roosevelt

3. The Federal Reserve Bank: Woodrow Wilson

4. The Income Tax: Woodrow Wilson

5. Fighting in Europe’s Wars: Woodrow Wilson

6. Government propaganda: Woodrow Wilson

7. Internment Camps: Woodrow Wilson

8. Controlling (and shutting down) the press: Woodrow Wilson

9. Big interfering Government: Herbert Hoover

10.Ultra-high protective tariffs: Herbert Hoover

11. Huge Tax and Spend Government: FDR

12.Confiscation of Gold: FDR

13. Devaluing the Dollar: FDR

14. Ultra-big Government: FDR

15. Social Security: FDR

16. Expansive Welfare: LBJ

17. Medicare: LBJ

18. Medicaid: LBJ

19. Government Bailouts of Cities: Gerald Ford

20. Government control of Mortgage Industry Jimmy Carter

21.Government bailouts of companies: Jimmy Carter

22. Expansions by fiat thrice by legislation to Carter’s CRA: Bill Clinton

23. Motor Voter Act: Bill Clinton

24. TARP bailouts: G.W. Bush

25. Federal Government involved in bankruptcies: Barack Obama

26. Nationalized Healthcare insurance: Barack Obama

27.Government control of auto companies: Barack Obama

28. Government control of Banks: Barack Obama

29. Government control of student loans: Barack Obama

30. Financial control “reform”: Barack Obama

31. Bailouts of Banks and Wall Street: Barack Obama

32. State Socialism: Barack Obama

Remembering the “Watermelon-Connection” wherein ultra-socialists “green on the outside and Deep RED on the inside” want to use Cap and Trade as a stepping-stone to government takeover of virtually everything because it practically requires nationalization of all of a nation’s enterprises; requires the all-powerful central government to control all decisions about what to produce, where to produce it, when to produce, where to market it, and how . . . . isn’t it fitting that Barack Obama and progressive-elitist and would-be president Kerry are so interested in this seriously flawed “science?” And so looking over that unending list of failure every time serious government taxing, spending, control or interference is contemplated, Senator Kerry still just can’t understand why the masses of sheep are no longer following him to the slaughter house, "It's absurd. We've lost our minds," he keeps repeating.

Exactly Why Progressivism Sucks,

FDR’s/Obama’s Second Bill of Rights

and our Actually $212 TRillion PROBLEM

You do recall candidate Obama’s pledge not to raise taxes on anyone earning less than $250,000 a year? A pledge already worthless? Well consider this, in just a bit over five months, all the Bush tax cuts we’ve been enjoying will be rescinded, but that’s not a tax increase is it? Well, welcome to Bill of Rights Hell, Obamastyle . . . .

Barack Obama would like to take all the credit/blame for his radical legislative program but it’s been around since there have been left-wing progressives interested in “progressing beyond” the United States Constitution which they regard as “outdated” or even “an inferior and ill-conceived document.” Barack Obama himself calls it outdated and adds that it’s merely “a catalog of negative rights.”

Woodrow Wilson was the first recognized Progressive (Teddy Roosevelt was actually the first and mildest** one, however). Wilson, an educator and President of Princeton University wrote several books re-writing history and most particularly the history of the founding of the nation and of the founders. Wilson, according to real history – not progressive history, was an abject racist and the first to segregate the armed forces since Civil War Days. D.W. Griffith’s racist silver screen masterpiece “The Birth of a Nation” which glorified the Ku Klux Klan as the most vital element in post Civil War history, was premiered at the White House for Wilson and his Cabinet.

Herbert Hoover, a Republican like Teddy Roosevelt, believed in government involvement in peoples’ lives to a much greater extent than Teddy did. He sought to involve the government in welfare schemes and to give price supports to farmers among other progressive farm programs. He dramatically reversed the Harding-Coolidge trend of substantially lowered taxes and substantially lowered government spending (over a 45% reduction in both cases in response to the “Invisible Depression” Harding had inherited from Wilson). After the Crash of October ’29 under Herbert Hoover, the Depression was ending with the bottoming out of the stock Market three months after Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s inauguration (in March, in those days). FDR had run on a promise to return to common sense and cutting taxes and cutting government spending which had cut Wilson’s Depression down to size very quickly and left it known as the “Invisible Depression.”

FDR’s policies extended the Depression another nine years from taking office and presumably would not have ended the Depression at all except for the U.S. entry into the war in December of 1941. In the United States that period in history is known as the “Great” Depression but the rest of the world had a rough three years and simple call it a little ‘d’ depression.

FDR’s Second Bill of Rights was aimed, as many progressive schemes are, at redistributing wealth and its been adopted in whole cloth by Barack Obama. The harm done by FDR was incalculable. Hoover only created two new government agencies, FDR created forty. Barack Obama’s Obamacare health care “reform” has created 390+ new government agencies in just one law. Again, as most people sense, Obamacare has little to do with health care and will NOT cut health care costs it is just a method of grabbing more control for the government and redistributing wealth.

Before FDR’s 1944 inauguration (his 4th!) speech he paid homage to the idea but he’d already come out specifically talking about his agenda of redistributing wealth during his earlier 1944 State of the Union Address. The “Second Bill of Rights” according to FDR are “positive rights,” that is what government can do for or to its citizens (after taxing them unmercifully for the money to do it with). He included:

1. The right to a useful and renumerative job

2. The right to earn enough to provide not only food and clothing but

also recreation

3. The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return that

would give him and his family a decent living

4. The right of every family to a decent home

5. The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination from monopolies at home and abroad

6. The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health

7. The right to a good education

8. The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident and unemployment.

Quite the socialist agenda, whereas the Founding Fathers said, we’ll keep the government out of your hair and maximize the money you can keep from what you earn and thus maximize your freedom to take care of your needs as you perceive them, FDR said we’ll tax the hell out of you and then give you some of your money back in the form of cradle-to-grave Nanny-state protection, not noticing that this would destroy the economy’s ability to create jobs and make it a lot less likely that anyone would have money to be taxed. This is clearly virtually identical to Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society” progam.

Let’s look at item #4, in 1977 Jimmy Carter and his dual-chamber Democratic majority in congress passed the CRA of ’77 (Community Reinvestment Act) which for the first time required banks and local lenders to knowingly make bad home loans to otherwise ineligible clients. Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac were added to this travesty in 1992; these “rights” were expanded again twice in 1995; and the Bill Clinton final expansion in '98 (the third expansion under Slicky Willy) put the whole process on steroids and with the help of the Cloward-Piven Strategics of ACORN . . . created the sub-prime lending crisis at the root of today’s economic debacle.

And think of this, the United States had enjoyed for over half a century by far the world’s highest home ownership percentage (62-65%) so there was no problem. What exactly is wrong with renting a home, especially when one is young? What about the rights of landlords to operate their business and perform a clearly useful service?

Item #2 has raised its ugly head often since LBJ’s days, the right to a “guaranteed income.” Wow! Do you mean the right of the lazy and unproductive to extort money from those who earn it fairly by trading their goods and services and talent and education in the free market?

Item #8 is likewise quite interesting. This is the welfare “RIGHT” is it not? At present, our country not only has a $14TRillion national debt, but also $110 TRillion of UNfunded liability courtesy of Social Security, Medicare and the federal side of Medicaid. No one ever talks about these things or this UNfunded liability . . . but something that’s even less obvious and even more secret: roughly $88 TRillion in UNfunded welfare liability is also coming our way in the next 44-45 years.

#6 is Obamacare and its travesties are just coming to light. It is a nightmare fiscally, will destroy the health insurance industry and the health care industry as we know it. Count on old folks dying courtesy of the rationing which the newly-appointed health care director openly expressed. As well, a lot of infants also will prove to be “not viable enough” to warrant all the health care bucks and services and time that would be needed to keep them alive. And from having the highest cancer cure rate in the world, count on the United States gravitating toward the rate of Great Britain where early intervention against cancer is somewhat of a joke.

#7 is the right to a good education. Wow, Ph.D’s for everyone? Rajjpuut went through college courtesy of the GI Bill he earned and five different jobs he held and wound up with a 3.92 GPA despite taking as many as 29 hours in two different quarters. A lot of people getting through on mommy’s and daddy’s money wasted their education and their time in Rajjpuut’s not-so-humble opinion . . . what’s wrong with people working to put themselves through college? Why should anyone be guaranteed a college education as Barack Obama has promised to provide?

#1 the right to a useful and remunerative job. Really? What about the right of an employer to hire who he needs and only who he needs and to pay them what he must to get good work out of them all the while keeping his company afloat? Study after study has shown that minimum wage laws just put more people out of work and threaten the solvency of more businesses . . . so much for government interference in the marketplace.

#3 means that an inferior farmer has the right to survive and charge enough to cover his ineptitude. He grows cotton in the north and succeeds in half the years but is frozen out in the other half, why should anyone give him more than top dollar for an inferior, at best crop?

#5 Sounds pretty nice. Actually, the policies of FDR favored big business and cut the throat of small business which is one great reason why the Depression lasted almost ten more years after FDR came to power. But if it really were true, big IF that, just as in the case of the farmer, why should someone be forced to pay more than top dollar if the product is inferior or the process to produce it is inefficient? So much for the “Second Bill of Rights!

In other words, FDR who gave the country almost ten extra years of Depression and who ran promising to cut taxes and cut spending but did just the opposite, was the king of the early progressives and the first clearly socialist president and was aiming to move the country toward something quite close to communism. And remember he only created 40 new government agencies Ol’ FDR, while Obama created 390+ just in one law: Obamacare. Gotta love them progressives, don’t you?

** Building the Panama Canal and establishing National Parks have to be called progressive by anybody, not that they were bad but that the people had NO say in their implementation; why not have a parks amendment voted on? Teddy feared it wouldn't pass or it wouldn't pass quickly enough or wouldn't set aside enough money, etc., etc., so he abrogated the people's right to decide the issue . . . .
